A lovely destination with solid cuisine and minor drawbacks We visited the Wiesenmühle in beautiful weather and were craving classic German food – and that's exactly what you get here. Outside, you sit on beer tent benches under large umbrellas, which is generally very pleasant. Unfortunately, the planes fly quite low, which sometimes spoils the conversation. Inside, it's clean and well-maintained, but the ambiance is a bit dated – but overall, it still feels cozy. The menu offers a good selection (see photo), with something for everyone. The food was decent to good in terms of taste – solid, but not outstanding compared to similarly priced options elsewhere. The dishes were beautifully presented. The service was attentive at first, and the food and drinks arrived quickly. Towards the end, the customer service was a little less attentive, but the friendliness was consistent throughout – so overall, it was absolutely fine. Conclusion: A lovely place to stop for a bite to eat, especially in conjunction with a walk or excursion into the surrounding area. If you are looking for down-to-earth cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place for you.

I recently spent a very nice evening at the Gasthof Wiesenmühle. The food was really tasty – freshly prepared and very well seasoned. The location is simply great, with a cozy atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. It's the perfect place to relax and eat well. Overall, it was a thoroughly successful visit that I would be happy to repeat.

You can sit nicely inside and outside here. Service was great, the food was delicious. Anyone who loves schnitzel and Hessian specialties has come to the right place. Dogs are also welcome here. You can also do it before/after with a nice walk directly from the Wiesenmühle.

If you are going on a trip on foot or by bike, you should stop here. The restaurant can also be reached by car, but due to the narrow access road this is only for those with strong nerves when there is oncoming traffic ;) The service team is very nice, the portions are generous, fair in price and delicious. Next time I'll probably stop there for a nice walk, but I really enjoyed it. We were there in winter, but I can imagine it being very nice there in summer :) Thank you for the delicious food

The Gasthof Wiesenmühle is adjacent to a beautiful hiking trail and is definitely worth a visit! Very tasty food & very good and courteous service! You can easily take the dessert home with you if you wish! Very happy again! :)

I was very disappointed on my last visit. I don't want to go into detail, but things used to be so much better. Price performance absolute catastrophe and then the card reader is broken every time 😉 that's clear... The service gives the impression that they want to get off work as quickly as possible. You won't be served after 9 p.m. Sorry but that's my true assessment. I hope that something will change here.

Written reservation requests take 48 hours, so it was our own fault that we didn't get a place. Really bad.

Except for the Käsespätzle (a pure creamy mush), the food was great. Very nice waiter. Unfortunately there were only two desserts.

Our evening at the Gasthof Wiesenmühle was simply awesome! We feasted our way through the menu with friends and every dish was a hit. My visit to the Gasthof Wiesenmühle was excellent. The schnitzel with fries was fantastic - the meat was crispy and perfectly fried, the fries were fresh and well seasoned. The portions were generous and left nothing to be desired. The cozy atmosphere of the inn and the friendly, attentive staff made the visit even more pleasant. What was particularly practical was that there was enough parking space, which made getting there very easy. I can recommend Gasthof Wiesenmühle to anyone looking for good food in a relaxed environment. A visit that I would like to repeat.

Plenty of parking spaces available, materials have to be overcome to get to the restaurant. Service very nice and accommodating. Rustic restaurant - we have been eating here regularly for years. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated significantly. I could make the schnitzel better 😅eat not well seasoned - even I had to add more salt. I asked over the phone whether there was goose leg - that's why we went there. Unfortunately, finding out on site that there is either breast or leg is a matter of luck. Too bad. Totally overpriced for poor quality.

Solid, delicious German cuisine.

Today we were in the Wiesenmühle for the first time. It is easy to reach by car. There are enough parking spaces. The restaurant itself is quaint and cozy. Without appearing old-fashioned. The service is extremely attentive and you are served very quickly. The selection of wines from nearby wineries is very good and the prices are fair. The menu promises good home cooking. Everything is fresh and super tasty. If you're ever in the area, visit this restaurant.

Tuesday 10/1/24 7:30 p.m. (farmer's schnitzel and onion schnitzel) The schnitzels were 1 mm thin and fried dead dry, one side partially black. I've never experienced that anywhere. When asked if it tasted good, I didn't answer whether it should have been clear from the residue on the plate. I was also invited by my companion, so for the sake of decency I didn't express my opinion. We have eaten there several times in the past and were satisfied, but these schnitzels were not acceptable, so I deleted my post review 2 years ago. We won't come back. For 17.90 I can get better elsewhere. Or were we just unlucky at such a late hour even though there were only a few visitors there? In any case, we were disappointed. Conclusion: price increase combined with loss of quality.

It's a shame, the Kässpätzle were delicious, but were overwhelmed by the fried onions. The portion won't fill you up. Half fried onion, half cheese pätzle... flattened on a flat plate. Really little for €14.90....

