For Father's Day and the crowd, everything was perfect. Well organized.

A nice stop during kayaking for a coffee, beer or a cookie. I recommend it.

Everyone goes there, it's very touristy.

We were here on May 20, 2025 by boat and took a break. We ordered a Wortschofska Brotzeit (a kind of farmer's ham sandwich). It was very disappointing. For €19.50, you simply expect more. There were two slices of smoked pork, two slices of bacon (a kind of farmer's ham), a small waffle dish with a dab of horseradish and lard, the lard being predominant, a thin horseradish cracker, a tiny dab of herb butter, but where was the cheese stick? It had been forgotten, which can happen now. We asked the waiter where it was, he took the already started platter away and came back with the same platter and a carelessly placed strip of cheese (supermarket). We also found white cabbage salad and four different types of cucumber. We were served four slices of bread, in the form of a baguette. The whole thing was presented rather carelessly. The price-performance ratio is not at all right. I should also mention that this platter was for one person. There were two of us eating it, which is our problem, but that's not the point.

We (10 people) were there for the first time on Saturday – we stopped there spontaneously by kayak. We had to wait a while for a table outside because it was extremely busy. But that wasn't a problem. Despite it being so busy, the service was EXCELLENT! The drinks and food we ordered arrived very quickly and tasted delicious. Unfortunately, I can only give it 4 stars because the restrooms were terrible. The floor was sticky, wet, and dirty. The restrooms were also very dirty (sticky, hair, dirt) – one of the restrooms was missing toilet paper. I found that very unfortunate, and that's why I'm deducting a star. Otherwise, everything was excellent.

We reached the inn via hiking trail (also possible by car) or, in typical Spreewald style, by boat. Once we arrived, we treated ourselves to beef roulade, schnitzel, and other delicacies. The service was very friendly and prompt. However, we were there early (11:20 a.m.). The big rush came with the first boat tours (the 5.5-hour tour). Starting this summer, card payments are also accepted. But there's no cell service - neither O2 nor Telekom.

Very well-maintained facilities. The outdoor area is well-stocked with wood chips, so there's nothing to worry about even in damp or wet weather. The prices are "Spreewald-compliant" ;-) By that, I mean that the Spreewald bonus is already being heavily exploited. Why is that even necessary? With so many people and so much turnover, do we really need to charge these prices? But all in all, a very nice stop on our paddling tour through the Spreewald.

Nice ambience, very tasty food, we had very well fried zander with asparagus that wasn't overcooked and tasty potatoes, I can only recommend it, the beef roulade was also very tender and tasty; quick service, very clean toilets.

I don't live far away, but I was there for the very first time. We cycled the 17 km, and it was really great. Friendly service, a beautiful and quiet area. We'll be back.

The prices are quite high, but the quality of the products is really good. I wasn't expecting that. The staff was very friendly and the service was good. The location is very good. It's also within easy walking distance of Lübbenau.

It's very, very nice there. Unfortunately, you can only pay in cash, which is problematic in such a remote area. Hence, one star less for service. Luckily, someone in the group had enough cash with them.

We've been coming to the restaurant for 8 years to go on vacation and always hike to the restaurant...but this year everything was different. 80% of the tables outside were reserved without specifying when...food wasn't from the main menu that was on the table...card payment wasn't possible

Well, we wanted to order food and apparently the food isn't on the menu. Then why is the card out? Staff was very nice. Unfortunately it's mass processing and not comfortable. Better go to the Frischkönig.

Only criticism. There were menus out there from which you couldn't order anything. Please just don't put them on the tables. But the plinse was delicious as always.

This restaurant is located in the deepest Spreewald. Very good food, nice service staff. There was nothing to complain about. Definitely worth a visit.

Food was a matter of taste. For the ambience and the price, we expected better quality of cakes and noodles. No card payment possible. It was the only restaurant on our route. Toilet quite clean.

Basically quite nice. Pricing is probably due to the tourist hotspot. However, if you are looking for such prices, card payment should be possible.

Extremely large, everything prepared, simple menu but very good food

Food and drinks were absolutely fine. You pay a higher price for the service because the inn cannot be reached by car. It's a shame that card payment is not possible.

If you are in the Spreewald, then go! Even if the hut is full: nice service, good to very good cuisine, regional products...playground for the little ones.

Beautiful tourist town, crossing six bridges from Lübbenau with your bike and trailer, the ambience made up for the effort. The iced coffee was more of a cold chocolate with a lot of cream, but OK.

Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern im Rahmen einer Radtour hier. Das Gasthaus mit großer Terrasse liegt idyllisch mitten im Spreewald. Das Getränke und Speisenangebot ist okay. Die Angestellten wirkten gestresst, obwohl die Terrasse nicht einmal voll besetzt war. Absolutes No Go: man akzeptiert im Jahr 2025 nur Bargeld.

A nice excursion restaurant that can only be reached on foot, by canoe or bicycle.

There is very good food and a large selection of drinks. The staff is friendly. Which is not possible for such a busy restaurant. You always have to have cash with you. No card payment possible.

Great restaurant with a “small menu” in April, as it’s not yet in season. I missed the typical meals, like lard sandwiches with cucumbers or something similar on the menu. The zander from the menu (no cucumber salad on offer) was completely over-seasoned. Portion but generous. Some staff unmotivated. Ambience really great but you can also get that elsewhere in the Spreewald. The restaurant can be reached after a 3.5 km walk or by canoe.

