At the Vogthaus, the atmosphere is perfect, the food is made from fresh ingredients, the beer and other drinks are great, and the service is also very good. Perfect for a stop with friends.

Simple brewery fare, nothing special, but good quality. The staff is friendly and quick. Most importantly, when you go out for a meal, it has to be delicious, and this is it!

I was invited to a company event! The beer was served quickly, the buffet was okay. A bit more vegetable selection might have been nice, but it probably wasn't planned for by the buffet planner! It definitely tasted good, though!

A very nice restaurant/brewery with delicious food and tasty draft beer (also non-alcoholic). The atmosphere is very pleasant and invites you to linger. The upper gallery offers seating, as does the outdoor area in front of and behind the restaurant. TOP.

Food was great. Probably best German food I have had in Neuss yet. Staff were quite friendly and good vibes in the place.

I ate at the Vogthaus today with my daughter and granddaughter (12 weeks old). We received such polite and courteous service. They gave us access to the elevator since we had the stroller with us. The food was excellent. The portions were very generous and the prices were affordable. We will definitely be back and can recommend the Vogthaus Neuss to everyone. 5*****

Great food, very friendly and fast service

One star is still too many. Today was our first and last time there. We dropped in spontaneously and took a free table outside. We stayed there for about 15 minutes after waving several times before a waiter came by. He took our order without saying hello or offering a menu, in a rather brusque and stressed manner, "What do you want?" Luckily, we had already looked at the website to pass the wait and knew what we wanted. The drinks arrived after 10 minutes. What followed was an odyssey. While at other tables people ordered, ate, and left...or, like at the table next to us, didn't order at all and left again because it took too long, after about an hour the waiter came to ask what we had ordered. Wow. "One minute," he said, then disappeared and was never seen again. Time is relative, as Einstein already knew. A minute can be very short, or it can feel like an eternity. For us, it took another 15 minutes. Then the food arrived. We'd already been there for over an hour and a half. We weren't really hungry anymore. But now it was here. One roast beef with fried potatoes and one tarte flambée. They're just a bit time-consuming. Hopefully, the wait was worth it, we thought. The short answer to that was "No." Not bad, but definitely not worth the time and price. As soon as the food arrived, I asked for the bill. I knew by now how long it takes to wait for a server (service isn't meant literally, as service seems to only be for regulars here). After we finished our meal, we had to ask three different employees four more times for the bill, before the last one received a more than rude "I'll be right there." In total, we waited another 20 minutes just for the bill. Until we could finally get out of this place. Conclusion: So, if you have a lot of time and boredom that you'd like to kill waiting for something, this is the place for you. If you love mediocre food and don't like waiters who either treat you like air or snarl at you, this is the place for you. Anyone else who enjoys being treated kindly and courteously, appreciates good food, and generally wants to have a pleasant evening should go elsewhere.

There were 45 of us, so it was a large group. Because of this, the food took a little longer to arrive, but it tasted great.

Since the change of management roughly four years ago, it's been simply wonderful! Great food, draft beer, and traditional waiters. Perfect!

Everything was amazing. We ordered the traditional curry sausage, salad, and a German tartar. Delicious, reasonably priced, and above all, the staff was incredibly friendly. Special mention to Evangelos. He treated us wonderfully and made our visit very special. We'll be back and highly recommend it if you're looking for traditional food and a modern place.

