It's a nice, quaint pub with a great menu. There is something for everyone, whether you are a vegetarian or a meat lover, whether you are hungry or small. The drinks menu is also very large. The food tasted very good.

Saturday evening: Waited 1:05 hours for food - lukewarm. Lt. Conversation with the owner an acceptable waiting time. Either the owner is on a very high horse or my expectations of post-Corona gastronomy are too high. No matter: The Ott has lost a guest.

I came here with a huge appetite for tarte flambée - and was not disappointed. There are two variations on the menu (classic and Greek). At my request I got a mix of both. This may have been due to the fact that it was quite empty, but the service was good. I could only have taken a photo of the empty board because I was really hungry. Maybe next time. I'll be back. Update (Saturday): Even with more customers, everything is fine. I drove here at noon today (almost exactly 12 o'clock). A large party arrived with me (birthday or something), but everything in the dining room at the front is still running smoothly and quickly. I'm very impressed. I put a star on it for the ambience, I hadn't paid enough attention to that recently.

We went there for dinner with a group of 13 people. Drinks and food can be absorbed quickly. In general, the waitress kept checking on us. The rump steak with bacon beans, corn on the cob, fries and homemade herb butter was sensational! With food and two drinks I paid €43.

Were invited to dinner. Dark restaurant, loud music. The food was good, but unfortunately the rösti wasn't quite cooked through. Meat great. Service, hectic waiter. Didn't want ice cream because I had a milk intolerance, but instead wanted crème brûlée, according to the chef. I asked the waiter and explained to him that there was milk in it and got the answer promptly, the kitchen said there was no milk in it. Resulting in abdominal pain and diarrhea. Thank you too! Salad way too sour. I can't say whether I would go out to eat again.

We ate schnitzel with spaetzle and the mushroom cream sauce and were very impressed with the schnitzel, the sauce was delicious. The spaetzle wasn't particularly special for us.

Very tasty and cool inside, you have to see it for yourself.

The food is excellent. We tried the vegetarian options: 1. Rosti with Mushroom sauce. Potatoes were crisp and at right consistency. The mushroom sauce was flavorful with different types of mushroom, each type cooked to it's best consistency. 2. Mocha creme brulle. The creme brulle was quite yummy and platted with berries sauce, cream and fresh berries. The combination tasted very good. Both dishes were cooked to perfection.

We came this Saturday evening with 4 people without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a table in this rustic restaurant. The service was always very friendly, delicious food and good value for money. We were very satisfied and can only praise the restaurant!

Finally something different in a positive sense. Great menu and as a vegetarian it's not just the usual cheese spaetzle. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Went there by chance and would do it again anytime if we were in the area

A very tasty and lovingly decorated Kaiserschmarn once again rewarded our second visit in years. With its rustic, cozy furnishings, the inn has an absolute unique selling point in the wide area. We'd love to come back.

Wir waren gestern dort essen und wurden angequatscht dass meine Kinder sich zu laut unterhalten. Und das in einem Lokal wo Fußballspiele live gezeigt werden und generell alles wie Sportbar aussieht. Kinder sind euch zu laut? Und wenn es dort Fußball lauft ist nicht zu laut? Also Klappe halten.

Ich kenne das Lokal bereits von diversen Dienstreisen und wir sind heute spontan essen gewesen. Super toller Service - leckeres und ehrliches Essen. Vielen Dank und immer wieder gerne ❣️

Gutbürgerliche, schmackhafte Küche und freundlicher Service, mitten in der Altstadt. Ich hatte ein Rumpsteak mit Pommes frittes und Speckbohnen. Das üppig große, sehr zarte Steak war sehr gut, die Speckbohnen etwas zu weich gegart. Bei passender Gelegenheit komme ich gerne wieder.

A rustic restaurant with good home cooking. A little away from the hustle and bustle on the main shopping street (market events from May 9th to 12th). The food was tasty, well prepared and plentiful. When we're back in the area, we'll stop there.

Quite a large restaurant unfortunately without any “quiet corners” with mainly very friendly service but average food.

