Not bad, but we expected a little more. The atmosphere is quaint, but very loud, and the service is friendly. We're not really impressed with the food. The chicken in the piri-piri marinade was a little weakly seasoned, whereas piri-piri is associated with a bit more spiciness. The sandwiches with sauce take a little getting used to and are expensive for our taste. The grilled cod tasted good. We found the drinks quite expensive for Plauen standards. Nevertheless, an enrichment for the Plauen gastronomy scene, which will definitely find its audience.

We had booked a table for 5 p.m. When we arrived at 5 p.m. we were immediately told that we had to be ready by 7:30 p.m. I think it doesn't work at all. The price-performance ratio of the portions is far too high. The drinks prices are also not appropriate for the region.

Completely overpriced dishes. Too little on the plate. All children's portions. Beer 5.90. Spiders probably. Nothing typical of the country. Not recommended. Price performance is not right. Food not worth the money.

The service was, as always, great 👍 we don't know anything else about him 😉 that's how we know and love him! The ambience was good. However, you can't sit comfortably for very long and the more guests came, the louder it became and it was difficult to understand the person opposite you. The map was clear, which I think is very good! The food, yes, was ok! Unfortunately the meat wasn't that good, the rump steak was very thin and therefore pretty well done, i.e. dry! The meat skewer was very dry! The chicken was very tasty! The fish, the calamari and the sardines were super good. The fries, rice and side salad were also very good. The dessert, lemon tart and biscuit cake were also very tasty. And the wine was also very tasty 😉😜 We'll give the postage another chance, but we also hope for an improvement!

The service was really good, funny and completely uncomplicated. The food was good, there's definitely still some room for improvement, but thumbs up. The ambience is as it is. It's somehow quaint, cozy. You just have to support a Portuguese restaurant in Plauen, people - go there, eat, drink and have fun. A little tip, work on the wine list a bit, there are much better Portuguese wines for the same price - you can ask me ;)

Service very friendly. Main courses tasted good. The starter of tomato soup for the three of us was at most lukewarm. Ambience can still be improved.

Were there for the first time yesterday. You had to get used to it because the ghosts of the lion were still buzzing in your head. But everything is very nice. The food was great and something different. The service was super nice and the women were given a small rose for Valentine's Day. We'd love to come back again. P.S. It's a shame that the Lion's reviews are still there. 99% of the bad reviews have nothing to do with the postage.

The food tasted good so far. However, it was only served lukewarm and cooled down very quickly. This always leads me to suspect microwave heating. The fries were rubbery and also quite cool, as if they had been sitting for a long time. The portions were ok. 90 euros for three, that doesn't work very often. The service was friendly. The ambience is clocky, but everything is very loud. As there were a few more people, we found it difficult to have a conversation. I think that was a unique thing for us. What is unfortunately true in many Plauen restaurants is that they are not suitable for the disabled. Just to get to the toilet you have to climb a very steep staircase. And also individual steps in the restaurant.

We've wanted to go to the new "Portuguese" in Plauen for a long time and today was the day. We really liked it and tasted it even better, even the little one said we could go here again. The menu is varied and whether fish or meat, everyone will find something. A great addition to Plauen's gastronomy 👍 If you haven't been there yet, you should definitely try it out... 😋👍

We had a great evening in Porto. The food was very casual and the Mouse ou Chocolat was great. The waiter (Chefe) was very friendly, just as we always knew him.. always had a casual saying on his lips.. thank you very much for the extra treat.. the girls were very happy. See you next time.

An extraordinary restaurant with a cross vault in the dining room, delicious food at fair prices paired with great service.

We chose the postage for our practice Christmas party and were very satisfied. We felt warmly welcome from the start with extremely friendly service. Despite the restaurant being completely full, we never had to wait longer for drinks or food. The meal was excellent! We were very satisfied, will definitely come back and can only recommend Porto.

We ate here with 9 people and were greeted and served in a very friendly manner. The food was very good and the portions were generous. We felt very comfortable and would definitely like to come back. A real enrichment for Plauen's gastronomy and reasonable in terms of price-performance ratio.

