Quaint, very good food. Lovely ambiance. A good place to stop at almost any time of day. Bavarian tapas, Cordon Bleu, Brizza, Kaiserschmarrn—simply everything.

Very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. After 10 minutes, our order was finally taken. The crust on the knuckle of pork was rubbery and the sauce minimal. When the table was cleared, we were asked for the bill. After that, the waiter tried to ignore us for about 20 minutes, collecting bills from tables around us. When I loudly pointed out that I wanted to pay, he became rude and explained that he had more to do. Unfortunately, the meal ended badly, and one of our former favorite restaurants in Bad Füssing is history.

The food is good, but he also knows the prices, especially for drinks. You can get them much cheaper in Bad Füssing.

Ate there yesterday. Disappointingly, after finding a live maggot, I was asked if I wanted a new salad. No thanks, thanks. No apology from the kitchen, no reduction in the drink or bread. We got a table for two without any problems. The ambiance was very nice, with various compartments to choose from when booking. We were surprised and didn't regret it. The waitress was quick to take our order. We received both drinks and food without long waits. We had the lady steak with rösti, incredibly delicious. The chicken wasn't dry either! The Kaiserschmarrn for dessert was a dream! One star deducted for the fact that the staff were quite stressed and hectic, we were somewhat forgotten after dessert, and the tables are sometimes so close together that it's difficult to have a private conversation.

On Thursday, I attended a live music evening at the Hofschänke, actually expecting the Styrian Hannes to play again. This made my disappointment even greater: Instead, another band performed, whose singing was unfortunately abysmal. Far too quiet, often off-key, and at times, the notes were truly subpar. There was no atmosphere at all; rather, the performance seemed unpleasant and unloving. It's a real shame, because the Hofschänke is actually a great place for music, but without the Styrian Hannes, the evening was a huge disappointment for me.

Very quaint and quick, friendly service

We ate there yesterday; the ham noodles were absolutely delicious. The potato salad with grilled sausages was also delicious. The waiter, from Hungary, was super friendly. Even when he was being chased around by other guests, he remained friendly throughout.

We enjoyed it and it tasted good. The price-performance ratio is really good.

We were there again and the waitress wasn't there. Therefore, the service was very friendly and good, and we'd be happy to come back. We ate here today. We had meatloaf and chicken burgers. The food was very good again, but if it weren't for the friendly Hungarian waiter, the service would be a waste of time! We had to shout out loud every time we wanted to order. Otherwise, no one would have come. You're literally left high and dry. That's unacceptable. The red-haired waitress has no control over her tables. She's friendly, but she just doesn't come. Ah, I just see, I'll have to eat now. Today we were very disappointed with the service and didn't tip the waitress either. If you work in the waiting room, you should also check on your tables. We definitely would have eaten more, but then we didn't feel like it. I've now re-rated and reduced it to 1 star! I sent an email describing our incident, and no one bothers to respond! The waitress with the reddish hair charged us for something that wasn't served. Because we didn't get a bill, we didn't notice at first. It's not about the money, but rather the fact that the service was absolutely terrible, and that shouldn't happen. It wasn't even full. We sat alone inside, and only one area outside was occupied! Never, never again! The poor Hungarian, who's the only friendly, fast, and great-looking guy here.

My meal (cordon bleu with potato salad) wasn't particularly good. The cordon bleu came from the deep fryer, and the potato salad came from a bucket (you can do that, but then it shouldn't taste like it came from a bucket). Also, the food came much too quickly, which isn't a good sign. The service wasn't particularly friendly and seemed rushed, even though it wasn't really busy. All in all, it was a mess. That's my personal opinion.

I like it here; I can eat simple, good food. I watch football on TV. Sitting outside is cozy.

At first, I thought it might be some kind of tourist trap place. But I was wrong. Great service, nice atmosphere, even football broadcasts, if you like. And the food... I'd never heard of a pretzel pizza. It's absolutely amazing. But my girlfriend's goat cheese salad was also super delicious. I'd gladly go back.

If you like being constantly bombarded with loud music, this is the place for you. Plus, a rude waiter if you don't order quickly enough. Unfortunately, the meat was bone dry, and the sour cream wasn't fresh anymore; it had a bit of a tang. More show than substance.

We've been there several times, but as of today, we'll never go back to this restaurant. We sat at a quiet table that wasn't set. The waiter didn't even bother to ask us why we'd chosen that table. I wanted to explain to him that my son is autistic and needs a quiet spot. But the waiter wasn't interested at all. He simply said that this table wasn't being served.

