Gasthaus Seeblick in Oranienbaum-Wörlitz

Das Gasthaus Seeblick ist immer wieder einen Besuch wert. Raucher Forelle mit einem sehr gutem sebst gemachten Kartofelsalat und gemischtem Salat. Einfach ein Traum, echt lecker. Die Bedinung sehr freundlich und schnell. Wenn mann auf der Terrasse sitzt hat man einen sehr schönen Blick auf den Wörlizer Park.

Ein schönes Gasthaus. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Uns haben die Schnitzel sehr gut geschmeckt, der selbstgemachte Kartoffelsalat war lecker und es war eine große Portion. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder, wenn wir in Wörlitz oder in der Nähe sind.

Wenn wir den Wörlitzer Park besuchen, dann gehört das Gasthaus Seeblick dazu. Ruhig gelegen und schmackhaftes Essen! Den selbst gemachten Kartoffelsalat mögen wir gern.

Wir sind als Motorradfahrer sehr freundlich empfangen worden. Die Bewirtung war gut,ebenso das Essen Eine absolute Empfehlung.

Die frisch geräucherte Forelle ist sehr zu empfehlen und der Service ist top . Wir kommen gerne wieder

Wir fanden keinen Platz. Das kann vorkommen, versucht man es eben an einem anderen Tag. Man tat allerdings die Aussage, dass wir zu zweit eh keinen Tisch alleine haben würden (!) und bot an, uns zu einem uns wildfremden Paar an einen Minitisch zu setzen. Das ist dann doch etwas nah, und entbehrt jeder Privatsphäre. Es ist kein Imbiss, sondern will ein Restaurant sein! Das hätten wir wohl noch in Kauf genommen. Was aber absolut nicht geht und in unseren Augen unseriös ist, ist, dass ausschließlich Barzahlung möglich ist. So etwas unterstützen wir nicht! Das ist zu viel unprofessionell Handling, Massenabfertigung und 0815.

Beim Ankommen fühlte man sich leider nicht Willkommen. Das Baby muss zuerst bedient werden, wobei wir mit einem Kleinkind da waren. Bei der Bestellung wurde kritisch hinterfragt, ob das Baby denn schon KiBa trinken kann. Was für eine Frage. Wir sollen natürlich ordentlich mit dem Glas aufpassen. Wir fragten nach einem Kinderstuhl, dieser sollte gleich kommen. Leider kamen zuerst die Getränke, dann das Essen und später auch mal ein Kinderstuhl. Man fühlte sich abwertend behandelt, da man seinem Kind bei 30 Grad einen kühlen Saft gönnen wollte und überhaupt mit einem Kleinkind da war. Man fragte auch explizit nach dem Alter der Kindes. Was geht das bitte einer Bedienung an??? Das Essen war gut. Es hat allen geschmeckt. Beim Bezahlen wollten wir natürlich kein Trinkgeld geben. Das hat die "Freundlichkeit" leider nicht her gegeben. Aber es sollte natürlich noch viel besser werden. Mit 50€ bezahlt, Rückgeld gab es keins. Man behielt sich selbstverständlich die 3,30€ ein. So etwas unfreundliches und wirklich freches haben wir selten erlebt. Kleinkinder sind definitiv nicht willkommen.

Es kann ja gut möglich sein,das das Essen dort gut ist. Wir wollten nur etwas trinken und wurden dann sehr unfreundlich gebeten das Lokal zu verlassen,weil wir kein Essen verzehren wollten. So viel war dort in dem Moment auch nicht los und es hätte uns auch nicht gestört drinnen, oder in irgendeiner Ecke unsere Getränke zu uns zu nehmen. Aber so unfreundlich bin ich noch nie behandelt worden.

Wir hatten eine schöne Einkehr, leckerste Räuchforelle, schönster Blick und eine ausserordentlich freundliche Bedienung! Danke!

