Die sehr hilfsbereite Mitarbeiterin Laura half uns bei der Auswahl der deutschsprachigen Speisekarte. Das Essen ist erstklassig – Kalbsschnitzel, Haxe (geschmorte Schweinshaxe) und Apfelstrudel sind jede Kalorie wert! Dieses schöne Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert!

Sie kamen extra aus Wisconsin und behandelten mich wie ein Familienmitglied. Ich habe dort mit das beste Essen in ganz Europa gegessen.

100000 % für den Service! Da geht jedem Gastronomen das Herz auf. Die Tochter vom Chef ist einfach für den Job geboren , herzlich, aufmerksam und mit ganz viel Leidenschaft dabei. So eine Art von Service erlebt man wirklich selten. 👏✨

Einer der beeindruckendsten Orte, die wir je besucht haben. Das Personal hat sich unglaublich viel Mühe gegeben, uns die Speisekarte und die Herkunft der einzelnen Gerichte zu erklären. Einer der besten Services und köstlichsten Mahlzeiten, die wir seit Langem genossen haben. Wir freuen uns schon sehr auf unseren nächsten Besuch.

Ich kenne die Gaststätte em Hähnche durch unsere Verbindung zum Karneval und es ist mittlerweile eine meiner liebsten Adressen in Köln geworden. Es handelt sich hier um eine echt kölsche Gaststätte mit hervorragendem ehrlichen Essen, unglaublich herzlichem Service und Wohlfühl-Ambiente op kölsche Art. Es gibt täglich frische Küche und Auswahl für jung, alt, vegetarisch oder fleischliebend. Der Wirt, David, könnte herzlicher nicht sein. Man fühlt sich durch ihn und sein Team direkt wohl. Ein Gefühl, das gepaart mit dem hervorragenden Essen seltener geworden ist. Wer das sucht, wird hier garantiert fündig. Reservierung wird empfohlen, da bei all den genannten Vorteilen dieses Geschäfts die Kundschaft nicht auf sich warten lässt. Zusätzlich kann man (sofern Termine frei sind), die gesamte Gaststätte für Feierlichkeiten anmieten. Auch das habe ich bereits getan und bin mehr als begeistert. Meine 50 Gäste können das uneingeschränkt bestätigen. :-) In diesem Sinne: wärmste Empfehlung hier zu speisen und einzukehren.

Ich habe diese Kneipe zufällig entdeckt und der Besitzer war super freundlich. Das Essen war auch fantastisch. Ich hatte zehn Drinks, aber mein Handy ging aus, bevor ich weitere Fotos machen konnte. Wenn ich jemals wieder nach Köln komme, komme ich auf jeden Fall wieder hierher!

Sehr gemütliche Eckkneipe, netter Wirt der mit seinem Team gut umgeht! 👌 Essen sah gut aus, wir hatten jedoch nur flüssig Nahrung an der Theke. 😉

Das Restaurant war voll, aber die Kellnerin fand trotzdem noch einen Platz für uns und tauschte mit einem anderen Paar. Das Essen war köstlich, Kotelett und Schnitzel. Es war nicht zu laut. 😃

Ich hatte per Mail für 2 Personen reserviert. Die Reservierung wurde telefonisch bestätigt. Was soll ich sonst noch schreiben? Könnte ich 6 oder mehr Sterne vergeben, würde ich das tun. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich. Das Essen (Kotelett und Nackensteak, jeweils mit Bratkartoffeln und Salat und vorneweg die Kölschen Tapas) gut zubereitet und sehr lecker. Der Service einfach nur super!!! Wir kommen wieder…

Beim Betreten des Lokals fanden wir uns in einem gemütlichen kleinen Pub wieder. Eine sehr freundliche Dame begrüßte uns. Alle Plätze waren ab 20:00 Uhr reserviert, entsprechend gekennzeichnet. Da es erst 18:15 Uhr war, wurde ein Reservierungsschild entfernt, und wir durften uns setzen und in Ruhe essen. Das Essen war köstlich. Wir kommen aus Holland und mussten unbedingt ins Herniaweg. Sollten wir jemals wieder in der Gegend sein, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder.

