The schnitzels are excellent, the mashed potatoes have been better. The liver, however, was fantastic. Super friendly and attentive service! A quaint old pub; if you like retro, this is the place for you. Otherwise, it's great that there's a place to stop for a bite to eat right in the middle of the region, where you'd least expect it! It's definitely worth supporting!

Because of the many good reviews, I went to this restaurant especially, but was unfortunately very disappointed... one of the three daily specials was unfortunately sold out... so I ordered the other two... it took quite a while to heat up the food... but that wouldn't have mattered if it had tasted good... the chicken curry was still OK... but the Königsberger Klopse are probably not the house specialty... especially since there were a lot of large chunks of bread in the minced meat (see photo)... not very appetizing... the price was rather cheap... but that didn't save the day... I'd rather pay a bit more if it tasted good... the beer (e.g., Füchschen Alt on tap) was delicious... the service was OK... but nothing more... and the chef and manager seemed to be one person... and on top of that, they were also the sole entertainers here that day... I was constantly feeling a certain amount of stress... especially towards the end when it came to compiling the bill... everything was very hectic... inside it smelled strongly of a deep fryer and not so Fresh grease...at the counter, everything seemed very messy and chaotic, and in some places not exactly clean...so all in all, it wasn't a very nice overall package, which doesn't invite another visit...a real shame, considering everything looked pretty good on the website and in the photos...but for that very reason, I still wish the restaurant good luck and success...because a place like this needs down-to-earth gastronomy...and if they tweak the aforementioned screws, they may succeed...

In addition to top-notch schnitzel and steak, the restaurant always manages to surprise guests with special dishes, whether Asian or fish. The salmon with mashed potatoes and vegetables in a saffron sauce was amazing... the Vollmer Pinot Gris was a perfect match. The service staff are on the ball, and the chef is very personable. We come here often.

We were invited to the Christmas party there. There was soup, venison goulash, (top) dumplings and red cabbage. Schnitzel with fries for the children. Very friendly service, but it reached its limits due to the many guests in the restaurant.

It was my first time in this restaurant and I was really impressed: the service was very attentive and friendly. The steak we chose for €25 was simply top. Cooked to perfection and very tender. The side dishes were also perfect. You have to like the restaurant charm from the past. But if everything else is right, you can easily ignore it. I will definitely come back!

You can eat and drink very well there

Schnitzel is delicious but unfortunately the sauces are nothing, they all look the same, very thick, no fresh herbs in it, hardly any mushrooms. As if they came out of the bucket. Otherwise nice people there, service is OK but there is room for improvement... they are just temporary workers... students or something.

Great inn. We ate schnitzel, which was very tasty. The seats outside were all already reserved but the staff put a table and chairs out for us. We thought that was really great, thank you again. All in all, we can only recommend the inn.

We came here often a few years ago - for a beer or for dinner. Then the restaurant closed and we forgot about it. But this year we found out that it has long since reopened. So our path led us here again and gave us a real surprise. The restaurant itself is unchanged. An old charm of a former restaurant, which brings a certain coziness for us - I prefer something like that to sterile, ultra-modern facilities where I don't feel comfortable in everyday clothes :) .. but that's only mentioned in passing. The real surprise for me is the food there. Here you will find a small weekly menu that changes every now and then. And there are often different directions. Sometimes it's a pulled pork burger, sometimes it's foreign dishes, sometimes it's just plain home-style dishes. But no matter what you try there, it just tastes extremely delicious. The preparation is very loving, the dishes are attractively presented, and small details are often the icing on the cake. Things you wouldn't expect in a "village pub". We look forward to new delights every time. Not to forget the really good schnitzel, which is available every day, but also as a special dish on Mondays at an unbeatable price. The guests are also very praiseworthy. Always super friendly, you just feel welcome and welcome here. And that too on the first visit. This doesn't happen that often these days; you usually have to earn more than politeness with repeated visits - that's not the case here. An absolute recommendation from us - we wish there was something like this in our town and we didn't always have to drive "so far" for it :)

Worst restaurant experience in a long time. We waited 1.5 hours for the food, two main courses + fried potatoes were not available, although the latter was only announced when the food was brought to the table. An order was forgotten. Food quality was average and didn't do justice to the price. Only the young waitress tried hard and did a very good job.

