We went to the breakfast buffet. I like going to Chemnitz Alex. Service is great and accommodating. But as far as the service is concerned, I have only gained good experiences in Alex. I always enjoy coming here. Ambience is really nice. Also rebuilt in the last few years. Except for the toilets, they have always been the same 😄 Hygiene is important in the catering industry and for me that includes the toilets and certainly every guest should leave the toilet the way they would like to find it at home. The breakfast buffet is really very good and varied. There are various baked goods, scrambled eggs, fruit, pancakes, etc. The service staff is very friendly.

I really enjoy eating the schnitzel here, but everyone I was there with also found delicious things. Very varied and cool atmosphere. Drinks are tasty, although not exactly cheap. Always happy!

Mit 18 bekommt man da keinen Alkohol (wir wollten nur Hugo trinken) schade drum da wir dann direkt wieder gehen mussten ohne etwas zu bestellen weil die sehr unfreundliche Mitarbeiterin unsere Bestellung abgelehnt hat. Nie wieder werde ich dahin gehen.

Ein Besuch im Alex...hat es immer in sich, das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, ist lecker 😋 und das Personal hat immer einen lockeren Spruch auf lager. Kommen immer wieder gern vorbei.

We always go there for brunch (you need to order in advance!), great selection and delicious food, the staff is very friendly and attentive, but unfortunately you can hardly understand your own words when it's full and the space gets pretty thin.

I've eaten at Alex Restaurant a few times and have had good experiences so far. However, during my recent visits there were a few things I would like to address. On the one hand, I have noticed that there are sometimes errors when it comes to change. It would be nice if we worked a little more precisely here to avoid misunderstandings. On the other hand, I had the feeling that some employees, especially female ones, were less friendly towards the guests. Of course it can also depend on individual days or situations, but I have the impression that some guests are treated differently depending on their origin or appearance. Friendliness should be shown equally to all guests, regardless of their origin or appearance. I hope that such issues are addressed internally to ensure that the service remains pleasant for all guests. Otherwise the restaurant is a nice place that I would like to visit again. Thank you

We have been meeting once a week at Alex for breakfast for a long time. The staff is very friendly, the selection and food from the buffet are good and tasty. In summer there is a large outdoor area on the Neumarkt. We will remain loyal to Alex as regular customers.

We had reserved for seven people, everything went well. We were served in a friendly and timely manner. The main courses and drinks were very tasty. Only the burgers still have some room for improvement. The atmosphere was very pleasant and we felt very comfortable. We'll be back! 👍

I recently went to the Alex Restaurant in Chemnitz and really enjoyed my stay. The atmosphere is cozy and the food and cocktails are really tasty. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and very attentive waitress who made our visit special. She was not only professional, but also very charming and made our evening with her smile. A big compliment to the entire team! I'd love to come back.

So 20 minutes ago I reserved a table there for tomorrow morning, 2-3 people for brunch starting at 8:30 a.m. No problem at all, the manager on the phone was very friendly, very happy, there is still a table available, have a nice evening and see you tomorrow. I just called back again to increase the number of people to 4. Now an employee told me that everything was fully booked and that there was no reservation in my name. It would also be impossible to find out which employee confirmed my reservation for tomorrow 20 minutes ago. Thank you for taking the piss. Without asking again, we would have turned up at ALEX tomorrow morning and then looked completely stupid from the laundry.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our last visit to you. It felt like the topping was forgotten on the tarte flambée and the meat completely missed the desired cooking point. Add to that your horrendous prices, a children's juice for over €4 is more than outrageous. We won't be back any time soon, which is a shame.

Very busy on December 23rd, 24, cold lasagna, ugh. However, it was warmed up and then returned to the table hot. Unfortunately it's not possible for the price and I'm used to something different at “Alex”. Very unfortunate.

In the middle of the market. In the middle of the city. Central connections to bus and train. It doesn't get any better. Ambience excellent. Real feel-good character where young people meet. Extensive menu of both food and drinks. Freshness is a concept and is lovingly implemented. The eyes eat the food. Perfect. Definitely worth more than a recommendation.

The food was really tasty and the service was friendly and quick. But unfortunately these experiences cannot be put into words what happens here in the toilets. First there were 3 guys doing a line in the toilet and one of them puked in the toilet and the second time you heard 2 guys loudly in the toilet masturbating themselves orally. Very very good. We were a large group and had a lot of space. We had the appointment for Sunday brunch for a long time. The food was always fresh and a great selection of cold and warm dishes. The range of drinks was also great. We will definitely come back here.