Das beste Schnitzel, das ich je gegessen habe! Zum Glück sprach der (Besitzer?) Englisch, sodass ich problemlos bestellen konnte, und er war sehr freundlich.

Genuss mit Aussicht ! Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir waren heute hier essen und sind restlos begeistert. Der direkte Seeblick sorgt sofort für Urlaubsstimmung und bietet die perfekte Kulisse für ein entspanntes Essen. Zum Essen: • Geräucherte Forelle: Fangfrisch, zart und perfekt im Aroma :) ein echtes Highlight für Fischliebhaber! • Schnitzel: Goldbraun, knusprig und einfach super lecker. Man merkt, dass hier auf Qualität geachtet wird. Service & Atmosphäre: Besonders hervorzuheben ist die sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und mussten trotz der tollen Lage nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Alles kam frisch und heiß an den Tisch. Fazit: Wer gutes Essen und ein tolles Panorama sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Am Wörlitzer Gartenreich mit seinen Teichen gelegen bietet die Terasse einen hübschen Ausblick und man ist unwillkürlich gewillt, die Teiche für die Heimat der augenscheinlich frisch heißgeräucherten Forellen zu halten. Die Fische kommen wohl eher aus einer Zucht, sind auf den Punkt perfekt geräuchert serviert und von hausgemachtem warmen Kartoffelsalat mit Essig und Öl sowie einer appetitlich angerichteten Salatbeilage begleitet worden. Kurz: Sehr leckere, frische Hausmannskost zu akzeptablem Preis. Wer weniger als 20 Euro für einen solchen Räucherforelle/Kartoffelsalat-Teller zahlt, erhält halt Futter aus dem Plastikeimer.

Gute einfache sattmachende Kost.Grosse Currywust,oder auch Forelle frisch aus dem Rauch.Schnelle nette Bedienung.

Zum zweiten Mal sind wir heute im Gasthaus Seeblick eingekehrt. Unsere Erwartungen wurden wieder übererfüllt. Die RiesenCurrywurst war sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Vielen Dank, wir kommen wieder!

Super freundliche Bedienung, trotz "full house", hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Dachten erst, es ist recht teuer, aber nur, bis wir die Portionen vor uns hatten. Durch die dicht beieinander stehenden Tische war es zeitweilig ein wenig Laut und man kam nicht umhin, die Gespräche der Anderen mitzuhören, aber alles in allem eine gemütliche Lokalität. Wenn man dann im Sommer draußen sitzen kann, ist es sicher noch schöner. Ein bisschen was für Kinder, um die Wartezeit zu überbrücken, wäre wünschenswert. Wir waren im vergangenen Jahr bei ihnen zu Gast. Das Essen war sehr gut 👍, aber als wir bei ihnen bezahlen wollten, stellten wir fest das eine Karten Zahlung nicht möglich war. Ich musste in den Ort nach Wörlitz fahren um Geld zu holen. Wie ich aus der Bank wieder in mein Auto gestiegen bin, musste ich noch 20 Euro Bußgeld bezahlen was nicht notwendig gewesen wäre wenn sie Karten Zahlung anbieten würden. Das schreckt bestimmt einige Menschen ab bei ihnen zu Speisen. Wir hoffen das sie das abändern, dann haben sie auch mehr Gäste mit freundlichen Grüßen Herr Swiekatowski

Wir waren heute im Gasthaus Seeblick und wurden von einem sehr freundlichen, flexiblen und lösungsorientiert Gast empfangen, das ganze Team war sehr nett das Essen war sehr gut. Angemessen zur Nebensaison, ein Vorzugspreis für alle Speisen Euro zwölf, was mich an die Zeiten vor Corona erinnerte, mit dieser Preisstrategie hat er sein Haus gefüllt, obwohl nicht viele Gäste im Park waren. Wir durften den Hunden mit rein nehmen. Für den Kinderwagen wurde extra die Garage geöffnet. Alles in allem eine überraschend freundliche und angenehme Begegnung. Und: auch der Espresso war sehr lecker weiter so und nun einen schönen Saison-Abschied und Urlaub

Bietet nur Barzahlung an und diskutiert dann mit einem, warum und weshalb. Wir waren nach fast 15km sehr K.O. Und hatten uns auf die frisch geräucherten Forellen gefreut. Und endlich sitzen. Aber zum Glück ist ja gleich ums Eck die bessere Alternative gekommen. Zum Geldautomat rennen wir deswegen nicht extra.