Das Essen ist hervorragend, hätte ich in so einem Lokal nicht erwartet. Eine wirklich knusprige Gans mit leckeren Beilagen. Freundliche Bedienung, leckeres Bier, was will man mehr? Lediglich die Gaststätte an sich ist halt nicht aktuell, ein schönes Restaurant darf man nicht erwarten.

Sehr gutes Essen mit wirklich sehr freundlichem und beflissenem Personal. Die Herrentoilette ist dagegen eine Mutprobe, die aber bestanden werden kann, wenn man seine Atemtechnik intelligent einsetzt. Sprich Luft anhalten.

Nice freshly cooked dinner with good ingredients and very tasteful. I was on the 57 highway and because of a traffic jam I left the road for some random dinner at a random place. That can go two ways! In this case I really enjoyed a perfect Wiener Schnitzel with pommes at a friendly rate. This place is very close to the autobahn so you hardly loose time!

Reopened under new management and along with the usual Deutsche Küche there are some great curry dishes. New beer selection too. Worth a visit. Phone ahead for a fantastic veggie curry.

Im Biergarten gab es heute (Mittwoch) Köstlichkeiten vom Grill. Bei den Beilagen konnte man sich aus einer großen Auswahl selbst bedienen. Alles hat fantastisch geschmeckt und war extrem preiswert.

Gemütlicher biergarten, freundliches personal, essen sah sehr gut aus - meins war sehr lecker und portionsmäßig voll ausreichend, da etwas abgelegen nicht so überlaufen und gut für radfahrer wir kommen gerne wieder

Wir sind eher zufällig hier eingekehrt und müssen sagen , wir sind sehr angetan . Wir werden nicht das letzte Mal dort gewesen sein . Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, selbst unser Viebeiner wurde zuvorkommend bedient. Das Essen war frisch zubereitet und sehr sehr lecker.

Nettes und neues Pächterpaar... Essen ist hervorragend. Koch versteht sein Handwerk und eingeführte Tageskarte kann sich nicht nur sehen lassen sondern schmeckt auch sehr gut. Der große Biergarten lädt zum verweilen ein und auch bei größerer Personenzahl sowie Veranstaltung bittet man ein Buffet an wo jeder satt von wird. Es werden nur frische Zutaten angeboten und nicht wie bei so manchen aus der Fertigtüte. Kann hier nur eine Weiterempfehlung geben und kommen als Gast immer gerne ins Lokal.

Nach der Neueröffnung vor 2 Wochen waren wir jetzt mit dem Rad hier und konnten die ersten Speisen probieren. Schnitzel gut und günstig. Salat mit Ziegenkäse hat unserem "Gourmet" lecker geschmeckt. Die Currywurst war schön angerichtet. Auf jeden Fall die Nr. 1 in Neuss Selikum 👍

Neuer Pächter neues Glück ?! Das Essen hat sich auf jeden Fall gebessert. Waren heute das erste Mal seid Neueröffnung hier Essen. Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes und extra Süßkartoffel Pommes . Pommes mit Chicken Nuggets für den kleinen. Portionen sind anständig und machen satt. Vorab gibt es einen kleinen Brotkorb mit Kreuterdip. Die Schnitzel frisch paniert ,sehr zart und nicht zu trocken . Die Pommes nicht 0815 sondern die grossen Holland Pommes. Die Jägersoße lecker nicht der fertige Standart. Die Nuggets mit grober Panade knusprig nicht zu trocken . Die Süßkartoffeln sind auch lecker .Preise sind angemessen. Kann ich wieder mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder.

Die Gaststätte ist idyllisch im dörflichen Stadtteil Elvekum gelegen. Eine große Terrasse mit altem Baumbestand lädt im Sommer zum Essen ein. Die Portionen sind groß (eher nicht für Vegetarier :-) ), lecker und ihr Geld wert.

Ein Dorfgasthaus mit gemütlicher Atmosphäre und entsprechender gut-bürgerlicher Küche zu sehr moderaten Preisen. Dazu ein schönes Bierangebot. Was will man in einem Dorf mehr? Hervorzuheben sind die Sonderaktionen, wie das Sonntagsmenü oder das Grillen im Sommer im schönen Biergarten.

Wer einen Gaststättenbesuch mit Anschluß an die Dorffamilie sucht und einem "Verzällchen" nicht abgeneigt ist, der sollte diese Gaststätte besuchen. Die Speisekarte ist sehr überschaubar und mehr für den kleinen Hunger geeignet. Gepflegter Biergarten! im Sommer nutzbar.