A bike tour with a nice ending. The Wiesenmühle is not that easy to find. Beautifully located by the forest and vineyards. After you have parked your car in the free parking lot or secured your bike in the yard, you only have to climb a few steps and a beautiful beer garden awaits you. Once you get to the top, you have to wait until you are assigned a table. You can also sit inside, it's classically German/good middle-class furnishings. When the weather is nice, I definitely recommend the outdoor area. There are many benches/tables with umbrellas to protect you from the hot sun. As soon as we sat down, someone from the service came and asked for drinks. These were also served quickly. The menu is home-style and definitely has something for every taste. About various hand cheese variations, salads, minced steaks, knuckle, sausage salad with fried potatoes, if you like something heartier, there is a knuckle for you, and of course the classics, such as the schnitzel in many variations, should not be missing either. Of course there are a few more dishes, but there is a menu in a printed or digital version that can be accessed using a QR code. The portions are just right, the quality and presentation of the food is good too. You can pay in cash or by card. A nice place to switch off and forget about everyday life. Great and rich food in beautiful surroundings. Within walking distance of Flörsheim, Wicker Hochheim. But there are also enough parking spaces available.

We stopped in there after a short bike ride and no matter what we ordered it was there quickly and always came together for everyone. Everything was very tasty...especially the Kaiserschmarrn. A dream 🙏🏼 all in all really recommended 😊

Down at full throttle: Obviously there's a new host with a new menu and, as with every change, new prices, but that's it for us... €17.50 for an Alsatian schnitzel with fries (???)

Actually, I have always been a very satisfied and returning guest. I can therefore only relate this assessment to the last visit. I wanted some hand-made cheese. There are “single”, “double” and “three different”. The price scale increases accordingly to €9.90 for “three things”. I ordered "three kinds" and were served just under (!) 1.5 pieces of cheese, divided into 3 variations. I think the natural expectation is 3 hand cheese, especially since the respective price increase also suggests that. I expressed this when making the payment and received the following good advice: "Then use something different next time." No idea if that was a blip or if the kitchen and service staff have changed. I hope the former, because - to be fair - there is always a second chance... maybe someday.

It's been a long time since I've had such a bad meal, considering the prices. My wine, which was actually good, wasn't even chilled yet.

To charge €16.90 for a salad with chicken breast that is only the size of a side salad is audacious. The beer garden without charm in a loveless atmosphere with constant aircraft noise. Only the schnitzels were good. Service ok. But we won't come back.

If a beer garden only has 2 guests in this beautiful weather, you should be suspicious. Little choice of food, drinks overpriced, bottle of water 0.7l self-sparkling 5.50, that's pretty cheeky. Had Frankfurt tapas, the taste was ok except for the green sauce, but afterwards I had stomach problems and diarrhea. We'll never go there again.

The service and quality in this restaurant can be improved very much. There were only a few guests on site, but it still took a long time for the service staff to take the orders and bring them. Anyone who works with customers should also be a little friendlier and smile every now and then. The mushroom schnitzel with the homemade spaetzle was very carelessly prepared and the taste was also below average. The mushroom sauce was more reminiscent of paste and the spaetzle had no taste whatsoever.

Locally away from the noise, with good traditional cuisine

June 2024: After we were very happy with the food on the first visit, we were pretty disappointed on the second visit. But they came to meet us and came to an agreement with us. The environment is very nice, the service is attentive. We'll try again.

The food is very tasty, service is friendly and quick. The homemade lemonade in particular is a wonderful change from the other standard drinks, very refreshing and not too sweet, definitely try it. The dishes are regional, typical Frankfurt cuisine. The selection is optimal, not so much that you spend forever over the menu, but enough for every taste. The portions are rather large and there was no room for dessert. If you like smaller portions, the appetizer menu is a good choice.

Nice location, nice beer garden (I didn't see the restaurant inside) Food was okay, but I wouldn't come here again because of that. Schnitzel finished product? The cooking cheese sauce was a solid lump, I know it differently and have eaten it better elsewhere. Unfortunately, my companions didn't find their food particularly tasty (asparagus menu, green sauce with egg) The employees were very nice.

This was the third time I've been there in a short time and it was always very good. The food is delicious and the portions are large and not too expensive. If I'm in the area again, I'll be happy to come back.

The positive reports about the Wiesenmühle since the change of ownership make me fundamentally doubt the credibility of Google reviews. There are either tons of fake identities at work here or people whose horizons are extremely limited, at least when it comes to gastronomic quality. Even by Flörsheim standards, what has been expected of us since the reopening is beyond criticism. Brutal, jovial tone (at the age of 60+ I no longer want to be forced to use my first name), undeniably unprofessional service (the main course is slapped on the table after the starter had obviously not been eaten on the table for two minutes after a ridiculously long wait), fried potatoes, which are served cold, but in a kind of tanker disaster diorama. How you can mess up the schnitzel, which obviously comes from convenience food sources, is beyond my imagination. In the last two years, after questionable experiences from me and my family and friends, the store has had more than enough chances to prove itself for reasons of nostalgia. What remains is that none of us will ever go there again. The one star is given under protest because there is no other way. To the operators: Shame on you!

Hard to believe. I am now 62 years old and was last at the Wiesenmühle when I was 15, 16 and 17, i.e. several times in my youth. So my memories and feelings overwhelmed me. But one thing is for sure, I'll be a regular. Food really great, service top!

So the food is really tasty but unfortunately every time you want to order something there is currently no delivery on the site which is very annoying.
