We went there in the evening for lasagna and a plate of spaghetti. The appetizer salad alone was so boring and uninspiring that I should have skipped the main course. Nevertheless, we got a lasagna without lasagna, just a bollo with cheese. Will definitely not be back - €45, bye

Very pleasantly surprised! Really delicious pizza (Diavola) at a reasonable price. Beer a bit overpriced (as is the case in many places, and is it socially acceptable these days?). We sat outside in the first week of September in glorious weather and thoroughly enjoyed it!

It was mediocre at best. The service was decent considering how busy they were. However the food was lacking in flavor. I would recommend anyone to walk 1 minute down the street to Giuseppe‘s! They are far superior!!

Very good pizza, delicious starters, and an excellent homemade tiramisu. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed – the waiter seemed stressed, and the food and drinks took a long time to arrive. The restaurant was also very busy and therefore quite noisy. Overall, though, the food was good and worth a visit if you have a bit of patience.

I was there for lunch on Wednesday. The pizza and pasta were really delicious. You can sit outside. What was funny was that I ordered ice cream, and it came diagonally across from the ice cream parlor. Cool business idea.

Very unfriendly waiter! Generally, there are only 1-2 waiters who are genuinely friendly. The rest are not at all nice or polite.

We arrived and waited 15 minutes for drinks and 25 minutes for our food. The service wasn't particularly good, but the food was VERY GOOD!

When I was there, an elderly Italian lady made the pizza. It reminded me of my grandma, the way she always bakes. Great!

Delicious ice cream, good value for money

We were passing through and spontaneously stopped here for lunch. Absolutely top-notch value for money. Cheap pizzas for high quality. The service was always prompt and didn't forget us in the little booth. They packed up the leftovers at no extra charge. Top 👍🏻

We had a very pleasant outdoor seating, but I can't say much about the interior. We had called beforehand to inquire whether the restaurant was wheelchair accessible, which was confirmed. The restaurant is definitely not wheelchair accessible; the restrooms are only accessible by stairs. This wasn't a problem for us, as the wheelchair user didn't need the toilet. The "sister restaurant," Eis Cafe Clamore, across the street, has a restroom accessible by elevator, but it's very narrow for wheelchair users. Still, it's a shame to get incorrect information as a wheelchair user. The staff was friendly, we were served quickly, and the food was delicious. We had spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti aglio e olio, tagliatelle with salmon, and a pizza with salmon, zucchini, and mozzarella. We can recommend all four dishes.

Firstly, the staff was very rude and unaccommodating, which made my stay unpleasant from the start. Secondly, I was given cutlery that wasn't clean – it still had food residue on it. The new cutlery was thrown down, and the waiter was quite rude about it. This is absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant and creates a very bad impression.

I unfortunately have to correct my review from a year ago. We're aware that Il Podio gets very busy and the staff is always on the go. We understand this and were prepared to wait a bit. However, we honestly had to wait two hours for our food, while the neighboring table, whose guests arrived at least 30 minutes after us, were allowed to order first and received their food much earlier than ours. We're used to orders being processed chronologically, but that doesn't seem to be the case if you give priority to well-known guests. And there wasn't even a comment or apology about the delay; the food was simply handed over without a word. Despite the high volume, some servers were still friendly, others less so. The noise level is very high, which is due to the fact that many guests are seated close together in a small space, especially inside. The pizzas were and still are very delicious. The pasta and salmon, however, didn't do my stomach any good. Either the salmon wasn't fresh anymore, or it was something else. The restaurant might be worth giving another chance when it's less busy, but otherwise, if I were you, I'd skip the long wait and go somewhere else to eat.

Eat, drink, meet friends in the heart of the city - it's a place to be.

Four of us went there for dinner today. We left over €100 on the table. After I paid in cash with a tip, the waiter threw the change on the table and didn't even thank me or say goodbye. Very rude. Even if it was busy, you should still remain friendly. We recently went to the B30 Pizzeria, and the staff was super nice and extremely friendly.

