Gaststätte Groov Terrasse in Köln

Wir waren schon in sehr vielen Gasthäusern, das war mit Abstand das allerletzte was wir dort erlebt haben. Ein wunderschönes Ambiente mit total überforderten und unfreundlichen Personal. Nie wieder werden wir dort eine Einkehr machen.

There were four of us there. Then two meals came. After ten minutes we asked for the other two dishes. These were forgotten. :-( The awkward waitress cleared away three empty glasses from us, but didn't ask us if we wanted to order new drinks. The two meals delivered were fine. Actually, the beer garden is there, but you could do a lot more with it.

In der Groov ist dies sicherlich der am schönsten gelegene Biergarten. Mit einer netten Bedienung gepaart mit den Sprüchen eines Köbes komme ich auf 2 von 5 Punkten. Vielmehr Positives lässt sich leider nicht mehr sagen. Da wir mit Kindern hier waren wollten wir für die Kinder auch etwas frisches oder mit Gemüse bestellen. Allerdings gibt es in den Kindergerichten nur die Klassiker mit Pommes oder Nudeln mit Sauce. Als Erwachsene haben wir uns für das Schnitzel Wiener Art zum einen mit Bratkartoffeln und zum andern mit Pommes entschieden. Leider waren alles nur TK Produkte. Selbst bei den Bratkartoffeln hat der Koch diese definitiv zu lange in der Pfanne gelassen. Wer nur etwas trinken will, wird hier eine schöne Lokation vorfinden. Sollte man jedoch auch etwas Essen wollen, so gibt es sicherlich bessere Lokale am Ort.

A bit rustic but otherwise quite good. It was a bit dirty inside where we sat. Unfortunately it was not possible to sit outside due to bad weather. The food and service were okay.

We wanted to have a nice drink after a nice walk. When we sat down, we were quickly given the menu by a middle-aged lady and asked if we would like something to drink. We said that we actually just wanted something to drink. After that, no one paid any attention to us anymore. In the meantime we had decided that we would eat a salad. When after 5 minutes no one wanted to take our order, my husband said that when our food was served we would pay directly. But after 10 minutes no one wanted to serve us, we left. If it had been full I would have understood it. But there were only a few tables occupied and they already had their orders. The lady who had given the cards was nowhere to be seen.

Great service. Delicious food at normal prices. Highly recommended.

After a long wait I was able to place my small order. Two drinks, a summer salad and one children's fries. After asking, the drinks only came with the food. So you sit dry for a long time. The straw for the child was never brought despite asking. The fries were ok. The salad was a bag mix on a deep plate and two mini slices of untoasted bread. The salad was without dressing even though I was asked for the dressing I wanted when ordering. Oil, vinegar and salt, pepper were not added. I was hungry and ate it almost dry. I complained about it later. There was no excuse for it. And I had to pay for it too. Price for cola, spritzer, salad and fries 25 euros. That's a proud price for what's on offer.

Pretty racist and didn’t like having to speak English for some reason. Really weird but has a nice sitting area.

After the change of ownership, there is no comparison to the previous style! Good brewery food, very nice service, á la carte and self-service area, food truck (in summer). We love being there now.

Directly close to the Rhine, you can go for a walk after dinner. Monday is burger day. Delicious selection of burgers.

A nice place to enjoy a beer, some food and summer evenings outside on the terrace. The waitress assigned to us was a disaster. Noticeably limited enjoyment of work, absent for long periods in between, contrary to what had been agreed with the owner, the end of the party was announced at 11 p.m. 1 hour before the agreed end of the party (midnight). She would pour out the half-full Pittermann that we had previously ordered if we didn't empty it. It was a surprise birthday party for our nephew. As an owner, I would be motivated to have an employee interview in private. Doesn't fit at all with the otherwise beautiful overall impression of this restaurant.

After 25 minutes of waiting without being noticed, we left. Too bad.

Everything we ordered was very tasty. The salad dressing is simply great.

The service was very friendly at the beginning. There were two of us in the restaurant. My meal was served 10 minutes before that of my companion. (There was no apology etc.). The BBQ burger was very tasty. Unfortunately the baked potato was a bit rubbery. We weren't asked if we liked the food, etc. The waiter was only friendly until we rounded up the amount of money when paying (no big tip). Then it was just “Bye!” and he reacted a bit rudely.

