Very friendly staff. We got a table for three right away. Pleasant atmosphere, and the food was delicious 😋

I only give it 4 stars because the sweet and sour Peking soup and the sweet and sour sauce were diluted. My wife's lychee juice was also diluted, unfortunately! We've eaten here several times in the past, but it shouldn't have been that bad. Unfortunately, the prices have also gone up. Otherwise, the food was good as always – friendly service.

The restaurant is now called Golden Star. Typical Chinese restaurant. The food was very good, the portions perfectly adequate. Friendly staff. Price-performance ratio was completely acceptable. It would have been nice if the duck with bamboo shoots and morels had included morels.

We had high hopes for the Gold Star restaurant, but were unfortunately very disappointed 😞. By the way, the restaurant is no longer called Shanghai Restaurant!!! We ordered two wonton wrappers, thinking each would be a thick dough wrapper with a filling. We were presented with six over-fried airy dumplings with nothing inside. 6 euros per person for six pathetic little wrappers. When we asked the manager about it, she claimed that the wrappers contained very thin meat. This is, first of all, a disgrace for us, as we were being taken for fools, and it's not true at all. If we had been reviewers, this restaurant would have failed for the appetizer alone. Furthermore, the air in the restaurant is stale, and the ambiance is otherwise unappealing. The restrooms really need a complete overhaul. The toilets stink, and the walls and everything else look truly awful. Just looking at this, you have to think twice about whether you even want to eat there!!! Now I feel sick from all this greasy stuff, thanks for that 😤 😡 😠

A really good Asian restaurant. It's worth a visit.

I ordered a set menu and a lychee spritzer with ice cubes. In the almost empty restaurant, it took almost 10 minutes for the spritzer to arrive without ice cubes. I waited 15 minutes for the appetizer, then a spring roll was brought instead of the soup I ordered. The portion of the main course I ordered was quite small. Then, in the cooler outside temperatures, the door to the terrace directly opposite me was repeatedly opened. The bill I ordered only arrived after I insisted. Bottom line: it's not necessary. With the owner's lack of interest, I'll skip him in the future.

Super delicious and everything freshly prepared. We had two different dishes: fried noodles, sweet duck, and chicken with vegetables. We'll definitely be back.

Good food and nice hosts, very friendly service and great ambience

The Top Star restaurant, no longer Shanghai, is located on the first floor in 2025. It features friendly service and seating inside and on the balcony. Food is served on hot plates with extra rice and beautiful carved decorative animals. The Drunken Chicken from the specials menu is highly recommended.

I haven't had such delicious food in a long time. Fresh ingredients, highly recommended.

Very nice restaurant. Food was very tasty and came fresh from the kitchen quickly. Unfortunately we ran out of orange juice and had to switch to Cola. But it wasn't a problem. Very nice and friendly owner. Went there on Monday evening and there was very little going on, which surprised me a bit. The prices of the dishes are slightly above average. But tasty. In terms of portion size it could be a little more. We'd love to come back.

It's no longer called Shanghai but Golden Star. It's crazy how delicious the food was and how nice and friendly the service was. 🤗 Everything on point and at a fair price. Would love to come back

I ate out several times during my rehab in February 25 and have to say that every time it was great, very friendly, good atmosphere.

Everything was delicious, especially Schweinbällchen and sweet&sour sauce. All the dishes were well seasoned (and not too seasoned) and neatly served. The service is kind and friendly! 👍😊

We had duck and chicken, which were both very crispy and tasty, although there was a deduction for the sauces, which were all relatively tasteless (peanut sauce, dark sauce, and sweet/sour). Service was very friendly and the atmosphere was as it should be in an Asian restaurant.

The food is okay, nothing special. But what doesn't work at all is the dirty toilet. If you leave beforehand you won't have any appetite afterwards and you have to be careful that the food doesn't come back up. The owners of the store should be ashamed to offer something like that to a guest.

Cozy restaurant with a nice selection of food. Was there late at night and the service was very quick. The staff are very friendly and give a good classic feeling of a Chinese restaurant. It would be desirable to be able to pay by card.

Unfortunately the Shanghai Restaurant was a big disappointment. Although the menu specifically stated that the dishes "contain flavor enhancers", the dishes completely lacked flavor. The spring roll was more reminiscent of an empty pillow - without filling and without flavor. The sauces, which were supposedly made with "flavor enhancers", had no real taste and seemed bland. The rice was not cooked through and remained “al dente”, which is an absolute no-go with Asian dishes. The portions on the lunch menu were so small that they were more reminiscent of children's portions. Despite the moderate prices, the quality was in no way convincing. Even for a restaurant in the provinces, the overall rating is unfortunately “poor”. It lacks both authentic taste and appropriate portion size. Anyone looking for a real Asian taste experience will be disappointed here. Improvements in quality and preparation are urgently needed to raise standards.

