⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Empfehlung! Wir waren rundum begeistert. Das Essen war absolute Spitzenklasse (großes Lob an die Küche!) und der Service war super freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an wohlgefühlt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Wir waren zu viert ohne Reservierung dort. Haben trotzdem einen schönen Tisch bekommen. Bedienung super freundlich, witzig und kompetent. Hat uns auf Nachfrage bei der Auswahl mit Empfehlungen geholfen. Besondere Menü-Zusammenstellung war kein Problem! Cordon-Bleu gibt's in zig verschiedenen Varianten, habe ich so auch noch nicht gesehen. Sehr lecker. Rundum ein gelungener Besuch. Wir werden mal wieder reinschauen, wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind!

Urgemütliches Restaurant, so wie es früher einmal war. Das Rösti mit Garnelen - unglaublicher Schmelz. Für mich meine perfekte Mischung : Kalbscordonbleu mit Röstikroketten, Preiselbeeren und Pfefferrahmsoße - noch nie so gut gegessen, daher volle Punktzahl 🥰

Hatte den Fitnessteller für 22,80 . Das war ein Beilagensalat für 6,80 mit einem fettigem Stück Pollo fino statt Hähnenbrust . Nicht mal ein Stück Brot ist dabei . Das brauch ich so nicht wieder . Preis/Leistung nicht nachvollziehbar . Sorry

Wir sind durch Zufall auf dieses Gasthaus aufmerksam geworden. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker und war noch richtig gekocht. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Wir können den Gasthof absolut empfehlen.

Hier war alles Spitzenklasse. Der Service, das Ambiente und vor allem das Essen. Meine Frau und ich waren begeistert. Also, eine absolute Empfehlung von uns.

Gut besuchtes Restaurant mit freundlichen Bedienungen. Es wird zügig serviert, das Apfelsaftschorle war gut gemischt und hier bekommt man auch mal ein gutes, saisonal verfügbares dunkles Bier serviert. Man kann sich manche Gerichte selbst zusammenstellen, ebenso zum Beispiel die Größe, (ca.200gr oder ca. 300gr.) und die Füllung des Cordon Bleu's. Hierbei ist das Fleisch sehr dünn plattiert und man hat den Eindruck das das Gewicht des schwereren Cordon Bleu's nur durch mehr Kochschinken und ein rießiges Käsestück welches nur zum kleinen Teil geschmolzen ist erreicht wird. Trotz das Käse und Schinken im Gegensatz zum Fleisch dominiert haben, war es geschmacklich gut und man muss das gute Preis Leistungsverhältnis hervorheben. Reservierung erforderlich, Parkplatzsituation eher schwierig.

Trotz Vollbesetzung wurden wir sehr schnell bedient. Hervorragende Qualität der Speisen und sehr familiäre Bedienung.. Freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch. Die Schweizer 🇨🇭

Sehr freundliches Personal und besonders die Rösti und Cordon-Bleu Varianten sind sehr lecker. Auch Kinder sind willkommen und bekommen etwas zu malen.

Leckere Gerichte mit schweizer Einschlag. Frisch zubereitet und heiß serviert. Rösti mit Käse überbacken oder Chnoblibrot, einfach gut.

wir waren Faschingsonntag dort, die Speisen: schwäbsche Fädelesuppe, CordonBlue vom Schwein und ein Rösti mit Räucherlachs waren Super. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder !!!

Sehr leckere und preiswerte Hausmannskost mit großer Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Die Bedienungen waren auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt eine verdiente 5/5!

Firmen-Weihnachtsfeiertag. Essenauswahl erfolgte vorab, es standen drei Menüs zur Auswahl, zwei mit Fleisch und ein veganes Menü. Zusätzlich bietet der Ort eine Kegelbahn an, welche vor dem Essen Treffpunkt und zur Einstimmung Sehr gerne angenommen wurde. Service und Essen hervorragend, alles herzlich und professionell. Hervorzuheben, aus der Gruppe wurde nur ein veganes Menü bestellt und dennoch hervorragend gemacht, als wäre der Veganer der einzige Gast.

