A very nice hotel with excellent service. All requests were promptly addressed and the food was very good. I had butterfish, which was cooked to perfection. Highly recommended.

My wife and I, along with friends, dined at the Gasthof Die Krone for the first time last Saturday. We were all absolutely thrilled. The location is fantastic. The historic building has been beautifully renovated and is definitely worth seeing. The food (fish) was also superb. It was presented perfectly, very tasty, and absolutely worth the price. And the service was excellent. Exceptionally friendly and competent staff. You can tell that the Stocker family loves what they do. We will definitely be back.

Halloween at the Gasthof Die Krone in Hessental. A top-notch culinary and entertaining evening. The menu was quite delicious, true craftsmanship, and beautifully presented. Both palate and eyes were equally delighted. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. The location exudes the charm of centuries past. It was, as so often before, a lovely evening in a traditional inn with very tasty food.

After our first leg of the Kocher-Jagst Cycle Path, we arrived at the Hotel Die Krone. The climb from the cycle path to the hotel was quite challenging, but manageable with an e-bike. A cyclist without a motor, however, has to pedal quite hard. Arriving at the hotel, we immediately felt warmly welcomed. It only reopened a few months ago, and the new owners impress with their friendliness, courtesy, and humor. You can tell they put their heart and soul into their hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and stylishly furnished; the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom in the room was also large, clean, and equipped with a window for ventilation. The breakfast was plentiful, and refills (coffee, butter) were free. All in all, our stay here was very pleasant, and I wish the owners much success in the future.

The menu offers a nice selection of dishes. The service is attentive and very friendly. The ambiance is modern and cozy. The dishes served are visually appealing, freshly prepared, and taste excellent. Prices are fair. A definite recommendation!

We had reserved a table for the family and received a very warm welcome. The food was excellent, the service attentive and friendly. The children also enjoyed it immensely. The wine selection was fine and fitting. All in all, a wonderful evening – absolutely recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were delighted to hear the news that our formerly highly acclaimed conference hotel, with its excellent restaurant and hotel, reopened under new management in April of this year. And back in family hands! Excellent food in a wonderful ambiance and pleasant atmosphere! Culinary excellence. We ate the corn-fed poulard and the plaice, which were indescribably good. The same goes for the spicy salad and the semolina dumpling soup. We will be hearing many more good things from the dedicated Stocker family. A gem in the culinary Hohenlohe region. And great rooms.

Overnight stay from May 16th to 17th, 2025, as a solo traveler on a bike (Kocher-Jagst cycle path). Well-kept hotel with a venerable history. Dignity emanates from every pore of the generous architecture, I can't say it any other way. Well-kept, clean, and attractive single room, with a renovated bathroom and quiet even with the window open. Swabian quality, that's it :-) The staff was extremely professional, courteous, helpful, and friendly, but never intrusive. Hospitality at its finest. Since I (unintentionally) arrived before check-in time (4 p.m.), I was served a latte in the secluded garden—despite the staff being on room service during hours. It was generously given to me! What a lovely surprise; I was very touched. The next morning, I briefly admired the venerable former ballroom (?). An interior design gem. A journey back in time to silk and corsets, silver and chandeliers, horse-drawn carriages and pocket watches, evening parties and smoking rooms. I can wholeheartedly recommend this inn. I would return anytime because, even as a solo traveler, I felt welcome and treated with respect. It couldn't be better. Highly recommended.

There were five of us eating there. Even with ordering, they were inflexible and relatively unfriendly. We had to wait a very long time for our dishes. The plaice fillet (not a prime fish) came with one cherry tomato and a few radishes and small potatoes. We also had to wait a long time for dessert (ice cream). The fish, at €28.50, is completely overpriced. This was our last time there.

Exceptionally friendly and always helpful staff! The food was excellent, and the roast beef was cooked to perfection. The chef and his team deserve special mention for their impeccable craftsmanship. Highly recommended location with exceptional, delicious food.

We were there for lunch with our family. A group of five. The ambiance is, as expected, homely, clean, inviting, tidy, and bright. The food is rather mediocre and doesn't quite match the price. The service was always polite, but unfortunately (despite low occupancy) was inattentive and lacked proper etiquette (e.g., throwing food and drinks across the table and passing other people's plates). All in all, rather average.

We had dinner last week. The service and food were top-notch. The salmon tartare was fantastic; one small suggestion for improvement would be to perhaps add a slice of baguette or the delicious bread chips with the salad. The quail and pearl barley risotto was divine. We'll definitely be back. Our dog was welcome too, and he was given something to drink straight away.

I came from North Rhine-Westphalia as a guest for a wedding party. That's why I can only rate the restaurant. Very friendly and competent staff. The table was beautifully decorated, as befits a wedding dinner. When my 7-year-old and a 5-year-old from our group didn't touch the starter, the waiter immediately asked if the children would like to eat fries. The food was extremely tasty and the dessert (creme brüllee with vanilla ice cream) was a real highlight. So conclusion: keep it up. Gladly again.......

Don't know what made me think of this place, but my first experience was in June of 1985 when I arrived on duty at the former US army Air Base. It was one of my first experiences with German cuisine and it quickly became my favorite place to dine in Hessental. I haven't been back since the late 1980's, but judging by the pictures and reviews, you can't go wrong by stopping in.

Very beautiful historic hotel. Modern rooms. Staff extremely friendly and very helpful. I was able to discuss the breakfast menu with the server (weekend). Food was excellent. I just wanted a quick bite to eat once. The waitress made suggestions. Great. I also liked that the dishes always came with an extra sauce. I'll be back.

Great food with a nice atmosphere and good service. Varied menu. Dessert selection changes regularly as well as vegetarian/vegan dishes. I'd love to come back.

Taste good. However, the very small roulade, the few croquettes and 2 tablespoons of vegetables didn't fill us up.

Friendly staff and clean rooms. However, I had a bad experience on hot days because the rooms weren't equipped with air conditioning.

Since reopening, my wife and I have now been to the Krone twice and we are very impressed with the offering, the rooms, the food and drinks and the attentive service. Everything is consistent and the prices are affordable. I can only warmly recommend the crown.

Als Gast einer Hochzeitsfeier durfte ich die schöne Location kennenlernen. Ein sehr schönes Ambiente mit noch besserer Bewirtung und ebenfalls sehr leckerem Essen. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sauber und ordentlich,quasi wie Zuhause. Ganz klare 5 Sterne Manch einer der Angestellten könnten etwas mehr lächeln,aber an solch einem anstrengenden Arbeitstag darf man mehr als nur Nachsichtig sein,ist eine Hochzeit doch eine extreme Anstrengung für alle. Für jeden einen klare Besuchsempfehlung. Vielen Dank für den tollen Tag.
