Gasthof Prangen in Rhede (Ems)

An extraordinary and rich buffet on New Year's Eve. Gladly again and again.

We celebrated New Year's Eve at the Gasthof Prangen. The range of food and drinks was very diverse. For a fixed price you could have a (very) good culinary experience. There was something for every taste. We like to stop here because the atmosphere there is very pleasant and the staff is always friendly. The quality of the food and drinks here is top 👍 I can only recommend it, keep it up 👏

We joined the party on New Year's Eve 2024. Food and drinks were super tasty. For personal questions e.g. B. regarding intolerances, the response was nice and advice was given. We also liked the table service and the music later in the pub. The evening was great all around. Unfortunately over too quickly. 😉 We would go there again and again. Wow, we went for a steak dinner with the family. It was incredibly good and delicious. Even the girls (2 and 4) ate steak. Very, very tasty. Service was also great. Always my pleasure

Had a buffet, there where no more fries so I asked for some more, this was not possible, wow. Burgers where black, snitzel was dry. I would not recommend this place.

Spontaneously went out to eat at lunchtime. Nice atmosphere, very nice and friendly staff. The food was also very good. Highly recommended, if we are in the area again we will stop by.

With the bus full of Paulusma travelers we had a good and enjoyable meal.

We ate in the beer garden. Menu wasn't overly crowded, didn't quite match the menu available on the website. Flowers on the table would have liked to have had new water. Service was friendly and quick. There was enough food, from the daily menu. Fish was a bit too dark, but the breading was nice and crispy. Prices were moderate.

So first the basics. Today we had dinner at the Gasthof Prangen. I had reserved in advance. The speech was friendly and authoritative. We sat in a very nice and cozy beer garden. It wasn't loud or playing the wrong music. You have to say about the food. Everything was freshly prepared. There was Viennese-style schnitzel, sufficiently large and pounded thin like real Viennese schnitzel. There was also pepper sauce made from fresh peppers. The other schnitzel was served with braised onions. We have rarely been served such well-fried French fries. Crispy, light blonde and soft on the inside. The Pilsner came fresh from the barrel. The service was very courteous and friendly. The price-performance ratio was super correct. We will definitely come back again on this holiday. Many thanks to the team at Gasthof Prangen.

Experience in a guesthouse Prangen: Hello everyone, I would like to share my experience at the inn in the hope that it might be helpful to some of you. Unfortunately my first impression wasn't the best. The garden area was very busy, with screaming children and loud music, which wasn't quite to my liking. The menu was, as I was told, “already too big,” which I found unstructured when I browsed through it. That didn't make the choice any easier for me. The schnitzel I ordered was passable. The chanterelle cream sauce that came with it was also okay, even if the mushrooms came from a jar. Fries ok. Overall, for €16.50 it wasn't okay - although I would have liked the salad not to cost an additional €5. Left him out. In addition, I unfortunately noticed that the boss acted a little grumpy, which didn't help my overall impression. I thought I could expect more from an inn for the price. I just wanted to get rid of that! Maybe it will help someone when choosing their next meal. Kind regards! PS: If you answer here as the owner, please use the personal “you”. We had dinner in the beer garden. There is a children's playground right next to the beer garden. When several children are playing around here, it can get quite loud.

It's always a pleasure for us as Swabians... being able to enjoy an excellent meal from a great team in a very cozy atmosphere... Thank you, the Pragen family... and the music... hope it continues as before... as this gives the coziness in the beer garden a special touch!!!👍 LG Jarvers family

Sat here on the terrace after a nice bike ride. Nice beer and curry sausage with pommes and kartoffelsalat, German butcher music in the background. Absolutely great.

Very good food and friendly staff. Child friendly and dogs are welcome. I would love to go here again.

Went there to eat, didn't think it was that good, the schnitzel was pretty flattened, asparagus with a handful of fried potatoes and a piece of salmon I thought was too expensive!

I've only been to the beer garden so far. It is beautifully laid out and you can sit there well. The music that is played is from the 70s. The audience is from 50 upwards. The food isn't really tasty. Absolutely home cooking. I had the fish platter. Not recommended. The mayonnaise is free with the French fries. All in all, I recommend a beer in the beer garden.

A village restaurant as one would imagine and as it rarely exists anymore. We were served well and quickly. The food was good - as you would expect. The price was okay too.

