Gasthaus Tröpplkeller in Zwiesel

The food is delicious, the hostess is very nice, and the atmosphere is great, too. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

There isn't a huge selection, but what is available is home-cooked food, good and plentiful. The attached campsite is idyllically located and offers great value for money. We've been going there for over 10 years and have been warmly welcomed by the locals.

After one visit, the innkeeper said he'd be open again tomorrow! Then we said we'd come back tomorrow! No sooner said than done! The result! The landlady said the inn is for camping guests only! So be careful.

I recently had the pleasure of spending an evening in the Tröpplkeller campsite and restaurant in Zwiesel, and it was a real experience for all the senses. As soon as you walked in, you immediately noticed the special charm of the place: a successful mix of traditional warmth and modern comfort. Even though I was only in the restaurant, I could literally feel the magic of the ambience - a feel-good place where hospitality is very important. The facility exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere that invites you to linger and enjoy. Whether it's cozy corners for chatting, lovingly decorated tables or subtle background music - every detail is designed to make guests feel at home. Not just visually, but also the entire culinary experience was a highlight. The menu offers an exciting selection that includes both regional classics and creative new interpretations. Every bite is evidence of fresh, high-quality ingredients and the passion with which the dishes are prepared. I was particularly impressed by the service: the staff was courteous, committed and always there with a smile. They took the time to make personal recommendations and were happy to explain details about the dishes on offer. This loving and competent care makes the visit something very special and takes the overall experience to a new level. Although I haven't used the campsite myself, I know from conversations with other guests that everything there is also in tip top condition. The well-kept and quiet campsite perfectly complements the restaurant and invites you to enjoy nature to the fullest. There is a harmonious connection between culinary enjoyment and relaxation close to nature, which makes this place a true insider tip - ideal for everyone who wants to leave the stress of everyday life behind them and recharge their batteries in a relaxed atmosphere. In summary, I can say that the Tröpplkeller campsite and restaurant in Zwiesel offers an all-round successful experience. With excellent food, warm service and an ambience that invites you to linger, I give it five shining stars without a doubt. I'm looking forward to combining my next visit with a stay at the campsite and experiencing this wonderful place even more intensively.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get a taste of the food, as the inn is exclusively for camping guests. At least, that's what the landlady explained to us in a rather dismissive tone. Information about this here would have been very helpful! Visually, the ambiance looked very nice from the outside, though.

The food and drinks were delicious and reasonably priced too! We'd love to come back 😊
