Everything is great here, the ambience, the service and the food.

We stopped here after a trip in early July and were fortunate enough to still be able to get something to eat, as the kitchen was already closing. A large salad with chicken strips and a delicious goulash with dumplings. The portion was a bit large, but very tasty. The young waiter was very friendly and accommodating; we would definitely eat here again.

Best schnitzel in the Dresden area. I always come here for my thinly breaded schnitzel with homemade remoulade. Thank you, thank you. Best chef

Very delicious food. We had steak au four, Forsthaus schnitzel, Parmesan chicken breast with gnocchi, and pesto spaghettini.

There were 10 of us and we had a lovely outdoor seating area. The service was very attentive and courteous. The food arrived at the same time for everyone and was delicious! We'd love to come back!

The online reservation worked very well, and we received attentive and prompt service. The food also arrived fairly quickly. Parking is available in the courtyard. I'm still deducting a star because I wasn't entirely convinced by the ambiance and I wasn't 100% happy with the Forsthaus schnitzel. But we'd be happy to come back.

We were a group of six adults and one child and hadn't reserved a table. Nevertheless, another room was opened to accommodate us. This wasn't exactly expected at 11:30 a.m. on Whitsun Sunday. Thank you very much for that. The staff was very friendly, and even the littlest one had a few pens and something to color in. The food was delicious and prepared quickly. We'd love to come back!

We spontaneously stopped by the Forsthaus, received a very friendly welcome, and had a comfortable seat. The food was sensationally delicious, and the portions were especially generous. The quality was superb; you don't often find so much homemade food these days, and for that price. Excellent value for money, with a very friendly staff.

Four of us were here, and we were all thrilled. From the hassle-free table reservation to the incredibly prompt service and the incredibly delicious food. The value for money is also excellent, especially considering the portion sizes. You can even order senior citizen portions if you need them. Otherwise, I can't fault anything and I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

A great inn, you feel at home there. Beautiful decor. The staff are very polite and friendly. The menu is so extensive that it's hard to decide. Beautiful dishes, you'll definitely be full, and the food tastes absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back!

On a Friday evening with 11 people plus a dog, a place was quickly “built” for us without a reservation and we were served so nicely and the food was so tasty that we came back the next day. Great home cooking at moderate prices. We'll definitely come back.

Simply great! I had asparagus with schnitzel and hollandaise sauce - rarely eaten so well! The asparagus was perfectly cooked, the schnitzel was crispy and tender, the sauce was creamy and wonderfully seasoned. The rest of the family was also very, very happy. Plus attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. Everything is just right here – absolutely recommended!

Today we spontaneously went to the forester's house for dinner. Very comfortable and what I personally found very good was that as a couple we were in a place where we were undisturbed. The staff is very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. The food was very tasty and plentiful. I can only recommend it!

We were there on January 24th. in this restaurant for lunch. We had pre-ordered because I always have problems with my wheelchair. They said no problem, we're happy to help and that's how it was. Two strong employees were immediately on hand and three stages were managed. In the guest room, it is traditionally furnished, but not overloaded. The boss came and brought the menu and also took the drink order. The drinks came immediately. The ordered food came about 30 minutes after ordering, completely acceptable. The quality of the various dishes was excellent, freshly cooked, well presented and it tasted excellent. I chose the pyre, picture 2, rack of lamb with beans, which were served with chorizo ​​strips and onions. The meat melted in your mouth, the beans were great. Everyone was enthusiastic about this dish, whether it was sauerbraten or tongue with peas. After dessert and an espresso, I left the restaurant with the help of my two colleagues, completely satisfied with this pleasant place that is definitely worth visiting. The town of Moritzburg is always worth a visit, regardless of whether it is the hunting lodge of August the Strong, the lake with the lighthouse, the pheasantry or just the Jagdhaus restaurant, everything is worth a visit. I definitely recommend this restaurant and we will come back. Thanks to all the restaurant employees for a successful day.

Why it's not 5 stars... the reservation is only for 1.15 hours to a maximum of 1.30... a cozy meal doesn't have to be everything. Food arrives after about 20 minutes, which is okay, but you don't want to have to rush to eat with your family on the weekend.... Food was good... Staff friendly but they would definitely like to have something to drink and the bill came with the drink ... Sorry, that doesn't fit the cozy country inn

Review of the Forsthaus Moritzburg Recently my wife and I had the pleasure of dining at Forsthaus Moritzburg and we absolutely loved it! The restaurant not only offers a wonderful ambience, but also excellent service and delicious food - a real highlight after a beautiful day at the nearby Moritzburg Castle. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. From the first moment we felt welcome and well looked after. The waitress took the time to explain the menu to us and was always available to help and advise if we had any questions. The service was always attentive throughout the meal without being intrusive - exactly right! The ambience in the Forsthaus is perfect for a relaxing evening. The rustic, cozy interior fits perfectly with the surroundings and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The wooden details and the stylish furnishings make you immediately feel at home here. It was particularly nice to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view of the surrounding nature. About the food: We loved it! The dishes are freshly prepared and of high quality. The selection on the menu is varied and offers both regional specialties and international classics. We both chose the seasonal dishes, which were perfectly balanced and tasted delicious. We would particularly like to highlight the preparation of the meat dishes, which were cooked to perfection. The side dishes rounded off the meal wonderfully. The prices are absolutely justified considering the quality and service. The Forsthaus Moritzburg definitely offers good value for money, and in such a great location. Conclusion: We can recommend the Forsthaus Moritzburg without reservation. It was a wonderful end to a lovely day at the castle and we will definitely be back to try more delicacies. An absolute must for anyone traveling in the area!

We were in this wonderful restaurant for the first time today. All I can say is if there were 10 stars I would give it 10. Everything was so welcoming and warm, the staff including the boss were super nice and accommodating and the food was a dream. Soljanka, tomato soup, carp in a crispy crust, pike-perch fillet, beef tongue, spagettini pesto. Price performance absolutely top. WE'LL DEFINITELY LIKE TO COME BACK. THANK YOU.

We were in the forester's lodge again and, as always, very satisfied. The baked carp was very tasty and the game dishes were excellent as always. The service ensures that you feel completely comfortable and that you don't sit in front of empty glasses. The ambience corresponds to the name, rustic furnishings with attention to detail.

Nice restaurant with German cuisine and Saxon specialties, centrally located in Moritzburg. Discovered it by chance on Sunday afternoon and actually managed to get a seat. Although it was busy, we didn't have to wait long to order or be served. The food was delicious, the prices were reasonable.

Es war alles lecker. Nette Angestellte. Das Ambiente 👌passt zum Namen.Sehr zu empfehlen.Macht weiter so.

A good German restaurant with many meat dishes. Unfortunately, the pasta with pesto was far too oily and the chicken with parmesan was too salty. However, the fish was very tasty and the goose leg also tasted good.