Die junge Bedienung war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zu kleinen spässen aufgelegt. Das Essen war absolut lecker, sei es die Suppe,das Knoblauchbrot,der Salat oder die Schnitzel mit Pommes alles hat einfach super geschmeckt. Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen.

Im Urlaub entdeckt und jetzt reservieren wir immer gleich einen Tisch für den nächsten Besuch.

Die Portion Chnoblibrot ist wirklich ein Traum für den Gaumen. Ganz zu schweigen von den Schnitzel mit dieser umfassbar leckeren Champignonsauce. 10/10. Einfach klasse. 👍🏼

Wer den Grünen Baum besucht wird einen besonderen Abend erleben. Sehr schmackhaftes Essen, herzige Bedienung, nettes Ambiente. Alles war stimmig. Wir hatten ein kleines Familientreffen zu fünft und selbst die 90-jährige Oma war begeistert. Unbedingt hingehen !

A quick stop on our journey from Heidelberg to the Black Forest. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent and humorous. I highly recommend the build-your-own Cordon Bleu. I've never seen or eaten anything like it in a restaurant before. Very good.

I was in the area for three days and had dinner at the Grüner Baum every evening. Everything is just perfect here! The wine, the delicious dishes, and the service. Since I'm a vegetarian, I can only comment on the meatless dishes, and they are exceptional! Whether it was an original Schwyzer Rösti with raclette cheese or a fresh salad with lukewarm chanterelle mushrooms, everything was a delight. Add a select Riesling and my day had a fitting end. My compliments to the team at the Grüner Baum! You'll definitely see me again. 🫶

We can't remember ever having such delicious cordon bleu. Friendly service, so it was a great evening.

The service deserves 10 stars, and so does the food. My wife and I went there for dinner yesterday, and it was wonderful. A restaurant well worth supporting :) We were there again yesterday, September 8, 2025. Everything was still great, and we'd love to come back.

We tried again; one bad experience doesn't necessarily mean the restaurant isn't good. Well, how wrong we were. We initially gave it 3 stars, but now it's really only worth 1! First, we had a reservation on the terrace. There was no sign of any recognition upon arrival, so we were seated at an uncovered table in the back. We were almost in the neighbor's garden. The service was still very chaotic, and ordering drinks took almost half an hour. Ordering food went smoothly after that, but the food itself didn't arrive. They couldn't have forgotten us, because everyone around us was practically finished eating and had a cozy lamp on the table, but not us... When I asked how long it would take, the answer was: it'll be ready soon. It's already been an hour and a half! We're now cold, hungry, and grumpy. Not what you want for a pleasant evening out. Finally, we politely but firmly asked for the food so we could eat it in our apartment. The lady was sorry, and now we are even more sorry. We didn't have to pay for our drinks because of the inconvenience. That's a small thing, but we're happy to pay a good price for a delicious meal and hospitable service. In short: do this place a favor and don't eat there, absolutely not. Perhaps they'll have enough time and attention for the few guests left to provide a pleasant experience. Because the food itself is delicious. Three years ago, we wrote this about our experience: The food is very good. The cordon bleu is freshly made and offers various options for composition. Lots of varied fresh vegetables, delicious. So why only 3 stars? It takes an incredibly long time to get your food. In our case, an hour. Meanwhile, the waitress is running around like a headless chicken. It makes you incredibly nervous. The chef is no faster when the waitstaff is running around. Meanwhile, there's a second waitress who is very calm and connects with the guests. But unfortunately, the female Sybil Fawlty wants to do everything herself... for us, it was a one-time thing, but not again. If you can look past the hysterical service and have the time, then definitely go there for a meal because the quality of the food is excellent...

Excellent food, friendly service. The cordon bleu is highly recommended; they come in many different variations. The prices are reasonable. Reserving a table is advisable.

Very good food, friendly and fast service. We had the schnitzel and the Strasbourg sausage salad—both delicious.

