A friendly place to relax with a cold drink after kayaking...or during a trip. A place worth recommending.

Super great location, really fantastic. Staff friendly. Food looked good, but we didn't eat anything because the prices were extremely exorbitant. I would even call it cheeky... It's a shame, otherwise everything is great.

Food was good but too expensive. The scenery is great, it's very crowded at lunchtime and it's best to reserve a table as many boats stop here. Unfortunately, only cash payment is possible, as there is no internet here, nor is it mobile.

Very crowded. Staff was very friendly. Food was very overpriced, but it wasn't really good. Comparable to a canteen. Except that for that money you could probably eat in the canteen every day for a week. In 2024 we discussed digitalization around the world and unfortunately it is not possible to pay by card there!?!

There is a small selection of dishes. Unfortunately, no card payment is accepted. The beer garden was closed.

This beautifully located inn is located in the middle of the Spreewald. The four of us were there 15 minutes before closing time and were still able to order everything. The Plins with applesauce or cherry compote are highly recommended. The ice cream sundaes were also super tasty. We'd love to come back.

Flair and charm play a big role here. You will find a very well-kept restaurant with an idyllic beer garden. The waiters are on the ball and very accommodating. The food selection is large and very tasty.

Food was good, but due to the location they seem to want to make a lot of profit here. The only thing that is far above average here is the prices. The food really isn't bad, but a schnitzel for €20 is absurd.

Enjoy your meal. Lots of hustle and bustle in the season. Prices normal. If you come by boat one hour time.

Historic log cabin with a good harbor, also for canoeists. Great location towards Hochwald. But it can get crowded around lunchtime, as the vehicles reserve a lot of tables.

As many have already mentioned: only cash payment possible. The waiter was nice. The price-performance ratio for food, however, is poor. Of course, given the location, it is to be expected that the prices will be slightly higher. But the business here goes beyond the mark. It is estimated that the prices are 30 to 40% higher than what you would pay for comparable food in Berlin. I think that's excessive, as the quality of the food was just average. The location isn't worth that much after all. In addition, the toilets cost extra and the toilet paper was missing. What really bothered me were the many smokers on the terrace. It would be nice if there were areas with tables for smokers that were a little further away from the non-smoking tables.

A must in the Spreewald. What the Hofbräuhaus is in Munich is the Wotschowska in the Spreewald.

Rowed in the boat and was pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere. The lentils were also really highly recommended

€12.50 for pasta with tomato sauce is pretty cheeky. There's also +1€ for cheese and then there are three crumbs of cheese on top. Not recommended, just take your own food with you!

Nice place but all the dishes that we have ordered were super bland and expensive. Nice to have a beer but don't order any food!

Was there again as part of Rock in Wotschofska. It was my first concert there. I really thought it was great, the scenery was great, and the supplies were okay. Otherwise I've often been there and had a bite to eat. Everything was great and I can highly recommend it.

Great food and atmosphere. What business in the year 2024 is cash only??? And no, a sign not in English is not enough for a tourist restaurant. I had to make a wire transfer in order to pay, since I only found that out in the end of the meal. Ridiculous.

It's good to arrive a little before 12pm to easily get a seat. From 12 p.m. the larger boats come for lunch. You cannot bring your own food here and picnics are not permitted. Toilet available and clean. The food is averagely priced and the portions are filling but not huge.

Quite good, but a bit overpriced. 4 cucumbers and some bread for 10 euros. But the cucumbers are delicious.

Although this is a restaurant with a really large number of seats (you can quickly have one or two prejudices about it🤪) I would like to express my unconditional recommendation. We were served very quickly and the food came to the table quickly and hot. The menu was adequate and manageable. The prices are very fair. Everyone at the table had a really tasty meal and the portions were generous. I would particularly like to highlight the great service staff. Very active (work was recognized immediately) and extremely friendly. You rarely find something like this! We will be back definitely! The only fly in the ointment: It would be great if there was a notice on the website that only cash payment is possible. We would have liked to eat more, but unfortunately paying by card was not possible.

Excellent food, great service (we understood each other in Slovak). We were repeatedly on bikes and canoes. I recommend the local specialty cucumber soup.

Very nice restaurant with a beer garden. As always, I'd love to come back. But…. Dear Wotschofska team. But today it was a bit too much of a good thing. The “Wotschofska Farmer’s Feast”. A meal that can be served, but not for €22.30!!! 3 warmed slices of meat with cold crackers. It was tasty, but you can get the same thing at the local butcher every lunchtime for €8.90. That's €15.80 because we're in the Spreewald and that's good. It's also a shame that despite the request, the restaurant manager didn't dare to accept the constructive criticism himself. It’s not every day that the question “did it taste good” can be answered with “good”.

Great place right on the river, so easily accessible by boat and bike.

We were guests at a wedding reception. At 31 degrees, the employees were friendly, approachable and professional in the best sense of the word. The buffet was extremely tasty. The hall was finely decorated. The outside area is so clean. Thank you very much for this experience.

The location is worth five stars 🌟 otherwise there is no star. We asked the service staff twice if they would bring us drinks, and the answer was "a colleague is coming soon" and it stayed that way!

Service okay, the location is of course great and perfect for a detour on the boat trip. We had the beef roulade with red cabbage and potatoes and pasta with tomato sauce. The roulade was super tender and very well seasoned, and the red cabbage was definitely homemade too. Overall very tasty and definitely a recommendation. However, the noodles are not recommended, there was only a mini blob of sauce on the noodles, the taste was good but there was far too little sauce and therefore dry.

