....als "alter" Kunde (zB Alt-Kegler, "Mitesser") kann ich die Küche nur in höchsten Tönen loben!

Heute Mittagstisch.Fleisch war trocken und fest.Kaum Sosse.Es hatte einen komischen Geschmack. Wir haben gleich was mit dem Magen bekommen. Schlechte Bedienung. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Sehr nette und sehr aufmerksam e Bedienung, immer wieder gerne hier.

Trotz vollem Haus, sehr freundliche Bedienung

Eine gute, klassische Gaststätte wie es sie nur noch selten gibt. Leckeres Essen und gemütliches Ambiente zum einem absolut gerechtfertigten Preis. Es hat schon seinen Grund, warum es diese Gaststätte schon seit Jahrzehnten gibt.

Waren aufgrund einer Einladung hier. Ambiente wirkt nicht gut in Schuss (Vintage gibt's auch in anders...), Personal nur teilweise bemüht.

Eines der letzten deutschen Lokale mit gut bürgerlicher Küche. Das Personal sticht mit einer großen Freundlichkeit hervor. Die Speisen sind gut zubereitet und werden nach kurzer Wartezeit serviert. Der Mittagstisch wechselt täglich und kann im Internet eingesehen werden. Die Einrichtung erinnert an die 70er Jahre aber eine Umgestaltung würde die gute Atmosphäre zerstören. Super leckeres (gut bürgerliche Küche) Essen zu angemessenen Preisen! Umfangreiche Speisekarte und sehr netter Service!

Wir waren am Ostersonntag hier essen und waren leider ziemlich enttäuscht – was wir so eigentlich gar nicht gewohnt sind, da wir das Restaurant sonst als sehr lecker und freundlich in Erinnerung haben. Zunächst einmal war die Speisekarte extrem eingeschränkt. Von sonst über 190 Gerichten gab es gerade einmal etwa sechs zur Auswahl. Natürlich ist Ostern ein besonderer Tag, aber diese starke Reduzierung fanden wir doch sehr überraschend – vor allem, da es auch nur ein einziges Kindergericht gab. Besonders ärgerlich: Auf diese eingeschränkte Karte wurde im Vorfeld nirgends hingewiesen – weder bei der Reservierung, noch auf der Webseite oder vor Ort am Eingang. Ich hatte ein Schnitzel bestellt, das leider nicht wirklich überzeugen konnte. Es wirkte nicht wie frisch geklopft, geschmacklich war es zwar in Ordnung, aber insgesamt nichts Besonderes. Das Eis zum Nachtisch hat uns überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Positiv hervorzuheben ist jedoch die niedersächsische Hochzeitssuppe – die war wirklich sehr lecker. Beim Personal hatten wir teilweise den Eindruck, dass es etwas überfordert war. Das ist an Feiertagen zwar nachvollziehbar, hat aber trotzdem das Gesamterlebnis etwas getrübt. Was uns ebenfalls negativ aufgefallen ist, sind die sehr hohen Preise – gerade im Verhältnis zur eingeschränkten Auswahl und der Qualität fanden wir das nicht angemessen. Insgesamt würden wir diesmal etwa 2 bis 2,5 Sterne vergeben. Wir hoffen, dass sich das bei einem nächsten Besuch wieder verbessert, da wir das Restaurant eigentlich deutlich besser kennen.

Sehr gute Hausmannskost zum fairen Preis! Man wird sehr freundlich begrüßt und bedient. Große Portionen bei denen jeder satt wird, schnell, lecker und ansehnlich angerichtet! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Freundliches und. aufmerksames Personal, selbst unseren Hund durfte mit rein und hat ein Leckerli bekommen (nach vorheriger Frage).

Very tasty food at reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Classic German food with good options for vegetarians and vegans. I recommend you make a reservation as they are always busy. We had our wedding celebration here and it was wonderful!

We've been going to the Geldmacher restaurant regularly for lunch for several years. They offer a different, inexpensive dish every day, which you can find on their website. All of the daily specials have been excellent, generously portioned, and lovingly prepared. There are always fresh, white tablecloths and a flower on every table. The service is also very attentive. If you enjoy freshly cooked, home-style dishes, you're in good hands here.

We ate there on Sunday without booking... We actually wanted to eat there for our wedding, but that wasn't possible because there were more of us. So we made it happen and weren't disappointed. We were also able to sit outside in the garden, and food was served even after 8:00 PM. Which isn't always the case everywhere!!! The service was very, very friendly, and the environment was very clean and tidy. The food was served very quickly, with soup and salad plates. The food was well-seasoned, very tasty, and plentiful. Very friendly, considerate, and friendly service... I would definitely recommend it, especially with family. A big plus for me is that you can also bring your dog. That's not always possible everywhere. A very lovely and wonderful family business.

The staff is generally friendly. There are many vegan options, and the food tastes very good. However, the prices are a bit higher (at least €20 per person/main course). I'd recommend serving the dishes with a little less oil. Otherwise, great!