Went there at lunchtime and ordered sweet and sour duck (lunch menu). The Duck was good, the vegetables were firm to the bite and tasted simply good. The sweet and sour sauce was finely tuned! Inexpensive and delicious food. The only point of criticism is the toilet - you have to get a coin in the restaurant, otherwise you pay 50 cents to use it!

This was our first time here, even though we go to Bad Füssing very often! Incredibly nice staff, very friendly service! The food is very tasty, nothing overly seasoned in the Chinese style! We would love to come back on vacation

We were there for dinner in a larger group. We had booked a table there in advance, which worked out after a few minutes over the phone as there were slight language barriers. When we arrived at the restaurant there were only two people in the restaurant. There were enough parking spaces directly in front of the house. The restaurant is on the first floor of a department store that is already showing its age. After we were assigned a seat, it took a few minutes for the drinks to be taken. After another 10 minutes everyone had a drink at the table. In general, the restaurant was decorated in a typically Asian style, the lighting in the room was very dim, which somewhat detracted from the ambience. In total we ordered 15 different dishes from the menu, these will also be included in the rating. A soup from the starter was not really hot but only lukewarm. We were disappointed by two dishes that were shown on the menu as side dishes at 3.80. These are the order numbers B1 to B3 from the card. Since we had two vegetarians with us, they only wanted to order fried noodles, which were offered at 3.80. Since this is a side dish without a main course, the owner informed us that it should cost 7.30. The sweet and sour sauce with the rice of another dish was not a challenge in terms of taste and was almost cold. The only highlight on the plate were the butterflies made from carrots to visually enhance the dish. The price of the dishes was acceptable for a health resort. But when I compare this Asian restaurant with others, it is below average. The consistency of the dishes reminded me of snack food.

ich wollte nur eine kleine beilage essen weil ich keinen hunger habe. dann bekomme ich mit dass ich statt 3,80€ einfach 7,50€ zahlen muss?! das ist wirklich eine große Frechheit für so eine kleine Portion so viel zu verlangen als wäre der rest des essens nicht eh schon teuer genug. ich musste ganz schön viel zahlen dafür dass ich echt wenig bestellt habe. das ist wirklich eine große Frechheit!!

Besuche dieses Restaurant seit Jahren immer mal wieder! Preis-Leistung (va. die Mittagskarte) ist unschlagbar und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Essen ist ok. Meiner Meinung nach fehlt aber Würze und Geschmack. Service ist aber top. Gibt jedoch bessere Restaurants.

Dezember 2023 Wir sind sehr freundlich empfangen worden und hatten auch einen Tisch reserviert. Das hat sich als richtig herausgestellt. Innerhalb 30 Minuten war das Restaurant voll. Das Essen war gut und wir kommen wieder. 41 Euro für 2 Personen.

Durchschnittliches asiatisches Lokal mit üblicher Speisekarte. Freundliche Bedienung. Preis-/Leistung ebenfalls durchschnittlich. Essen ist gut, Portionen ausreichend aber nicht üppig.

Essen und Service ist sehr gut Ambiente oldscool - Die Toiletten haben einen sehr intensiven Geruch (Abzug sollte auf Funktion geprüft, zumindest gereinigt werden)

Sehr nettes Personal, wir sind freundlich empfangen worden und wurden zügig bedient. Das Essen war schnell da und sehr lecker. Gute Portionen, wir sind gut satt geworden. Das Lokal liegt im ersten Stock eines alten Kaufhaus und hat eine Dachterrasse.

Wir wollten dem Restaurant eine Chance gehen, leider müssen wir sagen: „nie wieder“! Es war katastrophal und ekelhaft! So abgelegen das Restaurant auch ist, so ist die Küche auch. Es tut mir leid so eine Bewertung abzugeben, aber genießt die anderen Lokale.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Toiletten mit Münzen, ( gibts beim Personal)Rolltreppe in 1 Stock defekt oder ausser Betrieb. Essen guter Standard.

Sehr gutes Essen, nette Bedienung, doch die Toilettentür stört sehr, die knallt immer zu. Man könnte auch die Eingangstür schließen damit man nicht so gestört wird.

Das Essen war gut die Bedienung war gut nur die laute toilettentür die ständig benutzt wurde störte sehr doll

Das Personal ist überaus flott und freundlich, das Essen kam schnell und war sehr sehr lecker. Die Portion hätte m.E. nach noch etwas größer sein können aber das ist Ansichtssache. Eine Empfehlung wert!
