Gaststätte Hofschänke am Thermenblick in Bad Füssing

Unfortunately my visit to this restaurant was not satisfactory. The food left a lot to be desired: parts were burnt, the schnitzel was incredibly dry and had the consistency of leather. In addition, orders were forgotten but were still on the invoice. The waiter also seemed disinterested and came across as if he didn't want to do his job. Overall it was a disappointing experience, especially at the prices you'd expect to justify better quality. Unfortunately I won't eat here again.

Actually a quaint pub. We have known the store for more than ten years. However, the price/performance ratio has now become quite skewed. More than €5 for 0.5 liters of light is not even charged in the top holiday areas of the Baltic Sea or North Sea. This destroys pub culture. In comparison, the Hofschänken breakfast with white sausage, rolls and half a beer for under €10 is a real bargain.

Ate there twice. Quaint tavern with something for everyone on the menu. Delicious food, generous portions.

We were there in October. The food was good, the portions were very generous, the live music was so-so. Our waitress, Ms. Irina, looked after us very nicely and competently. She served us the food with a smile, always asked if we needed anything else, not pushy, quick and committed. We were so excited that we came more often than planned. Happy to come back!

Service very friendly, fast and attentive. 5 stars on that front. The decoration in the guest room was made of plastic. Especially during the hop harvest time, it would be nice if real hops could be used for Dwko. (But that's whining at a high level). What wasn't so nice: we had the Bavarian tapas. On all the plates it turned out that the salad decoration was already wilted and rotten. However, due to the quantity, this could only be determined after we had eaten most of it. We immediately returned the bread for the tapas because there were 2 moldy slices. The service staff was pleasantly touched, but the new slices didn't seem to be completely fresh anymore, as they were at least very dry. We decided not to complain again because we were hungry. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have had bad luck at this restaurant. During a visit in May, one of us had a knuckle. Back then it was like it was made of rubber, so it was probably pre-fried and then quickly and quickly warmed up for consumption. After these two visits it is clear to us that we will not try this restaurant again.

The service was very friendly and the ambience was ok. However, the food was very bad, the schnitzels came out of the deep fryer, they were dry and partly burnt, the fried potatoes tasted more like caraway seeds than fried potatoes! We cannot recommend this restaurant 👎🏼

We ate here last night, but unfortunately it was the first and probably last time. The first thing that surprised us was why almost all the tables were empty at 6/7 p.m., but we didn't think anything of it, it's Tuesday, so there probably aren't that many people eating out. After we received our drinks and food, we continued... The sauce from the onion roast tasted like pork gravy from a bag. In addition, no one asked how they wanted the meat. The tarte flambée wasn't the best either. The icing on the cake was the dessert. I ordered apple wheel, advertised on the menu with cream and vanilla ice cream for just under 8 euros... I got 3 pieces and then without ice cream, which I thought was very cheeky... It's a shame, because the ambience is actually really great.

Conveniently located, versatile seating options (outside, inside, winter garden), Bavarian-rustic waiter, food was top (also senior portions on offer). On my next vacation in Bad Füssing we will be at this location again - greetings from Magdeburg

Absolut nicht empfehlenswert, Reservierung hat per E-Mail zwar geklappt, aber nicht die gebuchte Räumlichkeit erhalten, Servicemensch Tomaz hektisch, unfreundlich und genervt, für ihn ist der Gast der größte Feind. Preis Leistung ist nicht gerecht.

The 6th attempt was again a disaster in terms of service, our service person Tomaz was hectic and annoyed as always. For him, the biggest enemy is the guest! I had booked in the main restaurant unfortunately we sat on the veranda!

Die Reservierung in diesem Restaurant funktioniert überhaupt nicht. Wir haben bewusst in der Hopfen Lounge reserviert und uns würde die Reservierung auch bestätigt. Dort angekommen hieß es, dass wir dort keinen Platz mehr haben und uns wo anders hinsetzen müssen!

Oh, here the quantity comes before class. At first glance, rustic Bavarian with solid cuisine, but then the disappointed awakening in the rip-off reality: Rostbratwürstel very bland, sauerkraut overcooked and lukewarm, fried potatoes fat and from yesterday. The boiled beef was bland, the root vegetables were a joke and the horseradish sauce was wordless. The catering is totally hectic, time is money... And the price is underground for everything on offer. The German catering industry is constantly complaining about the post-corona pandemic and is increasing prices because it is supposedly threatening its existence. But the locations are currently so overbooked that nothing works without reserving a table in advance. Poor business, like everywhere else, there is a lot of complaining at a high level, but nothing really pleasant is offered. It tastes best at home!

Cozy Bavarian inn. Bavarian menu and Bavarian beer. Just like Prussia imagines Bavarian tavern culture.

We were there on December 23rd. Prices are high, but unfortunately the food is not up to par. Cheese spaetzle with ready-made sauce? Schnitzel chewy and probably fried instead of fried. Wouldn't eat there again.

