Delicious to eat in a brewery, not my thing for going out to eat regularly

Sour kidneys, which you rarely get anywhere else, were OK, but I've eaten tastier ones. Chocolate cake was delicious again, but there was always too much powdered sugar

Getting the wrong food. Cocoa and cappuccino without biscuits or anything. Very unloving. Unfortunately it takes a long time to be served and then you have to wait. Ambiance was ok, everyone liked the food. Even with the little faux pas.

Nice brewery in downtown Neuss. When the weather is good, there are numerous outdoor spaces in front of and behind the brewery. The brewery is tastefully decorated and offers plenty of seating in the dining room. The selection of food is varied and delicious. Gladly again!

We were here a few weeks ago and were sitting in the beer garden on the market square. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice. We'd love to come back.

The place where it is located is very beautiful and well located, with beautiful views and very quiet. The attention was quite good. It must be said that there was only one waiter who took orders. The food was very good, we ordered Schnitzel which, apparently, is a typical German food. It was pretty good. Of course, if you like to eat with bread, they don't include it, although we don't ask for it either because it doesn't seem to be customary in Germany to eat with bread. The quality-price ratio is good. A little further down there is an area with more eating options.

Stopped by for a little refreshment based on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Beer and Mettbrötchen were just the right thing.

Cozy brewery with good food and great service

We sat outside and what stood out during our visit was the friendliness of the waiter. Coarse bratwurst with sauerkraut and puree and Caesar salad with chicken breast, cherry tomatoes, croutons and parmesan shavings with Caesar dressing were our choices. Everything was delicious and the portions were sufficient.

Today we were served sour wheat beer. The waiter denied this; only brought us a new sample even though we originally ordered two. Totally ignored us after that. Now let's be honest: How much Hefeweizen is drunk in the Rhineland? While collecting the money he said: "I don't drink Hefeweizen?" That was not professional and customer friendly. An apology would have been enough, as the beer was ultimately paid for at a hefty €5.80 ×2. This experience left a bad aftertaste.

Nice atmosphere. Basically a classic brewery. Food served reasonably and tasty. Staff quick and friendly. I can recommend it.

Was auffällig bei unserem Besuch war die Freundlichkeit des Kellners, was in Brauhäusern i. d R. unüblich ist. Interieur ist immer Geschmacksache, hat uns aber gefallen. Hatten zu Viert einen schönen Tisch, der Lautstärkepegel ist schon hoch ob der vielen Kleingruppen über 6 Personen. Die Qualität des Essens war bei uns gemischt. Ich hatte ein angeblich paniertes Schnitzel mit Fritten und Beilagensalat. Salat, extrem überschaubare Menge, war soweit ok. Das Schnitzel mit weicher Panade wurde auf die Fritten geworfen, sodass diese schnell weich wurde. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass Fleisch als auch die Jägersauce Convenience Food waren, d h. Tütensauce und Fleisch aus TK, aufgetaut und kurz in die Friseuse geworfen. Fazit: Um beim leckeren Bier den Bauch voll zu bekommen, ist das Vogthaus völlig angemessen. Um jedoch gut essen zu gehen, nicht zu empfehlen

After almost 2 years living in Düsseldorf, this has become one of our favorite places for classic German dishes, good beer and wine, with a great and cozy atmosphere. 💯% recommend!

Generally speaking, I can recommend this location without reservation. The food was freshly prepared and actually served hot. There were three of us there and we ate a burger, a portion of asparagus and the fried fish. All three dishes were very good. The waiter was attentive and looked and asked for drinks several times. The location itself is reminiscent of a modern brewery, I really liked it. As I read, the traditional restaurant was completely renovated in 2021, which is why, in my opinion, the modern design.

I've been there several times with friends. It's very sociable and the food is delicious. Unfortunately there is Afri Cola etc. there, which is unfortunately not my thing at all. The prices are a bit high.

