Here you ask yourself how this restaurant can receive more than 2 stars. Unfriendly, every course is too much, you feel unwanted. Price-performance ratio is bottom line. €29.90 for a schnitzel with fries, 1 bag of mayonnaise + ketchup in the bag and a salad. A large part of the menu is not available on Mondays. The prices are totally exorbitant for what is on the plate. Never again. Zander file, wrap dumplings, cucumber salad who knows what else wasn't available. Approximately €23 (less the 23% discount) for a naked schnitzel with fries and 1 bag each of ketchup and mayonnaise. Serve with a salad with more brown and green leaves. It's clearly too much money.

Beer garden was very nice. There was live music the day we were there. We also found parking nearby. Everything was fine. If we come to Zwickau again, we will definitely stop by again.

Went there today for a little snack in the beer garden. Atmosphere and beer great. The service is also super friendly. Ordered large spicy meat. Then came the surprise with the bill; a large seasoned meat for €17.50 (previously €10) - quantity maybe 300 g. This information was neither visible on the map outside nor in the map online. The waitress on site then showed me “+10€” in the menu that was placed at the table. The “+” had been added manually. God knows I'm not stingy, but a seasoned meat, even if it's made from veal, of this size, for €17.50 is a disgrace. I don't want to imply that I'm a fool with this scam. Surely they forgot to update the map outside the house and the one online. I would also like to say that I often went to the brewery for a spicy meat and 1-2 beers - that won't happen anymore. A pity. I would also like to say that there is nothing wrong with the quality of the food. Tastes great.

Doesn't refer to food or anything else, but to the absurd sound filling the entire cathedral area from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays with incredibly loud techno music. Unfortunately, any atmosphere/lingering near the cathedral on Sunday makes it unbearable. It is simply incomprehensible that something like this is allowed over 7 hours on Sunday.

Very good service, good beer, food was very disappointing. With a Viennese schnitzel with potato salad for €30, you would expect that the potato salad wouldn't come out of the bucket and that the schnitzel would be tender.

We had driven 650 km to Zwickau for a concert by the band "Toto" and wanted to eat something beforehand so we stopped at the brewery. We had 3 different dishes but unfortunately everyone was disappointed with the dish served. Visually it was appealing but then... . . The fried potatoes and the Rostbrätl were swimming in oil and therefore tasted that way. The poultry meat was still raw inside and we didn't drink the beer (probably brewed in the brewery). The waiter was sorry about it all, but it didn't help us. If I am in Zwickau again, I will not visit this restaurant again.

We had lunch at the brewery on Monday... family. At first we were overwhelmed by the prices. A schnitzel almost 30€. But okay, now we were there. Price-performance ratio is zero. Letschernes schnitzel, charred fries, no addition, except cranberry jam??? Also ordered a cucumber salad. Made from yellow cucumbers😂. Squeaky and mushy. The juice for the children...without words. For this, ice cubes up to the top. I'd also rather buy an apple spritzer from a discount store, it doesn't taste so watery. The only good thing was the waiter. Very friendly and understanding. He should look for a new area of ​​activity. Every mom and grandma and even 15 year old grandchildren can cook better! It was an absolute failure.

We actually just wanted to sit in the beer garden and have a drink on a Friday evening. But apparently they're not necessarily interested in sales there. After 10 minutes we looked for a waiter who brought our order pretty quickly. But that was it. Even later, no one cared whether everything was okay or whether we might want something else. Well folks, it really doesn't work like that!

The beer cart across from the cathedral was horrible... especially the unfriendly oily eye at the checkout didn't work at all... An ordinary room, it does not reflect the promise of sleeping in the old style. Unfortunately, we were there for a match and we were given a room above the beer garden, no one noticed that it was already midnight, it was very noisy and despite our requests, no one responded. I don't recommend sleeping in a room facing the beer garden... As for the place, it's atmospheric, the service is very nice and the food is very good. In this respect, I confidently recommend it. Very good breakfast buffet. Bad coffee.

