Gasthaus Pfafflinger Neuburg in Neuburg a.d.Donau

We had dinner there yesterday. The price was right. Only the smell in the women's restroom was awful.

We chose this restaurant by chance as we were visiting from out of town. Unfortunately, the schnitzel was frozen, and the potato salad was very sour (from a bucket?). It's a shame there's no zero-star option. They don't accept card payments; there's only a small sign at the entrance that's easy to miss. The staff should really point this out before we order. All the women's restrooms were clogged, and there was an unpleasant smell.

So, I don't understand all the reviews? "Bad food, cooked improperly, etc." Maybe that was the case? This is an honest, authentic Bavarian inn with good food and, of course, good beer! A landlord who puts his heart into it and creates a good atmosphere. Definitely a recommendation.

Great food and very friendly service in an authentic and cozy Bavarian beer hall style. Fantastic Schäufele. Right next to parking garage, however toilets are in the basement, not great for people with handicaps.

NOT RECOMMENDED!!! This was my first time at Pfafflinger, and I have to say, for €26, I paid for a steak and four hash browns. Absolutely outrageous. The steak was tender, so I couldn't say anything about it, but there was a thick fiber running through the entire steak that I had to remove myself to eat it properly. When paying, I got drawn into a conversation and was given far too little money. When I noticed, the waiter said it was a tip, even though the tip had already been given... This place is simply a rip-off and ridiculous. YOU'D BE BETTER GOING NEXT TO THE CENTRAL. THERE YOU'LL BE TREATED DECENTLY AND WORTH YOUR MONEY!!!

Super delicious food and great atmosphere!

The South Tyrolean dumpling trio was a disgrace. The dumplings were hard, the "Mediterranean vegetables" were thawed, cheap frozen vegetables (carrots, beans, broccoli), and the nut butter was an indefinable flour mush topped with instant Parmesan. They couldn't go wrong with the Cordon Bleu, because anyone can fry frozen ready-made meals—never again!

I wanted to order the browned Leberkäse with fries instead of potato salad. They charged me €1.50 extra for changing my order. I didn't order. That's outrageous.

I was there for dinner today. There was a single waiter outside who served everyone alone and was always polite, approachable, and clean. The food was truly delicious, and each dish was lovingly prepared. You feel at home here and sometimes even have an extra drink because it's cozy. Thanks to the waiter for the lovely evening.

Friendly staff but food so-so, roast pork sauce quite liquid, little salt (you can season it further) Balkan plate might be a better choice since you can see who is in the kitchen

I was there on Saturday evening, ordered a steak, decided to test the cook ordered a medium rare steak, I must admit the guy did a great job, the meat was perfect, nothing more, nothing less, I highly recommend it.

It's been a while since I visited but I'd still like to share my experience. The food was okay - the meat wasn't seasoned and the fries were too salty. They did give us new ones but they didn't have any salt on them, which maybe wasn't so bad after all. The waiter complained that they were the only guests who had complained, which is an absolute no-go for me. You don't just start arguing with guests, that's service 1x1. As the food itself was neither good nor bad, it's getting a second star. But I think we happened upon the restaurant on a bad day, everyone should decide for themselves.

I had a roast beef with onions from Argentinian Campo del Beef with Fry'n'Dip fries and homemade fried onions. I've never had a better roast beef served before! This roast beef is worth every cent! It's incredibly tender, thanks to medium-rare cooking. A+++ isn't enough. The pork tenderloin with dumplings and coleslaw, which my wife had, is also worth a visit at Pfafflinger. Great chef and excellent service. GREAT, THANK YOU!

Delicious cordon bleu with fried potatoes, and extra-winsch with bacon and onions were also made right away. My girlfriend also praised the dumpling trio. We'd love to come back next time in Neuburg.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't the best on the plate. I had a shoulder of pork with potato dumplings, which was good until I shared the dumpling, which was unfortunately a convenience product and not homemade. I think you can prepare some things yourself without buying anything. Otherwise, the location was great, and the waiters were friendly and attentive.