We have eaten at the Vogthaus several times. The food tastes very good and the staff is attentive & friendly. I also like the ambience, but it is very loud when there is a lot of activity. This isn't a bad thing for me personally, but it did bother the seniors I was with. But we were also there during prime time. Overall, from my perspective, I would 100% recommend the Vogthaus.

We were there late lunchtime during the week. It was well attended but not too crowded. The service was courteous and friendly. The home-style food was also very tasty and came quickly. The prices are OK. Parking was a bit difficult because some streets around were closed due to construction and a market.

The ambience is nice so far, but the food doesn't justify the other reviews. Ordered 2x pulled pork burgers and a tarte flambée. The tarte flambée was absolutely cold and undercooked, if it was homemade at all. The pulled pork on the burgers was just way too much and unfortunately very dry, the fries were only lukewarm. Food came after just 10 minutes. It's rather unusual in a smart restaurant. During the meal you weren't asked once how it tasted or whether it tasted good at all. Depending on what you order, the prices for a relatively normal, small portion are far too high. It was an experience, but you don't have to do it again.

You come as a guest and leave as a friend. Everything great from A-Z. Always worth a visit!

It is not often that a restaurant leaves its kitchen open in the evening to accommodate a choir after an armory concert. That's what happened in the Vogthaus. Everything was great. Great atmosphere, nice waiters, great selection

We were in the Vogthaus for the first time today, as we always have difficulties with a long double stroller in restaurants, so I went ahead. I was warmly welcomed and we looked at our “problem” right away, they found a nice table next to which we could put our stroller right next to it. The selection of dishes is great, there is also a weekly menu. I had the Quirinus plate (seared knuckle meat with fried potatoes and coleslaw and my wife had savoy cabbage with fried potatoes and bratwurst. The food was very tasty and the portions were generous! The service was always present and took very good care of us. Why not a full 5 stars? A Brauaus lacks some brewery charm, like a Köbes with the heart on its tongue and there was no music (of any kind) at all! Definitely going back!

Very tasty food! Anyone who likes and appreciates home-style brewery cuisine has come to the right place! However, prices increased slightly after the VAT adjustment. Waiters were - as we have often met and appreciated - very friendly and quick.

I had a very good steak, cooked to perfection, my husband was very enthusiastic about the mussels. It was very crowded, but new drinks always came at the right time. Since there were a lot of guests on site, it was also very loud. All in all, a very pleasant stay with great food, but nothing for a quiet conversation.

The Vogthaus with the beautiful carillon - is promising in terms of the ambience as a German inn on Münsterplatz... Increased prices at carnival seem rather desperate and at the latest when the waiter charges over €40 instead of €31, you can only shake your head at such stupidity and self-damaging business. The style no longer has anything to do with sophisticated German hospitality, but only with an oriental bar that needs to rip off tourists... 🫢 pathetic!

Very nice modern brewery atmosphere, unfortunately without its own beers or special beers - it's just not a brewery. Food was very good (I had the Berlin-style beef liver, very tender, no tubes in the meat, very well prepared. But I can't say whether the mashed potatoes came fresh from the tuber, but it still tasted good). Menu typical brewery, hearty and without surprises, but daily lunch menu (until 3 p.m.). Service was very good and attentive, my glass of light beer was never empty, the whole evening... Despite the hut being full! The waiter was a true Rhenish Köbes! Was fun!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Well done! My fried fish was delicious, although a little oilier than usual. The potato salad was really tasty. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy. We got a place downstairs next to the fireplace. I will gladly come again!

Unfortunately I can't say good things about the food. I was looking forward to “Sour Kidneys”. I only know them braised. But here they were as if cooked with undercooked onions in a watery sauce. Not my taste.

Es war mega voll und wir mussten lange warten auf das Essen. Kann passieren, sollte aber auch kommuniziert werden.

