Gasthaus Tonner in Mayen

Best snack bar in Mayen. And it's been that way for over 50 years.

I ended up there looking for a snack, or rather, I walked in and turned around because I walked into a wall of cigarette smoke coming from a row of customers sitting at the counter. Really? Smoking in a restaurant, and in 2025? If you like it, I wouldn't eat there. After all, the food is prepared in that smoke.

My impression of this restaurant began right at the entrance. If you just briefly cling to the stone walls in the heat, you're greeted with a rude sneer. Instead of asking what's wrong and if you're okay, you're turned away and treated as if you'd damaged the wall. I'll consider eating there in the future, as their rude attitude is certainly reflected in their food. Think twice about eating there.

Absolutely disappointing! I went to Gasthaus Tonner today with my mother, and it was a disaster. The woman behind the counter was very unfriendly from beginning to end, and the food left much to be desired. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. There are so many better options in the area.

Burnt curry sausage, fluffy fries and curry sauce from the supermarket, it's a shame Mayen deserved something better.

I was there for the first time today to get a currywurst. Unfortunately, the Fanta was already expired. It was strange how the nice lady took all the soft drink bottles out of the fridge. Everything seemed to be expired. Unfortunately, the currywurst with the roll wasn't that popular. The service was friendly.

It used to be better. Still quite ok today. You shouldn't have high expectations of a snack like this. Ambiance inside good. Owner friendly!

So it's a bit bad when you get warm Hela curry ketchup with your currywurst. Otherwise, honest pub atmosphere - beer is fine.

Hela ketchup as a curry sauce actually says it all. Since the food is very cheap, I gave it 3 stars

Bratwurst und Brötchen total schwarz verkohlt, richtig schlecht!

Gaststättenflair. Speisen sind lecker. Was etwas stört, das in der Gaststätte geraucht werden darf. Unangenehm für Nichtraucher.

Immer wieder gern. Wenn man mal schnell Imbissessem zu überaus humanen Preisen möchte, ist man hier immer richtig. Und auch die Sauberkeit ist hier ein erwähnenswerter Punkt, hier können sehr viele in Mayen leider nicht mithalten. Das Pfefferschnitzel geht immer - eindeutig mein Favorit. Eine Kneipe, zu der man gerne und ohne Desinfektionsmittel gehen kann.

Beste Currywurst mit Pommes in Mayen

Der Name irritiert. Es ist, nicht wie angenommen, ein Gasthaus sondern eine Frittenbude oder Imbiss

Klein aber gemütlich.Das Essen war auch lecker. Nette Bedienung. Gerne wieder.

Guenstig super sauber und sehr freundlich

Wer 0-8-15 Essen mag, wird sich lobend über 'ne Currywurst oder knusprige Pommes Frittes freuen. Nur -bei aller Liebe- es ist Imbisessen für evtl. mal Zwischendurch, mehr nicht. Und...von Atmosphäre kann ja nun wirklich nicht die Rede sein. Darüber hinaus ist die Lage an der Straßenecke -mit viel Verkehr- einfach furchtbar. Aber...jedem das, was er mag! Wir jedenfalls nicht!
