Good food only the decoration needs replacing. Food is not expensive

The food was great. The service was terrible terrible making our experience very unpleasant. We were super kind and wanted to order in English and even do kind German translation, the waitress woman shouted at us everytime we tried to order sth as a group. We were just a friendly group of 9 and had dinner and drinks. When I adked if I can get ketchup for french fries she yelled at me no german no. The payment was terrible I was the first one paying and she immediately said “tipment is not included in the payment” few times and apparently could talk us in english but preferred to yell. Though the food and atmosphere is good, we had the worst experience with the service AND the owner/manager did nothing to stop this attitude towards. She witnessed the whole situation in payment when I asked a little help with gestures, she could have come and did somethşng to stop this shouting and terrible experience

The restaurant, which appears quite inconspicuous from the outside, initially gave us doubts due to its external appearance. We still dared and were rewarded! Really pleasant and nice guests, a super nice and warm innkeeper and an absolutely delicious meal were the result of our visit! Great portions, very tasty food and a very good price/performance ratio absolutely convinced us! Our children also felt very comfortable - not least because of the table football and the innkeeper who loves children! We will definitely be a guest again on our next visit to Berlin! Keep it up!!!👍

A nice little inn, the furnishings are very old, but that gives the whole thing a certain charm. The service and service were very good as was the food. Price performance totally okay.

At first glance, inconspicuous. But it's actually a neighborhood bar with a real cult factor, the likes of which there aren't that many anymore, where people from the neighborhood meet up and occasionally tourists also come. There are skat tournaments, electronic darts, table football, cocktails for EUR 6.50, and of course hearty German cuisine (schnitzel, Würzfleisch, Strammer Max, etc.). The atmosphere is rather traditional. And yet we move with the times, card payments are possible. You can definitely do it again.

I visited this restaurant in winter. Very comfortable atmosphere to eat and have a beer. Our dishes were plentiful and tasty. Very attractive prices. I definitely recommend it.

Almost like a little journey back in time to the Eastern times. Was pleasantly surprised, not fancy, but authentic. For what it is, it's great! Had the solyanka and the “Hungarian” schnitzel. Gladly again.

Wanted to try an authentic schnitzel and many people recommended this place. Spent more than an hour trying to get there and as soon as we entered we were very rudely told it's full. There was not even a good evening or a conversation about what we wanted to have (drinks or food). Just a hard 'NO'. I could see there was a bit of space so clearly they didn't want us there. They could have tried to be a bit more welcoming or even if they had said it's really busy but feel free to have a drink at the bar or at least tell us to wait for a bit for a table may have been a better approach. Terribly disappointed with the behaviour and will never ever go there or recommend this place to anyone who is a tourist. Absolutely disgusting behaviour by the lady staff member.

I did not eat here. Unfortunately I do not speak German, and the bartender does not speak English. So if you only speak English, this is not for you!

Prices almost half more than two years ago and about 30% less on the plate - e.g. 1 and not 2 fried eggs (see photos). There is no WiFi for me; was rejected with "NOOO" even though there is one. Apparently card payment is not allowed. Never come back.

A traditional German restaurant that brings back memories of times gone by. Here you will find hearty, classic dishes, accompanied by friendly and attentive service, which rounds off the evening. The chef shows real skill and the prices are hard to beat: a hefeweizen for 3.50 euros and a pork knuckle for 15 euros - that's a real experience! The rustic ambience exudes cosiness and charm and maintains the feeling of German tradition. A place that enriched our weekend. We would love to come back and can highly recommend it!

Very tasty and good food. About 15 minutes of waiting and everything was fresh. The service was very friendly and nice. There was a table football table in the next room that the children could use for free. The price was very reasonable and we would be happy to come back the next time we visit Berlin.

Salt of the earth , true to its taste, all the dishes are amazing here. Particularly the peach with steak which I didn’t know was a killer combination . And the Salmon with Asparagus.With great Sparkling Wine options of-course. Kindly choose anything with pork. Even though I couldn’t speak much Deustch, everyone was trying to help and figure out me and my friends order.

The manager is extremely kind and helpful even though he only speaks German. Don't be fooled by the external appearance and step back in time to before the fall of the wall... It definitely needs to be renovated but the cuisine is varied and genuine at exceptional prices. Highly recommended!

Ok, to be honest, if I would just walk by I would never have chosen to eat here. On the outside it looks a bit shabby. We chose it based on the reviews on Google Maps and because we arrived late and were hungry we didn't pass by. But the food was very good en the staff was very friendly. We had the schnitzel cordon blue style, 'Hungarian schnitzel', chicken breast and camembert. It was all delicious. We hearded the chef beating up the schnitzel before preparing it, so it was fresh made. Nice fries and veggies with a curry-mayonaise sauce. A big beer with the food and we paid only 70 euro's for the four off us.

Quaint. And the turning point has not yet arrived here. The sanitary facilities are from the 80s. But totally okay.

This was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. I ordered Fish & Chips and got fish sticks that were perfectly rectangular looked like they were from Rewe. My wife received vegetable soup that was obviously out of a can with a hot dog in it. The meal also gave her a stomachache afterwards. I would not recommend this place to anyone else unless I didn’t like them.

Dirty tables, rude workers, laughing from us, schnitzel is drenched in oil, sauce on salads is not tasty, the wait wasn’t proportional to clients quantity. House beer pils had a bad taste. Wazenhauzer beer was solid. Won’t come here again!

