Chef Edin is incredibly friendly, the service is top-notch, the food is amazing, and special requests are met without a hitch. The previous reviews convinced us to go there, and we definitely recommend it. We'd love to go back!

We just ate there. The chef had cleaned the kitchen when we arrived. The host opened the kitchen again for us and it was delicious 😋 Now that's what I call hospitality.

Highly recommended! I was there for dinner yesterday, shredded pork with sage, hot paprika, and garlic... I was completely blown away by the balance of the individual flavors in the dish. It had a very pleasant spiciness, harmoniously integrated sage and garlic in an excellent balance, and everything was freshly prepared in-house. I would never have imagined being so culinary-friendly in a Lower Bavarian beer garden. Who needs a tantris? ;-) I'd go back anytime!

The waitresses were very friendly and nice. I had the garlic shrimp with bread, which was amazing and so delicious. The cordon bleu wasn't my cup of tea. Unfortunately, it tasted like old pork. The ham and cheese weren't that tasty. 😕 And the other guests were so loud that you couldn't hear yourself.

First time back after a change of management, and satisfied. The food was very tasty, with generous portions and a fair price. And, of course, the friendly people who run the restaurant are also important.

We ate there today! We had schnitzel! All I can say is, they were huge schnitzels and the quality of the meat was simply fantastic, tender, and the taste was amazing! Huge praise to the waiter, he was extremely nice! We'll definitely be back!

We were there Sunday evening. The service was excellent. Otherwise, the food tasted like it had been warmed up. It was quickly put on the grill and then brought to the table. The chefs came out of the kitchen wearing blue gloves and had a quick smoke. I wonder if they changed them for the next meal? It all seemed a bit unprofessional. I wish the team all the best for the future. In any case, even though the beer garden is very nice, we won't be visiting the restaurant again... Best regards

It all began when our daughters asked us if we wanted to come along to the opening of the Gasthaus zum Schützen. I almost went to the wrong inn on that rainy evening... and now, after having visited the restaurant three times, I realize that that evening was the beginning of a culinary friendship. Everything we've eaten and experienced since then, in a friendly atmosphere, has literally blown me away, as the younger generation would say. However, I, an old school lad, highly recommend this restaurant. Anyone who has read these lines can, and should, form their own opinion. Josef L.

We went there for dinner on Saturday evening. The Balkan platter for two was incredibly delicious! Everyone else at the table also praised the food. The server was super friendly and quick. They also recommended a shot of schnapps after dinner. We'll definitely be back. It's a shame it was too cold for the beer garden. The beautiful, large trees certainly offer great shade and are a great place to sit and relax. I wish you all the best and keep it up. And remember the idea of ​​the hot plates. 😉😉

A very nice, quaint Bavarian restaurant. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and the beer garden was closed, but walking by, it looked very cozy. We went there for dinner. Our food arrived quickly after ordering, and it tasted wonderful. The portions were generous, and it was no problem to take the leftovers to go in a box. The owner was really friendly and took time for a quick chat with all the guests at the table. All in all, highly recommended; we'd love to come back :)

The Schützen is now under new management, and you can tell right away: The new owner is super friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is cozy and informal, just as you would expect from a Bavarian inn. The food was really good, down-to-earth, fresh, and prepared with love. The menu offers classic dishes that are truly enjoyable. I'm already looking forward to summer, as the beer garden is already inviting you to linger... perfect for enjoying a cold beer and a good meal in good weather. We had tzatziki with oven-fresh bread for our starter. The bread was truly oven-fresh and an 11/10 overall. For our main course, we shared the Balkan grill platter for two people. The platter itself was very good and highly recommended for those with a real appetite. The only criticism was the minced steak. It tasted good, but a minced steak made from fresh ground meat, rather than a convenience product, would have been better. The rest of the platter was made from fresh ingredients. Big praise goes to the waitress. The young gentleman did an excellent job, was always friendly and courteous. He always asked if everything was okay and if there were any other requests. You rarely find such a waitress. Highly recommended.

The service was great, the staff was super friendly. However, the food was rather standard. The spaetzle are obviously not homemade. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not justified. Overall, it's a good place to stop off at the Gasthaus zum Schützen.

Went to this restaurant for the first time today. Very nice service and personally greeted by the boss. Drinks were brought to the table quickly and ordering food didn't take long. Food was all brought out at the same time. Cheese spaetzle were very creamy, baked feta cheese with a small side salad and toasted white bread, Viennese style schnitzel with cranberries and fries and a side salad and fresh asparagus with pork medallions and hollandaise sauce and also with a side salad. Food was very, very good and can only be recommended. Thank you for the great hospitality

We ordered a gypsy schnitzel and cream schnitzel. It's probably difficult to identify what's in the cardboard box. We expected more because the schnitzel was great last time. This time we most likely got ready-made sauce and subsequent stomach aches.