Nicely located. But the lunch prices blew me away. Portion of goulash e.g. from 20 euros. Drinks and ice cream sundaes, however, were OK. Beer 5.40 and ice cream sundae. Approximately 8 euros. So good stop but better without lunch.

Der Spreewald ist ein wahres Naturerlebnis. Hier erwartet man, dass Sensibilisierung für die Umwelt eingesetzt hat. Von wegen. Im Selbstbedienungsbereich werden Kaffee und Speisen in/auf Pappe serviert und es werden Einwegbestecke ausgehändigt. Traurig. Die selbst zu zapfende Apfelschorle war schal...eine wahre Erfrischung. Nicht einmal die Basics werden hier beherrscht. Das Schlimmste an der ganzen Location ist die Tatsache, dass der Gast als halbwegs debil behandelt wird. Überall Schilder mit Verboten und Anweisungen, wie man sich zu verhalten hat. Peinlich und absolut abwegig. Der Sozialismus, wo die Menschen gegängelt wurden, ist schon lange vorbei. Hier hat keine Weiterentwicklung stattgefunden. Die Zeit ist wahrhaftig stehengeblieben. Zum Negativen. Ach ja, dass hier keine Kartenzahlungen angenommen werden, ist auch so richtig daneben. Selbstverständlich wird in Deutschland noch Bargeld akzeptiert. Leider gehört es nicht mehr zum Mainstream. Es wäre doch phantastisch, wenn sich die Crew endlich auf den Gast fokussieren würde, der sich auf gute Getränke und Speisen freuen würde, der neben dem Bargeld auch gerne seine Kartenzahlung zücken würde und der sich meistens adäquat verhält und den man nicht an jeder Ecke belehren muss. Bis dahin bleiben wir dieser Gaststätte endgültig fern und raten allen Paddlern und Radfahrern, dasselbe zu tun. Qualität und adäquates Verhalten von Gastronomen kann man durch Wegbleiben deutlich beeinflussen.

Nice rest house in the middle of the Spreewald

Wir waren heute während einer Radtour im Wotschofska. Dieses Restaurant mitten im Spreewald ist nur zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder per Kanu erreichbar. Dort wurden einige Szenen der bekannten Spreewaldkrimireihe gedreht. Das wollten wir uns mal anschauen. Aufgrund vieler kritischer Bewertungen hinsichtlich der Speisequalität und Serviceunfreundlichkeit wollten wir dort eigentlich nicht einkehren, aber der wunderschöne, direkt am Wasser liegenden Biergarten mit Bedienung (!!!) bewegte uns dann doch, eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Wir bestellten die Spreewälder Fischsuppe, die sehr lecker schmeckte und wirklich genug Fischstückchen enthielt, woran man ja gut sparen könnte, wenn es dem Wirt nur auf Touristenabzocke ankäme. Dem ist ganz offensichtlich nicht so. Im Laufe unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir mit drei verschiedenen Kellnern zu tun. Nicht einer von ihnen war auch nur minimal unfreundlich. Im Gegenteil: Jeder war freundlich und zugewandt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

We ate in the restaurant there and were very impressed by the quality and price-performance ratio combined with the wonderful location in the Spreewald. The service was also very nice and quick. We had goulash and a platter of sauerkraut, dumplings, sausage and smoked pork - all very tasty and well cooked. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert afterwards... We're looking forward to the next time!

Can't make a judgment. After the waitress successfully ignored us for 25 minutes and after several attempts to order, we drove to Polenzschänke. We were well looked after there.

So Wotschofska is always worth a visit. Given the prices and the quality of the food, it should be clear to everyone that this is a tourist hotspot. I think that 5.90 euros for a meatball roll is simply too much. But it's up to each person to decide whether they "treat themselves" to it.

The restaurant is a good place for lunch and offers two sections: self-service and on-site dining. The food is okay, but not particularly outstanding. The space is large but quite crowded so it can be difficult to find a spot, especially if you have a kayak with you. It is not possible to pay by card, which should be taken into account.

Very pleasantly surprised - we arrived on Saturday afternoon at 3.30 p.m. with great weather, the beer garden was well attended but not overcrowded. We were served very friendly and had a delicious dessert. So I definitely can't confirm bad reviews! Gladly again.

We had a very good lunch, I had beef with horseradish sauce - just great - just like before... Hefeweizen, chilled and very tasty... There were four of us and we'll be back soon. Sehr schön gelegen und von daher schon die Kahnfahrt oder den Fussmarsch von Lübbenau wert. Leider leidet auch hier die Qualität durch den ständigen Touristenstrom. Die Preise sind noch vernünftig, passen aber nicht zu dem etwas lieblos dargebotenen Essen. Da hilft auch nicht, dass es sich um einheimische Spezialitäten handelt, auch die kann man ansprechender und geschmacklich besser servieren. Der Service ist ok, macht aber das Essen nicht wett.

A beautiful spot on the canal. You can paddle right up. The Radler on tap was excellent, and there are several local specials to try. Service was quick, the food was classic, the beer cold, the views lovely.

ONLY CASH! Be ready for huge-size dishes! Just what you need after paddling! Only German cuisine here. The staff speaks also English. I can totally recommend: 🥩Schnitzel with fresh white asparagus and 🍒Kirschplins

The Gasthaus Wotschofska is located in the middle of the Spreewald. It always invites you to take a break when you're out on a paddle boat. It is very relaxing because you are in the middle of nature. The food is delicious and not expensive. The staff is friendly and quick, no wish is left unfulfilled, just great. Simply a must if you are on holiday in the Spreewald.

Unfortunately there is a point deduction because card payment is not possible. I think you can generate more sales if this is possible. You don't always have a lot of cash with you.
