Gasthaus "Zur Scheune" in Chemnitz

Very nice restaurant, nice ambience. Food was excellent. We'd love to come back.

The ambience was okay, it is very dark. The homemade lemonades were delicious, but very expensive at €5.90. The main courses weren't that good. Extra requests (e.g. no mushrooms) were not taken into account and the taste wasn't that good either. The goose leg, for example, was also absolutely unconvincing. The schnitzels are okay, but not outstanding. The service wasn't particularly friendly either. All in all mediocre, we won't be coming back.

It was our first time in the restaurant “Zur Scheune” From minute 1 we felt comfortable and welcome. The service was friendly, quick and spontaneous. There was also always a certain sense of humor. The handling of our youngest child was also sensitive and tailored to the needs of the children. Simply great. Great praise also when it comes to food. Almost like grandma's. I cannot give higher praise. Delicious delicious delicious. We're definitely going there again.

We had a pleasant visit. We liked it very much. As a surprising highlight, I would like to recommend the extremely delicious house lemonade, very Christmassy, ​​mega.

Overall the atmosphere was the best part. The waitress was nice but the only one, which also meant it took a fairly long time to get drinks and food. The food overall was not enough and not that good, the fish filet was fairly dry, the red cabbage was way too sweet and the sauce didn't compliment the other food. I do not really recommend dining here, especially for the price.

If there are only four guests there on Saturday lunchtime, that's a bit of a taste. The cook was probably very in love, the meat wasn't really soft and red cabbage should be served separately because otherwise the dumplings would be in the cabbage broth. These days, no senior citizen portion is really forthcoming.

Saturday lunchtime in the run-up to Christmas... and the restaurant was empty. We were the only guests. Something can't be right. We were here often before Corona, but not again after the change of operator, until today. The menu is not particularly extensive and there are no senior dishes. When serving, the salad was forgotten, the goulash was hard and we had already gotten the goose legs tastier and softer. What we didn't like was that there was a huge dog, although on a leash, lying on a bench next to the counter, which somehow didn't give the hygienic impression it was supposed to have. The service was friendly. Nevertheless, the prices are quite reasonable, we probably won't come back anytime soon.

A Christmas party for 30 people that starts at 6 p.m. and ends shortly before 9 p.m. and then sending the young waitress instead of appearing yourself is a real indictment! If you, as a restaurateur, are not in the mood for such celebrations, then you don't accept them instead of ruining the evening for a party! But you can be sure that we won't book there again!

Just disappointing! Our Christmas party (with 30 people), which started at 6:00 p.m., was ended shortly before 9:00 p.m. citing closing times and a lack of staff. When planning in advance, we were not informed of the early closing, even if the service staff put forward by the boss claimed this. The otherwise so communicative boss of the house didn't say a single word to us. You can understand the problem of a lack of staff, but if you don't have staff, you can't offer celebrations in this form. This is all about making quick money! After this very disappointing evening for all of us, any further visit to this house is unnecessary.

After we were so disappointed/deceived by the (4* star) hotel in Lichtenwalde, we as a family found a really great place to eat and just be comfortable. Thanks to Caro and Nicole, who brought us back to peace so lovingly, heartily, diligently, humorously and competently. Absolutely excellent team. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The farmer's breakfast consisted of 90% potatoes, you had to look for the egg. The accompanying salad was just chopped, carelessly prepared, unseasoned vegetables in a small jar. 16€ is definitely too much to ask for. The waitress apologized, but I won't be coming back.

For the spontaneous search on Monday evening, we were very impressed by the friendliness of the information (by telephone) and on site, even though we had had a strenuous weekend. Price performance is not right at all! Far too expensive for Eastern standards and the portion is very small! Then you wait 1.5 hours for your food! Before the change or closure it was much better!!

Be careful when booking larger celebrations! This is the second time that I have been canceled at short notice and with bold excuses! A disaster when you have to inform 20 people and quickly find an alternative restaurant! The “Barn” was always a great excursion destination, but since the owner took over as managing director again, nothing has been going on! He just can't do it, sorry...

Unfortunately, the workforce was completely overwhelmed. After about an hour of waiting without service, we left again. The food looked good, but unfortunately you won't get full just by looking at it.

Friendly and courteous service. Guest-oriented owners who have the guests' well-being in mind. Even if the dining room is full of people, they will try to get you a table. In summer you can sit outside nicely. There are plenty of free parking spaces in front of the inn. My wife, who is a vegetarian, also had a large selection. Good home-style and delicious food.

We entered the restaurant astonished by the exceptionally beautiful ambience and were not particularly warmly welcomed by the female waitress. Unfortunately, this unhappiness and unfriendliness continued right up to the “goodbye” (which we are currently doubting). The orders were taken rudely, the drinks were simply put down without asking: "Who gets the shandy, who gets the beer". We then swapped drinks with each other!!! A misunderstanding when ordering food caused pure chaos. It made all of us feel very angry and we just wanted to pay and leave that restaurant. However, a huge compliment to the kitchen. The dishes were all sensational, delicious and a feast for the eyes. I would also be interested to know why I was asked about the reason for the small family celebration (special birthday) when I pre-ordered by phone?

Yesterday I was very satisfied again. The food was very tasty and I also think it's great that there is always a seasonal menu in addition to the regular menu. A successful evening in the barn. We had a really excellent meal on the small sunny balcony. It is very positive to emphasize that gluten-free dishes are labeled and that gluten-free breading alternatives are available for schnitzel and gluten-free dumplings. The spiced meat was very tasty and of great meat quality, the pike perch with cucumber salad was very light and summery (I was thrilled by the delicious side salad and the fried thyme garnish), and the evening was rounded off with a creamy mango sorbet. My companions were also very satisfied. Thank you very much 🍀, we'll be happy to come back.