One of the best pizzerias in the area. I've tried a variety of pasta and pizzas – they've always been very good.

I have to honestly say I don't really expect much. Everyone can have a bad day or a bad moment, and that's perfectly fine. But when the waiter treats me as if I should be grateful for being served, it stops. Mistakes or comments are generally ignored, and customers are treated in what I consider to be a rude manner. The food was average—nothing I'd call incredible, but it wasn't terrible either.

Pleasant ambience, top location, delicious food, good value for money and friendly staff - we are very satisfied.

We were at Il Podio today and spent about €250 on food. Once, they brought us a Spezi instead of a Coke, and a pizza came with arugula instead of the onions we ordered. We accepted both and took them as they came. We still left a €25 tip. Two cappuccinos were also ordered for our table, but we didn't consume them. We were accused of skipping the bill. Not like that!

Good food at fair prices. Very good service.

Incredibly subpar pizza. The dough is absolutely unloved, and the tomato sauce tastes of nothing. Any Gustavo Gusto ready-made pizza tastes 100 times better. Or buy a ready-made pizza base at Lidl; it tastes just as good as the pizza at Polio.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Carbonara without cream, just as it should be (unfortunately, that's not the norm everywhere), and top-notch pizza. Kids are welcome here, are served first, and can have a little fun on a small carousel. The pizza knives could be a bit sharper, but otherwise, nothing to complain about. 😉

Lunch menu: Service was prompt, and the food arrived quickly. The fish fillet was raw and tough inside. When I complained, there was no apology, no discount, or other consideration.

Unfortunately, I can only give it 2 stars. I had hoisted my mother's walker over the threshold, then I asked if there was an elevator for the upper floor. Rude reply: "The ground-level entrance is at the back." But it would have been too much to walk around the outside again with my elderly mother. I then asked the waiter if he could please carry the walker up the steps to the first floor (about 10 steps), as I have limited mobility. Again, he was totally rude and unfriendly: "That's not my job," but he carried it up extremely reluctantly. I thanked him and asked my mother where she wanted to sit. And the waiter again;" "Sit in the private room here, it's better for you," even though there were plenty of other places available. This is anything but customer-friendly and service-oriented. I'm giving it two stars because luckily we had another waiter who was very friendly. The food was okay. I won't be coming back, though.

English menu option which was fantastic. Services was great, food was good, atmosphere is fabulous around the area.

Delicious Friendly, very nice service

ATTENTION Risk of rip-off! It is recommended to check the invoice carefully! We - tourists - ordered something to drink twice (= 4 drinks) and were promptly charged a few EUR too much! Service unfriendly, hardly a greeting (with the head turned to the other side), quite arrogant, and at the end the insinuation that we had ordered something else... and... an invoice that couldn't be right. Only after a loud argument and after the entire audience turned and stared in our direction did we receive the difference back. It wasn't the case before, two people (both waiters) tried to play us for fools. In short: watch out!!!

I've been to this restaurant a few years ago and wanted to give it a second chance - unfortunately it was a complete disappointment again. On our first visit, we were only spoken to after more than 30 minutes - which was too late for the lunch that we actually wanted to use. Only after discussion did we receive the dishes from the lunch table. Then yesterday the second attempt: We were seated at a very sloping table. The order was taken, but the food only arrived after over 90 minutes - without any information about a longer waiting time. Two glasses fell over due to the slanted table, whereupon we were asked to move to another table by a waiter. However, when the food finally came, another waiter complained to us that we had “just moved,” even though we were explicitly asked to do so by the staff. The food, especially the pizza, tasted really good. However, different sizes were served. When we ordered 3 large and 1 small pizza, we received 2 large and 2 small pizzas - but we were still charged for 3 large ones. The overall tone was very unfriendly and tense. We weren't treated kindly when paying either - I was even overcharged, which was dismissed with a curt "Something got mixed up" - without an apology or a return of the money. Bottom line: Delicious food alone isn't enough when the service is so disrespectful and chaotic - especially if you've already experienced this from the past. This was definitely the last visit for us.