We ate there with 5 adults and 2 children at the beginning of April. The portions were very generous and the food was of good quality. We ordered salads, schnitzel and pork medallions - everything was delicious and excellent. We felt very comfortable and would definitely come back if we didn't live 450km away!

We were fantastic place today with very friendly service. When we made our reservation by telephone, we received the information we were interested in. The food was very tasty and portions were very large 🤩 The children and we were extremely happy, we will definitely come back if we take a trip from Nuremberg in this direction. Now I would say...normal beer garden. I had the Nice salad. Was delicious. The dressing tasted good and was a filling portion. There could possibly have been 1 slice more of the baguette that came with it. But I think you can definitely get something if you ask. Service was super nice and attentive. You could tell that they really enjoyed entertaining guests. My companion had the homemade brawn with fried potatoes. Since everything was eaten here, I assume that this was also very tasty. I didn't see a direct parking lot, but you can easily park on the side of the road. The prices are also reasonable.

Food was so good I didn’t stop to take a photo. Pretty much everything is perfect. If I lived in the area this would be my go-to restaurant.

Nice location with a great beer garden. Super nice service and also very accommodating. The schnitzel was great and the nice salad was great too. Only the nuggets and the fries weren't that great. Unfortunately, 2 stars were deducted because the children's menu was really not good. But it can happen.

Mega delicious food, praise to the kitchen. Service very friendly. Great little beer garden with a playground. It's nice that the bar is served in the garden. 1 star deducted for the ambience, but no offense meant. Garden design could be improved. We'll definitely be back.

I had a very good meal today in the beautiful beer garden with linden and chestnut trees, very friendly and courteous service. If I'm in Kelheim again I'll definitely come back here.👍One thing I still have to get rid of later is that the price for the Braumeisterschnitzel with just fried potatoes without side vegetables or side salad is too expensive at €19.90. You can get the light wheat elsewhere for less than €4.

In der gemütlichen Gaststube fühlt man sich direkt wohl, das Personal ist mehr als freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Beim Essen ist von fantastisch über superlecker bis hin zu genial alles dabei. Frischer Salat, große Portionen, sauguter Aperol Spritz! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder!

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtetes Gasthaus. Die Leute sind super freundlich. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet, das Angebot sehr umfangreich. Zudem gutes regionales Bier. Die Preise sind OK. Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen dort, draußen war es kalt, aber innen herrlich gemütlich und warm, mit schönem Kaminfeuer. Die Atmosphäre war fast familiär, auch da sich herausstellte das man ursprünglich aus der selben Region stammt. Es war ein schöner Abend. Wir können dieses Gasthaus unbedingt empfehlen, und kommen sicher auch wieder wenn wir nochmal in der Gegend sind. Viele Grüße aus der „Haamit“ von Rodewisch nach Auerbach 😉 und nun Kelheim.

Durch Zufall entdeckt, wir kommen garantiert wieder. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Küche genial. Alles frisch gekocht, sehr lecker. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, einladendes Ambiente. ..und nicht zu vergessen, unser kleiner Hund war auch willkommen. Parkplätze direkt neben der Gaststätte. Nur zu empfehlen.

Schönes kleines Wirtshaus, mit einladendem Biergarten! Auch für die ganz kleinen ist was geboten! Sandkasten, Schaukeln und eine Rutsche, sowie einer Kletterwand. Hochstühle sind auch vorhanden! Die Wirtin kümmert sich liebevoll auch um die kleinsten Gäste. Beim Essen fang ich gar nicht erst an! Alles Top und einfach nur lecker! Eine kleine aber gemütliche Gaststätte so wie es sein soll und sich gehört!

Na ja essen ging so, Hamburgerfleisch sehr trocken zubereitet und auf Anfrage kam die Antwort das es Schweinefleisch ist,geht garnicht das war mal.Die Bedienung denke mal aus dem Ostblock war nicht gerede verständlich sowie freundlich, Ambiente hat uns 6personen auch nicht begeistert,würde nicht wieder kommen und nicht empfehlen,sogar der Inhaber wurde auf meine Bewertung fresch

Sau Guad! Anders kann man es nicht beschreiben. Bodenständige regionale Küche aber qualitativ hochwertig und sehr schmackhaft! Sehr leckere cordon bleus und die besten fleischpflanzerl die sich seit langem probieren durfte. Die Bedienung ist super nett und die Atmosphäre urig und gemütlich. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Den Schnitzelwirt in Kehlheim kann ich auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Freundlich. Lecker. Gemühtlich.