Bestes Gasthaus in der Umgebung. Wir möchten uns bedanken für das tolle Essen und die nette, herzliche Unterhaltung. Ihr macht einen tollen Job. Der Abend bleibt unvergessen. Lokal tiptop kann mann nur empfehlen u. Der Wirt ein bomben Typ.

Für Fischliebhaber ein Genuß 😉.Die geräucherte Forelle ein Gaumenschmaus,dazu Hausgemachter Kartoffelsalat sehr zu empfehlen.Schon beim Gang zur Gaststätte wird man in den Bann des Räucherofens gezogen 😊.Die Bedienung war Recht flott unterwegs, freundlich,und die Wartezeit war nicht wirklich lang.

Wir wollten nach einem langen Spaziergang im Park mit der Familie etwas trinken darafhin wurden wir von der sehr unfreundlichen angestellten Frau, darauf hingewiesen das Mittagstisch sei und wir gehen sollen wenn wir nur Getränke bestellen möchten. Sie hat uns auf eine böse verbale Art vor unserem Kindern und vor dem anderen Gästen aufgefordert zu gehen und Platz zu machen wenn wir nur Getränke bestellen wollen. Wir werden dieses Lokal in Zukunft immer meiden um nicht wieder in so eine solche Situation zu kommen.

Unbedingt empfehlenswert sind die frisch geräucherter Forellen. Sehr schöner Freisitz am See und nette Bedienung

Very friendly service. The food was delicious and served quickly. The smoked trout to go is absolutely delicious. The waitress was very dog-friendly, and she even gave our four-legged friend a little head massage. The chef seems to still have a solid opinion, which I really like. We felt very comfortable here and ate very well. Thank you very much 🫶

We ate freshly smoked trout today, and all three of us were thrilled – it was extremely tasty and quick, too. And on top of that – cash only – that's how it should be everywhere. Once digital money, which can be programmed against us all, arrives, freedom will be over. All those who have a problem with paying with cash should inform themselves about this. So, we'll be coming back here next time we visit.

I couldn't say much about what to eat, and was greeted with "Left-wing, green riffraff are destroying Germany." Then I had some more direct words about my fellow human beings, left, and was yelled at for it. Depending on your ethos, I wouldn't recommend it. There are also delicious restaurants nearby, where the owners also use the device in their heads.

I decided not to stop by if they only welcome guests with "blue" leanings (see owner's responses) and cash payments. There are plenty of good alternatives in Wörlitz where you're welcome. Very unprofessional as a restaurateur.

Not recommended. The food is okay, but the staff is absolutely terrible. The service is completely overwhelmed and annoyed, and it really shows, letting everyone feel it. New guests were practically sent away cursing. The man behind the counter was constantly complaining and moaning. When he then loudly let everyone in the restaurant hear his political opinions, it became quite unpleasant for us and the other guests. Feeling comfortable is something else entirely... When the swear words started coming out of his mouth, we were about to get up and leave. But at that moment, the food arrived. Well, we ate it quickly and got out of there as quickly as we could. Very unprofessional. No wonder they're short-staffed. Who wants to work for someone like that?

A super nice place. You can enjoy a very comfortable meal there. The atmosphere is great and very quiet. The value for money is good. And the staff is very friendly.

The Seeblick restaurant is absolutely not recommended. Unfriendly greetings, guests are clearly not welcome here – especially if you just want a drink. On top of that, card payments aren't accepted, and the blunt comment is that card payers are "criminals." We would strongly advise against a visit. Rude, unprofessional, and completely out of date. This restaurant damages the reputation of Wörlitz Park.