The inn “Zur Scheune” is on a slope and not only has its own free parking lot. But also a great, quiet location not far from the B169 Sitting outside is simply awesome with the view. We weren't hungry for a big meal, but what was served on the neighboring tables looked very tasty and good. Our little snack: egg pancakes and coffee were great! You can eat really well here at a reasonable price. The pleasant ambience is accentuated by the friendly and fast service. This restaurant is definitely worth a stop!

We had lunch in the barn as a family on Ascension Day. It was once again indescribably good: extremely friendly and fast service, sensationally good food for parents and children. Thanks to the nice weather, we were able to enjoy the sun outside on the terrace and the children could conquer the playground in between. In short - we felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

I'm torn about how to rate the evening. The young service staff were friendly and tried very hard - so the service was good. We had the spiced meat as a starter - very tasty, but unfortunately without a piece of toast or baguette. The steak au-four with self-made fries was also good. Since the menu also offers a lot that you can't get everywhere, I decided on the beetroot risotto with pumpkin wedges and black halibut. The risotto was very tasty - just something different. Now comes the thing that ended my evening in complete disappointment. The Greenland Halibut was a tail with both ventral lobes. I didn't have an inch without bones. No restaurant offers a piece of fish like this - a chef can see that when it's being processed! Something like that shouldn't be bought and then sold on a dish for €8. The waitress asked if everything was OK - I replied "no" and explained my disappointment. You can't do that, that's how you buy it from the fishmonger. As an apology I was offered an espresso. I suggested paying for the rest of the dish, but without the fish. This suggestion was ignored. Another waiter came to pay, I explained to him again that everything tasted very good, but this halibut really needs to be reconsidered. I gathered from his answers that I apparently wasn't the first person to struggle with the halibut. It's a shame, a real shame... our impression after reopening could have been better. The fact that we were greeted with a list of everything that was no longer available (no more salads, no more asparagus, no more Hollandaise sauce) was completely ignored for us.

Today, shortly before work, we had a spontaneous meal. 4 people, with dog. We had asparagus with schnitzel and once, asparagus with beef tongue. What can I say... the food was top top top... best "good bourgeois cuisine" top class... and the service was absolutely amazing, courteous, attentive and friendly!! The first to be served was the dog. Exemplary! Thanks!! The atmosphere is cozy and very well maintained! Everything absolutely recommended!!!! Gladly again!

I was passing through and spontaneously looked for a restaurant for lunch and stopped here because of the street sign. Everything perfect! Food, service, ambience - all 5 stars. If I ever drive past it again, I will definitely stop by again.

The food tastes good overall, but is marred by various things, such as: B. the schnitzel with fried potatoes. This dish is far too greasy and therefore heavy on the stomach. The salmon in the asparagus dish was a bit too dry and the hollandaise sauce doesn't seem to be homemade. That's a bit of a shame! Therefore no 5 stars!

Always delicious. Constantly changing menu with a few but regional and seasonal dishes. Wild garlic soup was okay. A little bit of flavor and maybe a slice or two of bread would be great. Schnitzel XL with pan-fried vegetables and fries Pan-fried vegetables very tasty. Everything homemade. Maybe a bit too many herbs but a matter of taste. Homemade fries and fried really well. Mayo excellent. Mushroom sauce that I specially ordered was very “weak” and watery. So the taste didn't come through really well. The schnitzel (in the XL menu) was already XXL. But it was beaten very thin. Maybe 3-4mm Just add another 3-4mm of breading around it. Maybe only tap to 2/3 or ½. You not only have breading in your mouth but also meat. Price is simply super cheap. 19€ the schnitzel without the sauce. That was extra. But at €19 you can easily end up with less on your plate. You will be more than full. Or you can simply make it 4-5€ more expensive. Wouldn't bother anyone either. One star less for the points mentioned. Still always worth a visit!

Yesterday we were at the “Zur Scheune” inn and we really enjoyed it. The ambience is very sweet and unusual. The service is attentive and entertaining. The food was really delicious and totally reasonable for the price. We would love to come back again.

We don't go out to eat often and when we do, it should be something special, beautiful, romantic, delicious. Everything went well when ordering a table, but unfortunately not anymore in the restaurant. The chef canceled due to health reasons, and after waiting for two hours, we left without receiving the food we had provided. The waiter tried to always be polite, but it would have been nice if the boss had personally apologized. Maybe class is more important than quantity, the inn was overcrowded and the staff was visibly overworked. Will not visit the inn again.

So today we spontaneously went for dinner after a short hike. We were quickly provided with menus and were able to order drinks, which were immediately available. The food came in a reasonable time. If you order freshly prepared food, you should also bring the appropriate amount of time. The food was hot, very tasty and flavorful. We will definitely come back soon and recommend the restaurant to friends.

Very rustic furnishings and good home cooking

We've now eaten in the barn twice in a row and were very impressed by the friendly staff, the cozy atmosphere and the good cuisine. I particularly liked the fact that there were many gluten-free dishes!

Went there for lunch and coffee. Our friend sent us the memory card and we were told to decide in advance what we wanted to have for lunch so that it would supposedly be quicker when we arrived. Unfortunately we are very disappointed and had to plan for a longer period of time. Many were not satisfied with what they ordered. The game goulash was cold and a very thick sauce because it looked exactly the same to others even though they had ordered something different. In terms of price, we would have expected something different.

The prices are already slightly increased, as they are probably everywhere now.

Preis/Leistung fanden wir ebenfalls Top. Wirklich ordentliche Portionen zu einem fairen Preis. Personal absolut freundlich, von uns gibt’s eine absolute Empfehlung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
