Noch nie so ein gutes Schwabenpfännle gegessen wie hier im Ott. Gut, und sogar eine große Portion. Sehr empfehlenswert!! Ott ist immer eine Garantie für ein Gutes Gasthaus

Ich kann nur gutes mitteilen. Das Restaurant ist innen ein optisches Kleinod. Im Freien ist unter den Bäumen schön schattig und der Wind war bei den Temperaturen sehr angenehm. Zum Essen gibt es ein sehr gutes Lob. Alles war geschmacklich super lecker und für alle das richtige auf der Karte. Man wird richtig satt.

Wir waren heute erstmals im Ott. Das Personal war sehr engagiert und freundlich. Flexible Gastgeber in uriger Atmosphäre. Sehr gute Speisen zu fairen Preisen.

Nachdem ich in über 40 deutschen Restaurants gegessen habe, war ich zum ersten Mal enttäuscht. Überall herrschte ein chaotisches und lautes Ambiente, das Essen war mittelmäßig, das Personal kaum präsent, und wir mussten eine Stunde und zehn Minuten auf unser Essen warten. Wir hatten Schweinefilet mit Spätzle und gekochtem Gemüse bestellt. Das Filet war trocken und zäh, das Gemüse roh und ungenießbar, die Spätzle hingegen waren gut.

Sehr gutes Essen und super Service. Es gab von allen nur Lob. Alter Williams mit 2cl für 5 € finde ich sehr teuer. Die 1 Liter Flasche kostet im Einkauf ca 31€, also 0,62€ für 2cl. Getränke und vor allem Shorts sind ja mittlerweile aber überall sehr teurer. Behindertentoilette ist sehr schlecht. Der Eingang ist mit dem Rollstuhl fast nicht erreichbar, da es mit engen Gängen um Ecken geht. Im Toilettenraum hat es nicht wie üblich links und rechts der Toilette eine Haltestange. Wenn die Gäste hier nicht sehr fit sind ist die Toilette nicht nutzbar.

Es ist wohl das Beste Restaurant in Villingen, sehr sehr gutbürgerliche Küche, top Service, gemütlich, saubere WC, Personal ist mehr als sehr gut, dort kann man immer hingehen

Das Restaurant Ott ist ein richtig typisches, ehrliches Wirtshaus mitten in der Villinger Stadtmitte. Die Atmosphäre ist herrlich ungezwungen – perfekt, um sich einfach auf ein gemütliches Bier oder ein Glas Wein mit Freunden zu treffen. Aber auch die Küche ist absolut erstklassig! Ein ganz großes Highlight und eine absolute Empfehlung ist der Zwiebelrostbraten – der war auf den Punkt zubereitet. Aber auch die restlichen Speisen auf der Karte, die wir probiert haben, sind durchweg zu empfehlen. Hier stimmt die Qualität einfach von vorne bis hinten. Wer die Kombination aus traditionellem Wirtshaus-Flair und richtig gutem Essen sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Nettes Personal......bei der zweiten, bestellten Portion, guckte man mich zwar unglaubwürdig an 🤣 aber war lustig!

Restaurant mit qualitativ sehr gutem Essen... Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam... Sitzgelegenheiten im Sommer auch davor.... Je nach Gruppengröße und Uhrzeit ist evtl eine Reservierung sinnvoll...

Wer gute regionale Küche abseits des Zentrums sucht ist hier richtig.

Ein kulinarisches Gedicht in tollem Ambiente! ​In einem wunderschön auf Vintage stilisierten Interieur mit Backsteinmauern und geschmackvoller Dekoration fühlt man sich sofort wohl. Das Essen ist fantastisch: Sowohl der Zwiebelrostbraten mit Spätzle als auch das Rumpsteak mit Pommes – beide aus argentinischem Angusrind – waren auf den Punkt perfekt niedergegart. Dazu gab es liebevoll zubereitetes Gemüse mit frischen Kräutern. Ein absolutes Gedicht! ​Der Service war aufmerksam, ohne sich aufzudrängen – einfach perfekt. Diese Gaststube will man definitiv wiedersehen. Absolute Empfehlung!