The restaurant is centrally located in Zwickau and in the immediate vicinity of several attractions. If you go to the beer garden or a la card restaurant, the food is great and the service is fast. However, yesterday we were in a closed party in the banquet hall. The service was ok. In the meantime, the waiters had both completely disappeared for about 30 minutes and the bar was unoccupied. I always praise the restaurant's food highly, but unfortunately the buffet at the party yesterday didn't deserve it. The cutlery was missing, the vegetables were bland, and the ribs were sometimes tough. The only highlight for dessert was the orange cream, which was really phenomenal. All in all, the brewery offers a lot that is highly recommended. But party service is not their strength.

I actually know the brewery differently, but the crime dinner offer should urgently be reconsidered. An incredible number of people were crammed into one room; maximizing profits was probably the watchword here. Half of them sat with their backs to the action, if you sat at the other end of the hall you couldn't understand a word the actors were saying. What made matters worse was that there was a live band playing outside at the same time, the music echoed into the room. Especially when the service opened the doors to get out. Food and service overall okay, but not breathtaking. Crime dinner itself is lengthy, not a good concept. I left because frustration got the best of me.

It's been a long time since we had lunch at the brewery. I had the pork schnitzel with asparagus and hollondaise sauce. The schnitzels were frozen, the asparagus and potatoes were unseasoned and the hollondaise sauce tasted like cream and was in no way a hollondaise. My husband had the ox cheeks, which were really very tender and the dumplings also tasted good, even if they weren't homemade. The sauce, however, was just a thin, tasteless broth in which roughly chopped pieces of radish were floating; the menu actually said turnip ragout as a side dish... All in all, a very disappointing meal for significantly exorbitant prices in an otherwise nice atmosphere.

I made a reservation on Monday via the brewery's website. The reservation is then made via OpenTable. According to Google, the restaurant is also open on Mondays. On site it turned out that it was closed on Monday. There were other guests standing with us in front of the closed door. After we found out that the beer garden was open, we asked the grill what our reservation was like. But they didn't want to know anything about it; after all, if it were online, we would have to differentiate (whatever that meant). Luckily there is a good restaurant next to it. But it's still impossible to offer a reservation online and then not want to know anything about it. Embarrassing for me because it's a business meeting.

Cool location, delicious food, friendly service...highly recommended. We have been here several times and have always been satisfied. Yesterday (May 1st) was of course the highlight. We spent the whole day in the beer garden and were very entertained... with the setting up of the maypole (plus musical accompaniment), tapping of the keg, free beer. With games, around Choosing the May Queen and May King (I will honor you with dignity until next year 🤗) and live music. In the evening we had a lovely meal and we were all actually full 😉. I was happy to go to the brewery again. However, a look at the map before the visit spoiled my anticipation a bit. Of course the brewery is very nice, the service was fine. However, it is really a lot of money that you pay for food. Of course we chose it that way, we certainly knew beforehand that it was actually expensive, but the premium, which is clearly noticeable in the price, could not be tasted or seen. The portion sizes were just ok.. Nevertheless, almost 30 euros for 2 small schnitzels, with 2 potatoes, but a lot of asparagus, half of which could not be eaten because it tasted bitter, is not an argument to visit the brewery again in the near future. A pity.

We were lucky enough to be able to stay here overnight. To our surprise, there was even live music in a great beer garden. Beautifully prepared and lovingly decorated. We tried the home-brewed beers and satisfied our hunger. The menu is very extensive and promising. Regionality and seasonality can be found here. Big hunger, small hunger, an offer for everyone. Unfortunately we weren't able to try everything, but that's just one more reason to take a trip to this great house again. The employees gave us a very friendly welcome and were also very quick with the evening business without causing any stress. Our meals were no less great. Potion size, taste, language on the plate, value for money, everything was right. A visit to this beautiful house is definitely worth the money. I ate the BEST asparagus soup of my life here. To summarize everything quickly: Beautiful house with an eventful history, nice rooms to stay overnight, a great team in service and probably also in the kitchen. If you are in the area, you should stop by here. We would like to thank you for the wonderful time in your house and wish you many, many guests who also appreciate what you do here. It's a shame, today could have been a great evening at the Krumbiegel concert. But the people who were running around among the guests disguised as staff refused to serve them and were very, very incompetent. You can speak of refusal to work or spite if you don't get a beer despite repeated requests. Then someone walks past with two glasses or sometimes with a rack. The beer garden could have made a lot of sales today and the waiters could have tipped. The next time the Free Press complains about how bad things are going in the catering industry, I'll intervene. I will refrain from further visits for the time being. What a pity.