Great restaurant, always very busy, so you may have to make a reservation or have to wait. Food super tasty, staff quick, friendly and attentive. We can highly recommend it.

Today, on this mixed Sunday, we spontaneously stopped by Il Podio. The spacious terrace at Marienplatz offers enough space for locals and tourists. Everyone is welcome. The food and drink menu offers a countless selection of Swabian and Italian cuisine. There is also an extra card with daily recommendations. If you can't find anything to eat here, you should go to the golden M instead. The two young men in service present themselves in an Italian elegant, charming and courteous manner. You feel welcome. The kitchen really did a great job. The pizza was delicious, better than at Walfisch next door. Ravensburgers should understand the irony. My salad with steak was cooked to perfection and garnished with generous flakes of parmesan cheese. The, you would think, simple bruschetta was to die for. Absolute recommendation. Only the bubble waffle from across the street could have been juicier. Grazie Mille Il Podio presents itself as number one on the piazza. Addendum: One week later. Unfortunately I have to deduct a star from the food. The service and ambience remain excellent. However, the kitchen showed weaknesses on this Sunday evening. With this high number of guests it is understandable, but a beef fillet with side dishes for €30 should still correspond to the standard. As is unfortunately often the case in various restaurants, a “medium-well” was served instead of “medium”. In our case, salt and pepper were completely missing. The meat didn't appear to have reached the grill; The pieces were probably cooked directly in the oven. One crust was completely missing. I hope Il Podio will improve these points by my next visit.

Super delicious food, very faster and very friendly service. It is best to park in the Marienplatz car park; exit E1 is located directly at the restaurant. We were very satisfied and will come back.

The Ristorante Il Podio is definitely worth a visit at any time. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is excellent, a very good wine selection and the service is definitely worth mentioning! The staff is extremely friendly, hard-working, attentive, and consistently friendly. All guests are treated equally and courteously. It's always a special experience to be there. Today we were able to enjoy another excellent meal: salmon strudel with delicious potatoes and a grilled, mixed fish or seafood platter with a fine vegetable side dish. Keep it up and thank you for the warm hospitality!

We were there at the weekend with friends who come from near Ravensburg and I have to say we were very satisfied. I and my wife had a pasta dish that was very tasty and freshly prepared. A great restaurant in the heart of Ravensburg.

Unfortunately the pizza oven was broken during our visit. However, the pasta was also very tasty. The waiters were very attentive and at the end there was a schnapps on the house. It was nice! 😊

Worked there for 3 days...but would you go to a place where an Albanian waiter who barely speaks Italian allows himself to mistreat his colleagues and make unwelcome comments to his colleagues? I do not

Very friendly, good selection, delicious food, What is not pleasant are the two tables on the upper floor. Too close together, no privacy. Employees and guests have to squeeze through the tables when getting up to go to the toilet or clearing the table. Tables approx. 30cm apart.

You feel like an anchovy in a fast food restaurant.

To be honest, we say the absolute pasta Feeaks: the best vitello tonnato (especially those jummy capers) and the best spaghetti, served from a melty, flambéed huge peccorino directly at our table on the mezzanine under the stairs. Before that, the delicious 😋 and uplifting Monari Mule 🍸 cocktail. We literally floated and will come back - as soon as we move to Ravensburg, because we fell in love with this city during a short vacation on the occasion of the Gianna Nannini concert in December 2024.

Great restaurant! Price-performance ratio fits! A restaurant where you can still go out to eat these days! Homemade tortellini super good! Huge pizza with good toppings and just the right thickness! Very cozy individual niches with seating areas for 2 or more people. The waitresses were all very friendly and everything went very quickly.