The two of us went to the "Grüner Baum" restaurant and both had the small veal cordon bleu (approx. 200g) with mushrooms, garlic, ham, and mountain cheese, plus a side dish and sauce. The portions were huge and delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, and supportive of one another. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to the next cordon bleu, as well as dessert. And hopefully, we'll have more time to enjoy the atmosphere there a little longer.

A revelation, dishes much lighter than the average restaurant in the region. Light in the sense that there are no heavy sauces, but a selection of good salads and steaks cooked well as requested. A place to highlight!

Ate here while on holiday last week. Absolutely delicious food and very friendly service. We had rostis, cordon bleu and veggie burger - everything was amazing.

Hello, first of all, I have to commend the kitchen. I've rarely had such a well-breaded schnitzel. It has a really good coating, nice and light, and very juicy on the inside; you can tell it hasn't been through a deep fryer, but was pan-fried. The wavy coating and the crispy fries (which weren't too soft, soggy, or greasy) guarantee I'll be back. By the way, there are many dishes with hash browns.

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening here. The ambiance on the three-lane terrace is very nice and inviting. The service was good, but understaffed and a bit confused that day. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. The carrot salad was a bit peppery, but delicious. The price, value, service, and ambiance were all absolutely perfect.

It was very, very tasty, almost a bit too much. We had a gratinated vegetable rösti and a fitness plate with a small rösti and a fried egg. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. It was quite busy (Wednesday evening), but due to the rain, we could only eat inside.

Very good cuisine with a Swiss touch... We were very satisfied and can recommend the restaurant...

Excellent food. The best meal of our week-long trip to Alsace.

Friday evening- we drove there based on good reviews. Restaurant openly states it opens till 10pm; we arrived at 8.50pm and the waitress tells us they “closed at 8.30” and are not taking guests anymore. 8.30 on a Friday night, in the town center? It was obvious the staff was lazy. There weren’t other decent options in town either, so don’t count on eating well in this town.

Wonderful atmosphere in the old pub, great team and fantastic food - we felt very, very comfortable!

Very good quality of food with local products. I haven't eaten as well as I did there in a long time. Really good price too. The ambience is a bit older, but I don't think it's bothersome. Super nice and attentive service staff.

Four of us went there for dinner because of the good reviews. Ambience very nice. Staff a bit understaffed/inexperienced. The salads were probably homemade and were nicely presented, but a bit bland. The main courses throughout Ok. Here too there was a complete lack of basic spice. The Zurich Geschnetzelte consisted of pieces of veal that were too large for my taste, but the main criticism was that the sauce was unfortunately not homemade. Value for money therefore only gets an ok rating.

Top inn with excellent cuisine! We ate at the Grüner Baum in Haslach and were absolutely thrilled! The meal was a real pleasure. We had the “Berner Rösti” – crispy, perfectly seasoned and simply delicious – as well as a homemade cordon bleu with Black Forest ham, which really tasted outstanding. You can taste that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and high-quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was rustic, cozy and inviting. If you're looking for good food in a family atmosphere, this is the place for you. Absolute recommendation – we will definitely come back!

One of our favorite restaurants. Always come back just because of the food from Freiburg. Very nice service. Menus made to order are great and the price-performance level is great anyway.

The value for money and quality of the food were really outstanding; I have rarely eaten as well as I did here. My decision for the dish of the day was definitely the right one, the loin was perfectly seasoned, delicately pink and with a slight smoky aroma, the asparagus was crunchy, the sauce was creamy and had a perfect consistency, and the choice of rösti as a side dish (free choice between fries, croquettes, rösti, spaetzle, etc.) also turned out to be optimal. In addition, very friendly and attentive service and a very nice chef, who was also in the dining room. The atmosphere was also harmonious and our two dogs were also welcome, what more could you want. Overall, we felt very comfortable and had a relaxing evening. Many thanks to the team for the wonderful time. We will definitely be back on our next Black Forest vacation and can only recommend the restaurant until then. I would like to give a bonus star, so 5 will have to be enough.

