We celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary there today in a small, enjoyable setting. Just like last time, we were thrilled again. The food selection was fine, excellent, the taste was top-notch (3* extra for the sauces), the friendliness was top-notch, and we had a great table outside on the terrace with a beautiful sunset. - Beef Carpaccio - Burrata with tomato sauce - Veal liver Berlin style with mashed potatoes - Sauerbraten, dumplings, red cabbage - Tagliatelle Pappardelle Bolognese - Classic Wiener Schnitzel Delicious Crémant as an aperitif, Lugano white wine with the meal, and chocolate cake with a liquid center and vanilla ice cream, as well as three types of sorbet for a delicious finale.

A great restaurant. It's always our first stop when it comes to food. I can't comment on the rooms; we haven't stayed there yet. Super delicious food Great service Beautiful outdoor area Prices are reasonable, too.

A wonderful restaurant. Beautiful ambiance, a modern blend with half-timbering. Cozy but not overly opulent. The menu offers a very good selection of dishes, catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians. Very balanced, two thumbs up. The food is subtly seasoned and wholesome. The service is extremely friendly and prompt. Everything is highly recommended and offers good value for money. We would be happy to return.

We have eaten there several times over the last four years. Overall, the food was always quite good and ambitious, although not as good as the price and very good service suggested! The day before yesterday I ordered a fillet steak, unfortunately, as can happen. So I complained, the man from service tried to convince me that given the light outside it must be a fallacy, but it's a long way from medium-rare to almost completely done. Well, a new one was brought after a reasonable amount of time. The meat was just right, but the very tasty fried potatoes that had been brought earlier seemed to have been fried again and were now excessively dry and hard! The peas had also probably simply been reheated in the microwave and were therefore no longer at the level that they represent locally.

A beautiful restaurant in a great location and with first-class service (the daughter of the house), who deserves the highest points for their attention, relaxed friendliness and responsiveness to requests for changes. Unfortunately the kitchen couldn't keep up. Butter and cream in advance (with the good bread) were rather average and we found a sausage salad as a greeting from the kitchen to be rather strange. After a good and creative salad with goat cheese, the Wiener Schnitzel was quite disappointing, both in terms of the soufflé and the seasoning. The other dishes (fish and lamb) seemed okay.

It was our first visit last night. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed an excellent meal. From the salmon & veal schnitzel to the children's plate, we were spoiled by the kitchen. The attentive waiter (presumably the owner) left no wish unfulfilled. Thank you for a great gastronomic experience. I don't have any photos because I reject this bad habit. Greetings Michael

Very tasty and down-to-earth food. Whether fish, steak, or veal Wiener Schnitzel, the dishes were all delicious. We had carpaccio and shrimp for starters. Both dishes were very tasty. The side dishes for the main courses were also very good. However, the prices are very high. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated and offers a lovely outdoor area when the weather is nice.

Very good food in a very nice ambience with a feel-good atmosphere. All dishes are recommended. For us one of the most beautiful restaurants with a great location in Oberbergisch. Here you feel a special warmth from the reception to the farewell.

We were there last Monday and luckily we were able to sit outside, great atmosphere in the well-kept garden. As always, the food was excellent, the service was super friendly and competent, and you can't sample a sip before choosing your wine either. The prices are more than reasonable given the quality offered. As always, we were very satisfied and would love to come back.

Simply great... I just had the opportunity to visit this restaurant. The four of us with our dog enjoyed the evening there. A great ambience, very friendly hosts, and great food made this evening on the terrace a successful event in mild temperatures. As guests, we immediately felt welcome there. A beautiful restaurant that not only impresses with its very good food, but the location and hospitality are - in my opinion - unbeatable. Thank you for this outstanding experience... The day before yesterday, April 3, 2024, I was there again. Everything was TOP, like last time!!! A year ago: Both of us and the dog were treated and pampered in the best possible way. Great location with first-class food that was worth every penny. The hosts are extremely friendly and competent. I'm sure we'll stop by again and I promise that I'll be able to fend off any "attack" from a shellfish more skillfully! :)