Einmal niveauvoll Mittagessen in unserer Heimatstadt an einem Donnerstag, das war unser Ziel beim Betreten des Brauhauses Zwickau! Im vorab sahen wir uns die vom Brauhaus im Internet veröffentlichte Speisekarte an und meinten, dass diese unserem Budget entspräche. Doch was fanden wir dann auf der am Tisch gereichten Karte vor? Abweichungen wie 0,5 Liter Priester-Hell-Pils 4,80 € statt 4,10 €, Roulade 24,- € statt 17,50 €, Ochsenbacke 21,90 € statt 18,90 €. - - Übrigens, wir konnten das bezahlen aber fragen uns, wieso diese Abweichung? - - Hat das etwas mit vertrauensvoller ehrlicher sächsischer Gastronomie zu tun? Oder liegt es daran, dass noch nicht überall schnelles Internet verfügbar ist? Ich denke, das hat eine gewisse Grenzwertigkeit zum Tatbestand Betrug! - - - Nun, über die Qualität des Essens äußere ich mich nicht, weil das alles Geschmackssache jedes einzelnen Gastes ist. Aber, dass zur Mittagshauptzeit nur 7 Gäste im Lokal waren, spricht für so einiges!

We were in transit. Ate the most expensive pasta dish (small handful of pasta, tomatoes, some rocket and no special parmesan) of my life here. The taste is ok, but charging 19 euros for it is a bit cheeky.

We had lunch today. The service was very friendly. There is a sandpit where our child was wonderfully occupied. We liked the food, but given the quantity, there could have been more side dishes for my ox cheek... I definitely wasn't full for just under 22 euros. Bad style... I had ordered breakfast brunch from 10 a.m. for Easter Saturday, which I did on Tuesday. The confirmation came quickly that everything was okay. Today, on Good Friday, I received a reminder via OpenTable for brunch, which was 10:23 a.m. Half an hour later the brewery informed me that there would be no brunch this week!!! When I asked, I was told they had called me...ridiculous, my cell phone isn't broken and my call list is complete. I won't be visiting this "restaurant" again

We went to a crime dinner at the brewery. An experience that I would have gladly missed. Almost 100 people were crammed into a small hall and fed absolutely miserable food. The 3 course menu for 80€ consisted of a piece of bread with a corner of cheese and cranberry sauce, a chewy duck breast with a spoonful of vegetables and a dollop of mashed potatoes and finally a sheet cake with whipped cream. Every canteen food is better than what was served to us on the menu there. There's no point in giving the food nice names, that's why it doesn't taste any better. The service, 3 men for 100 guests, was extremely overwhelmed. The play seemed ill-conceived and confused. There was no enthusiasm from the audience. In retrospect, it all seemed as if the host was trying to make maximum profit with minimal effort. He seems to have succeeded. However, this is not sustainable. In any case, I'll never go there again 🙅‍♂️

Wir waren zu einem Krimidinner im Brauhaus. Ein Erlebnis auf das ich gerne verzichtet hätte. Knapp 100 Menschen wurden in einen kleinen Saal gepfercht und mit absolut miserablen Essen abgespeist. Das 3 Gänge Menü für 80€ bestand aus einem Stückchen Brot mit einer Ecke Käse und Preiselbeersauce, einer zähen Entenbrust mit einem Löffelchen Gemüse und einem Klecks Kartoffelbrei und zum Schluss Blechkuchen mit Schlagsahne. Da ist jedes Kantinenessen besser als das, was uns dort als Menü vorgesetzt wurde. Da bringt es auch nichts dem Essen schöne Namen zu geben, deswegen schmeckt es nicht besser. Der Service, 3 Mann für 100 Gäste, war maßlos überfordert. Das Theaterstück wirkte undurchdacht und verworren. Eine Begeisterung des Publikums blieb aus. Im Nachhinein wirkte alles so als ob der Gastgeber versucht hat maximal Profit mit minimalen Einsatz zu erzielen. Das scheint ihm gelungen zu sein. Nachhaltig ist das jedoch nicht. Ich gehe dort jedenfalls nie wieder hin 🙅‍♂️