We've eaten there several times and were generally satisfied. The first time was a while ago, and I ordered Bernese Rösti. However, you had to search for the potatoes under a mountain of cheese. Since my wife's meal was good, we decided to dismiss it as "it can happen" and went back. What happened to us yesterday, however, hadn't happened to me in 30 years, and it was certainly our last visit. We immediately canceled the table we had reserved for eight people for my wife's birthday. I had ordered a veal cordon bleu. The waitress returned with a half-burnt lump of meat. It was already very dark on top and completely burned underneath. The meat, of course, was on the even more badly burned side. It can happen, I thought again, and this time asked for a new, unburned cordon bleu. About 10 seconds later, the manager came rushing out of the kitchen and yelled at me in a hysterical tone that it wasn't burnt, that it was perfectly fine. My point that we'd eaten Cordon Bleu here several times before and that it had always been good didn't interest the lady much. I also pointed out that I'm perfectly capable of distinguishing a burnt Cordon Bleu from an unburned one. I showed her a picture from the internet and asked what the chef had done wrong that it wasn't burnt. "He used a different breading," was her reply. She then rushed back into the kitchen with the food and returned less than five minutes later with a new Cordon Bleu, a little lighter in color and basically fine on the outside. Then she started ranting again, saying that the cheese inside hadn't melted and that she was famous in Switzerland for her Cordon Bleu. I left the food entirely. When I pointed out that they would cook it at a lower heat, she replied that her gas grill only had two settings. She then ran around the dining room among the guests, continuing to rant at a high volume and quite hysterically about us being wrong. I've rarely experienced anything more outrageous. Mistakes can happen, but not admitting them and embarrassing the guest in the dining room like that is abysmal. I won't go there again...

We were here for the first time and had the Zurich Geschnetzelte and the Rösti Chamgignon. Both were excellently prepared, the portions were generous and the service was friendly and quick. We will definitely be coming back here soon. Table reservation is a good idea.

Super delicious food, child-friendly, very, very nice service staff. Only the waiting time until the food came could have been shorter. But it was still ok for Friday evening.

Had chicken steak with vegetables and fries.... The fries were too salty for me... Service was nice and friendly... Well, you can argue about the price, I paid 22.80 euros for the meal...🤷

We were here for lunch on a Sunday with 8 people (reservation 14 days in advance). The restaurant was about half full when we arrived. The reception was friendly, but then things got difficult. At first there were only 2 menus, then the lamb's lettuce was already out. The drinks were brought quite quickly, then the long wait began. Finally, after 1.5 hours (!!) we had our food on the table. Without any initiative on our part The staff apologized. The quality of the food varied greatly: from good chicken to burnt rösti, undercooked rump steak (although specifically ordered), to inedible veal Cordon Bleu. It's a shame.

Everything just fits here ☺️👍🏻 We would love to come back, the food was wonderful, the ambience (igloo) was also great ☺️👍🏻

Rarely have I had such a good, varied and fresh salad plate as I did here. The Cordon Bleus are huge and also super fresh and delicious. Very crispy and good fries. Friendly and fast service. Fair prices. Everything was perfect. Thank you!

Cordon bleu and Rösti pan tasted great

We came here on our visit to Wolfach. The food was good, but we wait 55’ for our food. The waitress was quite rood when we asked her about our food after waiting 45’ for our it. The service in general was really. When we finally got the food, we tried to order more drinks, and she was taking our order walking away, so for example we want to order an alcohol free beer (but they have 3 different and we want one in particular) so we could only say alcohol free beer and she was already gone, and brought us the one she wanted. We order 1 salad as a side dish, which came as a starter (very fast, was on the table after 5’). And we also order 4 rösti, and 2 wienerschnitzel. The 4 rösti we wait 55’ and the schnitzel 60’. It was too late to order dessert. I would not recommend this place.

We (13 adults, 1 child) went to dinner at the Grüner Baum today. Very warm welcome (landlady?). Service (blonde woman) top: quick, very attentive and very friendly. We all praised the food. There was schnitzel and cordon bleu with spaetzle and fries. I would particularly like to highlight the cordon bleu, which is tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The side salad is an appetizer in terms of quantity. 5 different salads, including 2 leaf lettuces. The cream sauce could be improved. If you cook at such a high level, you can make the sauce even more delicious. I give the ambience 5 stars because, among everything else, everything is extremely clean, including the toilets. I really enjoy coming back to the Grüner Baum when I visit Haslach.

