Biker ACHTUNG eure EBike Batterien dürft ihr hier nicht zwischenladen . Laut Eigentümer ist der Strom zu teuer und wenn er das einmal erlaubt ,hat er nachher alle Steckdosen belegt.Wir sind zum nächsten Gasthaus auf dem Sonnenberg gefahren, und haben nach dem Essen auch gerne ein Trinkgeld gegeben und konnten die Akkus auch aufladen Es grüßt Euch Ria und Roland

Ich war kurzfristig zum Essen im Restaurant und hatte eine sehr aufmerksame Servicekraft, die mich liebevoll umsorgt hat, mir auch noch für den nächsten Abend einen Tisch im kleinen aber exklusiven Biergarten reserviert hat, und mich mich mit einem extrem leckeren Rindertartar und einer wahnsinnigen Schokofane Creme Brûlée verwöhnt hat - ein inspirierendes Erlebnis im Allgäu sehr zu empfehlen

Hier merkt man sofort echtes Können und langjährige Erfahrung in der gehobenen Gastronomie. Jedes Gericht ist qualitativ hochwertig, geschmacklich hervorragend abgestimmt und mit viel handwerklichem Know-how zubereitet. Der Service ist aufmerksam, professionell und gleichzeitig herzlich. In der Traube treffen traditionelle, feinbürgerliche Küche und eine stilvolle Atmosphäre auf eine angenehme und unkomplizierte Art zusammen. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Das Essen war insgesamt sehr gut und von ordentlicher Qualität. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der leckere Beilagensalat und das Kalbsragout. Die Portionen waren gut, allerdings hätte es bei den Beilagen – insbesondere bei den Knödeln – gerne einen mehr geben dürfen. Das Kalbsschnitzel war ebenfalls gut zubereitet. Man sollte jedoch beachten, dass das Fleisch sehr dünn ist und die Panade einen ausgeprägten Eigengeschmack hat – das ist sicherlich Geschmackssache. Der Service war spitze: aufmerksam, freundlich und stets präsent. Auch das Ambiente überzeugt auf ganzer Linie – sehr schick und hochwertig gestaltet. Preislich liegt das Restaurant etwas im oberen Bereich, was jedoch zur gebotenen Qualität passt. Insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung für einen weiteren Besuch.

Haben hier ein sehr schönes und äußerst leckeres Abendessen genossen. Die Speisen waren von höchster Qualität, der Service sehr freundlich und die Preise sind dem Essen angemessen. Wir kommen gerne wieder 😊

Wir waren zum Valentinstags-Menü essen dort und beide sehr zufrieden. Hatte vorab vegetarischer 3-Gang für mich und normaler 3-Gang angekündigt beim Tisch reservieren und es war einfach köstlich! Tolles Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung, wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend bei Euch 😊

Sehr gutes Essen und sehr nette Bedienung

Wir hatten dort reserviert für den 25. Dezember zum Mittagstisch. Positiv: leckeres Essen und schöne Lokalität! Zwei Sterne Abzug gibt es für: vom Ankommen bis zur Hauptspeise mussten wir leider 1 Stunde und 20 Minuten warten, was für ein reserviertes Mittagessen deutlich zu lang ist.

Wir waren am Montag dort- eigentlich zufällig, weil alles andere zu hatte. Wir waren begeistert. Mega tolles leckeres Essen. Schönes modernes, aber warmes Ambiente. Und sehr netter, freundlicher und flotter Service. Besser geht nicht: 1*

Auf dem Weg nach Oberstaufen hier zu mittag gegessen. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und gemütliche Gaststube! Das Essen war vorzüglich!

Sehr schön gestalteter Gasthof, modernes und altes gekonnt kombiniert. Das Essen war super lecker. Wir wollen zuerst nur eine Suppe essen, haben das Lokal dann aber nach Suppe plus Hauptspeise und Nachtisch verlassen, da alles so gut war. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Zufällig kamen wir nach Weiler-Simmerberg ein schöner Ort und ein wunderschönes Haus im Zentrum. Alles war tadellos, sehr netter Service, klasse Küche! Hier versteht jemand sein Handwerk. Bitte ganz lange genau so weitermachen!