The service was completely overwhelmed, we wanted to order something to eat, that wasn't possible, the waitress didn't want to accept it the first time, and then she didn't come back. I had to find someone to pay. Totally hectic and uncomfortable.

The food and atmosphere were great! The service was kind of weird! The highlight was the extreme waiting time until you were allowed to pay (it really wasn't funny anymore)! I also don't understand the extreme price of beer (€5.20)! It's totally untypical for Bavaria and, to be honest, a disgrace!

Nice service, rustic atmosphere, you can always find something to eat from the extensive menu. The daily specials are also varied. If you want entertainment, you're in good hands here, there's even live music on Fridays. You can also pay by card here.

The atmosphere is really nice and encouraged us to go in. The waiter's first sentence/words: to drink? It was 6 p.m. and not much going on yet. He came back with the drinks: for dinner? On the tablecloth you could already see the different dishes from the day or days?? I ordered the dish of the day, farmer's chicken with potato salad... I got dried out chicken where I couldn't even get the skin off. When I pointed out that this had probably been on the grill since the morning, the waiter said I can't wait to be served fresh, juicy chicken, it takes 3 hours to cook!!!!!???!!! This probably doesn't need any further comment...

We enjoyed being here for many years. Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience this year. Drinks on the menu that aren't available all week and cocktails that are served without ice. Too bad.

We go to Bad Füssing twice a year and always go for a meal. We had a steak, which was good, but the potatoes were burnt, but the staff didn't care. We always liked coming here, but we were very disappointed by the attitude of the staff.

It was our first time here and we were really happy! The food was great, the service attentive! The air-conditioned interior is a big plus! We'd love to come back!

I'm in Bad Füssing almost every month and today it was the Hof Schänke's turn. Unfortunately that was a really big mistake! The staff is unfriendly and annoyed when you politely ask them to remove the full ashtray from the previous guest. The salad we ordered wasn't really beautifully presented, it was totally unloving and that's exactly how it tasted. For almost €16, I think you could at least make a little effort? There are 2 stars because the beer was good. Conclusion! As an Austrian, my taste buds were insulted here. I'll definitely come back to Bad Füssing next month, but never to the Hof Schänke again

Ich musste in der Hofschänke leider erleben, dass eine Frau im Rollstuhl schlecht behandelt wurde. Der Kellner schickte sie grundlos von ihrem Platz weg, mit der Begründung dass er sonst nicht genug Platz zum Servieren hat. Es wäre für den Kellner keine großen Umstände gewesen, 2 Schritte mehr zu gehen. Das hat mich enttäuscht.

We were in the hofschänke for the second time today and enjoyed a wonderful experience for the second time. The atmosphere is really very friendly and very appealing, especially with the nearby fountain. We had different food yesterday and today and there were several people and it was consistently delicious. This restaurant is a wonderful addition to the vacation

Also bestellt haben wir Tafelspitz mit Merrettichsauce, Wurzelgemüse und Salzkartoffel. Bekommen haben wir anstatt Merrettichsauce einen Wurzelsud. Da ich Lebensmittelallergiker bin, Was ich der Bedienung auch sagte, führte es dazu, daß ich mich auf der Toillette übergeben mußte. Der Hammer war zum Abschluß die Rechnung. Ein Bier 0,5l kostete sage und schreibe 5,20€. Da kann man aufs Oktoberfest auch gehen. Euer Goldfinger

Wir sind mit dem Radl zu Hofschänke,es ist gut erreichbar und Stellplätze gibt es auch genügend.Das Ambiente wie immer super.Leider wurden wir dieses Jahr vom Preis/Leistung's Verhältnis sehr enttäuscht. Wir sind gezielt wegen Kaiserschmarrn hier her.Bis dato für mich das beste seiner Zeit. Heute, geschmacklich nicht mehr zu empfehlen leider.Es war auch nur noch quasi Kinder Portion sorry.

The Hofschänke was the only restaurant that broadcast the European Championship games. We preferred to reserve a table for the Germany game on Friday. The reservation went very well and the staff was very friendly and reserved a good spot for us. It was very busy on Friday, the waitresses handled everything confidently and were very quick and always friendly with a smile and a funny saying on their lips. The food was very tasty and the kitchen also coped very well with the rush. Everything was fresh, hot and there was a sufficient portion. We felt very comfortable and had a lovely evening in a good atmosphere. The restaurant was very clean and decorated in typical Bavarian style. I only have one small criticism: There was a plastic straw in our aperitif that was a little too short for the glass. There is definitely an alternative variant here.

Immediate service. Didn't have to wait long for the food. It was very fresh and super tasty. We ate there at EM time. You also have the opportunity to eat in front of the TV where football is on.

Meat not properly burned (pork). The smell of the meat is borderline. Fries were probably picked up from behind the barber shop. I recommend choosing another restaurant if you want to eat good food.

My husband ordered liver spaetzle soup and a tarte flambée, I ordered a salad with chicken and a stick of garlic. This was still lukewarm. All very tasty. The waiter was also nice and attentive. When we are back in Bad Füssing we would like to come back to the Hofschänke.
