The food is very good. The service and the owners are always very friendly! I don't know of any other restaurant where you can get an appetizer for free. We come here every now and then and are always very satisfied. The battle plate tonight was also awesome! We'll see each other again soon 🥰

If you like the old flair and are still looking for it, Gasthof Sonne is the right place for you👍 Good German home cooking and an ambience like Grandma's/Mama's times in the 80s. I love it because it's becoming less and less possible to travel through time like this 😍

Short and sweet! To be honest, I can't understand all the good reviews here. My visit was a disaster, to put it nicely. Let's start with the positive. The service in my case from an older gentleman was nice and warm. As a guest, I felt he was making an effort. That was all ok. The ambience, you could already guess it from the outside, I would say a typical village inn. The guest room was also kept in this style. You can see it from the outside, so it's ok. Everything was neat and clean. Let's move on to the food and drinks. I chose a piccolo, 1 osaft and 1 grappa and paid €13.50 for these drinks. In my opinion it's already close to the limit. For the main course I ordered a steak with onions and fries for €25.60. The starter soup was okay. The salad was dry, carelessly prepared without dressing. The main course, i.e. the steak, was done at the wrong level. The meat tasted like nothing and was really borderline edible. The onions also had no flavor other than fat. With the fries, soft and without salt. Every second snack bar sells better ones. The mayo was cheap, almost disgusting. The plate was carelessly prepared. In summary, I would say it's a nice village restaurant where you can definitely go for a drink and receive warm service, but I can only advise against eating. Of course I didn't expect top quality in a restaurant like this in Rohrbach, but that was nothing at all. Price performance is not right here.

Hausmannskost sehr lecker, Zu empfehlen. Gute Portionen. Auch ein Gruß aus der Küche wurde uns serviert. Service top und zuvorkommend lustiger Wirt. Ambiente rustikal elegant gemütlich Wenn ihr die Chance habt geht hin leider gibt es diese frische und Qualität immer seltener 👍👍👍👍👍

Der Gasthof Zur Sonne ist ein typisches gutbürgerliches Lokal sowohl im Ambiente als auch in der Speisekartenauswahl. Eines der wenigen Restaurants, in denen es noch die heimische Küche zu bezahlbaren Preisen gibt. Ich habe sehr gut gegessen, Hoorische mit Lachs und als Nachtisch einen leckeren Schokokuchen. Außerordentlich gut war das Bier, König Ludwig Dunkel findet man in unserer Region sonst nicht.

Gemütliches Restaurant in ruhiger Atmosphäre in rustkalem Ambiente. Bestens geeignet für Geburtstagsfeiern, Familientreffen, Jubiläen, Klassentreffen, Traueressen etc. Kleine Gäste sind ebenfalls willkommen. Frische gestärkte Tischdecken, Tischdeko mit Kerzenlicht und kleinem aber feinem Blumenschmuck. Sehr aufmerksames, freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr gepflegte, gut bürgerliche Küche. Vielseitige Mittagskarte mit wechselnden Speisen. Vorweg sogar ein Süppchen ... und hinterher ein kleines abrundendes Dessert! Für Senioren gibt es auch gerne mal die "halbe" Portion. Übersichtliche aber gute Weinkarte. Sehr gastfreundliche Öffnungszeiten. Lediglich Samstag ein verdienter Ruhetag! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ein tolles gut bürgerliches Restaurant mit Charme. Seit Jahren gehen wir immer wieder gerne hier her. Schon meine Oma liebte dieses Restaurant, meine Eltern kamen hierher, und seit Jahrzehnten wird hier vom Inhaber-Ehepaar gekocht und bewirtet. Es gibt regionale und saisonale Spezialitäten, jeder Sonderwunsch wird erfüllt und für eine Beratung und einen Plausch ist immer Zeit. Einfach richtig gemütlich. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend, die Portionen sind genau richtig! Und einen überraschenden Gruß aus der Küche oder ein kleines Dessert extra - wo gibt es denn so etwas heute noch?!? Ist mir hier letzte Woche tatsächlich passiert!!! Also: wir kommen wieder, immer wieder und das, obwohl wir nur gelegentlich auf der Durchreise hier sind!!! Also: Uneingeschränkte Empfehlung von meiner Seite!!!

Lovely, cosy restaurant with family ambiance. The meals were hearty and generously portioned. The waitress and service were excellent, and the proprietor was delightful and welcoming.