I have to say the Gasthaus Ott is an inn with a long tradition and history. For some time it was called "Yankess Brauhaus" (hopefully spelled correctly) and there was actually a home brewery. But that's on the sidelines. Today it is a good restaurant, very busy with many regular customers, of which I am one. I have to admit that I have never eaten there before, only to drink as a counter guest. But it has to be great with food. Yes, on Easter Sunday I have Primiere in the Ott then I will eat there for the first time. Unfortunately there are not enough stars to rate this great inn. Domenik keep it up Top 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

We ate very well and quality. The menu is varied, especially for meat or chicken dishes. I ate a large and wonderful cordon Blue with a side of fennel and sunflower seed salad served with a kind of German pasta. . While as an appetizer we got a really yummy potato rosty. My boyfriend ordered a fillet beef. I'll be back

My last dinner in Germany before I left the country. Service was fast and the food was good. The ambiance is quite cozy and warm.

Wir hatten reserviert. Separee .... als wir ankamen, war das separee besetzt...obwohl extra bestellt. War unser 30. Hochhzeitags. Essen! Ich würde sagen...es wurde alles in der Fritteuse zubereitet. Ich musste ständig aufstoßen....kenne ich eigentlich nicht. Fazit: Nach zweitem Reinfall kommen wir hier nicht mehr her. 21.01.2024

Tolle Atmosphäre. Bedienung war etwas langsam. Sind zu einer Gruppe dazugestoßen und mussten ca 10-15 Minuten warten, trotz dass wir am Tisch vor dem Tresen saßen, bis wir etwas zu trinken bestellen konnten, was auch dann erstmal falsch ankam. Wurde korrigiert und war auch halb so wild nur das lange warten fand ich nicht so in Ordnung vorallem, da auch nicht all zu viel los war. Ansonsten Top Essen und Preise sind völlig in Ordnung.

Ein äußerst gemütliches Lokal in der Villinger Altstadt mit ausgefallener Dekoration. Die Mahlzeiten sind reichlich und äußerst schmackhaft. Der Service freundlich, aufmerksam und flexibel. Da gehen wir gerne wieder hin!

Verhältnismässig laute, die Gespräche störende Hintergrundmusik. Das Essen war qualitativ durchschnittlich und selbst der Kellner hat gesagt: "Ohne einen Vorspeisensalat reicht die Portion Käsespätzle bei Hunger nicht aus." Der Fensterplatz in der der Ecke war zwar angenehm, jedoch kühl vom Fenster und sehr Zug bei offener Gasthaustüre. Und die Türe war oft offen.... Der Preis für eine Flasche Mineralwasser ist zudem eher im oberen Bereich.

Tolle Einrichtung, sieht von Aussen klein aus ,doch es täuscht innen ist es groß , sehr cool in verschiedene Bereiche eingeteilt hat mir richtig gefallen. Ebenso das Essen war sehr Lecker ...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ sind noch zu wenig, deshalb gibt es noch einen zusätzlichen ⭐️! Seltenst so aufmerksame, freundliche, gutgelaunte, schnelle und zuvorkommende Servicekräfte gesehen! Das Essen ebenso ein Traum. Bruscetta 5 ⭐️. Das Rumpsteak 5 ⭐️ war genau auf den Punkt gebraten und geschmacklich ebenso perfekt gewürzt wie die Beilagen. Tipp: Dessert Erdbeerknödel 5⭐️! Die Dinger sind jede Sünde wert! Es gibt nichts was man verbessern könnte! Die Portionen rechtfertigen den Preis! Würden wir nicht 400 km entfernt wohnen wäre dies zu 100% eines unserer Stammlokale werden. Riesen Lob an Küche, Service und Geschäftsführung!

Essen war gut, Ambiente ist mal was anderes nur finde ich es schade wenn man es nicht schaft ein Glas bis zum Eichsteich zu füllen. Wenn sparen dann bitte an ner anderen Stelle.

Man kann glatte 5 Sterne geben. Waren heute abend zu viert essen,einmaliger Service in Villingen. Es passt einfach alles. Essen schmeckt sehr sehr lecker und die Zubereitung der Speisen geht richtig schnell,so dass jeder innerhalb von wenigen Minuten gleichzeitig anfangen zu essen kann! Und über die Ambiente kann einem nur die Worte fehlen,jede Ecke sieht anders aus,wie bei einem Puzzle,aber im gesamten ergibt sich ein richtig schönes Bild! Danke euch,wir kommen sicherlich wieder!

Den Zwiebelrostbraten kann man nur weiterempfehlen 🙌

Waren zum Essen da. Ein Essen war extrem übersalzen, was ja mal passieren kann. Habe das nett dem Service gesagt und das Essen zurückgegeben. Geärgert hat mich dann, das Gasthaus hat dies mit einem kostenfreien Espresso als gelöst gesehen mir aber das versalzene Essen in voller Höhe in Rechnung gestellt. Schade.