Unfortunately, today was bad: (please read the addendum!) First of all, we eat at Vogthaus very often and are usually always satisfied. We've also already left a few positive reviews here. Therefore, I ask the Vogthaus team to consider this first negative review as constructive criticism. We went out to dinner today as a couple. I had a rump steak with fried potatoes and a Bavarian cream. My partner had a knuckle of pork and also a Bavarian cream. I ordered the steak medium. When it arrived at the table and I cut into the middle, I quickly realized that it had been in the pan too short a time and in the oven too long. The outer part was dry, the center still raw. Since I'm a trained chef myself, I quickly pointed out the mistake to the server, and he took the plate back. After about 10 minutes, the same steak came back to the table... In the meantime, the meat juices that had escaped from the cut had completely mushy the surrounding fried potatoes, which had also been in the pan for too short a time, as the onions were still translucent and the bacon was soft. The steak, which had already been cut through, was, of course, much too dry and almost inedible. Since my companion was almost finished with her meal, I decided to eat the meat (at least the part that was still edible). I left the "fried" potato completely. When a server came to the table again and asked if everything was OK, I unfortunately had to say no again. My companion also had to practice with the sauce that was served with the knuckle of pork, as it was as thick as pudding due to significantly too much cornstarch. The server simply acknowledged the complaint and told us to pass it on to the kitchen. To at least somewhat alleviate the disappointment, we ordered a Bavarian cream with red berries. It was excellent, airy, and beautifully seasoned. When we asked for the bill, the criticism of the employee came up again. However, the server immediately disappeared and returned a few minutes later without a word, presenting us with the full amount of €81.50. We paid. When the employee simply left the table and said goodbye, I had to point out to him that this was NOT good service; they could have at least offered us a coffee as compensation or dessert on the house. To this, he replied very brusquely and in a rude manner, "I would have done that!" By this time, however, the bill had already been paid, the employee had moved a few steps away from the table, and, as already mentioned, had already said goodbye! Dear Vogthaus, The next time I visit you, I will address this review, which I hope will be understood constructively. As a former restaurateur, I know how difficult it is to maintain good quality day after day! Today, however, we felt mistreated as regulars, which, frankly, really spoiled our evening. We hope you'll try to live up to your good reputation next time and make up for tonight. We, for one, will give you the chance 💕 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Two weeks later, we returned to the Vogthaus with two friends. This time, everything was fantastic, as usual. Fast, friendly service from the same waiter, delicious, fresh, and hot food, and our hot drinks and desserts were on the house as an apology for the last time. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Thank you so much for the lovely evening and the truly delicious food. 💕 See you soon. 😊

Very nice brewery atmosphere but (EDIT 04.2022) The food was very good, but having to pour my own wheat beer several times into the same glass really irritates me. I expected better service.

We ate there with a group of seven on a Tuesday evening in May. This was my first visit and certainly won't be my last. I particularly liked the ambiance and the outdoor area. The restaurant was about 40% full. The servers were very friendly and prompt. The food is typical of a brewery, meaning it's solid. We liked that the food didn't arrive after 10 minutes, as is usually the case. This gave us plenty of time to chat. I highly recommend this place, whether just for a beer or for dinner.

Four of us dined there in the evening. From the very first minute, we were completely captivated by the restaurant. That was definitely thanks to the amazing waitress Nathalie. She was so funny and hospitable; we were thrilled. The food could easily be given more than 5 stars. What I found fantastic, however, was the value for money. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was very cozy. We'll definitely be back!

A beautifully decorated restaurant with many friendly waiters. Unfortunately, the food didn't exactly impress me... The mashed potatoes had a pre-made mashed potato flavor... the black pudding wasn't crispy. The schnitzel was very small and extremely thin, and the fries weren't cooked properly... a shame, really, considering the price.

It's so beautiful there and the food was a dream. Staff super friendly. Really great atmosphere. Conclusion: Every time we go to Neuss we eat there. But are offended, all the “mothers” got red roses 🌹. We NOT (maybe too old)😭😅

Can only recommend it. There were nine of us there. The service was just great. Drinks and food go very quickly. Always have a seasonal beer. That tasted excellent. Food was phenomenal too. We would love to come back.

We had reserved 2 places for dinner. Since there were still a few tables available, we had a free choice of seats and sat at a table for two between a table for four and six. There was an A4 sized menu on our table. As soon as we sat down, we were asked what drink we wanted. We asked for a little patience as we first had to read the map. To shorten this, we helped ourselves to the menu from the table for four (there were 2). After ordering we were treated to very good food. When the table for six was occupied, the neighbors also asked us about our menu. They were regular customers and wanted to shorten the ordering process. The same (card) game was repeated at the table of four. There were 2 cards available. Maybe you should provide each guest with a card. Despite everything, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely be back.

Vogthaus Neuss is a charming place on the town square, offering german dishes in a warm and welcoming setting. Warm atmosphere, great food, and a place I’m happy to return to.

Atmospherically furnished brewery restaurant, large selection of home-style, tasty dishes, tasty BOLTEN ALT, friendly service, nice atmosphere, halls in different sizes. A highlight in Neuss directly at the Minster Church.

