Gasthof Sauerteig in Rödental

Wir waren heute das erste Mal im Gasthof Sauerteig essen. Wir sind ohne Erwartungen angekommen und wurden mehr als positiv überrascht. Wir hatten 3 verschiedene Hauptgerichte, unter anderem den Zander - der wirklich überragend war. Wir waren alle schlichtweg begeistert und kommen sehr gerne bald wieder. Ein sehr großes Lob an die Küche und die sehr netten Mitarbeiter.

Sehr leckeres Essen vom Rehwild mit Klößen. Absolute Empfehlung Nach dem Besitzerwechsel exzellenter Service und Sauerbraten mit Knödel nur noch am Wochenende. Sonst eine echte Perle.

Sehr freundliche und kompetente Bedienung, auf Sonderwünsche wird gerne eingegangen und sind gar keine Schwierigkeit.

Sind immer gern zum Sauerteig aber diesmal recht enttäuscht wegen der kleinen Portionen. Hatte ein Gordon Bleu für 17,50. Qualität war durchschnittlich Portion für den holen Zahn. 16,80 ein Salat mit Hähnchenstreifen. Mittlerweile leider normale Preise für durchschnittliches Essen wofür man aber auch normale Portionen erwarten kann.

Wir waren am Muttertag zum Essen ab 13 Uhr im Sauerteig. Es war sehr viel los und ich war skeptisch, dass alles gut funktioniert. Vor Ort habe ich festgestellt, dass die Bedingungen sehr gut organisiert waren. V.a. war die Kommunikation mit uns Gästen hervorragend. Es war klar, dass heute alles länger dauert, aber durch die freundliche Aussagen war die Wartezeit sehr gut zu ertragen. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Insgesamt ein gelungener Besuch. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren am 20.03. zum Mittagessen im Gasthof Sauerteig in Rödental. Bestellt wurde Gänsebrust und Sauerbraten. Die Gänsebrust war sehr saftig und die Haut sehr kross. Vielen Dank an den Koch dafür. Danach gab es verschiedene Kuchen die alle selbst gebacken waren. Wo gibt es das noch in der Gastronomie? Die Kuchen waren alle sehr gut. Rundum es war ein gelungener Tag. Vielen Dank an die Küche und das Personal. Auch gibt es immer wieder live Musikveranstaltungen im dazugehörigen Saal. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Waren heute beim Essen. Bedienung unfreundlich, Glas sehr schmutzig, Kalk ablagerungen. Haben schon besser gegessen. Preisleistung, Service und Ware nicht ok

Sehr gutes qualitativ hochwertiges Essen. Für so ein Haus ein sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Portionen groß. Qualität hat nach dem Pächterwechsel nicht gelitten. Freundliches Personal - allerdings hätte unsere Bedienung etwas aufmerksamer sein können. Sie hatte erst beim Abtragen, als wir mit Essen fertig waren, gefragt ob es geschmeckt hat und ob sie noch was bringen kann. Ich hätte allerdings lieber zum Essen noch etwas getrunken. Aber wie gesagt war bis auf diese Kleinigkeit wirklich alles sehr zufriedenstellend.

We had originally reserved a table for 25 people for our daughter's first day of school, but a few weeks before the event, we reduced the number to 15. Unfortunately, two guests had to cancel that morning due to illness. Instead of showing understanding, the manager had the waitress tell us that it was "absolutely unacceptable" that we hadn't called – a completely rude reaction on a day when, as parents, you have completely different concerns. We were assured over the phone that we could bring our own cake. However, when we got there, we still had to pay the full price for coffee – even for guests who didn't drink it. On top of that, there was an absolute outrage: they charged €8.50 for two glasses of cold milk for children, the same price as the coffee. And on top of that, two additional children were also charged for coffee, even though they, of course, didn't drink any. The food was good, the table was beautifully decorated, and the little cone of sweets for the schoolchild was a nice gesture. Nevertheless, such behavior remains unfriendly to customers, petty, and simply disappointing on such a special day.

It was a delicious lunch with a starter and dessert. Home-style cooking. Very tasty and definitely recommended!

We were only there briefly for lunch. They had a small but excellent lunch menu with various roast dishes. The main courses and salads were delicious and finely seasoned. A big compliment to the staff; the service was quick and friendly. Everything was excellent. We'd be happy to come back.

We spontaneously stopped here for dinner today. The hunter's pan and the trout were very good. The food was hot and very tasty. Highly recommended.

The food, despite being convenient, is pretty good. But one question: Thuringian dumplings in the Coburg region? I think that's a real shame.

Yes, of course! Recommended for locals. The food is okay. The Coburg dumplings are a delicacy. The vegetables and side dishes are good. The salmon was overcooked three times, and the roulades were very dry. Still, a lot of people go there, so it's best to make a reservation in advance to be on the safe side.

The food was very tasty, especially the lamb fillet and the roast venison, which were beautifully tender, but I find the hunter's pan quite expensive. 25 euros for three pork medallions with some sauce and hash browns. That's just too much.

Parking spaces available, right in front of the door. Service great! Staff very friendly, you feel at home. Great food, others can learn a piece of it! If something is wrong, it will be implemented promptly! Was there with the company, but would also come here privately because the price/performance is right! Keep it up!

So first of all I have to PRAISE THE FOOD VERY BIG ❤️ I haven't eaten so well in a long time. This grill plate... A dream! The meat melted in your mouth. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY across the board 👍 The rooms aren't the most modern, but it was a nice and large room and the beds were also A DREAM! I'm not even that comfortable in my bed at home ☺️ Five stars ✨ and two thumbs up!