Very nice, large terrace in a cozy atmosphere. The service employees are on point, very friendly and very communicative, despite the high volume. :) There is something on the menu for every taste. Great value for money as the plates are very well filled. We'll definitely be back! :)

We were in the beer garden yesterday and spent a lovely, cozy evening there. It was busy, but despite everything, the service was great and never forgot to ask if we wanted something more to drink. There is currently also a screen for the Olympic Games there. We'd love to come back.

See gay unfriendly!!! The boss is very, very unfriendly. The staff apparently felt turned on by us. Unfreundlich ohne ende. Wir haben mit netten Kellnern spaßig umgehen wollen und dann kommt der chef uns zusammen scheißen. Das essen war roh. Steak für 35€ war für meinen hund.. sehr unfreundlich. Sehr unzufrieden! Schrott laden..

Yesterday I wanted to have lunch with a friend. After a walk along the Rhine, we came to the side terrace, which is quite large. At first glance it wasn't clear to us whether there was service or whether you could order something at the pavilion that we saw from a distance. So we were heading in that direction when a waitress came by with a tray of drinks. I then just said, ah - ok, there is no self-service here, as I see... The "lady" then looked at me disparagingly and said: "I won't say anything about that now"... At my uncomprehending look, she snapped in an impossible tone : “If there was self-service here, it would probably say self-service, you've probably seen it before, right? You just have to find a place…” Yes… We looked for a place. In one of the neighboring bars, where people communicate with each other respectfully.

The location is nice, by the water, the Olympics were playing in the background. The service staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good. The fries were soggy and the tarte flambée was frozen. The schnitzel is definitely not “hand-made” as it says on the menu. Unfortunately I can't recommend it, at least not for food. But you can drink comfortably and sit together here. Seat cushions would be nice on the chairs!

The food was really delicious and was served incredibly quickly. Likewise the drinks. Unfortunately, it has to be said that our waitress seemed to be having a bad day. We ordered from another waitress (after being served food and drinks several times by other waitresses), and were then reproachfully asked by the actual waitress why we had ordered from the other one, since she wasn't responsible for us. Of course, as a guest you always know very well that there is only one service person who is allowed to serve you - not! All in all, it's a shame because she apparently had a hard time forcing herself to smile. Even after the table was cleared, no one asked if we wanted to order anything else, and two out of four people were sitting there without drinks.

We visited this restaurant on Thursday, July 25th at lunchtime. We sat at one of the lovely shady tables under the trees. So far so good. Unfortunately, the young man who served us didn't fit into this beautiful atmosphere at all. He seemed completely overwhelmed and out of line. It started with him asking us twice, 12 minutes apart, if we had ordered yet. We only had 2 Kölsch! When we told him we wanted to pay, nothing happened. Instead the young man cashed in on 3 other tables. When we signaled to him AGAIN that we finally wanted to pay, more Kölsch were brought to us. The man was completely overloaded, but then became rude to us. Our conclusion: If we see that this waiter is serving, we move on. There are plenty of other good restaurants on the Groov!

Absolut unterirdische Bedienung. Der junge Kellner war total überfordert! Zunächst fragte er uns im Anstand von 12 Minuten, ob wir schon bestellt hätten. Hatten wir! Und zwar lediglich 2 Kölsch. Nach einiger Zeit sagten wir ihm, dass wir bezahlen wollten. Es passierte nichts ... statt dessen kassierte er an 3 anderen Tischen ab. Als wir ihn daran erinnerten dass wir doch bezahlen wollten, wurde uns weiteres Kölsch gebracht. Auf meinen Aufschrei reagierte der Kellner dann noch sehr frech. So lange dieser Kellner bedient, werden wir dort nicht einkehren und statt dessen ein anderes der tollen Restaurants an der Groov aufsuchen.

Nice terrace, great service and good food

I was traveling with my racing bike and, as is often the case, made a spontaneous stop, looked for a place on the terrace and parked my racing bike behind it. The waiter said it shouldn't be there, I tried to explain that it didn't bother anyone and it didn't bother me I have a lock and don't leave my 8000 euro racing bike somewhere out of sight anyway, he wasn't interested so he moved on again, this is about the principle the shop was empty and if you don't want to make money please.

