There's always something new to discover at the "Zur Scheune" inn. Whether it's the baskets hanging from the ceiling, the countless coffee pots and coffee grinders, the walking sticks on the walls and ceiling, or the paintings, everything just fits together and makes the inn so inviting. The food is delicious and the service very friendly. Highly recommended!👍

The ambiance is still great, but the food is nothing like it. The kids' pancakes were almost runny, and no, that had nothing to do with the eggs being fresh. The farmer's breakfast was also completely soggy. The staff was friendly and tried to compensate for the kids' sad eyes over their food with a free ice cream. Everyone's tastes are different.

Weekday dinner... The food was good, the service was okay... The kitchen closes at 8:15 p.m. The outside lights are there, but they don't turn them on so everyone in the dark can tell that it's closing time at 9:00 p.m.

It was a lovely evening with incredibly friendly and cool hosts who made the stay special with their wit and charm. You just feel comfortable and welcome. The ambiance is simply lovely, and the food was also delicious. They were very child-friendly, open-minded, and understanding when things got a bit loud.

One of the few restaurants open on Mondays. Making a reservation over the phone was easy and extremely friendly 🙂 The restaurant is very idyllically situated amidst meadows and fields...there are also horses nearby to admire. The outdoor area of the restaurant is slightly elevated, and the adjacent green area is perfect for playing. There's a climbing frame and a seesaw. The food was delicious, the portions were quite large, and the service was exceptionally friendly, chatty, and absolutely personable! We felt very comfortable!

Nice ambience with confident staff. The starter of spiced meat was good and a large portion, but the cheapest baguette didn't fit the bill. The main courses are extremely expensive for their value. Salad with steak—as always, I requested medium steak when ordering—then my €24 dish arrived. The simplest salad drowned in marinade with a thin minute steak that no chef in the world could cook pink. Or cheese spaetzle for €17, redfish served as nuggets. The classic roulade looked the best. Dessert: a tiny scoop of ice cream with a strawberry, shared between four people! The mixed drinks were about 40% full, a wine glass for €8, with a 700% profit on cost of goods sold. Great atmosphere, prices like you'd find on the Zugspitze or the Baltic Sea!

Great location with lots of attention to detail and friendly staff, what more could you want? 🫶🏻 On top of that, the food tasted really good. My husband felt the food was missing some salt, but I think that's a matter of taste and you could have asked for salt, so everything was top-notch all around ☺️ The owner and manager was also very friendly and was happy to take the time to have a chat ☺️

Unfortunately, completely disappointing! We had made a reservation for a birthday party. Various items on the menu were not available. The waiting times for drinks alone were disgraceful. Food was forgotten, some of it was only lukewarm, special requests were simply ignored and when the kitchen is on fire and guests are getting angry because it took two hours, then the boss needs to get involved instead of standing there chatting and watching the servers get desperate. Other guests left without eating and we will never go here again. If you don't want to make money and don't want regular parties in your shop, then this is what you do! A real shame and completely incomprehensible, because even if a chef was supposedly unavailable, you could have offered good service.

The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. The Kaiserschmarrn (pancake) was one of the best I've had in a while. Highly recommended. They also offer many gluten-free dishes upon request, which isn't something you see very often. In any case, this is a highly recommended restaurant, and I will definitely eat there again.

A superb ambiance. Lovingly decorated with attention to detail. Nicole's service was super friendly. The chef also strives to create a good atmosphere. Unfortunately, due to a lack of staff, you have to wait an hour for the food. We were there two Fridays in a row and it was always the same. 70% of the food was good, although the portions were quite small for the price. Unfortunately, on both visits, one or two dishes were inedible and had to be sent back. These were also promptly removed from the bill. Since we eat out a lot, the restaurant fits into the mid-range category.

Five of us spontaneously showed up at the restaurant one Saturday. We were immediately seated in a friendly and courteous manner, seated in the attic, which was very quaint and cozy. Our drink orders were taken and brought quickly. The food took a while, but that was fine with us. As I said, it was a lovely atmosphere! The owner was very friendly and funny. The food was very, very tasty and plentiful. We would love to come back.

