Die Optik des Essen war so vielversprechend wie die Empfehlung und die gepflegte Wirtschaft und der schöne Biergarten! Der sehr freundliche Besitzer, übernimmt den Service selbst. Leider war das Cordon Bleu zu trocken und in der Fritteuse aufgebacken. 😥 Das schmeckt man... Die Spätzle sind aus der Tüte und die Convenience-Soße wurde mit frischen Champions aufgepeppt. In Summe 'ok', doch für den Preis (18,90€) grenzwertig. Schade, hier ist mehr Potential vorhanden! 😉

Von den Rezessionen geblendet haben wir als Familie den Weg hierher gefunden. Das Restaurant war leer. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste. Angefangen bei der „Flädlesuppe“ welche nach Spülwasser schmeckte (stehen lassen) bis hin zu den hochgelobten Maultaschen (2 kleine Maultaschen aus der Packung) mit Tütensoße und kalten Röstzwiebeln für 16 € So schlecht habe ich seit Jahren nicht gegessen. Der Name und die Rezessionen lassen wirklich mehr erwarten als man bekommt. Kartenzahlung nicht möglich, kein Kassenzettel erhalten.

Das Essen war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Preis-Leistung war gut. Der Service war ebenfalls sehr freundlich, wir kommen gerne wieder

Sonderwünsche werden gerne berücksichtigt, und auch für Kinder oder größere Gruppen wird stets eine gute Lösung gefunden. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und zugleich stilvoll – perfekt für einen entspannten Abend zu zweit, ein Essen mit Freunden oder auch für besondere Anlässe. Besonders empfehlenswert ist der Spargel mit Lachs und Sauce Hollandaise – ein absolutes Highlight der Saison! Frisch zubereitet, perfekt auf den Punkt gegart und geschmacklich einfach hervorragend. Man schmeckt die Qualität der Zutaten und die Liebe zum Detail. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne und können den Mohren nur wärmstens empfehlen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team – bitte weiter so!

Natürlich seid ihr als Gastronomen nicht besonders ehrlich: Ihr habt zwei (oder vielleicht sogar mehr) negative Bewertungen gelöscht und nur die „positiven“ stehen lassen. Mein Rat: Verbessert euch und senkt die Preise für das Silvestermenü (es gab Leute, die sich beschwert haben, und ihr habt die Kritik euch gegenüber einfach dreist gelöscht!).

The previous owners were very good and better organized. Now it's not an option; I'd rather cook at home so I know what's on my plate.

One star is too much, service was abysmal, cash only, no invoice received

I went there yesterday, New Year's Eve, with my boyfriend and his parents. I'm Italian and I know a lot about the quality of good food. First of all, the menu was extremely limited: only five or six dishes, nothing more. The portions were mediocre, but the prices were far too high. The croquettes were clearly frozen supermarket fare! A dish with fried turkey cutlets and ten croquettes cost €20–22. In Italy, you can get a dish like that for €12–13—and not even in a restaurant, but in a regular pub. We also asked for ketchup for the fries, and surprise, surprise: it was charged extra! Absolutely not recommended, I definitely won't be coming back. 100% not recommended!

This was the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The food was poor quality, there was no dessert service in the evening, and the prices are very high. To make things even worse, they charge an entrance fee (10€) which is absurd—I have never seen that before. Everything was bad. What a pity. I went there because ChatGPT showed this restaurant as open, and I didn’t know how bad it.

My first review... December 26th. Christmas dinner with the family. Unfortunately, it didn't work out this time. They had a special Christmas menu with very ambitious pricing compared to the quality. Children's schnitzel with fries €17.90 Pork schnitzel with fries €27.90 Roast beef with onions approx. €30 Grill platter approx. €30 20 guests and 20 dissatisfied customers. There was hardly anything left at the salad bar. It wasn't replenished, even though we had a reservation. Neither carrots nor cucumber salad, etc., were available. The children's schnitzels were tiny. A small children's schnitzel with (homemade) fries. The schnitzel was very bland, completely lacking salt or pepper. No sauce, ketchup only after asking. The 7-year-old was still hungry afterward (we'll go to McDonald's or something on the way back, I'm still hungry...). The onion roast beef was sliced ​​very thinly. Instead of medium, it was well-done (which is also very difficult with such a thin cut). The gravy was watery, as if they had diluted enough for five portions to serve 20 people. The fries were lukewarm and not even remotely crispy. The croquettes were lukewarm. For those who still managed to get croquettes... they were unfortunately sold out. The salmon was far too well-done and bone dry. The mixed grill was cold and tough. No sauces or dips were included. My father-in-law couldn't even cut through a piece of meat. The knife was no match for the meat...🥺 All this at inflated Christmas prices with virtually no service. They took our drink order once. After that, they stopped. If you wanted anything else, you had to go to the bar. That's no way to make a profit. Card payments weren't accepted, and you had to go to the bar to pay. On the positive side: Nicely decorated. The staff were quite friendly. Unfortunately, we haven't worked as waiters anywhere else before.