Was there yesterday and ordered steak with fries. Steak was great but fries were very labely and had too much fries seasoning on them and were from the bag. Ketchup and mayo were slapped on fries. True herb butter in a separate bowl I would have expected the ketchup and mayo too. Grilled vegetables The carrots were almost raw. He wanted to remake the vegetables for me, but then the rest would have gotten cold. I found the staff to be very friendly, you could also joke with them, but when you bring someone food to the table you don't constantly run your hands through your hair and I would think about it, maybe uniform clothing in a restaurant, no dirty sneakers or labels Jeans or a T-shirt. The one girl with long dark hair was just busy with her hair, which is actually tied up in a restaurant. Given the price I would have expected more, more of a snack bar style rather than a restaurant atmosphere. And if you have an outdoor restaurant you should make sure that the table doesn't always wobble when you eat.

Price and performance ok Very friendly. But you can only get to your room from 5 p.m.

It's great to sit here and drink a few beers. Service a bit slow though. Nevertheless, we would like to try again.

Very nice outdoor restaurant, as it is located directly on the Groov. However, the service is subpar. If you order a large Kölsch, which in Cologne is usually 0.3 or a maximum of 0.4l, you will receive a 0.5 tankard without asking (!). In addition, the service staff are very inattentive even when the workload is low. The food, Wiener Schnitzel, didn't taste good. In addition, table reservations are not possible online via the website, although this is explicitly stated. Alternatively, you can request a table via Instagram, but you won't receive an answer here either.

Never experienced such unfriendly service and left straight away. It's a shame, we have a nice outdoor terrace and we wanted to have a nice meal. But the woman who “worked” there in service today isn’t even worth one star!!!!

After a bike tour along the Rhine, we took a break here in the afternoon. The service was very friendly and the food and drinks came very quickly. We recommend. Now for the World Cup, public viewing will also take place there. Great.

Actually a nice beer garden, but today the service was unfortunately very bad. First we had to wait a long time until we could order. Then only one meal came and the second meal wasn't there even 20 minutes after the first meal. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't really respond to the complaint. We just had a drink here! The mushroom bottled beer was served without a glass, every beer drinker knows that pilsner is only drunk from a tulip so that the taste comes out!

Beautiful destination on the Rhine. Ideal as a starting point for longer walks or to take a break. Unfortunately, when the weather is nice on the weekend, it can sometimes be very busy, i.e.... too crowded.

The new management is working hard on the title "Insider tip for going out on the Groov" You might not think it from the outside, but the dining room is really cozy and inviting. We were surprised. The terrace is currently still fighting the rush on sunny days. You should be patient if you also want to eat. But compared to the last few years, it looks like a successful new start

Very nice restaurant and, when the weather is nice, a highly recommended hotspot for young and old and every now and then with great events such as a DJ with chilled house and summer beats. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. By the way, it is also very suitable as a stopover for long bike tours...but try it out for yourself and form your own impression...have fun 👍😉🍀🌞🌻💓

Die Groov-Terrasse in Porz Zündorf ist einer der Schönsten Biergärten im rechtsrheinischen Köln. Wir kennen das Lokal seit Jahren und es war schön zu sehen, dass die Anlage nach sicherlich hohen Investitionen mit neuen Wirt wieder an den Start ging. Doch ein erhebliches Problem blieb dem Lokal leider erhalten. Köche, die nicht in der Lage sind ordentlich zu kochen. Samstag, 20.04. waren wir zum Abendessen hier. Meine Partnerin bestellte sich Hähnchen Medaillons mit Gemüsebeilage und ich war begeistert von der Spargelkarte und bestellte, Spargel mit Sauce Hollandaise, Kartoffeln und einem Schnitzel Wiener Art. Was mir da aufgetischt wurde, hatte mit dem, was auf der Speisekarte stand und dem was ich bestellt hatte nicht das Geringste zu tun. Der Spargel war etwas zu kurz gekocht, die Sauce eine absolut geschmacksneutrale Mehlpampe mit Sahne oder etwas Anderen gepanscht. Lediglich die Kartoffeln waren normal. Bei dem Schnitzel handelte sich zum ein fertig paniertes Tiefkühlprodukt, das vermutlich in Pfanne oder Fritteuse gegart wurde. Solche Köche gehören geschult oder ausgetauscht. In jedem Fall, sollte man keine Spargelkarte veröffentlichen, bis jemand am Herd steht der kochen kann. Aber ist der Ruf erst ruiniert, lebt man damit ungeniert. Und läuft dann wie früher unter Tourikneipe Massenabfertigung ohne jeglichen Anspruch auf Qualität. Für beide Essen haben wir 50‘00 € bezahlt. Wir hätten gerne 20‘00 € mehr bezahlt, wenn es geschmeckt hätte. Schade um so ein schönes Lokal

An absolute secret tip when the weather is good. We didn't eat anything. The service was super accommodating and friendly, not overly so. A very nice spot to spend a nice afternoon for a few hours and take a leisurely walk 😉☀️

As of: April 9, 2024 It's been a while since we had lunch with the family in the restaurant's beer garden. The portions were tasty and simply delicious. Good and friendly service that fulfilled our dining wishes. Wonderful leisure opportunities with the lake and the water fountain. Wonderful walking paths invite you to go hiking. When the weather is great, the location is very well attended. The atmosphere is family.