Diese Art der Gaststätten gibt es leider nur noch viel zu wenig. Komme gerne wieder

Sehr freundlich, sowohl der Besitzer (wir haben nicht nachgefragt) als auch das Personal. Wir sind nur kurz auf ein oder zwei Kölsch vorbeigekommen, aber angesichts des Essens auf den Tischen würden wir dort sehr gerne mal essen gehen. Ein wirklich authentisches Erlebnis.

I highly recommend this restaurant. We celebrated a birthday there with 15 people and ate there as well. Despite the restaurant being full, everyone's food arrived at the same time. It was delicious! I'm thrilled. While it looks like an unassuming pub from the outside, the service and food are an unexpected surprise. The decor: Kölsch, authentic, rustic, and simply cozy. Despite the place being packed, the service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The food was perfect: I had the pleasure of enjoying a three-course meal. Everything was perfectly prepared, presented in a down-to-earth style, and simply delicious. I've had much worse meals in renowned restaurants with significantly higher prices. The value for money is simply excellent. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this pub.

We had reserved a table at the "Em Hähnche" restaurant in advance via email and received a call back from the owner. Since a large group had booked that evening, our preferred time slot wasn't possible. However, this wasn't a problem at all, as the very friendly owner made a great suggestion so we could still enjoy the evening at the Hähnche. Upon arrival, we received a super warm welcome, as if we were long-time regulars. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly, and the young waitress did an excellent job. The ambiance is charmingly rustic, just as a traditional Cologne restaurant should be, but the lovely Christmas decorations created a truly cozy feeling. The food itself was absolutely delicious, and for me, it was the best pork chop in and around Cologne. So, our conclusion... Actually, 5 stars aren't enough, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. ... We will definitely come back to spend a nice and cozy evening at "Em Hähnche"!

We spontaneously stopped in with four people and received a super friendly welcome; the owner immediately found us a table. The food was also excellent, and we were truly delighted. Many thanks to the warm and welcoming owner and his daughter; it was wonderful being there!

We were there with clients. You don't always need three Michelin stars to enjoy delicious food. The restaurant is small but cozy. Reservations are recommended. The service was incredibly friendly, even on the phone. Everything could also be explained in English. The food and drinks were good and prepared quite quickly. They also offer delicious snacks. The pork knuckle was incredibly tender, and everything else was delicious, according to colleagues and clients. We would definitely come back.

This pub was the highlight of our trip to Köln. We booked it for our group of 12 because it is close to the Comedy Bus bus stop. They were very full when we arrived but we were made to feel more than welcome. The atmosphere was great and we were soon part of one big party. The food didn't disappoint and the service staff were phenomenal. In our weekend we visited several of the big Brauhauses but Em Hähnche delivered the best and most authentic Köhl experience. Best shop in Cologne Unique hospitality

First time weekend in Cologne, and this gem became my favorite place! The staff is extraordinary (all of them!) and welcoming. My first attempt to find something to eat didn't work quite as well as the kitchen had just closed. The owner (?) was so kind and apologetic, although it was entirely my fault. Ended up staying and drinking a few refreshing Kolsch with new friends! I came back the day after and had a delicious Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad (that salad was fresh and tasted amazing). I am a Canadian visiting the Cologme for the first time and I knew little of the city and its people. The vibe there is like being with family, and the staff at Gastsatte Em Hahnche are great ambassadors to the city. 100% will go again! Oh. Also had the apple pie. Lovely!

A super cozy restaurant with super friendly, attentive, and competent service staff. A family atmosphere – you can still strike up a conversation here. The food (pork chops, bratwurst and Wiener schnitzel, apple strudel) was freshly prepared and delicious; we've rarely had such good fried potatoes in a restaurant ☺️ To go with it, there was a delicious Gaffel-Kölsch beer – also available in a very tasty non-alcoholic version – what more could you want?! An all-around successful, convivial evening – I can therefore 100% recommend "Em Hähnche." Tip: Reservations are recommended, as the restaurant is very busy and not too big.

Authentic, delicious, and welcoming – a true Cologne gem! I was completely thrilled with "Em Hähnche"! The atmosphere is rustic and cozy, just what you'd expect from a traditional Cologne restaurant. The food was fantastic – the chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, perfectly seasoned, and simply delicious. The side dishes were also fresh and lovingly prepared. The service was super friendly, attentive, and authentic – you can immediately tell that the food here is prepared with heart and passion. You feel truly welcome as a guest.