The rather average rating is incomprehensible. The ambience and location are unique and the staff is friendly. Of course, the ban on picnics and other measures are clearly stated, but this is understandable in a heavily frequented tourist spot. Very nice playground directly between the pier for the (private) canoes and the large outdoor area. Very fast service even with high occupancy.

Very nice historical excursion restaurant with a great ambience and in the beautiful landscape of the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve. Only accessible on foot or by bike.

We've been there many times. It's always a nice trip there, whether by canoe, bike or on foot. The food is always really good. We went to the slaughter festival with a few people. The buffet was excellent. The ambience is rustic and clean, overall a pleasant atmosphere. The service varies from very good, fast and attentive to a few exceptions that were obviously uncoordinated, which can happen from time to time. Overall, everyone is very friendly and accommodating. It is important to note that you can only pay in cash there.

Medium friendly service, no vegan options. When asked, only potatoes with coleslaw and boring pasta with tomato sauce, although after waiting for a quarter of an hour there were no more potatoes.

A wonderful restaurant in the middle of the Spreewald. After a nice walk we stopped in and quickly got a table without a reservation. The food was extremely good. It tasted like mother's. We would always like to come back. The spicy food is quick and good, the people are friendly, the restaurant is very rustic, just wonderful ☺️🤤🤗 The selection of dishes. The quality of the food is very good. Everyone can find something to eat there. The surroundings of the restaurant are very quaint, very beautiful. We were there in winter and there was a mulled wine stand set up in the beer garden. From there, barges travel towards Lübbenau and Burg. We definitely didn't visit this restaurant for the last time - it was very pleasant☺️

Great location, right on the water. Not accessible by car. There is plenty of boat parking available. We were here before midday and it was still pleasantly empty. There is a self-service area and an area where you are served at the table. We were in the self-service area, Latte M. and a piece of poppy seed cake for just under €10 is a bit pricey, fish rolls €5.60 aren't exactly cheap either. Despite everything, you should stop by, it's rustic and cozy.

One of the most famous excursion restaurants in the heart of the Spreewald. Reachable on foot and by bike (which you then have to carry over a few bridges), by paddle boat and easily by boat, e.g. from Lübbenau. Playgrounds for the children, souvenirs for tourists, food and drinks for hungry and thirsty visitors. Always worth a trip.

Very friendly service, cherry plinse was very tasty. But the music in the beer garden doesn't have to be there.

Cozy guest house in the middle of the forest in a beautiful setting. A walk or bike ride there is always worthwhile for nature lovers.

The Alder Island is within walking distance and is a highlight in both summer and winter.

We stopped there after a hike in the Spreewald and actually just wanted to take a short break. Unfortunately the snack area was closed so we went to the inn. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere was cozy and the food was delicious. We had pasta with chanterelles and game goulash. The prices were not low, but acceptable for an inn where there is no competition or alternative in the larger area.

The lentils were very tasty. The service was very friendly. The outdoor area is lovingly designed and decorated.

We had drinks here after hiking. I didn't like the beer. The location is nice and pleasant.

By 5 p.m. there is no more food

Everything so far so good, the only drawback was that the self-service area was closed due to a lack of staff. I just wanted a bockwurst with salad or another little something. So I had to sit down and “make do” with a full meal. Of course it was also a cost issue.

An absolute must. Cannot be reached by car. 4 km on foot, bike & boat ride. Very good service and absolutely nice staff. Gladly again.

Very crowded. Staff was very friendly. Food was very overpriced, but it wasn't really good. Comparable to a canteen. Except that for that money you could probably eat in the canteen every day for a week. In 2024 we discussed digitalization around the world and unfortunately it is not possible to pay by card there!?!

Food was good, but due to the location they seem to want to make a lot of profit here. The only thing that is far above average here is the prices. The food really isn't bad, but a schnitzel for €20 is absurd.

This beautifully located inn is located in the middle of the Spreewald. The four of us were there 15 minutes before closing time and were still able to order everything. The Plins with applesauce or cherry compote are highly recommended. The ice cream sundaes were also super tasty. We'd love to come back.

Flair and charm play a big role here. You will find a very well-kept restaurant with an idyllic beer garden. The waiters are on the ball and very accommodating. The food selection is large and very tasty.

Historic log cabin with a good harbor, also for canoeists. Great location towards Hochwald. But it can get crowded around lunchtime, as the vehicles reserve a lot of tables.

As many have already mentioned: only cash payment possible. The waiter was nice. The price-performance ratio for food, however, is poor. Of course, given the location, it is to be expected that the prices will be slightly higher. But the business here goes beyond the mark. It is estimated that the prices are 30 to 40% higher than what you would pay for comparable food in Berlin. I think that's excessive, as the quality of the food was just average. The location isn't worth that much after all. In addition, the toilets cost extra and the toilet paper was missing. What really bothered me were the many smokers on the terrace. It would be nice if there were areas with tables for smokers that were a little further away from the non-smoking tables.

A must in the Spreewald. What the Hofbräuhaus is in Munich is the Wotschowska in the Spreewald.

Rowed in the boat and was pleasantly surprised by the great atmosphere. The lentils were also really highly recommended