Samstag Abend beim Klassentreffen Gasthaus Ott in Villingen. Allen waren durchweg zufrieden mit der Auswahl vom Essen. Z.B. : Wurstsalat, Rösti in verschiedenen Herrichtungen, kleiner Salatteller, Wiener Schnitzel ... ich hatte Rösti mit Black Angus Rinderstreifen und Birnen Chutney mit feiner Gorgonzola Sosse. Auch der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Preis Leistung ist absolut in Ordnung 👍🤝

Habe einen Burger ausdrücklich ohne Jalapenos bestellt. Ein großes Stück Jalapeno war dann doch drauf und eine entsprechende Schärfe war vorhanden. Das habe ich der Bedienung gesagt, auch, dass es nicht so schlimm ist, wenn es bei dem einen Stück bleibt. So war es dann auch. Ich hätte mir trotzdem gewünscht, dass es den Kaffee aufs Haus gibt. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Manchmal etwas nervig, wenn man im 3 Minuten Abstand von verschiedenen Bedienungen gefragt wird, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir haben draußen gesessen. Die Stühle sind etwas unbequem und so direkt auf dem Gehweg am Eingang fand ich persönlich nicht so toll. Aber besser, als im Sommer drinnen sitzen zu müssen.

Hatten nur einen Aperol getrunken und einen Alkoholfreien Lilet. War beides sehr gut .

Ein uriges Gasthaus mit mehreren gemütlichen Gewölbekeller, einem lichten Speiseraum und viel Theke. Schöner Aussenbreich am Eingang mit Stehtischen, ideal zum Schwofen mit den Einheimischen. Sehr zuvorkommende Bedienung, Getränke kommen Zackzack. Essen sehr schön angerichtet und schmackhaft. Manches ein wenig salzig. Wir waren eine große Runde von ca 20 Menschen, da kam das Essen leider über ca . 20 Minuten verteilt serviert, aber war auch offhour. Toiletten für behinderte Personen etwas schwer zugänglich. Insgesamt aber unbedingte Empfehlung.

Wir waren zum ersten mal hier und werden wieder kommen. Das Essen schmeckt durchweg super, die Portionen sind mehr als ausreichend, das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Ambiente ist wirklich klasse und wir waren einfach rund um zufrieden.

Ich habe dort 2 Radler getrunken und habe mich nach draußen gesetzt, während ich auf die Bedienung wartete, stand an der Eingangstüre eine Mitarbeiterin die sich ausgiebig unterhielt, dann ohne mich zu beachten einfach davonlief. Dann kam eine andere Bedienung beider ich meine Bestellung aufgab, gebracht hatte mir das Getränk dann die Bedienung, die mich vorher nicht beachtet hatte, komplett unfreundlich. Als ich dann zahlen wollte, kam dann wieder die andere Bedienung, der ich dann sagte was mich geärgert hat, die stritt sich dann fast mit mir und behauptete, sie hätte mir das erste Radler gebracht. Gasthaus Ott ist ab sofort Geschichte.

Der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Essen (Cordon Bleu mit Käsespätzle) war außerordentlich gut. Und das Ambiente ist rustikal und gemütlich.

Mehr als gut, dazu hervorragendes Essen.

Ein toller Besuch in Villingen! Das Essen war einfach, da Karnevalszeit war, aber der Service war ausgezeichnet!

Das Ott gehört ganz klar zu Villingen und ganz klar zur Färberstraße ;) Viele Jahre immer wieder Gast gewesen und bisher noch nie enttäuscht gewesen. Die Bedienungen sind immer auf Zack und wissen, wie der Laden läuft. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend! Leider wird auch dieses Lokal immer teurer, aber fairerweise muss man auch sagen, das es ohne diese Preissteigerungen nicht geht. Es muss ja schließlich alles gezahlt sein und gute Mitarbeiter kosten schließlich auch.

Ich war zum Abendessen eingeladen. Es ist ein sehr schönes altertümliches Gasthaus. Die Speisekarte wieß eine eigene Seite für Röstis auf und da konnte ich nicht nein sagen. Es war verdammt lecker. Die anderen Speisen sahen aber auch sehr gut aus. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Wir haben gut gegessen, sind nett bedient worden.

