Excellent meal! I can't remember the last time the food and service were this good. On point. From the first sip of beer to dessert, we enjoyed absolutely everything. Soup was tasty, Lamteller (mix grill of lamb) prepared perfectly, just like the vegetables that accompanied it. I'm not a fan of green beans, but the way they were prepared there, I could eat them every day. Everything was tasty. Even the salad dressing was tasty. I thought the apple strudel tasted bland, until I took it with a bite of ice cream and realized I was eating it wrong. Anyone visiting Stuttgart, this is a restaurant you don't come across very often. Local dishes and you can taste that the food is prepared with love and pride. I can recommend everyone to come and eat here when you visit Stuttgart

I have known Kirchtal for many years. It's one of my whole family's favorite hangouts. Good cuisine, very nice and courteous service.

Very tasty Croatian food... Reasonably priced, service was very nice. We found it particularly nice that the waiter showed the food from the neighboring tables before he served it so that we could make our decision more easily. It was as tasty again as it was in Kirchtal 17 years ago... in between it wasn't as good, but now it's great again. Easily accessible by public transport.

The food is authentic. The operator is polite and hospitable. The food was always good to very good, of course as a guest you have to communicate politely in advance and communicate your wishes (for example, I like less salt and NOTHING from the deep fryer) At no time did anyone from my environment feel like they were being criticized or insulted by extremists, which is why I would like to put some of the reviews into perspective here and reduce them to misunderstanding... In history, mass and good, hearty food were the main reasons for staying in the Kirchtal. When the American garrisons were dismantled in the 90s, the Kirchtal had to adapt somewhat and still live up to its reputation because most people came to be fed cheaply. With the previous generation (the two brothers) we were regularly up to 10 times a year... standstill... reopening... Corona, whatever. The current operator is in no way inferior to the previous one and we have been there about 8 times in the last 2.5 years and will also be there next week with 8 people.

The food is good, but Ajvar and onions decorate the plate. Everyone has to decide for themselves whether the price is right, based on what is left.

The restaurant was opened 30 minutes late. The cashier said he forgot to open… The waiter smelled strongly of cigarettes, it was a bit disturbing. The food was mediocre even with a very good mood...sorry because we came on a recommendation.

None of the three cards (Mastercard, Maestro, and Visa) were accepted. It is impossible that none of them worked; this has never happened to me in years of business travel around the world. All of this was accompanied by rudeness and discourtesy. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Located in the middle of Zuffenhausen, you can't expect much from the ambience. Looks rather cozy with the old wooden tables and chairs. The food was good but not flavorful. The portions are large. The service was attentive.

Das Kroatische Restaurant hat neben landestypischen speisen auch schwäbische Küche! Das Ambiente ist ungemütlich und lieblos eingerichtet, die von mir gewählte Grillplatte für 2 Personen die plattte war reichhaltig allerdings sehr salzig und die Pommes nicht knusprig das Ayvar war aus der Dose und das Fleisch trocken. Der Freundliche Kellner versucht mit Witz die schlechte Stimmung seins Chefs zu vertuschen. Fazit ch habe mich nicht wirklich als Gast gefühlt!

Essen war besserer Durchschnitt. In Stuttgart gibt es einige bessere kroatische bzw Balkanrestaurants. Gleich zum Empfang wurden wir wegen dem Namen als Kroaten tituliert und dementsprechend kroatisch angesprochen. Am Ende wurde unsere Begleitung, deren Eltern aus Kroatien stammen,sie aber gebürtige Stuttgarterin ist, gefragt wo sie von "unten" herkomme und was sie dann hier überhaupt macht, unten ist es viel schöner. Sie lebt hier weil es ihre Heimat ist. Total unverschämt von einem Kellner diese Aussage zu tätigen. Falls das ein Witz unter "Balkanesen" war dann ist er total nach hinten losgegangen. Das Ambiente des Restaurants war ansprechend.

Das Essen war super Lecker, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis top! Sehr freundliche Gastgeber, auf jeden Fall wieder!

Gutes Essen, große Portionen, fairer Preis. Der Grillteller inkl Salat waren sehr gut. Manche reagieren eventuell auf das Fett, mit dem gebraten wird. Das Eis und der Pfannkuchen waren ebenfalls gut. Die Bedienung war sehr schnell und professionell. Parkplätze an der Straße sind eher schwierig zu finden, zumindest samstags.

Sehr lecker. Balkanplatte für 2 Personen bestellt. Hat für 3 gelangt. Bin eine gute Esserin. Musste aber auch kämpfen.

Der erste Grillteller mit paniertem Schnitzel aus der Fritteuse. Ćevapčići waren Mini und trocken genauso der Spieß. Kein Vergleich zu früher.

The food was amazing and the staff was very considerate. We tried a plate for two and loved it. We eat a lot and there was more food than two people could eat. Three people could reasonably share it. Additionally, the quality and diversity of the grill was fantastic.

I went here early in the day with 2 people. Service is very prompt and friendly with good English as well as German. The food is good, but it could be great. Had steak with Spatze and a Putenschiztle. Both were very good but I feel if the menu was smaller and guided you more towards a few specialties they could serve only what was great. The atmosphere is quaint with a traditional setting, very cozy and easy to sit back after dinner and have some drinks. Good food, great service, great price.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir mal wieder im Kirchtal zum Essen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war wirklich gut. Alles frisch zubereitet.

Wirklich traditionelles Interieur. Freundliche Bedienung. Zwei Speisen als Mittagstisch. Eines war für mich der schwäbische Klassiker: Linsen/Spätzle/Saiten. Spätzle und Saiten ok, die Linsen für meinen Geschmack etwas zu matschig.