Schnitzel und Gänsebrust war lecker, Ambiente bissl zu laut für ein Heiligabend.. viel Junge Leute die dort Frühschoppen machen und sind halt sehr laut. Unterhaltungen führen ist dann bisschen anstrengend..sonst alles ganz nett und freundlich..kommen wieder

Ich war mit meinen 3 Brüdern und deren familiären Angang im Vogthaus. Wir haben schon vor Wochen einen Tisch reserviert für 8 Personen um am 2. Weihnachtstag zusammen zu sein und was zu essen. Es war mein erster Besuch an diesem Ort, obwohl ich gebürtiger Neusser bin. Es war eine angenehme Atmosphäre, es war sauber, hell und vor allem nicht zu laut. Wir gaben die Bestellung der Getränke auf, dir auch zeitnah serviert wurden. Nach ca. 20 Minuten haben wir dann Essen bestellt. Jeder das, worauf er laut Karte Appetit hatte. Ich habe mir Rindergulasch mit Spätzle und kleinem Salat für 20,90 € bestellt. Der Kellner fragte nochmal nach ob ich Rinder- oder Hirschgulasch wählen würde und schrieb dann sogar Rindergulasch auf. Serviert wurde dann aber Hirschgulasch, was ich umgetauscht habe. Geschmacklich war es ganz gut, die Spätzle hingegen waren lauwarm, matschig und wässrig. Als Getränk hatte ich eine Afri Cola zu 3,80 €. Für mein Essen habe ich inkl. Trinkgeld 30 € gezahlt. Jeder hat für sich gezahlt, was so typisch deutsch ist, aber am Ende haben dann irgendwie 2 Bier auf der Rechnung gefehlt, die der Kellner zwar nicht erklären konnte und such nicht auf der Rechnung vermerkte, aber abrechnete. Zudem kam für meine Schwägerin das Dessert etwas spät. Sie hatte Creme Brüllet bestellt was normalerweise eine knusprige Oberfläche hat und warm serviert wird. Ihres war wie eine Art Joghurt und kalt, als käme es aus dem Kühlschrank. Geschmeckt hat es ihr nicht. Mein Fazit, kann man mal hingehen, aber ist jetzt kein muss, da gibt es weitaus bessere Möglichkeiten. Schade dafür dass es eine Toplage hat. Erste mal da gewesen und direkt ein paar negativ zu bewertende Punkte erfahren. Ob es an Weihnachten lag würde ich nicht sagen, da kein Stress zu spüren war und es auch nicht überfüllt war. Trotzdem frohe Weihnachten. 🎅🎄

Wir sind öfters im Vogthaus, da man auch in großen Gruppen angenehm Platz findet. Personal und Ausstattung sind top, Essen ist lecker. Leider ziehen die Preise für Getränke und Essen allmählich in Regionen an, wo wir nicht mehr bereit sind mitzugehen. Dazu war keiner von uns nach seinem Hauptgericht satt. Das ist der einzige Grund warum wir in Zukunft seltener da sind und/oder vorher woanders Essen.

Wir haben unten an den zweier Tischen gesessen, das war mir alles zu nah, zu beengt, und später dann auch sehr laut. Ich werde wieder kommen dann oben sitzen und hoffe das mein Eindruck sich dann bessert.

Gute bürgerliche Küche im Brauhau-Stil. Preis / Leistung ist ok, das eine Gericht günstig, das andere etwas zu teuer.

Wir waren gestern zur Weihnachtsfeier hier Essen. Wirklich schönes Ambiente, wobei es mir persönlich viel zu voll und laut war. Der Service war super. Freundlich und schnell. Das Essen hat allen sehr gut geschmeckt, aber meine Haxe war der Hammer. Sie kam kochend heiß auf den Tisch, richtig knusprig und das Fleisch Butterweich. Geschmacklich top. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Absolut 100% empfehlenswert! Lecckeres Essen, das freundlichste Personal aller Zeiten, einzigartiges gemütliches Ambiente! Wir sind mit den Kindern spontan am Samstagnachmittag vom ersten Advent reingegangen und obwohl alles voll war, haben die lieben Mitarbeiter für uns einen Tisch gefunden! Fantastische snitzel! Leuke tent!