At first glance, the inn is okay. The food was ok. But what doesn't work at all was the men's toilet. The absolute highlight was the bill. I can't accept that. Always nice and black in your bag. Absolutely unfair to those who work honestly and pay taxes.

Schade das es keine Punkte 10+ gibt, denn das wäre angemessen für das Gasthaus Goldener Löwen in Kloster Veßra! Sehr angenehmes Ambiente, der Wirt ist sehr höflich und zuvorkommend und das Essen einfach frisch, einach nur köstlich, dazu auch günstig. Kann ich nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen!

Not bad, but still needs improvement

We were invited for the second time. And were disappointed for the second time... There was grilled duck for €20 which never corresponds to the price. Duck was more than bone hard, dumplings weren't cooked through, sauce tasted nothing. Red cabbage wasn't the best either. Plates were cold, as were the dishes themselves. Goulash wasn't fresh either, more like it came from a can. Pasta for the children was inedible, just ready-made sauce used. Then the wrong food was brought and the request was made to change it again. They said no, the kitchen doesn't do anything anymore. If such dishes are offered, you should also know something about your craft. You could list more, but I think it's annoying enough. Excuses were also more than questionable. Service itself was ok...you had to wait a little longer for drinks.

Der goldene Löwe ist eine rustikale Gaststätte mit einer gutbürgerlichen Küche.

Tolle Bedienung mit viel Schwung. Alles in Allem empfehlenswert.

Bedienung war unfreundlich und obwohl wir als größere Gruppe reserviert hatten war kein Tisch vorbereitet. Fenster durften wir auch nicht öffnen, obwohl es sehr stickig war...Die Gerichte waren relativ überschaubar....fühlten uns insgesamt nicht willkommen!!!

21:15 Uhr nach langer Autofahrt sind wir dort reingestolpert. Die Bedienung fragte erst mal was wir Essen wollen weil die Küche dann schliesst :) war sehr sympathisch diese Reihenfolge. Ich hatte Steak au four - war sehr lecker. Mein Mann hatte Sülze mit Bratkartoffeln - er hat auch nur positive Kommentare beim Essen. Danke und weiter so.

Wir haben auch spät noch etwas zu essen bekommen. Das Essen war reichlich und sehr gut, aber vor allem die freundliche Bedienung machte den Abend zu etwas Besonderem. Sie versorgte uns auch noch mit Tipps für die Freizeitgestaltung in und um Plauen.

Susi hat uns super bewirtet und top Infos rund um Plauen gegeben. War ein lustiger Abend!

Top Essen, sehr guter und freundlicher Service, Preis/Leistung passt. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, hat nichts mehr mit 'früher' zu tun... Kurzum... sehr gute deutsche Küche in einem sehr schönen Ambiente.

Sehr gutes Essen zu einem sehr fairen Preis. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.

Restaurant urig und das Personal sehr freundlich. Wir saßen nicht im Hauptraum, deswegen wurden wir n bissl beim Getränke nachbestellen vergessen. Aufs Essen mussten wir leider auch etwas länger warten. Dann war beim Kind Pommes statt Bratkartoffeln, wie auf der Karte drauf. Dies wurde nach einer Erwähnung aber behoben. Und vom Geschmack waren wir alle sehr zufrieden. Vorallem die Bambes waren 1a.

Silvesterfeier: Menü war klasse, Getränke in Ordnung, Stimmung gut, Musik mit technischen Problemen ganz gut.

Wir waren zwischen den Feiertagen vor Ort. Der Service war gut und freundlich. Das Essen war leider sehr grenzwertig schlecht. Ein Essen war nur lauwarm und zwei andere waren geschmacklich und optisch schon etwas älter . Die Qualität war schlecht.

Wir waren zum Weihnachtsessen im Goldenen Löwen. Wir saßen hinter dem Stammtisch, der selbst am 2. Weihnachtsfeiertag stattfand. Die Männer waren viel zu laut, haben keine Rücksicht genommen und sich daneben benommen. Wir werden nicht wieder in den Goldenen Löwen kommen. Sehr schade, weil das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung ausnehmend freundlich.