Unfortunately I have to say that I am very disappointed. The staff was unfriendly and seemed to have little interest in a positive guest experience. To make matters worse, I found hair in my food, which is simply unacceptable. Such hygienic deficiencies should not occur in a restaurant. The incompetence of the staff only made matters worse. Overall it was a very unsatisfactory experience and unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. We definitely won't eat there again. I hope management takes these issues seriously and makes improvements.

We ate here for the first time today, the staff was very friendly, but the rest leaves something to be desired, the name was spelled incorrectly and what was written on the reservation sign didn't even come close to matching our names. The drinks are very overpriced, why does a 0.4l Spezi cost more than a 0.5l Radler. You could look for the sauce on the plate, I took a roulade home with me, so I'm not really like that, but you could also look for the sauce like in the restaurant and I didn't take a salad with me either and paid the full price , the roulade cost €20.50 so for that price I expect that I have enough sauce and as I said they actually had to take the salad off. I only give the 3 stars for the staff.

Our local restaurant. I like Franconian Riesling. I love the large salad plate with turkey strips. My husband is a schnitzel eater. Everything's fine.

My wife recently had lunch here with me and I have eaten here several times with my lovely mother. On every visit the food was excellent and the service was perfect. Thanks to the lovely team.

Went to Restaurant Sauerteig again. Service was good but my starter was a farce, the small salad plate for 4.50 euros, the same as the side salad, but the crowning glory was the grilled plate with turkey, beef and pork, a total of 120 grams of meat, a handful of lukewarm to cold bacon beans and the fries soaked with fat Carelessly prepared and not recommended at a price of over 30 euros Was very very disappointing

We were there for dinner. We all enjoyed it very much. The premises were neat and clean. Service was quick, friendly and lovely. Typical, cozy tavern atmosphere. There are enough parking spaces available. We'd love to come back.

We were there to eat and they made an effort to accommodate us with a larger group at short notice. The service was great, the food was delicious and we would recommend this inn to everyone.

Today we got dumplings and sauce. 8 dumplings with sauce 24 euros. Four bites and the dumpling was gone. The taste was very floury and the sauerbraten sauce that came with it didn't really taste like sauerbraten sauce. We probably won't get anything more.

We were booked as a band for a 60th birthday party at the Gasthof Sauerteig. Great food, lots of it and very varied. Location from the band's point of view is great. Great hall. From the guests' point of view, it's certainly because everyone had a lot of fun.

Super clean, very nice staff, great large room in Biedermeier style, everything harmoniously comfortable bed breakfast with boiled egg, muesli etc. Everything was there!

On March 23rd, 2024, the Gasthof Sauerteig hosted my 70th birthday including overnight stay. First of all: Many thanks to the entire team - you did everything brilliantly! The service went smoothly, even though there were two other people in the house in addition to our party. The food was very tasty, as all of our guests confirmed. The rooms are very spacious and clean, including the bathrooms. Overall we were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

The food is excellent and includes typical Franconian roasts and dumplings with a homemade sauce. Table reservation online doesn't work at all, we arrived at a completely overcrowded pub and only got two seats with luck and because the service person was so nice. But if you don't know how to make your online table reservations, it's better to take them off the website.

Ein großes Beisammensein im familiären Kreis. Jeder wählt etwas anderes aus der überaus ansprechenden Speisekarte - und alles kommt nahezu gleichzeitig auf den Tisch. Alle sind ausnahmslos hochzufrieden. Ein aufmerksamer und freundlicher Wirt, der sogar das dem Service nicht eben zuträgliche Gewusel eines Kindergartenkindes klaglos erträgt, krönt den guten Eindruck. In diesem gemütlichen Gasthof kehrt man gerne wieder ein, zumal die Preise sehr human sind.

Everyone chooses something different from the extremely appealing menu - and everything comes to the table almost at the same time. Without exception, everyone is very satisfied. An attentive and friendly host, who even tolerates the hustle and bustle of a kindergarten child without complaint, which is not particularly conducive to service, crowns the good impression. You'll be happy to come back to this cozy inn, especially since the prices are very reasonable.

Übernachtung: -saubere Zimmer -schnelle und kurzfristige Buchung & Bestätigung -Schlüsseltresor für späte Anreise vorhanden -auch hier gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis Generell ein sehr schönes Ambiente im typischen Gasthaus Stil, wenn ich wieder eine Baustelle in der Nähe habe komme ich definitiv wieder hier her!

Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut. Anscheinend allee frisch und hausgemacht. Preislich absolut im Rahmen mit unter 20€. Atmosphäre ist gemütlich rustikal, das Lokal war gut besucht.

Perfect stop-over for a bicyclist, right at the EV13. I had a small single room, but all was modern and functional. Friendly service. I would come again. Although no restaurant, a vety near-by greek restaurant was excellent.

Diese Bewertung bezieht sich auf das Restaurant, nicht auf das Hotel. Die Lage ist ganz okay, jedoch gilt es zu beachten, das die Parkplätze in den Stoßzeiten nicht ausreichen. Der Service ist nett und zuvorkommend. Die Wartezeit für das Essen ist mehr als akzeptabel. Das einzige Problem hatte ich mit einer großen Flasche Wasser. Diese war bis zum Rand mit Leitungswasser gefüllt. Das Essen war Klasse, das gilt auch für den Nachtisch. Ist auf alle Fälle ein Besuch wert.

Lecker Essen, gute Bedienung, Salat hätte etwas anders angemacht sein können. Ich mag mehr Essig-Öl dressing.a Ansonsten sehr gute Küche.