We ended up at the Traube quite by chance, trying to get three seats at a restaurant in Weiler on a Saturday evening without a reservation. There was exactly one table left, but the friendly service was honest and warned us of the expected wait. But it was worth it! The ambiance was quieter and more modern than in nearby breweries, the menu more imaginative, and the food very tasty – starting with the salad dressing in the mixed salad. We only found out afterward that we were dining with Michelin-starred chef Christian Grundl! Regardless of whether he was actually in the kitchen, you could taste the quality his name stands for. And at prices that weren't in the stars. Next time we're in the area again, we already know where we'll eat – but we'll make a reservation!

Once again, I had a delicious meal at the Traube. I highly recommend this restaurant and its host to everyone.

High quality, a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Today was my first time here for lunch, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The soup of the day was delicious and got things off to a perfect start. The recommended lunch dish with dumplings, pork, and mushrooms was absolutely delicious—a truly successful combination. Unfortunately, I didn't try dessert this time because I was already quite full, but I'll definitely treat myself to it on my next visit.

Great restaurant. We particularly liked the menu selection. The food was excellent, and the service was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and is tastefully decorated. We'd love to come back.

I ended up at Zur Traube by chance, as there aren't many options in and around Lindenberg on Mondays. I quickly checked online to see who was open, but only looked at the online menu without doing any further research – my father only discovered later that we were enjoying an evening with a Michelin-starred chef. The ambiance is very nice and a successful combination of old and new. The beautiful candle holders in a gold setting, the vibrantly lit flower in a narrow vase, and the beautiful wooden cutlery rests. Add to that the very friendly service, who frequently asked if I needed anything else. And finally, the most important information: All the dishes were delicious. Starting with the simple mixed salad, which was garnished with a very fine dressing. The goat cheese was also not just a feast for the eyes: beautifully arranged with fine pickled figs, red onions, and crunchy walnuts. The veal Maultaschen were equally delicious, and the accompanying potato salad was neatly presented. The Schlutzkrapfen (a kind of dumpling filled with leaf spinach, served in sage butter and delicately garnished with Parmesan cheese) were also delicious. The icing on the cake was the delicious dessert combination of raspberry cream, sorrel ice cream, and white chocolate foam. All three were delicious to the palate and the eye – the sorrel ice cream, however, was amazing. There are no pictures. However, the other reviews visually reflect everything accurately.

We visited the Traube with our two young children and had a wonderful evening. The service was very attentive and fulfilled all our wishes, which is often not so easy with children. The food was excellently prepared. The wines by the glass also appealed to us. It's just a shame that we live 600 km away, so our next visit will have to wait. Thank you for a wonderful evening! Even the children ate better than they've had in a long time. ;-)

Stuffed quail is rare, and rarely as successful as here. The taste, creativity, and quality are of the highest order, no matter what you order. Friendly and attentive service, with plenty to do. Finally, an alternative to the Stöckeler in Scheidegg that clearly surpasses it. Highly recommended.

A master chef + passionate service = a clear top recommendation. Whether you choose a set menu or a la carte, you can taste the star chef without it feeling pretentious. For us, a perfect symbiosis of top-class culinary art and Allgäu rurality. Add to that gastronomy with attitude: fries are prohibited for adults, how cool is that!!!!! So if you want to treat your palate and be a little surprised by the flavors that can be created from high-quality (regional) ingredients, then this is the place for you. The Arctic char with wasabi mayo, beetroot, and lime vinaigrette was a cool, innovative blend of flavors. The braised beef shoulder was so tender it practically jumps onto your fork. But classics like the Wiener Schnitzel (veal!!!!!) with lukewarm potato salad are also a solid 10!!! Add to that the super professional, friendly, and never intrusive service... and you have a successful restaurant visit in the countryside. Keep it up, and from today on you'll have two more regulars...