Overall, very disappointing. Here are some impressions: - Waited over 90 minutes for our food on Christmas Day (okay, it was a full house... but no word from the kitchen). - Service was very, very poor: hardly any German skills, individual requests were noted but not fulfilled, one round of drinks was ordered and then no further inquiry was made, orders were executed incorrectly. - The food was really not good. The quality of the roast beef was substandard. Medium-rare at best, only cooked in the middle; otherwise, it was leathery. The caramelized onions, however, were excellent. - The "no card payments" sign didn't exactly inspire confidence. - The Christmas menu was significantly more expensive than usual. This made the entire visit a huge disappointment. We definitely won't be coming back.

Das die Speisekarte bietet solide Klassiker zu einem fairen Preis. Der Service war freundlich und unser Essen kam zügig. Was Motel man mehr?

We ate here with about 20 people. It's understandable that the ordering and service took a bit longer – that would have been okay. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing: My Jägerschnitzel was dry, barely seasoned, and swimming in watery sauce, and the accompanying spaetzle were sloppy and inedible – many at the table left them. The rest of the dishes were fine, but the potato salad tasted strongly of mustard. The service left a lot to be desired: no one came after the meal, plates weren't cleared, drinks weren't asked for, and we had to pay at the counter. Overall, unfortunately, not a restaurant we would return to.

We were here for Dinner with friends. The location is nice. We had salad as starter. All good. Fresh and delicious. I had pork steak with mushrooms and Spätzle. Everything was cooked to the point. Quality of food was excellent. But: The Spätzle were lacking enough salt when cooked. Quite tasteless. Also no salt on the Jägerschnitzel. No creamey sauce, just watery something that was around the mushrooms. The we requested Bratensoße. Again something that was tasteless and full of water. The waitress removed the last empty glass before we left. Improvement required. Don't know if the right cook had his free day, but this was a clear message to not come again.

I always enjoyed going there and always ordered the small portion of Maultaschen. I recently returned with the same order. First, the portion came with meat and the wrong sauce, even though I had ordered vegetarian – no apology. After a few minutes, the requested vegetarian version arrived, but as a large portion – no apology. The highlight was the bill: a large portion was charged, plus extra sauce, none of which was mentioned beforehand – and again, no apology. Bottom line: unfortunately, the customer is not (or no longer is) king here, and I won't be coming back. Truly disappointing!

Auf der Durchreise diesen Landgasthof per Google entdeckt. Angenehmer Außenbereich, freundlich zugewandter junger Kellner und top Essen. Gut angerichtet, auch für's Auge. Frisch schmackhaft der Salat und die hausgemachten Maultaschen so sehr lecker. Waren absolut zufrieden.

We went to eat at Mohren last night. We were greeted by a young lady who approached my wife in a completely aggressive manner and tried to grab her hair. This scared my wife completely because she was afraid of a wasp. We were unable to find out what the young lady actually wanted because of her poor German skills. We first ordered three drinks: a Radler, a Lileet Wild Berry and a Sprite. What arrived was a white wine, a Russ and indeed a Sprite. After complaining about the wine, the server brought us a glass of Wild Berry lemonade - without Lillet. When the nice colleague took the food, we complained about the Lillet and he said he would take care of it - and that was that. We ordered food: a Flädlesuppe, Zwiebelrostbraten with fried potatoes instead of Spätzle, Cordon Bleu with fries instead of Spätzle and a small mixed salad as well as a crispy turkey schnitzel, expressly with cream sauce. First came the salad, unfortunately we didn't have any cutlery. After another request, cutlery arrived, but each piece came from a different cutlery series. We really enjoyed the salad. Then came the pancake soup, which was OK. My roast beef came as ordered, but was still a little bloody. I like that, but I was never asked how cooked it was. The cordon bleu came with spaetzle swimming in gravy. They looked as if they had been cut up for a small child. But we ordered fries. The turkey schnitzel came without sauce, although it had been ordered with cream sauce. After another complaint, we got a jug of gravy (not cream sauce) and fries without salt. Instead, there were large lumps of salt sprinkled on the cordon bleu and the turkey schnitzel. My wife choked so hard on one of these lumps of salt that she had to cough for minutes. I also cannot understand the culinary approach here. At the end of the checkout, they graciously waived the "extra" fries and gravy. We had to pay €6.50 for the Lillet Wild Berry without Lillet. It was a real shame; the food is good quality, but the service staff has significant weaknesses. We will refrain from visiting again. Unfortunately, we didn't see the friendly owners described in most reviews.