Personally, I was disappointed. The food had no seasoning at all; the chef's seasoning had probably been taken away. The starter was barely warm, while the main course was half burnt. Maybe it was just bad luck, being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have no idea!

We wanted to enjoy a cozy Mother's Day in the barn and were seriously disappointed. The desired water at room temperature was ice cold, but the white wine was warm. There was just a spritzer. After a while a bottle of water came to the table, which really wasn't cold. Unfortunately, the boiled beef was impossible for a 90-year-old to chew. But the biggest disappointment was the inflexibility of the kitchen. There were no potatoes for lunch, only fried potatoes. What were they made of...??? They, in turn, had skin on them and were a far cry from fried potatoes. When asked whether there might be red cabbage with the fish, it was again a “no”. There are no special requests today. The horseradish sauce just missed the horseradish. The food was a complete disappointment. In the end, the waitress didn't want to know whether it was tasty. We'll know why. Our dog was also not offered water and was ignored. Finally, a note on the waitress dress code. It is completely unacceptable and unaesthetic to be greeted by an older woman wearing an armpit shirt. Where is the etiquette? It was by far the worst restaurant visit we have had. Even our seniors were dissatisfied. You won't see us again and I will advise everyone not to eat there.

The first time we were there we left after 21/2 hours without eating. The second time the online reservation didn't work despite 2 attempts. The service was friendly and tried very hard to shorten the waiting time for us, even the first time.

Went there again after a long time and were disappointed. Service has slacked off and is unprofessional (fingers in the glass), ordered a medallion and got some kind of steak. XL was just normal and nothing special in terms of taste. But the price is high. You don't have to have it anymore.

An espresso for €2.60 from the machine (unfortunately no portafilter machine - just too expensive for that)... We would love to eat there again...

We were in this restaurant for the first time today and were simply THRILLED! Even though we hadn't made a reservation, a table was set aside for us despite the number of guests. The slightly longer wait was sweetened with a greeting from the kitchen and a glass of schnapps. The staff was super friendly, the quality of the food was TOP. The price/performance ratio is great. WE WILL BE BACK 😊

Super nice nostalgic atmosphere! The restaurant is very busy and booking in advance is recommended. Staff and owners always find a few minutes for a personal chat. All dishes are freshly prepared and yes, it just takes a moment, otherwise you have to go to the fast food chain. We didn't notice any free-roaming people, on the contrary, we didn't notice them at all :). Conclusion: great restaurant also suitable for children, there is a lot to look at :). We were there for Christmas with the family. There was a holiday menu. The selection was simple but well adapted. There was also a vegetarian dish. It could only be difficult for picky children. But luckily the homemade spaetzle tasted good. The food was quite good but still has room for improvement. The ambience probably isn't for everyone, but I found it lovely. You're constantly discovering new things. The waitresses were super nice, cheerful and very attentive. We would like to come back again to try out the normal menu.

We were in the Zeißigwald on Sunday and then spontaneously wanted to have lunch at this restaurant. We didn't reserve a table but still managed to seat 6 people. The decor is very inviting and you immediately felt at home. We were served personally by the boss, who immediately made an open and friendly impression and had a nice chat with us. After ordering the food, he brought us a greeting from the kitchen which consisted of fresh bread and (presumably) mushy peas, which tasted very good. The plates are also lovingly prepared and even warmed, which is a huge plus. If you like it cozy, this restaurant is the right place for you.

We stopped by the barn early in the evening on Sunday and were thrilled. A very beautiful sight from the outside due to the lighting, which continued inside. Insanely comfortable. The historical description of the house at the beginning of the menu is also very interesting. We can only rave about the food, roulade, steak au four and XXL schnitzel with fried potatoes, even the seasoned meat is obviously homemade. The young man who served was very friendly and accommodating. And in contrast to other reviewers, the "big" dog on the bench at the counter didn't bother us in the least; we are dog lovers and love being guests of dog lovers. We would have liked to pet him 🙂 Overall, a great experience and we would love to come back.