29.03.2023: War jetzt das erste Mal hier, nachdem umgebaut wurde. Klare Empfehlung meinerseits. Mitten im Herzen von Neuss gelegen, in einem historischen Gebäude. Sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Moderner, heller, freundlicher. Draußen kann man bei wärmeren Temperaturen auch sehr gut sitzen. In der ersten Etage noch genügend Sitzplätze vorhanden. Unten im Erdgeschoss ein separater Raum, zum Beispiel für geschlossene Gesellschaften. Das Personal umsichtig, freundlich. Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Preis war für die Portion vollkommen in Ordnung. Die Toiletten neu und sehr gepflegt. 27.04.2023: War heute erneut hier. Konnten draußen, vor dem Haus die Sonne und das leckere und vom Preis her faire Essen genießen. Freundliche, aufmerksame Kellner. Zwei Bilder vom heutigen Essen beigefügt. Das Leberkäse Gericht ist normalerweise mit Spiegelei noch oben drauf, hatte ich weg gelassen auf meinen Wunsch hin.

Es war ein schöner Sonntag. Auch ohne einen Tisch zu reservieren, hat es super gekappt. Über das Essen brauche ich eigentlich nichts sagen. Aber wenn ich müsste......😉 sehr gut, sehr viel und auch sehr lecker. Also ich kann nur beide Daumen hoch geben. Einfache Brauhausküche nicht besonders, Personal naja freundlich aber nicht die schnellste. Das wichtigste wenn man essen gehen, es muss lecker sein und das ist es!

Wir hatten eine Tagung dort. Der Service war freundlich, gut und unkompliziert. Das Mittagessen entsprach dem Preis/Leistung Verhältnis.

Auch bei vollem Haus am Sonntagmittag guter und freundlicher Service, leckeres Essen, gute Auswahl, faire Preise, Wartezeit in Ordnung

War mit meiner Familie da. Hatte ein Jägerschnitzel bestellt und auch bekommen. Die Pilze waren alles andere als frisch und haben dadurch den Geschmack no verdorben. Das Fleisch selbst war auch nicht von bester Qualität eher Aldi-Qualität als Restaurant. Beim Salat meiner Tochter waren die Tomaten mehlig und Karotten waren ausgetrocknet. So eine miserable Qualität darf man an einem so traditionellen Haus nicht tolerieren.

Snel bedient, ook al was het heel druk, heerlijk eten. Zeker een aan rader voor hier te eten. We komen zeker nog eens terug.

Hatte einen Termin reserviert und wir bekamen einen schönen zugewiesenen. Wir bestellten 2x Backfisch aber anstatt mit Kartoffelsalat gerne mit Salat. Eine Portion Pommes extra. Essen war lecker und Bedienung nett. Am Ende zahlten wir statt 13,90 Euro, 18,50 Euro! Das fand ich etwas viel da wir den Kartoffelsalat ja nicht genommen hatten. Einen Euro für eine Umbestellung lasse ich mir gefallen aber 4,60 und die Pommes haben wir auch extra gezahlt! Es ist ein Brauhaus und kein Sterne Restaurant, schade.

Die Lage mitten auf dem Münsterplatz mit Blick auf das Münster hat uns angelockt. Wir haben es nicht bereut: guter, freundlicher Service und sehr leckeres Essen in großen Portionen.

Wir wollten erst in ein Restaurant ähnlicher Art, haben uns dann aber entschlossen, dass Vogthaus zu besuchen. Zum Glück. Da hat wirklich alles gepasst. Erstmal freundlich begrüßt worden, dann einen tollen Platz bekommen, super Bier getrunken, gut gegessen und sehr herzlich bedient worden. Schnitzel mit Pfeffersauce und Currywurst waren unsere Wahl. Alles warm, lecker und von der Portion ausreichend. Der Umbau ist sehr gelungen. Wir waren hier schon länger nicht mehr gewesen. Wir kommen wieder.