Salads were fresh and very tasty, and plentiful. 5* @all

Visiting the Hofschänke is a must for me during my annual vacation here in Bad Füssing! The food is absolutely delicious, and I can enjoy it in peace and quiet in this cozy place!

My wife and I were on holiday in Bad Füssing this week and we noticed that the Hofschänke is a typical Bavarian restaurant! I really wanted to have pork knuckle with bread dumplings again and on Monday it was on the weekly menu! The food was great! Typically Bavarian! My wife had the cheese spaetzle and it tasted wonderful! Only the Bavarians and the Swabians can make proper cheese spaetzle! The beer was also typically Bavarian, really delicious, especially in a cold stein! On Thursday there was a musician there who played traditional Bavarian music! All in all, a couple of wonderful and fun evenings at the Hofschänke in Bad Füssing! Finally, the apple strudel was a real strudel dough and the Kaiserschmarrn was typical of Bavaria! Many thanks to the Hofschänke team for the delicious food and drinks!

We had dinner today. Even though the place was packed, we didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. The burger was fantastic. The staff is very friendly and quick, but you still have time for a quick chat. This is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. The selection of food is fantastic. The prices are reasonable. There's something for everyone.

My wife and I visited the Hofschänke restaurant because it serves hot meals throughout the afternoon – a definite plus for us, as we like to eat a little later. Our original goal was to enjoy a classic Bavarian roast pork, as is common in many inns. The menu listed a dish of this kind, but upon closer inspection, it turned out to be Surbraten – salted pork. Since we were hoping for a more traditional roast made with fresh meat, we spontaneously decided against it. It should be noted that while Surbraten is a staple of the cuisine in certain regions, it's not necessarily expected in a roast pork. Whether this was a conscious culinary decision or a cost issue, we can't say. Instead, we opted for two schnitzel dishes – the Wirtshaus schnitzel and the Hofschänke schnitzel with stuffing, each with potato salad. Both dishes tasted okay, but lacked any particular refinement. The service was unobtrusive: friendly enough, but not particularly attentive or warm. The ambiance is typically Bavarian and clearly strives to create a rustic, down-to-earth atmosphere. Overall, a solid, 24-hour restaurant that serves its purpose – however, for an exceptional culinary experience, we would choose elsewhere.

Service was fast - food was very good and the terrace was very nice - we will be back

Last Wednesday we went from NL to Bad Fussing. Wednesday evening we had dinner with 4 people, nobody had finished their plate. We took house specialties. It was crap of the highest category. Very disappointing. The service staff was also very curt, no customer friendliness to be seen from the too old and uninspired waiters. They looked at us out of the tent, appropriated the tip for themselves. All very unfortunate and a big disappointment. The beautiful establishment deserves a better chef, better service and passion for the profession of owner. My tip, absolutely skip this tent.

The chicken burger really wasn't good. So much BBQ sauce with cranberries and cheese - it didn't go together at all. I was looking for the cheese, a thick gherkin on top. I said so too. The nice chef's answer: I can understand that. There are bones in the chicken breast and the fries are OK.

We had Bavarian tapas for 15.90 and a drink. Seriously, the value of the food here is less than 3 euros. It wasn't good for that. The location brings in a lot of tourists without any problems. The service could have easily sold twice as many drinks if they'd just been a bit more attentive. We both come from the restaurant industry (we also have our own businesses), and we were more than disappointed.

We had high hopes and were unfortunately disappointed. While we had made our online reservation (confirmation by email) on the Hofschänke's website, the waitress didn't know about the reservation and simply offered us to find a free table. Since there were plenty of them, this wasn't a problem for us. Then the service became a problem. The young man seemed more passing through than genuinely interested in our order. He also wasn't able to make a non-alcoholic shandy from the non-alcoholic wheat beer offered. When we couldn't immediately suggest an alternative drink (less than a minute), he left our table on his own, saying he'd be back later. The time he saved could obviously have been much better spent chatting in a parked car in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, we felt almost none of the "warm hospitality" described on the restaurant's website throughout the entire evening. The food is really good, if not outstanding. The climax came at the checkout, when the young man asked us at the card machine whether we should add the tip. No, of course not, was our reply. Here, it seems to be more about speed than the customer. That's sad, because hospitality involves more than just a quickly served plate.

The ambiance isn't great—there's still a lot of room for improvement. I have grumpy service in the canteen at home—a shame.

If you're looking for Bavarian tradition, excellent food, and first-class service, the Hofschänke is the place to be. A visit is always worthwhile – we highly recommend it!