Value for money is shockingly bad. I used to love being here, but it was the last time for me. The portions have been reduced by half and the prices have risen quite a bit. If you already have portions like in a star restaurant, then serve something special. Rustic cuisine was ok as long as you found the food on the plate. The bread with the cheese was a bit stale but ok. This increase cannot be justified by inflation. At that price I expect a corresponding portion, then that would be ok for me. The service person was nice and funny... But here too there were four people standing at the entrance area and there was very little going on. A waiter walked past our table every few minutes, but no one would have come to us without shouting. I've been living in a big city in Bavaria for some time now... How can it be that the price/performance level there is so much better despite much higher maintenance costs. At least I know why there was so little going on on a Saturday. Then good luck.

Super nice restaurant in the center of Zwickau (parking in the immediate vicinity). The entire restaurant is an eye-catcher :-) when it comes to interior design. The creators have put a lot of effort into combining tradition and present in their rooms. Incredibly friendly staff, you feel embraced and at home from the moment you enter. The menu offers a variety of dishes. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. Thank you for the pleasant evening. In the foreseeable future you will definitely have to visit the beer garden.

If you book the fondue meal in the iglo at the brewery, which you deliberately gave away in order to bring joy, you will only get real disappointment. When I booked, I was assured that it would continue to look beautifully decorated outside, with lighting, etc. Which made it easier to cope with the fact that you had to pay the full price for children, as it would not be possible for the kids to get anything from the children's menu. When the day came, the whole family was looking forward to a lovely evening. On site, the igloos were not covered, the yard was dirty, there was no sign of lighting. We were welcomed with , we set up inside because an iglo didn't work and 2 companies had booked. So you agreed to be seated in a small room without a wintry atmosphere, where you had to ask for some music. When this cheese fondue came, you couldn't believe your eyes. 2 loveless bowls, on a burner and a basket with bread cubes. (No decoration, no loving accompaniments, e.g. a few grapes, a few pepper strips, etc., just a little loving, was probably too much for the kitchen) How you can decide to pay 22 euros for this cheese, which even tastes inedible, with some bread, is no longer an impertinence. We had the food returned, with a decent honest explanation. The waiter said he would clarify what happened next with the boss. The boss didn't even think it was necessary to appear in person because he doesn't seem to care about his customers. It makes you happy that an entrepreneur is finally doing something nice in Zwickau, such a desolate city, only to have to experience such disappointment. 7 people who were looking forward to a nice evening to sit together again in beautiful surroundings and who had taken extra time cannot recommend this brewery. However, it was clear from the manageable flow of visitors to this restaurant on a Friday evening that many people saw it that way. Your answer shows exactly the level. If you guarantee when booking that it will still look that way, you should stick to it! Asking again is not common in good restaurants. As far as the fondue is concerned, a bowl in which seven people dip the pieces of bread, for a price of 22 euros per person... there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to side dishes... One would think they have the intelligence to look at pictures on Google of what an original Swiss fondue might look like. There's certainly a lot of room for improvement in terms of taste... But it could also be due to a lack of desire in the company. Usually shortly before bankruptcy.