Inedible, inedible roast pork...! After we told the young waiter that the roast pork was not edible because it was as tough as the sole of a shoe, he said he would let us know in the kitchen. After we wanted to pay (which took about 30 minutes) we informed the lady with the "cashier's authority" about this again! Answer: that doesn't work at all!! She apologized for it, but charged the full price. No espresso or any will to make up for the dilemma...We drove home hungry! Hence this 1 star rating, but only for the location in the city.

We were there for the first time on July 24 and were very excited. We decided to go back this holiday and were there today and very disappointed. My son ate cheese spaetzel (ordered without fried onions, but came with it - well, that can happen...), last year a great large portion, now this was just a heap of it but the price remained the same. Salad plate also very heartless for just under 13 euros, mushrooms too mushy, sour cream was ok. It wasn't clear on the internet that there was a reduced menu on Sundays. Those who sat outside got a day ticket, there was no mention of that. Very unfortunate. Next time we'll go somewhere else

Unfortunately, this visit wasn't a nice experience, unfortunately there was a lack of service in contrast to the frying fat during the meal. In addition, EC card payment was not possible because the device has been broken for a week and I should find out where I can get cash from now. Not recommended, I won't set foot in this restaurant again.

After numerous visits over the years, it remains clear that due to the exposed location in the center, many people grudgingly accept the deficiencies in the process and the food. Regulars' meetings and clubs have to come together here because there are hardly any suitable spaces elsewhere. So of course I was there at some important (annual) meetings. It is a mystery to me why the detailed feedback from numerous guests does not result in any improvements. Apparently it's enough that it's unlocked. The longer opening hours are positive, because yesterday, for example, we were sent away from the neighboring restaurant. Menus greasy and unappealing. Beer lukewarm. Vegan options (plant-based burgers were no longer on the menu) are missing. No day ticket or blackboard notices. Once there were no champagne glasses. Again, salad with mushrooms not worth the high price. Portion, composition, number of mushrooms, overall impression and taste disappointing. Service sometimes committed, sometimes unfriendly to downright rude. Main guest room uncomfortable, difficult acoustics. Toilets are not barrier-free due to structural conditions. As I said, what you see on the plates of your club colleagues, especially when it comes to “desserts”, is completely off-putting. Side salad is loveless, I only order drinks. But I will definitely avoid this establishment now. Answers from the management to well-founded criticism from the visitors "frozen goods, packet soup". Replying "highest quality and freshness" is sad and arrogant. Rating/stars for food not possible because category “Room” (not relevant) is specified.

With the new chef, the quality of the food has taken a huge leap forward. The service was and is fast, friendly and attentive.

We went there spontaneously for dinner yesterday and I have to say I have never eaten such delicious cheese spaetzle before. Personally, I wouldn't have needed the onions that were just briefly melted in butter with the roasted ones, but I still enjoyed it excellently. The side salad was plentiful, almost like a small salad and a delicious dressing. The service was friendly and quick. The drinks warmer was also included upon request without any problems. With the spa ribs, the BBC sauce was a bit very dominant in terms of smoking. Otherwise everything was really great. We'd love to come back.

I had made reservations for a Christmas party for 30 people at 3 p.m. At 5 p.m. I was asked whether an interim invoice could be made, which I paid 1150 euros. Shortly afterwards the waiter came with the comment that reservations would be made again at 6 p.m. and there would be no room for us. After that nothing more was served to us and we left. I don't think that's possible and we couldn't even order dessert

I ordered “onion roast” with fried potatoes and bacon beans - the meat should be medium - conclusion: the meat was well-done and dry, the bacon beans were literally swimming in a cream sauce, the fried onions weren't crispy and the sauce was on the meat. . . Without words - not like this for a long time!! eaten badly. . .

Four of us recently had dinner there, so I can't comment on the rooms. The location is good, there is an underground car park right next to it, which is free from 6 p.m. (note: it closes at midnight). The food was really good, even if the starter soups could definitely use a little more salt (but seasoning at the table is no problem!). The onion roast was perfectly cooked and tender, the sauce was very tasty and the beans (cream?) vegetables were very tasty; The fried potatoes tasted very good, but could have had a few more roasted flavors. The schnitzel and cordon bleu were excellent, the shovel fries were nice and crispy and soft on the inside. The dishes seen on other tables all seemed very appetizing - it was actually difficult to choose from the menu. The service was very personal (we thought it was good!) and attentive, empty plates or glasses were immediately noticed and we were asked if we could have anything else. The innkeeper seemed very warm and you immediately had the feeling of being welcomed as a guest when you greeted us. The furnishings are rather rustic, but ideal for both a meal and a cozy get-together. In our opinion, the prices were appropriate for the portion size and the quality of the food. We had a lovely evening and will definitely be back!