We actually just wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather with a hearty meal in the beer garden. Our expectations were completely different... The prices alone should have made it clear to us that this wasn't your average restaurant, but it wasn't... and so we were all the more surprised by our very creatively presented meal, which was truly superb!! delicious, although the portions could have been a bit larger. The service was prompt and super friendly. We'll definitely be back! Next time, knowing we'll be able to enjoy fine dining (perhaps with larger portions ;-)

A small menu, a modern ambiance, and high prices raise certain expectations... The service could be more responsive to guests. Even small adjustments to the side dishes are only accepted with reluctance, even though both (potato salad and French fries) are offered on the menu. The Wiener Schnitzel was unfortunately a bit overcooked, which resulted in it being a bit dry around the edges. However, for just under €30, you'd expect more.

Unfortunately it was not possible for an older person to order a schnitzel with fries. Only children get something like this here! It's a shame that customers' wishes are not taken into account here. The prices are high, the food is manageable but tasty..

Never again, we went there for dinner as a family and everything was terrible. The Wiener Schnitzel is actually top notch but you can get this better in any furniture store. BREADING neither golden yellow nor crispy, in the potato salad too many disgusting onions, 500 wasps around us, furniture and ambience from the 60s. The service was snooty and annoyed. One user described it aptly: Anyone who talks like that has to deliver.

Meine Eltern und wir wollten an einem ,Sonntag ,spätnachmittags gegen 18 H im HOCHGELOBTEN Restaurant etwas essen , zwei mal ",,KÖNIGSKLASSE" Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelsalat und zwei mal FÜR DIE Männer Reh mit irgendwas. Die Chefin in schwarzer Polyesterhose, genervt, hunderte Wespen um uns herum , der Betonboden aus den 60 iger, alles in allem enttäuschend. Aber unser Schnitzel war das totale ,DESASTER ,!! Der Kartoffelsalat war aus unserer Meinung aus der falschen Kartoffelsorte gemacht / keine DITTA / und die Zwiebel waren zu heftig, weder leicht angebraten noch gewässert. Das Schnitzel war nicht duftend buttrig, leicht gewellt und rösch, sondern einfach nur lieblos auf den Teller geknallt. So bitte nicht, wer so das Maul aufreißt , und dann nicht liefert ist bei uns unten durch.

Very long waiting time of an hour for the main course. When asked about the waiting time, the waitress only responded moderately apologetically with "if you could always judge it that way." The quality of the food was good overall, but we would choose a different restaurant in the future due to the service and waiting time, especially on a special occasion like this evening.

March 2025: visit for two to the Traube in Weiler. nice location and great service... atmosphere as expected in a historic property. the kitchen? For my taste, it's a GREAT CINEMA! (probably the best roulade in the world & crème brûlée).

Ate very tasty, definitely again at any time. Afterwards, because we were so pleasantly surprised, we researched who was cooking like that. We were happy to have found the chef again who had impressed us elsewhere a few years ago.

We (4 adults, 1 child) have now been here for lunch for the fourth time, and the food was once again delicious. The menu is varied and varied. There's a separate children's menu and art supplies for children. Since this has been a topic in some previous reviews, we don't think the portions are too small. We look forward to our next visit!

Very very good food and great service

Here you can bring anything with you, just not hungry. The delicious dishes here are not meant to be eaten, but rather, as we say, to be tried. The fact that the prices are correspondingly high should have made us suspicious. But as the saying goes, "a gift horse......" It's nice to have experienced it, but it certainly won't be my restaurant.

Small but very good inn. On Sunday the restaurant closes at 7:30 p.m. and the rest days are Tuesday and Wednesday. The map is benignly manageable. We think that's very good. This means that the kitchen and the staff still enjoy cooking, which you can feel and taste with enthusiasm. The food is really good. Absolutely great. There, people still cook and serve with love for their job. Thank you very much for that. We'll be regulars, for sure.

Aufgrund einer Empfehlung dort gewesen und diese Empfehlung kann ich nur uneingeschränkte weitergeben. Der gemütliche offene Gastraum lädt dazu ein zu versacken, bei tollem Wein und super Essen. Ein aufmerksamer und guter Service rundet das ganze perfekt ab.

