The food and beer were very good, the roast knuckle is really highly recommended. Nice and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside!

Great restaurant, large portions, good prices and a very nice staff. Just don't come too late as it can get very crowded.

We had reserved 2 places for dinner. Since there were still a few tables available, we had a free choice of seats and sat at a table for two between a table for four and six. There was an A4 sized menu on our table. As soon as we sat down, we were asked what drink we wanted. We asked for a little patience as we first had to read the map. To shorten this, we helped ourselves to the menu from the table for four (there were 2). After ordering we were treated to very good food. When the table for six was occupied, the neighbors also asked us about our menu. They were regular customers and wanted to shorten the ordering process. The same (card) game was repeated at the table of four. There were 2 cards available. Maybe you should provide each guest with a card. Despite everything, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely be back.

Vogthaus Neuss is a charming place on the town square, offering german dishes in a warm and welcoming setting. Warm atmosphere, great food, and a place I’m happy to return to.

Atmospherically furnished brewery restaurant, large selection of home-style, tasty dishes, tasty BOLTEN ALT, friendly service, nice atmosphere, halls in different sizes. A highlight in Neuss directly at the Minster Church.

Waited 1 1/2 hours after ordering food, mussels, good portion, nicely served in a kettle, schnitzel with fries was good, but the hunter's sauce was watery and not tasty, side salad wasn't very attractive, food was almost cold, waiter was friendly and tried hard. Great atmosphere, great for one or two or three beers.

Drinks, service, ambience TOP! The important aspect of the food can really be refined. Presentation of the food mostly 4-. The schnitzel once had a very strange breading. A little more cooking and sophistication would be great. This also works in home-style cooking. I would rather wait a little longer for the food ;-)

We can only recommend the Vogthaus, we have never been disappointed with either the food or the drinks and we enjoy being there. Only the starter selection could be larger. A country bread bruschetta or a fried potato soup would round off the offer. VG Kruse

In my opinion, one of the few remnants that Neuss still has to offer. This is where a rustic pub meets a modern inn. The food is right, the service is right, the ambience is right and the prices are right. Always worth a visit! ,👍

We were at the Vogthaus for the second time today. Just like the first time, we were totally impressed by the friendly atmosphere and the great, warm service. The food was great. Very nice atmosphere, we can only recommend it.

Very good, authentic German quinine with an extensive menu all at very reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and efficient. I will definitely go there again and would be happy to entertain guests at this restaurant.

At lunchtime the average age was slightly higher.

Bolten im Vogthaus shines with its Rhenish brewery style, which remains even when the place is really full. Very nice service at high speed. And what the kitchen delivers is of very good price/performance quality.

Were there on Boxing Day. The reservation was made at short notice and even though it was very busy, we got a nice table. The service took longer, but it was ok considering the number of people. The food and especially the goose leg was excellent. Always my pleasure. Highly recommended!!

4 people = 4 different dishes, everyone was extremely satisfied, from the venison goulash with a really tasty red cabbage to the beef liver and the mussels, everything was perfectly seasoned. Table 26 says *THANK YOU* for the very good and warm service 😉

Grotesque prices, currywurst with fries €12.50. In Neuss, a city without everything. Sorry, never again🤣 Addition: Afterwards I said to the waiter that the waiter was great, but the food just didn't correspond to the prices. Answer: "I don't give a damn." Conclusion: A store that is too expensive.

Great food... but... very loud... a shame

We come from Düsseldorf and like to drink well-kept beer. Now quite disappointed with the cuisine in breweries, we came to the Vogthaus for the first time last evening - friendly reception at the entrance - we were given a table for two in an attractively modern atmosphere. The high quality of the food (crusted roast and mussels could hardly be prepared better) made us fans of the kitchen. The service (thanks, Ilias) was confident and attentive. We thank you for a thoroughly successful evening. 🙏🏻❤️

Disappointing steak experience I was looking forward to a juicy rump steak, but what was served was far from it. Instead of an aromatic and tender rump steak, I got a tough piece of meat that clearly didn't match the description. The taste was bland and it didn't seem to have been prepared properly. For the price I expected much more. Unfortunately not a dish I would order again. The food here is otherwise quite good. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right at all. Portions are sometimes too small to fill you up, but are still overpriced. Been there twice recently and had to order more Mettbrötchen to fill up 🤔 The waiters are great and the ambience is very nice 👌🏻 ... and the most important thing: the beer is cold 😄