Unfortunately, I can only agree with the negative reviews. I ordered sparkling water for €3.70 and received tap water. When asked, the waitress denied this. Based on the responses these guests made to criticism, you can already tell what kind of attitude these people are taking. Therefore, I can only advise against this place.

The name "Seeblick" suggests a more beautiful view than it actually is. The staff was snippy and seemed a bit overwhelmed. The currywurst wasn't particularly tasty, and the fries had a hint of old grease. Important: Payment is cash only… when everyone relies on card payments these days.

I haven't eaten this good in a long time. The fish with potato and salad was amazing.

Stressed or simply unfriendly service. Instead of sparkling water, I was offered a glass of still or tap water. When I asked about it, the answer was: "I was standing next to it and saw that it was sparkling water." The menu was snatched from my hand.

Beautiful location with a view of the lake – unfortunately, our visit was marred by several issues. Card payments are not accepted; the notice is only visible in small letters on the menu on the building facing the lake and was not visible from our entrance. After the drinks had already been served, they strictly insisted on cash payment. When we asked to just pay for the drinks and leave, they told us the food was already being prepared. No alternatives (e.g., real-time bank transfer/IBAN/PayPal of the hotel) were offered; instead, we were told to walk to the nearest ATM (about 2 km) – impractical with a small child. The service seemed visibly annoyed; we also heard similar negative comments at the next table. Quality: Fries were very hard/overly crispy and seemed inferior; Coke and apple spritzer were almost non-carbonated. The only thing that de-escalated the situation was a very friendly fellow guest who helped us out with cash. We still left a €1.20 tip. Conclusion: Legally, "cash only" may be fine, but it's not service-oriented or up-to-date (2025) at a busy tourist destination. Clear, easily visible signs at all entrances and a little more leniency would prevent a lot of trouble. PS: Attached are responses from the owner – very telling!

Landlords take out their frustration with staff shortages on their guests. If a guest doesn't allow enough time (more than an hour) for their ordered food to be served, they are insulted. The landlord loudly insults a guest (who couldn't eat their ordered meal and therefore canceled) with insulting swear words and questions their beliefs, because everyone who votes for the SPD or the Greens is, in his opinion, not the right vote. Even trout is prepared for the smoker with a lit cigarette in their mouth. Food hygiene simply doesn't look right. One could also respond to staff shortages by reducing the number of seats, or by informing guests of the longer wait time when they order and asking for their understanding. In any case, guests should not be bothered by this, and every guest deserves friendly, unbiased service, provided they behave respectfully and decently.

A-list delicious food. Since we were full and really wanted the homemade cake, they also offered it to go. View of the lake, great service. The food was on the table quickly. The price/performance ratio was also excellent 👍

Very good food and friendly staff. The chef is always ready with a lighthearted joke. Despite the restaurant being full, the service is very fast, and there are no long waits for the food. XXL portions are also XXL, and the prices are reasonable. Thank you very much.

I was able to celebrate and enjoy my birthday there. We are regular guests at the "Seeblick." It was no problem dining and staying there with 15 guests. "Cash only" How do you get cash in Wörlitz on a Sunday afternoon with a VR card?? 😄 I would have loved to come by, but of course I didn't have any cash with me. This is medieval – no card payments.

We had a truly wonderful meal there: warm smoked trout with homemade potato salad, simply a delight, and we've rarely had such delicious and fresh food. The host was cheerful, and the guests were relaxed. A truly lovely end to our vacation.

"AFD voters are given preferential treatment here." That's how you start a conversation there as the supposed owner. Nazi slogans while dining? Discrimination right at the front door? A landlord who doesn't care about anything and is just waiting for the takeover so he can host the regulars for the tile-table owners and party officials. No thanks, an absolute no-go zone. Germans, don't eat at Nazis' houses.