Mega restaurant with high prices, but they are absolutely justified. We were there for dinner and found the ambience as well as the food and service exceptionally good. Update December 30, 2023 I'm happy to stick with the best that Oberberg has to offer, again and again. Also very dog ​​friendly, I had forgotten that. We had been looking forward to this visit for a long time. Unfortunately, it was not the culinary experience we had hoped and expected. We once ordered rack of lamb. It was perfect. If we had ordered it twice, this review would have been different. The second dish was roast goose with red cabbage and dumplings. Unfortunately, horrible. Partly burnt, dried out, completely tasteless red cabbage. A limp, too dry piece of frozen goose category C with shriveled skin that could only be removed from the meat with force. Meaningless sauce and loveless presentation. This year I have already been able to enjoy goose 5 times in different locations. Very good to excellent throughout. My mistake was that I didn't complain about the dish immediately and have it returned. I didn't want to let my partner eat alone, so I struggled through. I found the reaction to my comment when I was asked how it tasted extremely unprofessional. The red cabbage was still on the plate, as were parts of the goose. In response to my criticism, I received a defiant response from the CEO with a sour expression: That's your opinion. If he had politely apologized and made the effort to check whether it was correct, perhaps offering a bargain for the hassle, then I would have swallowed it if necessary. But this reaction annoyed me so much that I won't go there again. This is despite the fact that it is a really nice place and I am almost convinced that this fiasco was probably a blip on the map. However, I don't like it at all when people don't value me as a guest and dismiss my opinion as if I were a fool.

Das Essen war TOP👍🏻 ***** Der Service der Mitarbeiter war TOP👍🏻 ***** Aber das Inhaberpaar geht so gar nicht! Ich habe sehr viel Werbung für das Restaurant gemacht! Alle waren vom Essen sehr begeistert! In diesem Jahr haben wir sehr viel Geld in diesen Restaurant gelassen! Jetzt wollte ich am 25.11. mit 18-20 Personen meinen Geburtstag dort feiern. OK! Ich war früh, aber offensichtlich nicht früh genug für eine Reservierung! Ich sagte: Der Termin ist mir egal! Nennen Sie mir eine Alternative! Egal wann?! - Weil ich habe große Werbung für Sie gemacht! Ich möchte mit meinen Freunden meinen Geburtstag bei Ihnen feiern! Egal wann! Egal was es kostet! Die Antwort war: Ich habe keine "Lust" auf Sie! Wie abgehoben muß man bitte sein, dass man sich eine so freche Antwort leisten kann?! Ok! Die Wahrheit ist, ich habe keine Lust, mein sauer verdientes Geld, solchen arroganten und abgehobenen Menschen vor die Füße zu werfen! Bemerkt sei, dass neben dem Inhaber jemand laut gelacht hat, als wir telefonierten. Ich habe dann ein zweites Mal angerufen und gefragt, wer neben ihm so laut und unverschämt über mich gelacht hat?! Ich kenne viele sehr gute Sterne Restaurants und wertschätze immer Leistung und Personal! Wie zum Beispiel: Restaurant La Société Köln Gruber's Restaurant Restaurant Vendôme Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg MÜLLERS auf der RÜ by Nelson Müller oder das Port Verd del Mar auf Mallorca, gegründet von Sternekoch Nelsen Müller ... aber so eine unverschämte und arrogante, nicht wertschätzende Behandlung eines Gastes, ist mir noch nie begegnet!!! Tolles Ambiente! Tolles Personal! Super tolles und sehr schmackhaftes Essen (obwohl Vegetarier sehr geringschätzig behandelt werden, aber ok, es war lecker, wenn man einfallslose vegetarische Küche für viel Geld mag!) Alles in allem, ist der Erfolg den Inhabern wohl zu Kopf gestiegen! Oder wie wertet man es, wenn man gesagt bekommt, sie können morgen nochmal anrufen, aber "ich" (männlich) habe keine "Lust" auf Sie! .... und der Konterpart "weiblich" sich darüber laut kaputt lacht?! Ich habe für mich und meine Freunde eine super Alternative in einem anderen Sternerestaurant in Köln gefunden. Mein sauer verdientes Geld gebe ich sehr gerne! - aber nicht an arrogante Menschen, die nicht einmal wissen, wie man die Wörter: " Anstand, Respekt und Wertschätzung" schreibt! Da ist es mir völlig egal, wie gut das Essen, oder wie schön das Ambiente ist! Wertschätzung und Respekt sollte immer die erste Priorität in unseren Leben haben! Ich bedaure und entschuldige mich bereits heute, bei den Personen, für die wir am Freitag Gutscheine als Annerkennung und Zeichen unseres Respektes gekauft haben! Ich hoffe diese Personen werden, im Gegensatz zu uns, mit Wertschätzung und Respekt behandelt! Bei meinem Hausarzt werde ich mich bereits heute vorsorglich entschuldigen! Oder besser noch, ich werde auf das Geld verzichten und ihm einen Gutschein eines aderen Restaurantes schenken, wo ich sicher sein kann, dass er und seine Frau dort Respekt, Wertschätzung und Achtung erfahren! In diesem Sinne, bleibe ich sehr gelassen! - Denn "KARMA" regelt das! .... und vielleicht erinnern Sie sich dann an die verletzenden und respektlosen Worte, die Sie anderen zugefügt haben! Wir haben einen 80ten Geburtstag gefeiert, es war ein Traum! Perfekter geht es nicht! Essen sensationell! Gastgeber unfassbar freundlich und zuvorkommend! Haus und Garten unbeschreiblich schön! Schönes Restaurant mit schönem Ambiente und nettem Service. Das Essen ist schön angerichtet und es wird einem alles erklärt, leider hat es mit der Garstufe des Steaks nicht ganz gepasst und die Kräuterbutter war eher noch Eisig, das kann man als kleine Kritik sehen. Im großen und ganzen war es trotzdem ein gelungener Nachmittag / Abend.