We ordered from the daily menu there, it was delicious. Unfortunately my meat wasn't cooked through, so they heated it up again for me. You can sit well and have a big plus so you can take your dog with you. There are seating options inside and outside. The service was quick, the toilets are clean.

There are a few places there where you can eat well. Good places to stop for refreshments after a bike ride.

As a wedding photographer, I am lucky enough to visit many beautiful places. I was very impressed by the Groov Terrace and is definitely one of my recommendations. The on-site team is extremely professional and courteous. For couples looking for a stylish location, the Groov Terrace is an excellent choice. Photo tip: Go to the beach on the Rhine. Wonderful couple photos are taken there!

A nice corner in the summer to go for a walk and great events are offered there. Unfortunately, corona has attracted a lot of things, including beer, a 0.2 glass glass costs 2 euros 50, and a small bottle of water costs 3 euros 50. That you don't force yourself to spend money so that you don't have a hole in your cash register. You can eat really well there.

Wir waren gestern mit Freunden dort essen, und wir waren allesamt begeistert. Schönes Ambiente , sehr freundliche Bedienung, Essen top, Preisleistungsverhältnis top. Perfekt. Ein Highlight an der Groov. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Angenehm überrascht hat uns heute die Gaststätte Groov Terrasse. Wir sind mit 5 Personen zum Mittagessen eingekehrt. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung, die von außen nicht unbedingt zu erwarten war, hat uns auf Anhieb gut gefallen. Gegessen wurden Schnitzel Wiener oder Jäger Art sowie Currywurst (180 g Rostbratwurst) und eine Folienkartoffel mit Hähnchenbrust. Die Beilagen zu den Schnitzeln konnten je nach Belieben angepasst werden. Die Portionsgrößen waren mehr als ausreichend, die Qualität hat uns zudem überzeugt. Der perfekte Service hat das Gesamtbild dann noch abgerundet. Danke für den angenehmen Aufenthalt. Von uns gibt es eine klare Empfehlung!

21. 09. 2023. Beerdigung von Hans Günter Wachtendonk aus Köln Zündorf. Leichenschmaus in Buffetform. Sehr ansprechend angerichtet, geschmacklich ausgezeichnet, freundliches Personal. War schön öfter dort, Speisen a la' carte immer OK. Danke an das gesamte Team für die von Ihnen hervorragend erbrachten Leistungen am Beerdigungstage meines Marine Freundes " Günni ".

Biergarten, könnte lediglich Unkraut zwischen den Platten gejähtet werden. Ansonsten alles tutti.

2 Getränke bestellt: 1 wurde vergessen und Glas war halb voll. 2 x Groov Pommes Spezial bestellt, wurden ohne Besteck und Servietten serviert -,Musste ich an der Theke selbst abholen. Ungeschultes Personal und Chaos auf der ganzen Linie. Schade, dass ist einer der schönsten Biergärten von Köln. Und die o.g Pommes Spezial, schmeckten wie Pappe. Spezial: 1 Spritzer Mayonnaise + Ketchup + ein Paar Zwiebelwürfelchen = 13 € Mit ungelerntem Personal geht halt nichts

Leider nicht wirklich empfehlenswert die Bedienung war nett und hilfsbereit aber das Essen ist einfach nicht gut.

Was für ein tolles Restaurant! Wir saßen zu 2. draußen und wollen eigentlich nur eine Kleinigkeit zu uns nehmen. Wir entschieden uns für Currywurst mit Pommes sowie Gulasch ebenfalls mir Pommes. Die Portionen waren sehr groß. Wir konnten uns gut satt essen. Die Qualität der Speisen war ebenfalls einwandfrei. Das Ambiente eine glatte 1, man kann es auf dem Video sehen. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und flexibel. Klare Empfehlung! Weiter so!!! :)