Waited 1 1/2 hours after ordering food, mussels, good portion, nicely served in a kettle, schnitzel with fries was good, but the hunter's sauce was watery and not tasty, side salad wasn't very attractive, food was almost cold, waiter was friendly and tried hard. Great atmosphere, great for one or two or three beers.

Drinks, service, ambience TOP! The important aspect of the food can really be refined. Presentation of the food mostly 4-. The schnitzel once had a very strange breading. A little more cooking and sophistication would be great. This also works in home-style cooking. I would rather wait a little longer for the food ;-)

We can only recommend the Vogthaus, we have never been disappointed with either the food or the drinks and we enjoy being there. Only the starter selection could be larger. A country bread bruschetta or a fried potato soup would round off the offer. VG Kruse

We were at the Vogthaus for the second time today. Just like the first time, we were totally impressed by the friendly atmosphere and the great, warm service. The food was great. Very nice atmosphere, we can only recommend it.

Very good, authentic German quinine with an extensive menu all at very reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and efficient. I will definitely go there again and would be happy to entertain guests at this restaurant.

Bolten im Vogthaus shines with its Rhenish brewery style, which remains even when the place is really full. Very nice service at high speed. And what the kitchen delivers is of very good price/performance quality.

Were there on Boxing Day. The reservation was made at short notice and even though it was very busy, we got a nice table. The service took longer, but it was ok considering the number of people. The food and especially the goose leg was excellent. Always my pleasure. Highly recommended!!

4 people = 4 different dishes, everyone was extremely satisfied, from the venison goulash with a really tasty red cabbage to the beef liver and the mussels, everything was perfectly seasoned. Table 26 says *THANK YOU* for the very good and warm service 😉

We come from Düsseldorf and like to drink well-kept beer. Now quite disappointed with the cuisine in breweries, we came to the Vogthaus for the first time last evening - friendly reception at the entrance - we were given a table for two in an attractively modern atmosphere. The high quality of the food (crusted roast and mussels could hardly be prepared better) made us fans of the kitchen. The service (thanks, Ilias) was confident and attentive. We thank you for a thoroughly successful evening. 🙏🏻❤️

Disappointing steak experience I was looking forward to a juicy rump steak, but what was served was far from it. Instead of an aromatic and tender rump steak, I got a tough piece of meat that clearly didn't match the description. The taste was bland and it didn't seem to have been prepared properly. For the price I expected much more. Unfortunately not a dish I would order again. The food here is otherwise quite good. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right at all. Portions are sometimes too small to fill you up, but are still overpriced. Been there twice recently and had to order more Mettbrötchen to fill up 🤔 The waiters are great and the ambience is very nice 👌🏻 ... and the most important thing: the beer is cold 😄

Yesterday we were very happy to finally be able to eat and drink at VOGTHAUS again! What should be highlighted is the heaven and ahd and the very tasty roast pork. The beer is of course a smooth 10/10 Bolten as always! Our very sweet and caring Köbes deserved a special mention yesterday. Unfortunately we neglected to ask his first name. We could see the name Mpampis on the bill - outstanding, nice, comfortable service with the right amount of humor and humanity. Thanks for that! We are really looking forward to the next time

09/13/2024: Today I wasn't happy with my meal. For a “cheap” 16.90 euros, I was served a portion that didn’t match the price. I may have ordered a sausage salad. Only almost 90 percent consisted of sausage. The usual ingredients were saved. I know it differently. Therefore a star deduction for the food. April 27, 2023: Was here again today. We were able to enjoy the sun outside, in front of the house, and the delicious food that was fairly priced. Friendly, attentive waiters. Two pictures of today's meal attached. The meat loaf dish usually comes with a fried egg on top, but I left it out at my request. March 29, 2023: Was here for the first time after the renovation. Clear recommendation from me. Located right in the heart of Neuss, in a historic building. Very nice and tastefully decorated. More modern, brighter, friendlier. You can also sit outside very well in warmer temperatures. There are still enough seats on the first floor. There is a separate room downstairs on the ground floor, for example for private parties. The staff careful, friendly. The food was very tasty and the price was perfectly reasonable for the portion. The toilets are new and very well maintained.