Ohne eine Einladung hätten wir nicht nach hier finden können; zumal das Navi auch noch einen schrägen Weg vorgibt. Das Ambietne des Pfaffenberg ist sowohl innen als auch außen überwältigend. Der freundliche Empfang ließ sofort das Gefühl aufkommen, dass der Gast hier herzlich willkommen ist. Die in der Runde gekosteten Gerichte waren ausgezeichnet präsentiert und schmeckten vorzüglich. Die dazu vorgeschlagenen Weine waren passend und rundeten das Geschmackserlebnis ab. Der herzliche Abschied nach dem angenehmen Abend verlockt, wieder nach hier zu kommen. Und sei die Anfahrt noch so weit: Wir kommen wieder.

nach dem besuch der tropfsteinhöhle, essen hier bestellen ist sehr gut das essen wird vielfältig gemacht, frisch und lecker gerne wieder steak und schnitzel usw. küche sehr gut service sehr lahm und träger

Für dieses perfekte Restaurant zahle ich gerne ein wenig mehr als üblich. Dafür exellente, frische, saisonale und moderne Küche in sehr gepflegtem Ambiente mit aufmerksamen Service. Hierher kommt man nicht um schnell was zu essen; hierher kommt man mit Freunden oder zu Familienanlässen zum romantischen Dinner oder einfach zum genießen und um sich zu verwöhnen.

Liebes Pfaffenbergteam, auch wenn es jetzt schon fast 2 Monate her ist, möchte ich hier noch einmal ausdrücklich Danke sagen für das Ausrichten einer perfekten Hochzeit für meine Tochter und ihrem Ehemann am 12.3.2020. Das Personal war freundlich, aufmerksam, zuvorkommend, hatte alles im Blick und die Gastgeber waren, auch bei Problemen, immer flexibel und sind auf die Wünsche des Brautpaares 100%ig eingegangen. Das Essen war unglaublich gut und das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmte. Schade, dass ich nicht noch viele Kinder habe, die in diesem Restaurant ihre Hochzeit feiern können. Es war perfekt. Erneut waren wir mit unserer Weinrunde zum Menü essen im Pfaffenberg. Leider war das Amuse-Gueule schon daneben , kalte Garnele auf geschnitzter Ananas mit Cocktail Sauce. Der Fisch im folgenden Gang nicht frisch und die Füllung der Kalbsroulade nicht gar. Das Lamm konnte überzeugen. Der Service war wieder gut. In der Preisklasse gibt es deutlich bessere Restaurants. Preis-Leistung sehr schlecht.

ein gediegenes modernes Ambiente in einem jahrhundertealtem Gebäude. Ein überschaubare Karte mit absoluten Topgerichten. Auch die Weinkarte lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. nicht zu billig, aber jeden Cent wert.

Wir sind einer Einladung von Freunden gefolgt und sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Bis auf die etwas angehobene Lautstärke wurden wir servicemässig bestens umsorgt. die Speisekarte ist sehr gut strukturiert, das Preisleistungsverhältnis ausgezeichnet, alle Speisen wurden für jeden gleichzeitig serviert. Das Essen und der anschließend servierte Nachtisch kann man uneingeschränkt als schmackhaft und von guter Qualität hervorheben, insgesamt waren wir begeistert und werden es Freunden weiterempfehlen.

Mit Freunden besuchten wir das Restaurant Pfaffenberg und wurden freundlich begrüßt. Vorab einen kleinen Gruß aus der Küche. Als Vorspeise genossen wir ein leckeres Kürbissüppchen, Hauptspeise Zanderfilet auf den Punkt gegart, Nachtisch Mousse au chocolat zusammen mit einer guten Flasche Pino Grigio. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.