Wir waren mit unserem 2-jährigen Sohn in Gasthaus Ott. Preis für zwei Hauptgerichte plus einem Kindergericht und jeweils Getränke lag bei rund 78€. So ein Preis ist für unser Empfinden doch schon eher teuer. Da sind die Erwartungen dann entsprechend höher. Wir fanden das Essen aber eher durchschnittlich. Darüberhinaus waren die Pommes vom Kindergericht zum Großteil nicht durch. Wir haben das reklamiert, haben aber das Angebot einer neuen Portion abgelehnt, weil das Kind sowieso satt war. Trotzdem hätten wir uns zumindest über eine Entschuldigung aus Höflichkeit gefreut. Statt der neuen Portion hätte man uns auch den Preis reduzieren können. Die Kindergerichte könnten etwas vielfältiger bzw. gesünder sein. Die übrige Speisekarte hat für jeden Geschmack was dabei, außer vegan. Sehr schön fanden wir das Ambiente dort. Sehr gemütlich und eine beeindruckende Deko an der Decke. Es gibt auch ein separates WC mit Wickeltisch, was von Mutter und Vater genutzt werden kann. Das ist super, noch besser wäre, wenn es dort die Möglichkeit zum Händewaschen und -trocknen gäbe.

Sehr leckere lokale Küche, super Bedienung und trotz vollem Restaurant war die Wartezeit total im Rahmen.

Traditional dishes are prepared with great care and a noticeable attention to detail. The consistent quality and the selection of high-quality ingredients are particularly noteworthy. The ambiance is refined, inviting, and creates a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Gasthaus Ott offers a first-class dining experience that can be wholeheartedly recommended. A visit is always worthwhile.

My husband has to go to a health resort, and I accompanied him at least as far as Villingen. We stayed in a hotel and enjoyed a lovely day. Beforehand, I looked for restaurants we might like. There were two to choose from, and we ended up going to Gasthaus Ott, mainly because of the ambiance from the outside, and especially because: They had pork cheeks! The restaurant is quaint and cozy; you just feel comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! We usually order two different dishes, but the pork cheeks were simply TOO tempting! And PERFECT! We're always happy when we find dishes like that! (No offense, I can fry up a schnitzel myself! ... By the way, we're both cooks ;) ) Perhaps the "purée" was a misnomer; it was more like mashed potatoes, but homemade and fresh! The accompanying root vegetables tasted as if they had been cooked fresh to order! (Nitpicking, really: it could have used a bit more seasoning ;), even though it went perfectly with the port wine sauce!) Dear Gasthaus Ott, keep up the great work with these delicious dishes! We had a lovely evening and a fantastic meal! And your staff is wonderful! The cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender! A huge portion!

The service was downright unfriendly (at least the server we had). This immediately ruined the otherwise lovely rustic atmosphere. Food: They advertise homemade Spätzle, but I don't believe that was the case. I've had much fresher-tasting Spätzle in other restaurants. Overall, everything was very expensive for what you get, and when it came to the bill, they deliberately (sorry, but it was really obvious) charged me incorrectly and very deliberately didn't offer me a receipt. Next time, I'll go somewhere else for good, traditional German food.

We went there for a nightcap and found a beautifully decorated pub. The service was super friendly and communicative, and NOT like some places where they're just stuck behind the bar.

I drove all the way to Ott today because their online menu said: CURRENTLY ON OTT Half crispy roast duck Half freshly grilled roast duck from the oven Bread dumplings / Red cabbage / 1, 4, 6, 9 Lactose-free €26.00 with orange sauce! But what a joke! No duck at Ott! The restaurant itself has a fantastic atmosphere, but the chef seems to work full-time for DHL, delivering packages! So I ordered a schnitzel with fried potatoes and gravy as a substitute… a total disaster! The taste was abysmal! They should send Mike Süßer and his team from "My Restaurant, Your Restaurant" there; they'd probably get kicked out of the competition! I haven't eaten this badly in ages!

We made a very last-minute reservation for six people. The gentleman on the phone was very friendly. A table near the counter with bar stools was still available. It was great that this was mentioned. Highly recommended for lovers of traditional German cuisine! Very attentive and friendly staff. The food is high-quality, homemade, and made with regional ingredients. Our waiter deserves 5 stars! We will definitely be back.