Found it by accident. The food was surprisingly good and for a relatively good price. The menu was a little bit hard to understand. The staff was polite, but did not speak english. Looks a bit sketchy on the outside, but it's actually ok.

We paid a spontaneous visit to this rustic restaurant because we wanted to eat home-style food. From start to finish we were very happy with everything. The beer was cold, the food was delicious and the portions were more than filling. Plus, the prices are unbeatable. We would love to come back the next time we visit Berlin.

Picture this: We are a lesbian couple lost in Berlin. We are poor, and also extremely cold because of the heavy wind on this chilly February evening. We are desperately looking for a place to eat, particularly craving some schnitzel. Suddenly, we come across this place which, at first sight, doesn’t seem like the best of what Berlin has to offer. We were, admittedly, initially intimidated. However, the highly competitive prices and excessive amount of old people inside managed to convince us, so we entered. Verdict: ALWAYS DO WHAT YOU ARE SCARED OF !!! Entering almost feels like you are intruding into a wholesome german family enjoying their home cooked dinner. The waiter/barman/possible cook is polite, and had the kindest crystal blue eyes i have ever seen. It felt like I could tell him my deepest secret and he would keep it safe. In reality I only told him my order (Hungarian schnitzel with fries), but the depth of our connection was still there. The vibe of the place is hypnotically german, which was what we were looking for. The outstanding amount of people over 75 all around us really made the atmosphere feel electric. The food was delicious, the portion was great, the price was amazing. We learnt to ALWAYS trust the preferences of elderly german people. Would definitely recommend 100%. ❤️❤️ BRAVA !!

As a foreigner who can’t speak German, I always feel so nervous to order food. But this place has good vibe, a lady offered me English menu. The food is delicious, taste like home made. With the cozy sunshine, I believe you will have a good time here!

Quaint pub with local, very good food. That best describes the pub with the original Berlin innkeeper. Very nice and good service round the whole thing off perfectly. If you want to travel locally, you have to go there. If you're looking for more pubs, you're in the wrong place here. On top of that, food and drinks are available at very reasonable, reasonable prices. We only tried the home-style dishes, but the neighbors also liked the schnitzel and steaks. We have attached the map. The herring fillet with fried potatoes was very tasty for me. We will be back.

I loved this place, it wasn’t full of atmosphere, it’s the 23rd of December. But the gentleman serving and working the bar, and possibly cooking was great. The food was brilliant traditional German food at a price for local people. Not tourists. I recommend people take a little bit of humble pie and enjoy the real Berlin that isn’t targeted at tourists!

Unsere Gruppe von 12 Personen wurde am 13.12 2023 erst gar nicht empfangen. Wir sind monatlich unterwegs in Berlin. In der Regel melden wir uns etwa 1 Stunde vor erwartetem Eintreffen an, um zu Mittag zu essen. Heute telefonierte ich um 12.30 Uhr mit dem Berliner Wappen, um es gegen 13 Uhr oder etwas später aufzusuchen. Dies wurde jedoch abgelehnt, da die Bedienung alleine die Gaststätte mit dieser Gästezahl nicht führen könne. So konnten wir dort nicht einkehren aber wurden dann in einem kleinen italienischen Restaurant am Mariannenplatz empfangen und haben dort gut gegessen.

Schöne, etwas in die Jahre gekommenen, DDR Wohnviertel Gaststätte mit humanen Preisen, gutem Essen, schneller und netter Service. Das einzige Manko wären die Stühle, die schon bissl gelitten und nicht für langes Sitzen mehr geeignet sind. Dies schmälert aber nicht das leckere und ausreichende Essen und den guten Service. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist ausreichend, übersichtlich und es ist von allem etwas dabei. Ein TV und Spielautomaten sind vorhanden, die Sanitäranlagen habe ich leider nicht genutzt, sodass ich nichts darüber schreiben kann. Auf alle Fälle ist diese Gaststätte empfehlenswert .

Autentisk og super hyggeligt. Tilbragte 4,5 time med god mad (Eisbein) og Bier vom Fass. Ejer Achim var alene på arbejde og klarede det hele med bravour. Får 4 stjerner for service, fordi han var alene - men selve betjeningen og atmosfæren var i top og til 5 stjerner. Mødte kun hyggelige og venlige berlinere, heriblandt Tommy og Tina (stamgæster). Vender meget gerne tilbage.

Amazingly crispy French fries! Pork steak goes absolutely right with peach and cheese with tender carrots. Better finish before it gets cold! Lecker. Also good service!

Gran sitio típico Alemán, nada turístico, sitio de Berlineses muy familiar, 100% recomendable, buen ambiente y buena comida y cerveza.

Leider musste ich ca. 30 Minuten warten bis ich bestellen konnte. Dar eine größere Gruppe vor mir da war gehe ich davon aus dass das nur ein Einzelfall ist. Hier darf man nicht erwarten das es Sterneküche ist aber das soll es auch nicht sein. Leckere Hausmannskost für kleinem Preisen. Gerne wieder

Went as a group of 4 non-German speaking tourists, and had a delightful time. Our waiter was lovely and cheerful, patient with our terrible and minimal German, (they also had an English menu which he instantly offered) and the food was reasonably priced and very homestyle German meals. Looks like a small tavern inside. Would definitely recommend to hungry tourists seeking a warm and cheerful meal!

Extra mit meinem Opa von der Jannowitzbrücke aus gelaufen. Und dann? Entgegen der Homepage und entgegen Google-Information erst ab 16 Uhr geöffnet. Schwach!!!