Wir waren zum Weihnachtsessen im Goldenen Löwen. Wir saßen direkt hinter dem Stammtisch, der extrem störend und laut war und sich nicht zu benehmen wusste. Leider hat das alles andere überschattet. Man konnte sich nicht unterhalten und war eher beschämt. Schade, weil das Essen und die Bedienung waren sehr gut.

Preis Leistung passt nicht so gut. Da wird einiges ausgenutzt.

Urige Gaststätte. Essen (Bambes mit Lachs) hat geschmeckt, war aber vergleichsweise teuer. Teuer auch die Getränke, enttäuscht war ich vom zuckrigen Billigtonic.

Weil einige Gaststätten am Samstagabend voll waren, waren wir hier gelandet – aber wir haben es nicht bereut! Das Restaurant hat ein typisch deutsches Kneipen-Ambiente. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Es gibt gute, interessante Biersorten vom Fass und die Gerichte, die wir bestellt haben, waren beide sehr lecker. Übrigens, der „Große Würzfleisch“ ist wirklich sehr groß!

Ich denke eine schöne Gaststätte, wenn man mal mit Kumpels wohin gehen will. Das Essen war bloss leider kalt wo es kam. Hat aber geschmeckt, nachdem es erwärmt wurde.

Deutsche Küche bei lauen Temperaturen im Biergarten. Wenn es dann auch noch schmackhaft ist, kann man sich nicht beschweren. Die Bedienung brachte uns zeitnah das leckere und nicht zu teure Schnitzel. Die Tische waren gut besetzt. Zeigte es uns doch, dass man hier gerne einkehrt. Auch wir fühlten uns wohl.

Wir haben im Biergarten gegessen. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war gut und hat gut geschmeckt. Der Biergarten ist klein und hat einen Zugang von hinten von der Straße. Zum Bezahlen mit Karte muss man allerdings ins Lokal gehen, was etwas umständlich ist.

WIr hatten Salat und Schweinesteak. Das Essen war gut und reichlich, Bier für 2,5€ völlig OK. Leider wurde im Lokal geraucht, was es für nicht-raucher sehr unangenehm macht.

Das Essen und die Bedienung sind leider auf unterstem Niveau. Zuerst mussten wir sehr lange auf das bestellte Essen warten, bei Rückfrage wurden wir von der Bedienung auf unfreundliche Art abgebügelt. Das Essen war abechselnd fade oder versalzen, da lasse ich mir in einer Pommesbude gefallen, aber nicht in einem Restaurant. Dort sieht man uns nie wieder!

Habe mich nicht von den Bewertungen von irgendwelchen Leuten beeinflussen lassen und muss sagen es ist eine der besten Gaststätten in Plauen. Das Essen war sehr gut. Die Weizenbiere auch und der Chef und seine Angestellten waren sehr nett. Ich komme mit Sicherheit wieder - alle negativen Bewertungen sind Unrealistisch - müssen von der Konkurrenz sein

This is a decent spot to stop in for a beer. The food is pretty standard German pub fare, don't expect anything particularly healthy. It is all very filling and served hot. The local beer, Sternquell, is quite good and readily available here. This is a popular spot with locals. Staff is friendly. For the amount of food you get this is very reasonably priced, it is good for eating on a budget. This place may be tricky to navigate if you don't speak German but if you are just looking for a nice hearty meal it is a good choice.

Schlechter Service, üble Beschimpfung meines ausländischen Freundes, Naziembleme überall. Ganz schlimm!

Ich kann den Schreibern der Bewertungen nur zustimmen. Wir sind noch nie so unhöflich und pampig bedient wurden. Das Essen war einfach nur mies und das Lokal macht einen schmuddligen Eindruck. Aber der Höhepunkt war der Gastwirt selbst. Erst stand betrunken am Ausschank. Geht gar nicht!!!

So einladend wie auf dem Bild sieht es dort auch nie aus. Hat in jeder Hinsicht eher Bahnhofskaschemmen-Charme. Nichts für ein gemütliches Glas Wein. Eher für biertrinkende Bauarbeiter.

Solch fettes Essen wurde uns noch nie irgendwo serviert! Schrecklich! Service freundlich, aber das konnte auch nichts retten...