The food is delicious, but the value for money isn't quite right. The food is a bit overpriced for the quality you get. We had a soup starter and a schnitzel/cordon bleu, along with two drinks, and paid just under €65. Our order came super quickly, and the service was very friendly. The vegetarian menu is a bit small; as a tip, highlight the vegetarian dishes; this would make searching much easier.

Update: For about 20 years, I've been visiting Gasthaus Ott every year during a seminar (at least once). This year it was even better than usual. The service (outside) was so attentive and professional, something you rarely experience. Furthermore, "South Tyrolean Weeks" were taking place, and I found that, in addition to the delicious, traditional Rösti, the menu now also included Schluzkrapfen and other dishes. I opted for the spinach dumplings with Gorgonzola on coleslaw (with bacon) and was not disappointed—quite the opposite! Beautifully served—perfectly flavorful—a dream. And the service was fantastic. It couldn't be better. Old review from 2019: Cozy, friendly, very tasty—my number one choice when I'm in the area.

It was very tasty! Rösti chicken. I recommend it! The meat was very juicy and tender. But it would have been great if there were a little less meat and at least some vegetables or greens on the plate. The portion is large enough to fill you up. Great.

We were staying in Villingen for 6 nights, and we ate here twice as it was so good and the staff so welcoming and friendly! The menu has traditional meals and delicious salads and sides: the schnitzel and cordon bleu were amazing, and the rosti - and the salads - and everything!

The restaurant impresses as soon as you enter, with its stylish yet inviting ambiance. The rooms are spacious, very tastefully decorated, and absolutely clean. The restrooms are also well-maintained, which is especially noticeable during a family visit. There's plenty of space, with many different seating options – ideal for larger groups like ours. The staff was consistently friendly, attentive, and well-prepared for families. Our children were immediately taken into consideration without us having to ask. You feel taken seriously as a guest – no matter how young or old you are. It's a place where everyone truly feels welcome. The food was of an exceptionally high standard. We often eat out – especially in Berlin – and can say with conviction: This was top-class cuisine. Every dish was superbly seasoned, freshly prepared, and lovingly presented. Our entire group was thrilled; everyone truly enjoyed it. A big compliment to the kitchen! The value for money is also more than fair. For the quality offered, you get outstanding service at a reasonable price. You can conveniently pay by debit card or cash. Conclusion: Gasthaus Ott impressed us in every respect. Anyone looking for good food, hospitality, and a stylish, family-friendly atmosphere will not be disappointed. A clear recommendation – even for those who don't mind traveling from Berlin. We would be happy to return.

I was there yesterday and had a salad with chicken breast, and today I had the tagliatelle with strips of beef fillet. It was delicious, and the service was super friendly. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the Cordon Bleu wasn't particularly good. It tasted like it was bought from a supermarket and made at home... I can't recommend it. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very nice.

Very tasty food, a wide selection of drinks. Friendly service and a lovely ambiance (traditional Black Forest). It's a bit more expensive, but you won't be disappointed.

Very good food. I had Schnitzel with spätzle and mushroom sauce, as well as a local beer on tap. The meat in the Schnitzel was from a local farm, just 10 km from the restaurant.

We just had cevapcici with djuvec rice and fries. The fries were too salty, the ajvar tasted like it had Parmesan in it, disgusting. The green salad wasn't washed properly. I'm disappointed with the food 🤮

Wonderful, surprising decor, very friendly and helpful staff (okay, maybe they could have warned me that the "small pork schnitzel" was the size of my two hands... lol!) We were in Villingen on the shopping Sunday and were looking for a restaurant because we were thirsty. Then we saw the food coming out of the kitchen and decided to eat something too. The building itself appears to be very old and has certainly been rebuilt many times over the centuries. The restaurant is original. The food wasn't cheap, but we enjoyed it and the portions were so big that no one went hungry. However, the drink prices are steep. 0.3 Pils or Radler 4 €. 0.5 Radler 5.50 and a 0.4 juice spritzer 4.50 €. 🤔

On Wednesday evening we spontaneously went to the Ott and found space for two people. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating and always tried to make it as pleasant as possible. The two side salads were fresh and well prepared. The South Tyrolean Cordonbleu and the farmer's bratwurst with fries were very plentiful and delicious. What's great about service is that you get extra sauces at no extra charge. Finally there was an espresso. We always enjoy coming to the Ott. Thank you for the great service. 🍀👍