We were there to eat on Christmas Day and I have to say, the food was cold, the duck breast tasted like liver and the dumplings were hard and not fluffy.

Very beautiful in itself. The food is also very tasty. Annoying, however, when there is only one Christmas card and nothing neutral, especially for small children. They don't eat duck, goose or sauerbraten. Basically, the children's card was a senior card. The normal card was there and when you chose, you were told you could only choose from the Christmas card. 1 dumpling with sauce for €10 is also pretty intense. There wasn't even a scoop of neutral ice cream. The service was super nice. She was visibly uncomfortable with the whole thing. Really a shame.

The ambience was okay, it is very dark. The homemade lemonades were delicious, but very expensive at €5.90. The main courses weren't that good. Extra requests (e.g. no mushrooms) were not taken into account and the taste wasn't that good either. The goose leg, for example, was also absolutely unconvincing. The schnitzels are okay, but not outstanding. The service wasn't particularly friendly either. All in all mediocre, we won't be coming back.

The handling of our youngest child was also sensitive and tailored to the needs of the children. Simply great. Großes Lob auch in Sachen Essen. Fast wie bei Oma. Ein größeres Lob kann ich nicht geben. Lecker lecker lecker. Wir gehen definitiv wieder hin.

The food overall was not enough and not that good, the fish filet was fairly dry, the red cabbage was way too sweet and the sauce didn't compliment the other food. If there are only four guests there on Saturday lunchtime, that's a bit of a taste. The cook was probably very in love, the meat wasn't really soft and red cabbage should be served separately because otherwise the dumplings would be in the cabbage broth. These days, no senior citizen portion is really forthcoming.

Saturday lunchtime in the run-up to Christmas... and the restaurant was empty. We were the only guests. Something can't be right. We were here often before Corona, but not again after the change of operator, until today. The menu is not particularly extensive and there are no senior dishes. The salad was forgotten when serving, the goulash was hard and the goose legs were tastier and softer. What we didn't like was that there was a huge dog, on a leash, lying on a bench next to the counter, which somehow didn't give the hygienic impression it was supposed to have. The service was friendly. Nevertheless, the prices are quite reasonable, we probably won't come back anytime soon.

A Christmas party for 30 people that starts at 6 p.m. and ends shortly before 9 p.m. and then sending the young waitress instead of appearing yourself is a real indictment! If you, as a restaurateur, are not in the mood for such celebrations, then you don't accept them instead of ruining the evening for a party! But you can be sure that we won't book there again!

Just disappointing! Our Christmas party (with 30 people), which started at 6:00 p.m., was ended shortly before 9:00 p.m. citing closing times and a lack of staff. When planning in advance, we were not informed of the early closing, even if the service staff put forward by the boss claimed this. The otherwise so communicative boss of the house didn't say a single word to us. You can understand the problem of a lack of staff, but if you don't have staff, you can't offer celebrations in this form. This is all about making quick money! After this very disappointing evening for all of us, any further visit to this house is unnecessary.

Price performance is not right at all! Far too expensive for Eastern standards and the portion is very small! Then you wait 1.5 hours for your food! Before the change or closure it was much better!!

The “Barn” was always a great excursion destination, but since the owner took over as managing director again, nothing has been going on! He just can't do it, sorry...

Friendly and courteous service. Guest-oriented owners who have the guests' well-being in mind. Even if the dining room is full of people, they will try to get you a table. We entered the restaurant astonished by the exceptionally beautiful ambience and were not particularly warmly welcomed by the female waitress. Unfortunately, this unhappiness and unfriendliness continued right up to the “goodbye” (which we are currently doubting). The orders were taken rudely, the drinks were simply put down without asking: "Who gets the shandy, who gets the beer". We then swapped drinks with each other!!! A misunderstanding when ordering food caused pure chaos. It made all of us feel very angry and we just wanted to pay and leave that restaurant. However, a huge compliment to the kitchen. The dishes were all sensational, delicious and a feast for the eyes. I would also be interested to know why I was asked about the reason for the small family celebration (special birthday) when I pre-ordered by phone?
