Die Rhederei in Rhede (Ems)

Went for dinner with a small group; it was cozy and nicely decorated. The service was fine, but could be a bit more personal. Coffee was placed on the table, and I didn't hear from the staff again. It's (all you can eat), but breakfast, so that's it.

Simply beautifully furnished and cozy! We will be back.

Interestingly presented herring. Served on a skewer and served with extra sauce. Delicious. Very friendly and helpful staff. Pleasant atmosphere. Our dog was also welcome.

We happened upon it by chance on our way home. What a fantastic restaurant! The staff were super friendly. We've never had such delicious tapas. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the north.

We had to leave at short notice and ended up here by chance. But what a stroke of luck! The food was exceptionally good. The meat was top-quality, and the tarte flambée was a real explosion of flavor. There's a great changing area (in the accessible restroom), and next to the restrooms, there's a separate women's restroom with additional space for the children. So you don't feel cramped. There's a wonderful play area with lots of individual play options. I've never seen anything like it before.

We stopped here for lunch on our way north. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was very good for a truck stop restaurant. The food, from the burgers to the Kumpir to the kids' menu, was delicious. The Kumpir is more like a baked potato, but it was tasty. The restrooms and children's play area were also perfectly fine. You couldn't have a better place to take a break.

The food (dinner and breakfast) was delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. It's child-friendly, and there's even a large play area. Despite the set tapas menu that evening, we were able to order something for our child without any problems, and special requests due to food intolerances were accommodated without any problems. It's quite expensive. I can recommend it.

We quickly grabbed a coffee there in the morning, and I took a shower. It costs 5 euros, and it's like camping, but at least it works.

Go here for a break from the highway (and not to M). Great indoor playground, everything clean. Excellent!

There's absolutely nothing to complain about, except that it's always busy 😂 but that's where the success is evident: all the food is delicious and high-quality, and the buffet is a dream. Everyone should try it.

While passing through, we made a brief but extremely pleasant stop at a charming restaurant. The friendly service and delicious coffee immediately created a cozy atmosphere. We were particularly impressed by the lovingly prepared breakfast buffet, which left nothing to be desired. The prices were more than reasonable, and we were also impressed by the cleanliness of the restrooms. There were indoor play areas for our younger guests, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely stop here again on our way back—a real insider tip!

I stopped by here while passing through. I actually just wanted to grab a bite to eat and use the restroom. The Sunday buffet looked so appetizing and inviting that I spontaneously decided to sit outside in the sun. The ambiance inside looked very appealing. There's also an indoor playground for children and a small children's buffet. You won't find that anywhere else in Germany. The food was delicious and varied. But, as is often the case, the staff made the difference. Please continue to be so customer-focused and friendly! Thank you!

Come in at 8:15pm, there's nothing left to eat, it's open until 10pm... the food was good otherwise, but to be sent away like that I think it's bad.

Recommended! Top service, very friendly! The restaurant is very suitable for children and the dog was also welcome. Cozy interior. The food was very tasty, we were there on Friday (hamburger day). Inside you have an indoor playground and even a family toilet has been thought of. Class and sparkling clean!

We ended up there by chance, and now we go there every now and then when we're on the A31 and there's no traffic. The dogs are treated very kindly, too.

On the way to Norderney or Juist there is a stopover at the shipping company. Very tasty coffee and super nice service. You can also grab a bite to eat here. Definitely worth a stop.

We were invited here for the breakfast buffet. And we were very excited. Everything is just right here. Cozy, not too loud despite the number of guests. The buffet was beautifully presented and there was nothing that was missing. And last but not least, the waitresses were super friendly and quick on their feet. All in all an attractive location. Gladly again.

Perfectly located at the Autohof on the A31 at the Rhede exit. It's great to sit in the stylish, wooden dining room, the children play in the play area and the food is impressive. From currywurst and veggie burgers to the cleverly composed pulled turkey casserole, everything is great. We tested with 8 people and everyone was happy to continue their journey. We come more often now.

We are usually very satisfied, but this time we had to wait a long time for the food and not only that the currywurst with fries had vegan beans in it that had no place in it at all.

I just stopped here to give my son a little break from the car ride. We were basically just in the play area and had a coffee ourselves. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet at least looks very tasty, but I didn't try it. The play area is very nice, especially for smaller children and in general the atmosphere is very cozy and pleasant.