Who's posting "closed" here??? Hello everyone. Currently, they have chanterelle mushrooms in a variety of varieties. I highly recommend them. A cold beer 🍺 and the day is your friend. We've been guests at Geldmacher for years. We love coming to the restaurant. Keep it up. P.S. Probably the best schnitzels around...

A classic village pub with friendly staff and truly delicious food that's also pleasing to the eye. The prices are reasonable.

We were there with 15 work colleagues. The service was very attentive. The food was served to everyone in quick succession, so no one had to watch the others eat. And everyone seemed to enjoy it. Unfortunately, the furniture is quite dated, and the restaurant doesn't look appealing from the outside either.

A traditional restaurant that lives up to its name. The decor is rustic. But you don't expect fancy at Geldmacher. The food is consistently delicious. I highly recommend the schnitzel topped with Camembert and cranberries. It's nice and thick, deliciously breaded, and pan-fried, as it should be, rather than "deep-fried" food. The other dishes are also very tasty, and the prices are reasonable. The service staff, who have been with the place for years, are friendly, nimble, and pleasantly quick-witted, as befits a village restaurant. The lunch menu is also recommended. For €11, a delicious portion will satisfy even the most hungry guest. The beer garden is cozy and ideal for a warm evening. I hope we can continue to visit Geldmacher for a long time to come.

Very good German food restaurant

Highly recommended! The meal (asparagus variation) was something different: roasted green and white asparagus and cocktail tomatoes with baked feta. I enjoyed it with three slices of white baguette and a small salad. The staff was prompt and very friendly, even though the restaurant was busy for a Wednesday evening.

It was again very tasty. Grilled plate, I'd say.

I have been here for many years to eat à la carte. Otherwise, I have eaten buffets at many celebrations here over the last few years, which were good and plentiful, but nothing compared to eating on a smaller scale. The menu includes home-style dishes. Seasonally there are e.g. B. an asparagus menu with asparagus dishes in all imaginable variations. I chose a classic of the restaurant, the Vechelder Bürgerteller (3 small schnitzels with roasted potatoes, fried egg and salad). The schnitzels were beautifully tender and crispy breaded. The potatoes were nicely roasted, but since they weren't fried potatoes, they were without bacon and onions. The dressing for the salad was nice and light with a subtle hint of garlic. Our table also ordered a Swabian fillet skewer, an onion schnitzel, a sambal schnitzel and a portion of asparagus with schnitzel and everyone was completely satisfied. The restaurant was very well attended, and there were apparently two celebrations in the house. Nevertheless, the service was friendly and attentive and the dishes came to the table almost immediately. Apparently some people also ordered their food to be picked up by phone. That's what we've decided to do if we don't want to go out for a big meal but want to enjoy home-style cooking. Small note: I've known the restaurant my whole life and I can say that the inside still looks the same as it did before. So if you stop by here, you should know that a rustic atmosphere awaits you here. A table reservation is highly recommended here.

I was spontaneously looking for a restaurant on Easter Monday and came across here. We were lucky, Monday is actually a rest day. We received a friendly welcome with our two dogs. There was asparagus with schnitzel, a decent portion. And there were pork medallions with hash browns. An extra request was accepted and implemented 1:1. Service super friendly, accommodating and ready for a nice chat.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise mit zwei Hunden hier. Das Essen war hervorragend und die Preise sind angemessen. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt.

I ate good, inexpensive German cuisine here for the first time almost forty years ago, and I wasn't disappointed after such a long time - I was more surprised by the service, which was well arranged by the well-rehearsed team of ladies. Definitely come back here. So people who know me, I'm not picky, but if I want German food it has to taste good and I can recommend that

Sambal schnitzel. Treat yourself

Went there for the first time today. We are super excited! Very friendly staff, the food is delicious 😋 I was shown the entire premises by the operators. Craziness! So if you're looking for something nice to celebrate - whether it's a wedding or a birthday - you've come to the right place! Big praise from us! Keep it up!

Our family has been a regular customer for decades. We have always felt welcome by the staff. In a very pleasant atmosphere with very tastefully set tables, fresh flowers - everything tone on tone - you can enjoy the dishes, which are always beautifully presented. Our favorite are the delicious schnitzel variations. Although we are generally very demanding about the meat, we have never had anything to complain about (no fat and no cartilage). We can only recommend you - that had to be mentioned. Thank you very much and keep it up!

The food is simply great and a good selection of the usual home-style and 'modern' dishes. The guest room is cozy and rustic, the adjoining rooms are bright and modern. The beer garden is a little oasis that you wouldn't expect from the main street. We love it and like to go there or get something.

There was asparagus dinner. We had our fill of asparagus with nine people, including asparagus soup, schnitzel, potatoes, ham, melted butter, Hollindaise sauce and scrambled eggs. Really delicious for around €39 per person. Ambience a bit rustic and outdated. Otherwise it was quite good. Wait until everything is on the table before asking if everything is coming...

90th birthday, but it wasn't Ms. Sofie... we were able to enjoy delicious food and very attentive service. Traditional, authentic cuisine. You don't find it that often anymore. The house is a bit old and you get icicles in the sanitary area even when the windows are closed😉😎 but all in all we recommend it ♥️🤜🤛