Despite a staff shortage and a packed house, hats off to the team. Always friendly and accommodating, plenty of delicious food, and very reasonable prices. The location is idyllic.

Dear Business Owner, I refer to your public handling of customer reviews and to comments made during the discussion about your payment methods. First of all, it is of course your right to decide for yourself which payment methods you accept in your business. However, it is equally legitimate for customers to question this or request a wider selection – such as card payments. What is unacceptable, however, are personal attacks on customers, especially insults toward my wife and derogatory comments about the way we raise our children. Such statements are unacceptable and clearly exceed the bounds of respectful behavior. Furthermore, a derogatory tone towards criticism was repeatedly expressed in your public responses to reviews. Calling customers "stupid" while portraying yourself as particularly intelligent and successful in business not only appears unprofessional, but – depending on the wording – can also be legally problematic (Section 185 of the German Criminal Code – Insult). Regarding cash, I would like to add that it is not an "independent means of payment" in the sense of particular transparency. Rather, it enables transactions without linking personal data – which has both advantages and disadvantages. This statement is factual and not an evaluation of your decision. It is regrettable that several customer inquiries regarding the introduction of card payments were not answered constructively, but rather dismissed with polemical statements. Customer requests should be taken seriously and at least discussed objectively. Finally, I would like to clarify that I see no reason to interpret your statements as "envy." Rather, I find the way you handle justified criticism questionable – both in tone and content. Anyone seeking more information on the development of your company can read, among other things, the Mitteldeutsche Zeitung of June 24, 2016. I hope that you will understand this feedback as constructive criticism and place greater emphasis on treating customers respectfully and in compliance with the law in the future.

We were lucky enough to get a table spontaneously – the restaurant was busy, which is generally a good sign. Unfortunately, despite everything, we still didn't feel particularly welcome. The service seemed visibly stressed, which was also noticeable in the atmosphere. At first, we asked for the door to be closed, as we were sitting directly in the draft. This request was initially complied with, but as we left, the waitress dismissed us with the phrase, "Finally, I can open the door again." – a comment that seemed unprofessional and unfortunately tarnished the overall impression. The food was okay, but such experiences unfortunately detract from the overall experience.

It tasted good. Afterwards, we wanted to use the restroom and had to listen as the boss ordered the busy and stressed waitress to clear our table promptly. We hoarded the seats, sitting lazily with our legs wide apart. If we spoke up quietly, we were spoon-fed... what a pity... a well-deserved day off (all the guests here are working hard for this family-friendly outing).

Questionable dump. I've been there twice and I'll never go back. Card payments? None – only cash, which is ridiculous in 2025. Friendliness? Customer service? Hygiene? They don't have that here. The waitress was not only unfriendly, but also dressed in completely unkempt house clothes. Guests were pushed to the checkout while they were eating. Thanks for nothing. * The unfriendliness of the staff is evident in their answers on Google Maps – and that's exactly how you'll be served there.

The smoked trout was sensational, and the chef was very personable. Unfortunately, one waitress seemed stressed. Nevertheless, we'll be back.

It was completely overcrowded, and the staff were completely overwhelmed with their customers, which prevented us from having more than a shandy. The food itself looked good, but the service took a long time. The food wasn't served at the same time for everyone at the table. But that's just my impression; we just watched and sipped our drinks.

We were there today. The waitress was very unfriendly and obviously completely annoyed and overwhelmed. We asked for a trout to go twice. Her response was, "I don't know if that's possible today." But it's posted. When we finished eating, we were practically forced to pay. Never again

This beautiful place has been our insider tip for fish lovers for years. Just imagine this delicacy: freshly smoked trout, still warm, alongside absolutely fantastic homemade potato salad, and a view of the lake... And that's not all! The waitresses and the owner are warm, friendly, and funny. They make every guest feel at home, and you can tell they enjoy working there. Keep up the good work! Thank you!

Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant. We arrived in beautiful sunshine as an unannounced group of 11 people shortly before the main meal time around 11am. Unfortunately we didn't feel welcome. The tone of the female waiter was very unfriendly towards us and other guests. We were more or less complimented out after 45 minutes. Very unfortunate. I give the 3 stars 'ambience' for the lake view from the terrace. The 2 stars 'food' are for the children's menu.

Very nice, idyllic small restaurant located directly at Wörlitzer Park with very friendly staff. Dogs are welcome. Food has a very good price-performance ratio and is very tasty. The home-smoked trout is highly recommended every now and then.

Anyone who goes off on such a verbal rampage should change their industry. If you insist on cash and don't accept card payments, you shouldn't be surprised if your customers are duped. I'm thinking of going out for dinner here with the whole family for our anniversary, but given the host's digital eloquence, I'll save myself an analogue visit... Where there is a will, there is a way! Where there is no will, you can talk your way out of it with cycle paths! 🤦‍♀️

We were out in the park with our children and wanted to stop at the restaurant. We read on the card that only cash payment is possible. We then apologized and said that unfortunately we couldn't eat there because we didn't have that much cash with us. As a result, the innkeeper shouted after us in front of our children that we were becoming dependent and that only cash counted. In any case, today's time is over and the restaurant will no longer see us as guests. It's a shame actually. Update to owner's response: I find the answer subpar because you did not understand the content of the review. We are quite capable of reading. It's not that they don't offer card payments. That's your decision and it's ok - even if it's not contemporary. But you can clearly mark it outside, so every guest can decide straight away whether they can come in or not. It's about your tone and the way you interact with guests. And involving our children in the issue does not show greatness or respect. A nice evening to you and good luck in the future.

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food, but Z.-Schnitzel simply doesn't exist anymore and the explanation from the lady in service, who referred to grandfathering and that's how we always did it, wasn't enough to show that this term is simply perceived as discriminatory by certain groups! It's a shame but it can't be changed. Unfortunately I can't respond to the owner's answer ;-( You have to sort out so much malice and crude/absurd statements in your little cobbled together brain! Discriminate and then see yourself as a victim🤮Dark Germany remains Dark Germany!

A restaurant in 2024 that foregoes card payments not only represents a hurdle to modern customer expectations, but also seems like a step back into the last century. At a time when more and more travelers and locals prefer to pay cashless, this decision seems downright anti-tourism. Why a basic service that has long been standard in other European countries is omitted in a tourist region remains questionable. The suspicion inevitably arises that the restaurateur is deliberately not making his income transparent by refusing to accept card payments. However, this is speculation and remains to be questioned. Nevertheless, the decision to insist on cash leaves an aftertaste that can arouse negative associations with guests. There is also another problematic element: it seems as if the owner is expressing his personal political views at the expense of his customers. Of course everyone has the right to their own opinion, but a restaurant is primarily a place of well-being and hospitality - making a political statement at this point could deter guests rather than attract them. Overall, this business conveys the image of a restaurant that rejects the spirit of the times and is confronted with unnecessary hurdles in a region that thrives on tourism. Guests want service, flexibility and the feeling of being welcome. Here, however, the guest seems to have to adapt.

I have to be honest, I didn't expect that. Ready-made schnitzel from the deep fryer doesn't work at all. Waiters were apparently overwhelmed and clearly showed this, even though all guests were relaxed. In doing so, you created an unpleasant atmosphere, which shouldn't have been the case. Trout is supposed to be good, we found out later.

Unfortunately it all took a very long time. If we had been told this in advance, we would have gone further. After that we were no longer able to cancel our order. The seasonal salad variation is a simple leaf lettuce with tomatoes, plus 4 frozen potato wedges for just under €17, far too much in my opinion. Apparently the trout are a hit here ;-)

We were the last guests today, despite a full house the service was top and so was the food. The fresh trout and also the chicken are a poem. A worthwhile stop.

Very friendly and warm staff. Plenty of food, you'll be full here. The menu is completely sufficient, everyone will find something here. :-) Gladly again
