Gaststätte Amboß in Wiehl

We had been to Amboss two months ago with a group (my mom turned 90). Naturally, the service was friendly (€). The food we ordered was also very good. We were even allowed to bring our small mixed breed (a Maltese/Yorkshire terrier) who doesn't shed. On September 7, I ordered for two people with Fiffi. When we entered the restaurant, the woman was very unfriendly. When I said I had a reservation, I was told, "We could have the two tables in the pub (where the regulars sit, so they're not set up) or in the garden (what about in winter? Freezing your ass off?). I know from a reliable source that one family regularly brought their dogs in and out of the dining room. They just have a different status (€). Best regards, Dieter Kaiser

Wieder mal sehr gut. Karte ist übersichtlich und für jeden Geschmack, auch vegetarisch, was dabei. Gehen sofort auf Wünsche ein.

A really great, owner-run restaurant that impresses with its warmth and quality! The schnitzels are absolutely outstanding – juicy, perfectly seasoned and simply delicious. You can feel that attention is paid to detail here. I always enjoy coming back and can highly recommend this restaurant.

A very cozy place. The staff is very friendly and you don't have to wait long. The burger was very tasty and homemade. The beef steak was cooked to perfection and was very juicy and tasty. The salad with lettuce, peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes with a very tasty dressing. The fries were homemade Belgian style and are very crispy. The onion soup was also homemade and is really good. Highly recommended, many thanks to the Amboss team for the lovely evening. We recommend.

Very good fresh food and great service

An inconspicuous restaurant with very good cuisine. We were almost on Sunday and there was a small menu that put all of us (4 people) at peace. The requests for a supplement change were also met without any problems. We'll be back.

Very tasty food and staff on the ball.

We were there for lunch on a Wednesday and were the only guests, so we had the staff's attention to ourselves. Regarding the dishes, which consisted of: Easter lamb, pork fillet, veal schnitzel and steak, you can only say that everything was top quality, well prepared and very, very tasty right down to the last bite. We will definitely come back

We come to this restaurant every now and then and have never been disappointed. The service is very nice and the food is always delicious. Were here again at Easter. The quality is excellent. We don't like convenience products, everything is freshly prepared here. The meat is “pounded” and the French fries are homemade. And here even the salad is included at no extra charge. You don't find something like that very often anymore. Therefore our absolute recommendation! We will continue to visit this restaurant regularly.

Can you go there? However, I know places that offer better menus. By the way, the entrance can only be reached via stairs.

The food is very fresh and seems to be prepared with a lot of love. There are also delicious options for vegetarians. The waitresses were extremely friendly and on point. The restaurant impresses with its lovely ambience.

Super tasty and above all fresh food! We have only had good experiences at Anvil with both family and friends. Very cozy atmosphere outside in the beautiful beer garden and super fast staff! Absolutely recommended 😊

We had a very good meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

The food in the evening was always really good! When we wanted to eat there for the first time around 1:00 p.m., people looked at us in the otherwise almost empty restaurant as if we were disturbing. We were then left to sit at the table unnoticed for 15 minutes. We then left without being noticed and ate somewhere else with very attentive service. Too bad!

The card looks very classic. You'll search in vain for "modern cuisine". However, it tastes good and the price/performance is also completely okay.

Sehr leckeres Essen Nette Bedienung Sehr zu empfehlen

Eines der besten Steaks hier in der Region, die pommes frites waren perfekt, da scheitern ja schon viele daran ;) ich kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen! Freundlich, gemütlich, lecker. Gute Preise.

Sehr schönes Lokal, gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet! Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Große Portionen. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt hier auf jeden Fall! Das Servicepersonal ist wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Dieses Lokal kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen! Wir kommen wieder!:)

Leckeres Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Sehr nette Bedienung und ein schönes uriges Ambiente.

Sehr leckeres und frisch zubereitete Essen. Schön angerichtet Teller mit passenden Portionsgrößen. Schönes Ambiente und eine wirklich nette Bedienung. Einziges "Manko" wenn man draußen sitzt, ist die Straße sehr laut, aber kann man mit leben. Alles in allem absolut zu empfehlen! Kleiner Tipp : vorher reservieren, nicht unbedingt wegen der Tische sondern damit ausreichend Personal da ist und man nicht ewig warten muss.. Hat sehr gut geklappt