Der Rundgang im Brauhaus ist sehr zu empfehlen! Braumeister Frank hat es sehr interessant gestaltet (inkl. Destille) und ging auf alle Fragen ein. Dauert normalerweise ca. 1h, durch unsere Fragen waren wir bei fast 1,5h). Für 40€ gab es den Rundgang, ein Essen (Schnitzel oder Haxe, es war aber auch kein Problem einen Salat anstattdessen zu nehmen), 3 Bier (das Pils ist extrem lecker!) und einen selbstgebrannten Schnaps. Würden wir definitiv wieder buchen 👍

Ganz freundliches Personal und sehr leckeres Essen. Da wir leider nicht so viel Zeit hatten, hatten wir erst Bedenken, dass das Essen nicht schnell genug fertig ist. Es wurde jedoch zügig zubereitet und war wieder sehr lecker. Es blieb sogar noch genug Zeit für einen Nachtisch. Beide Besuche waren super.

Ich kann die ganzen positiven Bewertungen absolut nicht nachvollziehen. Die Einrichtung etc ist wirklich super gemütlich- aber was ist das bitte für Esen ? In dieser Preisklasse erwarte ich definitiv anderes. Die Rouladen war zäh, die Klöße aus der Tüte und den Klecks Soße musste man suchen.. Die Schnitzel waren geschmacklich okay- Preis Leistung stimmt aber auch hier nicht .. 32 Euro für Schnitzel mit Pommes ? Majo / Ketchup aus der Tüte nur auf Nachfrage.. Ich weiß, das alles teurer geworden ist. Aber hier passt das nicht!

Wir waren hier im Brauhaus essen mit mehreren Leuten. Wir saßen in einem Separee. Der Service war bestens, der junge Mann, der für uns zuständig war, kam regelmäßig vorbei, um sicher zu gehen, dass wir gut versorgt sind. Das Essen war gut, die Wartezeit hat gepasst, dir Preise haben aber mächtig angezogen. Alles in allem aber ein sehr schöner Abend. Kann ich empfehlen.

cooles Ambiente und der Hirschrücken war exzellent mit Lob für den Koch, trotz Trubel in der Weihnachtszeit keine lange Wartezeit und freundliches Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen, gerne wieder.

Einfach super. Hier im Biergarten beim Glühwein kommt ein ganz tolles Feeling auf. Wir waren gestern Abend im Zuge unserer nachgeholten Weihnachtsfeier dort. Alle waren begeistert, ja die Preise sind gestiegen, die Qualität war aber einsame Klasse, jedes Essen , jedes Getränk ein Knaller. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, man hat sich gleich wohlgefühlt. Die Lösung mit dem Rabatt Coupon finde ich sehr sehr gut. Die Tchibo Mädels kommen bald wieder. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Wir waren voriges Jahr zum Feiertag essen es war sehr schön

Wir waren zu zweit zum Abendessen. Das Steak war fantastisch so wie die Getränke und Desserts. Service und Bedienung war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir gehen gerne wieder hin.

Für so eine eigentlich schöne Location, die Einrichtung, hier wurde sich schon echt Mühe gegeben. Aber für ein Wiener Schnitzel mit Pommes was sehr lieblos angerichtet wurde, 25€ zu bezahlen ist schon echt fett. Das hätte man echt besser machen können. Ich finde allgemein ein sehr schlechtes Preis/- Leistungsverhältnis.

Okay, mehr aber auch nicht. Speisen für die Qualität zu teuer. Durchschnittlicher Service. Gemütliches Ambiente. Fazit BIER JA ESSEN NEIN War dreimal im Abstand von fünf Jahren dort und am Essen sollte immer noch gearbeitet werden. Vlt mal den Chef(koch) austauschen?! Besorgt Euch bitte mehr Schilder für "Reserviert", denn es macht keinen guten Eindruck wenn potentielle Gäste von leeren Tischen "verjagt" werden. Viele Grüße

Essen ist fantastisch. Aber der Service lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Mitarbeiter wirken etwas überfordert.

Location wirklich sehr schön. Leider waren die Portionen sehr übersichtlich und eher lieblos angerichtet . Qualität des Essens mittelmäßig. Der Fisch war optisch und geschmacklich Max. 2 Sterne. Bier war sehr lecker . Service könnte auch etwas besser sein.

Preis/Leistung ganz schön fettig. Sehr gute Gerichte, aber geschmacklich fehlt das I Tüpfelchen. Besser als vor ca 5 Jahren, aber nicht wie anfangs, leider.