What should I say? I came here by chance during a business trip, but I was totally and positively surprised. As soon as I entered I was politely asked if I could be helped. The table selection was just as quick as the menu handover. I placed the order and was surprised again: the name of the dish “Urig” said it all, a wonderful salad, fresh and crunchy with a great dressing, two small schnitzels hidden under great fried eggs, accompanied by “hand-carved” French fries. Very good quality, absolutely nothing to complain about. Finally, an espresso which was simply fun. I can only thank you for your service and definitely recommend you because the quality, performance, ambience and price are really right.

Very nice restaurant, great atmosphere...

It advertises itself as a truck stop on the highway, but on Sunday it only has coffee and cake and cute waitresses. After 5 minutes of waiting and sitting alone, we went to the counter where a worker was cleaning ladles and spoons and asked for a card. The information: "There's no hot food anymore anyway" was presented in a bad mood and after being told to leave the restaurant we were charged 1 euro for using the toilet. My reference to the misleading advertising with which we were lured in never reached the employees. It was like being in a strip club in St.Pauli. Heaven is promised outside and rip-offs inside. Just don't go there!

Today we went for Mexican & Friends dinner with the gang (10 people). A very nice restaurant, beautifully decorated and very cozy. The food was delicious, but no refills were made and therefore there was far too little for all of us. The price (€22.90 per person) is far too expensive, no one ate that per person (and it wasn't possible because there was just far too little food). Drinks and dessert are extra! The two of us paid €81.. The price is definitely not justified and that was the first and last time we ate there.. When we get home, we'll spread some bread for ourselves. 😅

Well, we were there for the Mexican evening :) Per: the ambience from A to Z... the toilets are great and clean...then the children's area is great...the food was very tasty...service was quick at first, but the busier it got, the slower it got...prices were okay...tequila was good Free (but a lot of people stopped) Cons: The food wasn't refilled, plates of food were brought with the same thing per person and half of us weren't full...Dessert and drinks cost extra...We weren't asked for dessert and only had dessert Waited exactly half an hour

We were here for breakfast with 10 adults and two children. It's a very nice restaurant. There are plenty of free parking spaces directly in front. The restaurant is also well suited for guests with limited freedom of movement. There was enough space between the table groups to make it easy to get to the breakfast buffet anywhere. There is a great candy bar and a play area for the kids. There were lots of nice treats for your physical well-being. We are happy to recommend it. Reservation needed.

Great atmosphere, unfortunately there was a large company for breakfast. Nevertheless there was something for breakfast. There is still room for improvement.

We've been there 5 or 6 times now and have always enjoyed it. The food is super tasty, there is something for almost every taste and the prices are reasonable. The ambience is not as stylish as some would like, but we always feel comfortable there. The staff has always been in a good mood so far. We'll stop there again the next time we drive on the A 31.

Currywurst with fries is highly recommended but without currywurst and without a side salad. You would have to pay an extra €1 for mayonnaise... but the food came for €12.90. And it's not a star restaurant!!! And that's how it tasted too!!!

There is an unusual menu here, but that's a positive thing. We chose special fries dishes. Once with red cabbage and pulled poultry. The other dish was fries with grilled vegetables and cheese. Both very tasty. The guest room is cozy and nicely decorated. The service is friendly and dogs are also welcome here. We were completely satisfied.

We were very surprised to find such a nice restaurant at a truck stop. Nice service, nice atmosphere. The cake was delicious. There was even a live band playing.

I tried the burger evening with friends. The selection is great, but unfortunately we were all a bit disappointed with the patties. Given the price (+- 20 euros per burger with fries) we expected a little better meat. Then we were also disappointed with dessert: three of us ordered one, the first one came relatively quickly and the other two had to wait almost half an hour for it despite repeated requests. We didn't think it was that great, especially the fact that dessert wasn't brought at the same time and one of us had to eat alone... Basically, longer waiting times aren't a problem, but it's better to just let us know and then hand over the dessert together. Personally, I wouldn't have to eat a burger there anymore for the price-performance ratio. But I would give everything else another chance if necessary.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with 30 guests in the Rhederei under the motto: Spanish evening. Our summary is positive in all areas. It was beautifully decorated, the food was very good and the service anyway. We had an unforgettable evening and satisfied guests .Thank you very much

Everything is just right here :) Great atmosphere, tasteful furnishings, very good service, delicious food (price-performance ratio is absolutely right), incredibly child-friendly (large play area with ball pit, play kitchen, changing area, high chairs...), very clean, parking lot right in front of the Door and super close to the highway! We would like to come again! :)

Inzwischen waren wir mehrmals dort und werden beim nächsten Nordseetrip wieder bei euch einkehren. Danke nochmal ans Personal