Can't beat the hospitality. Specially opened because I was walking and got stranded in the small village. Freshly cooked, everything was delicious. Solid furnishings and see above - here the guest is emperor!!!

We had April 5th yesterday. In 2025 from 5 p.m. a family celebration on the occasion of my 70th birthday! We were 19 people, including 3 children! It was a wonderful sociable evening, we had agreed on a small menu with soup, salad, onion roast, cordon bleu, and also trout fillet as well as various desserts, the food was very good all around, the table decoration was appropriate and nicely prepared! The staff, from the boss to the service, are very competent and friendly - I can only recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back 👍full marks

Went there for dinner today on Sunday around 5 p.m. It was really great. Wit had Flädlesuppe and Schwabenteller. Nothing out of the bag (convinience). Everything freshly cooked. If you like good German cuisine, you've come to the right place.

Today we had a very spontaneous lunch at Mohren. Anyone who leaves the restaurant without the five has a different problem. Zander fillet, butter vegetables and boiled potatoes, beautifully and lovingly garnished. M.M. It doesn't get much better than this for lunch. Thanks alot. We'd love to come back

We've had lunch at Mohren several times now and I can only recommend it, the service is very friendly and we cook with fresh ingredients, and there's nothing to complain about in terms of price either. We were definitely not here for the last time.

It is currently run by very nice owners who personally cook the food. It tastes really fantastic, the portions are quite large and it is beautifully prepared (the eye eats too). Price-performance is really great!

Were there for the first time, after renovation and change of tenant. Very good location with German cuisine. Staff and owner, very friendly. Every guest is noticed as they come and go. It is positive that the menu continues with Swabian. Food comes quickly and is warm. Sauces are still made in-house and not simply from packets. Staff tries very hard to satisfy guests. Despite the old furnishings, it is very clean, even at this time of year there are fresh flowers at the table. Staff is very open to questions. There's daily meals. Salad was very fresh with lots of greens. Keep it up. Come again. The place is an enrichment for GündRINGen and the surrounding area.

Sehr gute Schwäbische Speisen vor allem die Fleisch Qualität und die Verarbeitung , auch die Maultaschen sind der Hammer wie zu Omas Zeiten, sowie die Salatsoßen sind toll. Es fehlt noch eine E-Mail Adresse zum Anschreiben.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Bodenständige, ehrliche Küche. Habe schon mehrfach dort gegessen und auch meine Kunden eingeladen, das Feedback war stets positiv. Auch das to go Essen in der Corona Zeit ist super lecker. Ich wünsche dem Team das es nach dieser Zeit wieder wie gewohnt öffnen kann, ich werde ganz sicher wieder kommen.

Wir waren mitte Juli 2020 für 1Nacht zu Gast. Uns wurde die Unterkunft empfohlen. Und das zurecht. 🙂 4 Männer die einen ganzen Tag Umzugskartons und Möbel schleppen erwarten eigentlich nicht mehr viel am Abend. Aber der Empfang war herzlich und nett, unsere Zimmer und die Bäder sauber, das Essen was wir am Abend im Biergarten genießen durften war super lecker und man wurde satt. Die Bedienung war flink und hat uns am Abend ausdauernd Nachschub gebracht. Leckeres Radler, Bier und Schnaps 😉😉😉. Das Frühstücksbüffett am Morgen war dann außerdem noch vielseitig und ausreichend. Wir sagen nochmals DANKE für die Beherbung, Verpflegung und der Gastlichkeit durch die Chefin und der 2 Mitarbeiterinnen jeweils am Abend und am Morgen. LG aus Sachsen 😉

Wir waren gestern im wunderschönen, gemütlichen Biergarten essen. Das Essen war hervorragend. Ein liebevoll, persönlicher Tisch wurde hergerichtet und so einen Service wünscht man sich überall!