We reserved a table the Thursday before for Saturday, 2P. Unfortunately, there was no information here about the fact that football was being played loudly on several televisions in ALL the dining rooms on Saturday. The service seemed extremely overwhelmed that evening and also unfriendly. It is well known that in such a restaurant you have to share a table with several people and it is hardly a problem for us. However, it is common for guests to at least sit opposite each other and share the table without sitting opposite strangers. This was not the case here. Without comment, we were seated at a table where we had to sit next to each other and across from other guests, who also seemed unhappy about this situation (but the restaurant can't do anything about that). Because of these circumstances, we left immediately and didn't order anything. It's a shame, we were hoping for more.

We always went there on Sundays for the Weißwurst breakfast. Great white sausage. Everything was fine.

It has always been our favorite restaurant over the past few years, but the quality of the food has declined considerably. The schnitzel we ordered was hard and very dry, and the fried potatoes still had their skin on!!! That was not acceptable at all.

The greeting was rather cold, actually a reason to leave because you don't feel very welcome. The ambience was rustic, yet modern and inviting, there was football on the big screen TV and party hits. I found it a bit inappropriate for Sunday, but the place is geared towards a party-loving crowd. Everything was ok with the food, but I missed the depth, the kick, the feeling that it was made with love. It seems to be more about quantity here. You cooperate with local businesses, which is a good thing. Conclusion: unfortunately just average. There was a lack of a welcoming culture (the most important thing) and heartfelt cuisine.

Cozy restaurant with very nice staff. Unfortunately the food can't keep up. It was the worst Cordon Bleu in a long time. Made carelessly in the deep fryer and the taste reminded me of frozen food.

It could be quite good if a little more friendliness was shown at 4:30 p.m.

We had ordered a Cordon Bleu and were disappointed, it was completely overcooked (deep fried dark brown) and therefore very dry with very little cheese in it, a few unsalted fries and that was totally overpriced for 17.90 drinks, you don't have to charge five times the price, that's usury.

A top-class tavern! This inn is a real gem! The food is not only excellent, but a culinary experience - fresh, tasteful and prepared with a lot of love. I was particularly impressed by the beer from the wooden barrel – a real treat! Franz is an incredibly great host who creates a great atmosphere with his warm manner and humor. You feel welcome and well looked after from the first moment. Conclusion: An absolute must for anyone who appreciates good food, excellent beer and fantastic hospitality. I'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was not satisfactory. The food left a lot to be desired: parts were burnt, the schnitzel was incredibly dry and had the consistency of leather. In addition, orders were forgotten but were still on the invoice. The waiter also seemed disinterested and came across as if he didn't want to do his job. Overall it was a disappointing experience, especially at the prices you'd expect to justify better quality. Unfortunately I won't eat here again.

Actually a quaint pub. We have known the store for more than ten years. However, the price/performance ratio has now become quite skewed. More than €5 for 0.5 liters of light is not even charged in the top holiday areas of the Baltic Sea or North Sea. This destroys pub culture. In comparison, the Hofschänken breakfast with white sausage, rolls and half a beer for under €10 is a real bargain.

We were there in October. The food was good, the portions were very generous, the live music was so-so. Our waitress, Ms. Irina, looked after us very nicely and competently. She served us the food with a smile, always asked if we needed anything else, not pushy, quick and committed. We were so excited that we came more often than planned. Happy to come back!

Especially during the hop harvest time, it would be nice if real hops could be used for Dwko. (But that's whining at a high level). What wasn't so nice: we had the Bavarian tapas. We immediately returned the bread for the tapas because there were 2 moldy slices. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have had bad luck at this restaurant. During a visit in May, one of us had a knuckle. The service was very friendly and the ambience was ok. However, the food was very bad, the schnitzels came out of the deep fryer, they were dry and partly burnt, the fried potatoes tasted more like caraway seeds than fried potatoes! We cannot recommend this restaurant 👎🏼

We ate here last night, but unfortunately it was the first and probably last time. The first thing that surprised us was why almost all the tables were empty at 6/7 p.m., but we didn't think anything of it, it's Tuesday, so there probably aren't that many people eating out. After we received our drinks and food, we continued... The sauce from the onion roast tasted like pork gravy from a bag. In addition, no one asked how they wanted the meat. The tarte flambée wasn't the best either. The icing on the cake was the dessert. I ordered apple wheel, advertised on the menu with cream and vanilla ice cream for just under 8 euros... I got 3 pieces and then without ice cream, which I thought was very cheeky... It's a shame, because the ambience is actually really great.