We were there on a Friday evening, it was really so full and you could see that it was very stressful, but we were served quickly and got a seat. The drinks were taken quickly and the staff were really very friendly.

Why are the burgers served in a cold patty? Initially had the burger returned and received a completely new burger. Great praise for that but it was also cold. Only the meat was warm. Why are you doing this?

Were there for dinner yesterday with 7 people. Nice ambience, very nice service, exceptional food! The three of us were there again today for lunch - again very tasty!

The food was delicious. The service was also good and nice. But what is not possible are cobwebs, dust and dirt on the walls and on the lamps on the wall. Luckily I didn't see it until after dinner. Otherwise I wouldn't have eaten anything. I think a complete renovation would be good here.

They dont know what a Martini is. I saw that they offer Espresso Martinis so I asked them for a regular Dry Gin Martini with an olive. Waitress said they dont have it, that they only offer Martini Blanco. So I explained to her that it's just gin with that dry vermouth. She came back to say they dont have olives... no problem, I take it with a twist, but I should have know that I shouldn't expect much. She came back with just the dry vermouth. I spoke to another waitress that this is not a Martini and explained to her what a martini is. She said that they dont have vermouth. Say what??? But fortunately they took it back and I just ordered a red wine instead, which was really good. They took it of the bill, but the service crippled to non-existent and I could see them talk about us with judging ugly faces. Its bizarre that places like this dont know one of the most popular cocktails.

I usually find ALEX very good, the selection of food and drinks, the ambience. Unfortunately, there is such a noise level in ALEX Chemnitz, especially in the evenings, that it is very difficult to talk to the person sitting next to you or even to communicate with the waiters. We left immediately after dinner because it was so tiring. Perhaps this is also intended so that the next guests will find a place again. Soundproofing measures would be advisable.

Unfortunately, my Asian chicken burger was partially raw and the burger didn't really taste Asian. The cocktails are very good. The acai smoothie cocktail was really tasty. The New York sour takes a little getting used to, but the espresso martini was very good. Probably not again for cocktails or for food.

I was in this restaurant today and I have to say I was very disappointed, the quality of the food has deteriorated and the prices have increased significantly.

Now a few more words about the well-deserved 5 stars. But there isn't much more to say. The selection of food is very varied but not too much. Everyone enjoyed it very much. The ambience is certainly not for everyone, but we definitely liked it very much. What is striking, which is unfortunately no longer standard, is a very attentive, friendly service. In other words, see you again.

We were there on Sunday afternoon without a reservation. Despite the full house, we were quickly assigned a table. The service was great, as were the drinks (we didn't eat). What we didn't like was the noise in general and the toilet door slamming very loudly. Very annoying for everyone sitting in that area. Maybe you could turn it down again ;-)

The Alex fluctuates every few years in terms of the quality of the food. For some time now we have been very satisfied again and often come here because it's easy to sit together and let the Chemnitz flair work its magic on you and of course it tastes good. The service is great, all the employees do a great job. Sometimes it gets pretty crowded and you can hardly understand your own words, but all in all we like being there.

I've been visiting Alex for years and have never been disappointed. The food and drinks are absolutely okay for the price and the quality is appropriate. From brunch, to a cocktail evening, or just a cozy get-together, Alex can offer it all. In summer there are also many tables outside and even in winter, diehards can sit outside under the hot lights. The service is good so far and I haven't had any reason to complain so far. Last but not least, the toilets are clean and tidy and complete the really good overall picture. I therefore clearly recommend Alex and I look forward to my next visit there.

It's actually a great restaurant, but the toilets are terrible. Dirty, partly broken, doors can't be locked, etc. Not possible at all. With a shop that is running so well, you are clearly making savings in the wrong place. Feedback was accepted by the Alex team and implemented relatively quickly. Now it fits👍

We had dinner on a Friday evening and we enjoyed it. The atmosphere outside in the middle of downtown Chemnitz was also good. Only the juices had a little syrup, which only tasted like water. For €6 per drink, this is absolutely not recommended. But the staff then added syrup and everything was fine. The staff in general was nice, just very stressed, which you have to accept as a guest on a Friday evening with pleasant temperatures and nice weather. So all in all it was a lovely evening with great food and a lovely atmosphere.