Great, very fresh food. Homemade vegetarian dishes, rarely experienced. We were there with the whole family. Were very excited. A big compliment to the kitchen. Delicious! We'll be back ☺️

We went there for dinner. What started out as just having a drink became food, and how. I had "emfehlungen" from the list, the schnitzel with "pfifferlinge". Well that was tasty 👍 I had a soup beforehand that I also like. We sat and ate and had dessert. It is nice to relax there with music on the terrace. Quite a few Dutch people come and you notice that. I think reservations are useful. Very friendly and pleasant service Update December 2023: Had dinner there on Boxing Day. This is all organized, the soup is brought to your table and then you are told when you can go to the buffet. This way you don't get any shortages, it works fine and there is enough. This to everyone's satisfaction. Our specialty is hot chocolate with whipped cream 😉 or an Irish coffee, always delicious. With Sylvester again 👍

Haben die letzten Sonnenstrahlen im Biergarten genutzt. Netter Service

Ein junger Kreativer Koch, welcher mit immer wieder neuen Ideen um die Ecke kommt und dabei das Essen stets ein Highlight ist. Sehr zu empfehlen. Das letzte mal war es der Grillabend, welcher sehr lecker war und im nächsten Jahr wieder gebucht wird wenn es stattfindet !

Heerlijk authentieke gasthof om even een eenvoudige maaltijd te nuttigen, die op traditionele manier bereid is. Was erg gezellig.

Waren Mittags mit dem Fahrrad dort.Wir sind im Biergarten gesessen.Wir wurden freundlich bedient.Erwähnenswert war der Kuchen (Apfelstreußel).War sehr gut.Reichlich Parkplätze sind vorhanden.Zu den Zimmern kann ich nichts sagen.

Habe in dem Hotel eine Übernachtung gehabt . Das Doppelzimmer war zwar klein aber sauber. Es gab genug Handtücher im Bad außerdem einen Fön ,Seife und Duschgel .

Wir sind auf einer Radtour dort durch Zufall vorbei gekommen, der Gasthof ist sehr schön und hat einen tollen Biergarten, die Gastgeber sind super Nett, wir werden demnächst dort übernachten da es uns wirklich sehr gut gefallen hat!!!!

Wir waren heute dort mit 4 Personen im Biergarten und haben während unserer Fahrradtour eine Pause eingelegt. Haben leckeres Essen und Kaltgetränke in schöner Atmosphäre eingenommen. Den Gasthof mit dem Biergarten haben wir auf einer Radtour durch Zufall entdeckt. Der Kuchen und das Eis waren sehr gut. Das Preisleistungs Verhältnis war ok. Ich würde dort gerne wieder einkehren.

Sehr sehr lecker man schmeckt das alles hausgemacht ist und dies mit Perfektion weiter so Das einzige was mir nicht so gut geschmeckt hat war der Burger aber auch nur weil da ein Gewürz mit bei war was ich so überhaupt nicht mag 😄 aber das die Qualität war mega gut und das Eis ist der Hammer

Essen und Service einfach klasse! Restaurant mit guter guter Auswahl an Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeisen. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Servicepersonal. Das Essen war sehr gut! Sehr empfehlenswert! Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder!

Altijd weer top bij Herman en Heleen in Rhede am Ems!

Als wir ankamen ist uns ausgefallen dass es sehr viele Parkplätze hat und es hat 2 Eingänge, eine von vorne aus der Straße und eine von hinten durch den Biergarten. Der Biergarten ist traumhaft schön. Das Essen war mega lecker, die Bedienung war auch sehr sehr nett und das Dessert ist ein Muss. Ich komme wieder zu diesem Lokal.

Naa een leuke middag in Bourtange hebben wij hier gegeten. Echt genoten van het heerlijke eten. Echt top! Het zijn Super vriendelijke en lieve mensen die dit Gasthof runnen. Echt een aanrader.

Super Essen, Service ausgezeichnet, toller Biergarten. Hier kann man sehr gut feiern!

Nach einer anstrengenden Stellplatzsuche sind wir wieder einmal hier gestrandet... Leider war die Küche schon geschlossen denn wir waren viel zu spät!!! aber wir haben super geschlafen Danke Wir kommen wieder und sicher beim nächsten Mal vor 20 Uhr VLG

Wir bedanken uns für Ihre Gastfreundschaft. Wir haben hier richtig lecker gegessen. Das Schnitzel und der 0815 Bürger war top frisch zubereitet. Wir standen dort mit dem Womo richtig ruhig. Für einen Zwischenstop an die Küste sehr zu empfehlen

Wir haben noch nie so ein gutes Tomahawk Steak gegessen 👌🏻 Der Biergarten ist sehr schön, Bedienung top, waren rundum zufrieden!