Had a lovely meal, there are a lot of options in cordon bleu, schnitzel and röti. The waitresses were very nice and there was a very nice ambience with a lot of locals.

Two schnitzels Viennese style 8mm with soufflé breading and fresh crispy fries. Classically good.

The best food there is, you have to try the delicious Rösti, I've been here several times and can only recommend it.

Everything was great, Ariel, she helped us a lot in choosing what dishes to eat and she has been very nice to us. This restaurant is great to enjoy Black Forest cuisine. The dishes are strong, it seems not, but yes!

The negative example for several years: waiting for food for over an hour without warning, then asking and being put off, then the meat was supposed to be put in the pan. I gave up after 1.5 hours and was allowed to pay for my drink. The treatment among the staff was also shameful for the guests. Too bad for everyone.

This is exactly how a restaurant should be. Very tasty food, great selection and variety, attentive, friendly service. We had great hash browns. Once Black Forest and once Bernese. You have to try this. We'll definitely come back.

Actually, the sixth star on Google is missing for a fair rating from the Green Tree. 5 is actually an understatement. You can really order whatever you want from the menu and you won't be disappointed once. A clear recommendation for those traveling through, otherwise you'll really miss something here 😉

The food is really great and the service is actually good. But when the boss isn't there, the staff can get pretty rude. A pity....

Beautiful, rustic inn, all dishes are freshly prepared to a high quality with a lot of love and skill. The Cordon Bleues in particular, in many delicious variations, are always a pleasure. Despite the stress and a lot of work, the landlady and her entire team are always extremely friendly, competent and helpful. Prices absolutely reasonable. It's best to make a reservation as there is always a lot going on.

Best restaurant in Haslach. Swiss cuisine at German prices. There is also a bowling alley. The chnobli bread is a must! We like it there so much that we celebrated our wedding there too :)

To Go bestellt, 30 Minuten Wartezeit angekündigt. Vor Ort nochmals ca. 30 Minuten gewartet. Auf dem Nachhauseweg roch es schon sehr angebrannt aus den Tüten. Zuhause ausgepackt, Schnitzel und Cordon Bleu angebrannt. 7 Kroketten 7,50€. Pommes total matschig, als hätte man sie noch gar nicht frittiert/gebacken. Spätzle geschmacklos und angebrannt. Portionsgrößen sind wirklich sehr ordentlich, aber wenn alles angebrannt schmeckt ist das auch nichts wert. Insgesamt haben wir für 3 Personen 80€ gezahlt. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht. Es war viel los im Restaurant, dann sagt man lieber einfach mal ab, anstatt Gästen so etwas zu servieren.

Cordon bleu und Rösti sind super, es ist wie ein bisschen in der Schweiz.

Im sehr beliebten Gasthaus einen Tisch zu ergattern, ist selbst mit Reservierung nicht immer ganz einfach. Einmal geschafft findet sich in der Regel ein naher Parkplatz und man sitzt jetzt nach Jahreszeit unter dem namensgebenden Grünen Baum oder in der gemütlichen Gaststube. Der Service hat bei Volllast ordentlich zu kämpfen, deshalb ist ggf mit auch mal längeren Wartezeiten zu rechnen - vor und nach der Bestellung, bei Speisen wie auch bei Getränken. Ist dann alles da sehen die durchaus großen Portionen sehr appetitlich aus, hinterlassen aber leider nicht den ganzen großen Geschmackseindruck (wir hatten fünf verschiedene Gerichte quer durch die Karte). Insgesamt also ein gemischtes Bild, nicht wirklich schlecht aber auch nicht ganz super an einem sehr gut besuchten Sommerferienabend - im Zweifelsfall für das Restaurant: 4 Sterne.

Wir kamen mit einer Gruppe von 15 Personen. Innerhalb einer halben Stunde waren alle versorgt und der Hunger gestillt. Gerne zum weiter empfehlen