This was our second time in this cafe today and unfortunately we were once again treated extremely rudely. The waiter ignored our greeting and was dismissive from the start. He literally threw objects like the ashtray on the table, which is completely inappropriate. When we asked a simple, polite question, he responded in a rude, stroppy manner. The whole thing escalated when we wanted to get up to leave the café. The waiter came up to us because we had previously ordered a cappuccino. We confronted him about how disrespectful he had treated us, but instead of apologizing or at least defusing the situation, he just said "okay" and turned around. This behavior is completely unacceptable and we will definitely not recommend this cafe. There are many other cafés in Ravensburg where you are treated with kindness and respect - unfortunately this is not one of them. Too bad!

We were at Il Podio for the second time today and were unfortunately served again by the same rude service person as on our first visit (male, approx. 45-50 years old, 175cm, short hair, 3-day beard). Everyone can have a bad day, but after today our greeting was not even returned and instead an ashtray was literally slammed onto our table without saying a word, we decided not to subject ourselves to this treatment again and left the café. When the service worker then ran after us and literally shouted at us, we tried to explain the situation objectively, but this was interrupted with a snide "okay", whereupon the waitress in question simply turned around and ran away. Someone like that has no place in direct customer contact

Best Italian restaurant in the area. We are now regulars!

We had dinner with a larger group, including a lot of children. Since it can be louder and more chaotic with children, we were very grateful that the staff were very friendly and polite throughout. The food was very tasty, came quickly despite being busy and packing up the many leftovers to take away was no problem. Thank you for that.

Here you can eat good pizza and other Italian specialties. The service is attentive and the food was very good. There are also gluten-free pizzas, but the extra charge is too high.

What a nice place for a spontaneous stop. While strolling through Ravensburg we were surprised by the rain. When we were looking for a restaurant we found it here. Great lunch menu, delicious at moderate prices and attentive service. It's worth it!

We've been here four or five times now and each time it's been delicious and it's always been friendly

Not a german speaker, went with my partner and sister. We all ordered smoothies which were lovely. Partner ordered a pizza, it was chewy dry and flavourless. I ordered a carbonara which I never saw, asked after 30 minutes of waiting and it was just put through. After waiting a further 20 minutes I asked about it again. I then asked for it to go. The waiter spoke English. We had a hard time getting his attention to order in the first place. I took the carbonara home and it was just dry pasta. Nothing else maybe 1 or two bits of bacon through it. I've worked in restaurants and fast food, so I understand if it's busy there may be a delay however it wasn't busy.

It was a very nice evening, thank you very much! We were very well looked after with everything our hearts desired. The service was absolutely top! With 4 children we weren't easy to work with and the boys did a great job! :-) We would love to come back. P.S. Great atmosphere, I really liked it!

You can sit inside and outside (pedestrian zone), the service is good and friendly and the food tastes delicious. The ice cream comes from the ice cream parlor diagonally opposite and is also highly recommended!

The order was a sweet margherita pizza Pasta with mushrooms has no taste

If you like eating pizza, this is the right place for you. They are large, have good toppings and taste very good. Unfortunately, many other dishes leave a lot to be desired. The grilled scampi (unfortunately only shrimp) are difficult to peel and rubbery, therefore not edible. Some salads could be improved, especially the one on the menu is not recommended. Unfortunately, the pasta dish 'Al Forno' was also not convincing; it was too tasteless and not over baked. Unfortunately, there are often problems ordering and picking up the food. Often you are told, 'Come in 30 minutes'. If you get there after 30 minutes, you will unfortunately be informed that it will take another 20 to 30 minutes because the pizzas have not been made yet or have been forgotten. That's a shame because the ambience is great and the service does an excellent job.

We found the service to be very bad, the staff hardly speaks any German, the waiting times are too long, and you are often rejected with strollers. I submitted a review four months ago, but unfortunately nothing has changed to date. The food is still bad and doesn't taste good. The male employees are still very unfriendly.

Spaghetti Carbonara was super tasty. Really nice and creamy and the taste is just right. The best thing is the original one without cream.