You can't give enough stars. The New Year's Eve menu was a hit. (It fits 🎇🎉😄) The culinary conclusion of 2024 was simply stunningly good. Every single bite is complete enjoyment! Klar, die Portionen sind nicht wirklich richtig groß. Man braucht schon z. B. eine Vorspeise, eine Hauptspeise und ein Dessert für einen richtig gelungenen Abend. Aber ist ist m. M. auch sehr ok. Die Speisen an sich sind äußerst gelungen, von hoher Qualität und mit Liebe und vor allen Dingen auch mit Sachverstand zubereitet. Dazu das freundliche Personal im dezent dekorierten Gastraum. Im Sommer sitzt es sich sehr schön im angrenzenden kleinen Biergarten. Gerne immer wieder!

Wir wissen, dass Küchenchef Christian Grundl sehr gut kocht. Als wir hörten, dass er im Juli 2024 die Traube in Weiler übernommen hat, mussten wir natürlich vorbeikommen. An einem wunderschönen Herbsttag saßen wir mittags im Garten und ließen uns von Sarah vom Service verwöhnen. Das Essen war hervorragend und wunderschön angerichtet. Die Karte sieht auf den ersten Blick nach gehobener süddeutscher bürgerlicher Küche aus, es gibt aber auch Vorspeisen wie Pulpo auf Kürbis mit Kichererbsen und Feta. Die Portionen sind perfekt, um mehrere Gänge essen zu können. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis halten wir bei der gebotenen hervorragenden Qualität für mehr als angemessen. Wir können die Traube sehr empfehlen und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder!

We know that chef Christian Grundl cooks very well. When we heard that he was taking over the Traube in Weiler in July 2024, of course we had to come by. On a beautiful autumn day we sat in the garden at lunchtime and let Sarah pamper us from the service. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. At first glance, the menu looks like upscale southern German bourgeois cuisine, but there are also starters such as pulpo on pumpkin with chickpeas and feta. The portions are perfect for eating several courses. We consider the price-performance ratio to be more than reasonable given the excellent quality offered. We can highly recommend the grape and will definitely come back!

Yesterday I was a guest at the Gasthaus zur Traube for the first, but certainly not the last, time. The staff is extremely friendly and the guest's special requests are fulfilled to their complete satisfaction. In my opinion, the ambience is well done because the rustic and modern are very well coordinated here. The menu is very creative and when you read it you notice that the focus is on fresh regional and sensitive cuisine. Classic dishes become an upscale culinary experience under the influence of modern elements. Foodie palates will not be disappointed. It would also be nice to have a few selected dishes for children on the menu. All I can say is the conclusion: The innkeeper sets a new standard and a new level of quality in the Allgäu. You can literally feel that a master of his craft is still cooking here and wants to enchant the guests with love and passion. Craft par excellence! Please keep it up!!! Thanks for the nice time

Very nicely renovated old inn with now a very good restaurant. For me it is one of the best in the Allgäu. Great food, really nice, very good dishes. Extensive wine list with a very good selection of open wines. It's also nice to sit in the garden area and the service is also excellent. Absolutely recommended.

Great cuisine at a high level with creative interpretations from the kitchen! Attractively arranged plates with beautiful, simple accessories. There were also special requests for the little ones taken into account, so everyone was thrilled! We really enjoyed it and will definitely be coming back regularly! Kleine Gaststube und freundliches Personal! Es gibt eine überschaubare, kleine Karte. Das Essen ist ausgewählt und es gibt sehr kleine Portionen die nicht im Verhältnis zu Preis und Qualität stehen! Änderungen, auf Grund von gesundheitlichen Einschränken, werden zwar berücksichtigt, aber weder im Preis abgezogen noch ansprechend angerichtet! Der Affogato wurde in Tasse und Becher gereicht, so das beim umschütten des Espresso der restliche Kaffee die Tischdecken verdreckt wurde. Dies war nicht gerade angenehm! Die Toiletten sind zwar sauber aber die Fliesen aus den 70‘er und für den Rest des Ambiente nicht passend! Schade für diesen Abend, wir hatten ein überteuertes Erlebnis das in Geschmack und Qualität leider nicht zusammen gepasst hat!