Rarely has it been so disrespected! We actually wanted to go to another restaurant but ended up in Pfafflinger because of the inviting atmosphere it exudes. It was well attended and the waitress diligently jumped past us to look after the (regular) guests. The waitress didn't even think it was necessary to bring us the menu. When she then joined another guest 5 meters next to us to have a smoke, our patience was finally over and we left the restaurant. The whole thing was topped by the fact that as I was leaving I saw in the corner of my eye how she complained about us to the other guest with a derogatory hand gesture. Hello, No, we were so bold and sat down at a free table. I still don't understand why we weren't served? The waitress saw us and made a derogatory gesture when we left. A few days later I found out that a friend of mine had had a similar experience. Apparently your condition is not quite as customer-oriented as you as the owner would like.

Unfortunately I have to say the restaurant was the biggest disappointment! I've never eaten so badly!! Outside advertising on the chalkboard for bread dumplings/loin with mushroom cream sauce. Dumplings were no longer available on Saturday at 5 p.m. Instead, spaetzle. My wife ordered veal liver with fried potatoes. Food completely cold! Meat extremely tough! 3 tiny pieces of liver! Let food go back. Our appetite was spoiled so we didn't want anything new. And then the crowning finale. Full price charged! I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat there!!!!!! Not even worth one star!

Were there for the first time and will definitely come back. Prices were definitely justified and fair. Service great. Both waitresses were super friendly and asked regularly, but not too often, whether everything was okay. For food we had the snack platter and the Wiener Schnitzel with fries. Snack plate: 6 half slices of bread, a bit too much topping for me personally (6 slices of cheese, 6 slices of vegetable lyoner, 3 thicker slices of smoked ham, 1 large gherkin, a few slices of vegetable onion. Plus horseradish and butter) Schnitzel: 1 large and thin schnitzel, large, crispy fries, parsley and cress as decoration on the edge in case someone doesn't like it. Overall, the visit was very worthwhile. We paid ~€38 for 2 meals and 2 drinks.

Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was very good and the waiting time for the food was absolutely reasonable. There were nine of us who got our food together. Conclusion: absolutely recommended!

0 stars for the service. Waited 1.5 hours for the food. Instead of an onion roast, we got a veal liver. The service was very unfriendly and always had a stupid saying. That's how it should be in the catering industry... UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES. I don't understand how a restaurant that has a chef from the series My Local Your Local was a winner can offer such poor service and poor food. After I got my onion roast, I was even more disappointed. Flaxy meat and fried potatoes were mushy. Very sad. I could have invested the money in a kebab and thrown the rest into the slot machine. I would have had more of it.

I was hoping that the food at Pfafflinger would finally be really good thanks to the new chef, who I know from another restaurant. He probably wasn't there today because he would never have sent out something like that. I'm actually too stupid to give a detailed description of the entire situation now, as the time in Pfafflinger was already a waste enough. Just this much: I had two meals returned and wasn't even allowed to tell the chef in person what the problem was. A somewhat brisk waitress blocked my way and said she would clarify this with me. Another waiter snapped at me that no one had ever complained about the food except me. I've never experienced that before either.

This cozy restaurant not only serves first-class food, but also offers excellent service. The new chef impressed us with his creative dishes, and the service was equally remarkable. Extra requests were implemented promptly and perfectly, making our visit a completely successful experience. Absolutely recommended for an enjoyable evening!

The restaurant is cozy, the service is attentive. The food leaves a lot to be desired. Instead of Mediterranean vegetables with nut butter (according to the menu), market vegetables with a light sauce are served with the Tris dumplings. However, after consultation, no one seems to be interested in this. Otherwise, people like to fry a lot here, so we don't need it like that anymore.