Yesterday we were very happy to finally be able to eat and drink at VOGTHAUS again! What should be highlighted is the heaven and ahd and the very tasty roast pork. The beer is of course a smooth 10/10 Bolten as always! Our very sweet and caring Köbes deserved a special mention yesterday. Unfortunately we neglected to ask his first name. We could see the name Mpampis on the bill - outstanding, nice, comfortable service with the right amount of humor and humanity. Thanks for that! We are really looking forward to the next time

09/13/2024: Today I wasn't happy with my meal. For a “cheap” 16.90 euros, I was served a portion that didn’t match the price. I may have ordered a sausage salad. Only almost 90 percent consisted of sausage. The usual ingredients were saved. I know it differently. Therefore a star deduction for the food. April 27, 2023: Was here again today. We were able to enjoy the sun outside, in front of the house, and the delicious food that was fairly priced. Friendly, attentive waiters. Two pictures of today's meal attached. The meat loaf dish usually comes with a fried egg on top, but I left it out at my request. March 29, 2023: Was here for the first time after the renovation. Clear recommendation from me. Located right in the heart of Neuss, in a historic building. Very nice and tastefully decorated. More modern, brighter, friendlier. You can also sit outside very well in warmer temperatures. There are still enough seats on the first floor. There is a separate room downstairs on the ground floor, for example for private parties. The staff careful, friendly. The food was very tasty and the price was perfectly reasonable for the portion. The toilets are new and very well maintained.

Getting the wrong food. Cocoa and cappuccino without biscuits or anything. Very unloving. Unfortunately it takes a long time to be served and then you have to wait. Ambiance was ok, everyone liked the food. Even with the little faux pas.

Nice brewery in downtown Neuss. When the weather is good, there are numerous outdoor spaces in front of and behind the brewery. The brewery is tastefully decorated and offers plenty of seating in the dining room. The selection of food is varied and delicious. Gladly again!

We were here a few weeks ago and were sitting in the beer garden on the market square. The staff was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very nice. We'd love to come back.

The place where it is located is very beautiful and well located, with beautiful views and very quiet. The attention was quite good. It must be said that there was only one waiter who took orders. The food was very good, we ordered Schnitzel which, apparently, is a typical German food. It was pretty good. Of course, if you like to eat with bread, they don't include it, although we don't ask for it either because it doesn't seem to be customary in Germany to eat with bread. The quality-price ratio is good. A little further down there is an area with more eating options.

Stopped by for a little refreshment based on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Beer and Mettbrötchen were just the right thing.

Cozy brewery with good food and great service

We sat outside and what stood out during our visit was the friendliness of the waiter. Coarse bratwurst with sauerkraut and puree and Caesar salad with chicken breast, cherry tomatoes, croutons and parmesan shavings with Caesar dressing were our choices. Everything was delicious and the portions were sufficient.

Always good, whether eating or drinking

Today we were served sour wheat beer. The waiter denied this; only brought us a new sample even though we originally ordered two. Totally ignored us after that. Now let's be honest: How much Hefeweizen is drunk in the Rhineland? While collecting the money he said: "I don't drink Hefeweizen?" That was not professional and customer friendly. An apology would have been enough, as the beer was ultimately paid for at a hefty €5.80 ×2. This experience left a bad aftertaste.

Was auffällig bei unserem Besuch war die Freundlichkeit des Kellners, was in Brauhäusern i. d R. unüblich ist. Interieur ist immer Geschmacksache, hat uns aber gefallen. Hatten zu Viert einen schönen Tisch, der Lautstärkepegel ist schon hoch ob der vielen Kleingruppen über 6 Personen. Die Qualität des Essens war bei uns gemischt. Ich hatte ein angeblich paniertes Schnitzel mit Fritten und Beilagensalat. Salat, extrem überschaubare Menge, war soweit ok. Das Schnitzel mit weicher Panade wurde auf die Fritten geworfen, sodass diese schnell weich wurde. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass Fleisch als auch die Jägersauce Convenience Food waren, d h. Tütensauce und Fleisch aus TK, aufgetaut und kurz in die Friseuse geworfen. Fazit: Um beim leckeren Bier den Bauch voll zu bekommen, ist das Vogthaus völlig angemessen. Um jedoch gut essen zu gehen, nicht zu empfehlen