Really great! We absolutely loved the Gasthaus zur Traube. Bourgeois cuisine on a whole new level – great quality and a hit in terms of taste. Every dish was lovingly prepared and incredibly tasty. Best Wienerschnitzel we have eaten in a long time. If you value quality, a relaxed atmosphere and great service, love home-style cuisine and just want to enjoy it, this is the place for you!

Eigentlich wollten wir nur das schöne Wetter genießen mit einem zünftigen Essen im Biergarten. Unsere Erwartung war also eine völlig andere... Schon an den Preisen hätte für uns ersichtlich sein können,dass es sich hier nicht um eine 0815 Küche handelt,war es aber nicht... und so waren wir um so mehr überrascht über unser sehr kreativ angerichtetes Essen das wirklich super!! lecker war, wenn gleich die Portionen etwas größer hätten sein dürfen. Der Service war flott und superfreundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Das nächste Mal mit dem Wissen gehobene Küche genießen zu dürfen( evtl. mit größeren Portionen ;-)

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right at all. At these prices I expect something of higher quality and, above all, something special in terms of taste. The salads were plain with boring dressing. The Schlutzkrapfen were also too weak in taste, the spinach underneath was unseasoned, there was not enough parmesan, and sage butter was forgotten. (After complaining, of course there was an apology and a schnapps as compensation) and the whole thing for 22€ (5 Schlutzkrapfen with some spinach). We had to wait a good hour for food when the restaurant wasn't full! So our conclusion once and never again. With this concept we don't give the host a chance of survival in Weiler.

The (West) Allgäu has a new insider tip! Only recently opened, the entire team shows what ambitions they have from the very first moment. Greatly set tables (cloth napkins!!) in the historic building, very friendly and professional service and a kitchen that combines the traditional Allgäu with the demands of a meeting place for gourmets in a relaxed and uncomplicated manner. Sausage salad? Schnitzel? A good beer with it? Of course, no question about it! Pulpo with chickpeas and yellow beets? Char ceviche with wasabi mayo? A bottle of wine with it? Of course, no question about it. Nothing is artificial, everything seems as if it should simply be that way and would be unimaginable otherwise. You simply concentrate on the essentials. We look forward to the development of this great restaurant and the team in the near future and to many wonderful culinary moments!

Hello dear people of the “Good Kitchen” 😎 Today, on the recommendation, we stopped for lunch at the “Zur Traube” inn in Weiler (Allgäu). The idea was to enjoy the regional cuisine. What can I say, we really enjoyed it there. We received a very friendly welcome in the rustic guest room. The lunch itself started with a delicious glass of sparkling wine🥂. I myself chose the “dish of the day”. The soup was a dream, the main course was the right choice👍and I enjoyed it very much. The food (soup and main course) came to the table at a very good temperature. Since dessert wasn't possible, we had an espresso at the end to round off the meal. My conclusion... anytime I'm in the area... many thanks from us vacationers from Brandenburg

Yesterday we ate at the Gasthaus zur Traube for the first time since it reopened. We were thrilled. Great food. The beer garden is super cozy, service is great and the team is friendly and very accommodating. The menu offers something for every taste. Absolute recommendation!

My eyes and my palate were pleasantly surprised! It was simply delicious!

This evening we had dinner with 4 people in the really beautiful garden. The food was very tasty, the service excellent. Definitely a recommendation for anyone looking for something special in Weiler. The buchteln with vanilla sauce for dessert were a poem!

Reopening four days ago! Reception with red carpet in the entrance area! Nice ambience! White set tables! Friendly service! The starters of potato soup / mixed salad were a delicious introduction to the main courses! The entrecote, the Tafelspitz with horseradish sauce and the Kässpätzle with fried onions were just as we had hoped, tender and delicious! Many thanks to the chef and kitchen team! We'd love to come back! We couldn't use the beer garden due to the weather!
