Excellent food and outstanding service! Even though we called at very short notice, Daniel still found us a table, and we were completely satisfied with the service. Friendly, attentive, and always with a smile!

Mediocre food at exorbitant prices. You couldn't change the side dish, and that was with a schnitzel costing an outrageous €33.00. The Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) were bland and tasted only of cream. Not really recommended. I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

The waiter was incredibly rude. Firstly he acted annoyed when not hearing in a noisy environment and made faces at the customers. When taking the order he got frustrated when his iPad failed (hardly the customers' fault) and took this frustration out by acting rude again. This was a consistent behaviour. At one point out table politely inquired about when the meal would be ready and he reassured us that it was on the way. 20 minutes later he came and apologized saying that the chef has only started cooking our meals because the order had not been received by the chef. This was the one and only time that he was polite the whole evening. In a strange way I found it entertaining watching how incredibly rude this person was who was supposed to be providing customer service. I would absolutely go out of my way to never go there again. The food was fine, the restaurant was uncomfortably hot, and service was memorable in the worst way.

Excellent restaurant with traditional Bavarian cuisine. Very kind and courteous staff.

We ordered 1. Broccoli and mushroom gnocchi for €22.50 and 2. Allgäu-style cheese spaetzle for €20.90. The broccoli was so crisp, the gnocchi so soft and crispy at the same time. The best gnocchi I've ever eaten! The cheese spaetzle came with spinach, which was a perfect combination. The homemade onions were crispy and not rubbery, as I've often experienced elsewhere. I've read reviews saying the price is excessive. But those people are only looking at the money and haven't grasped what quality means. This is a hidden gem: If you want to enjoy the best gnocchi or the best cheese spaetzle, this is the place to go. -- Regarding the service: The server greeted us immediately, brought the menus, and the food arrived after just 15 minutes. We didn't have to wait at all. It was a very professional and efficient experience.

We had dinner yesterday. The online pictures don't match the menu. The food wasn't good, and the price was very high. Service left a lot to be desired. Not recommended!

We stayed at the hotel and had a very nice dinner our first night. The food was fantastic and the service wonderful. Our only issue was the overall cost was quite high.

A fantastic and pleasant restaurant, we found it somewhat by chance behind the church, but it’s highly recommended. Top-class service, and both the food and the atmosphere are of the highest quality. I believe it’s one of the best in the entire area.

My insider tip for all friends of fresh and regional cuisine! The service was very friendly and the food was simply delicious. I love a Bavarian snack with a good wheat beer and next time I'll try all the other delicacies. The location is also so nicely located, right next to the village church in Munich-Riem. I had a bit of a country feeling straight away, even though I was in the city and could be reached quickly by S-Bahn. A good place if you're tired of the hustle and bustle of the city and want to dine in the comfort of friendly people! Highly recommended!

I was here a few years ago and found it expensive but adequate. When I recently visited the restaurant with friends, we were assigned a table (we had reserved) that was far too small for us. The restaurant wasn't full and another table would have been possible. We were given the menu and at the same time we were told what wasn't available - and there was a lot! Very disappointing. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was good too. It's a shame, but I won't be coming back anytime soon. I expect more from a restaurant that is in the upper league in terms of price.

The wait time is not worth the food. The service is good, the food correct, but we waited an hour and a half for the dishes to be served. The kitchen needs to improve.

The food tasted very good! At Christmas time I would have liked to have had a larger selection of Christmas main dishes. Otherwise everything was very good! Any time.

Rooms are not being made. Construction work and noise in the hotel until 7 p.m. until you complain. I will definitely not visit this hotel again.

Unfortunately I cannot confirm many of the reviews. I don't know if it was just a blip this weekend. On Saturday morning there were no more rolls, they weren't able to get any, bread was almost gone and in general I expect a little more for breakfast for an additional price of €22 than what was offered here. Even if everything is organic etc., the whole thing could look a little better and richer. But the staff at least took care of the matter and there were enough rolls available the next morning, praise for their response. The rooms are small, but okay for the price, the cleanliness, well what can I say if a flattened beetle from the previous one is stuck to the night console and it hasn't disappeared even after 2 days... Unfortunately, the toilet and shower are super small, you can hardly turn around. Service would have deserved more if it hadn't been for the beetle. It's not the staff, it's more the management.

Excellent food, very attentive and friendly service (our server was Daniel). My cheese spaetzle was very balanced and homemade and there was also a very pleasant, cozy atmosphere.

We were rather disappointed. We had reserved for 10 people and yet there was no more duck, which half of the table wanted to order and when almost everyone wanted to switch to the chicken, there was just enough chicken. The gnocci were the biggest outrage. A handful of gnocci with 2 pieces of broccoli and 3 mushrooms and a few crumbs of herder's cheese were not enough. I can also well imagine that there was a shortage here too and people tried to divide the few gnocchi into portions. Otherwise I can't explain the price of €20 given the location. So no one at our table left the inn full and we all got food elsewhere afterwards.

Waited a long time to order food and drink for 2 adults and 2 children, the drink should arrive after 5 minutes and the food 20. The drink came after the food was served and there were bones in the fish. For the price, one expects a better service. P.s there is only 1 child seat available.

Went to the Martinshof both as a hotel guest and in the restaurant for dinner. To the restaurant top Bavarian food delicious and very tasteful (portions could be a bit larger for the money) Beer delicious, service could be a little more prompt. Now to the hotel We really liked the hotel's style in the pictures. Unfortunately we were disappointed with our hotel room. We won't stay here for 1 or 2 nights. Bathroom is much too small for two adults. Noisy environment as we had to sleep with the window open because there was no air conditioning. Super delicious breakfast. Advantage of private underground parking space, as well as super close S-Bahn connection to get directly to Munich.

Absolutely perfect! The service is phenomenal. The staff are very friendly and patient with us as we took our time reading the menu and choosing what we wanted for the night. The restaurant is very clean, warm, inviting and has a nice Bavarian atmosphere. The menu is fantastic, with food that bursts with flavour. While the prices may be a bit high (at least for people travelling on a budget), it is definitely worth it. I tried the daily dish (listed and shown in the photographs provided) and it was one of the best dishes I’ve had during my current trip through Europe. They also serve some tasty desserts if you’re in need of more deliciousness. Overall, fantastic. Anyone who is staying in Munich should definitely visit and I guarantee you a good time.

The Martinshof impresses with its cozy and authentic ambience. The service, both at the reception and in the restaurant, was very friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast that was regional and sustainable. We recommend!

Unfriendliest service I've ever seen. As soon as we walked in, we were rudely told that we had taken the wrong “entrance”. Then you don't have 5 doors and none of them are labeled. Didn't even have the meal menu in hand and had already been asked to order food. Then the wrong food was brought 3 times “the chef accidentally made the wrong dish”

Were greeted unfriendly, the order was taken incorrectly and there was a very long waiting time. We were there around 9 p.m. and were told to hurry up because the kitchen was basically closing.

The food was made wrong and in the end it didn't taste good. Service was super unfriendly, as soon as you got inside you were told off that you had taken the wrong door. As soon as you sat at the table you were directly asked what you wanted to eat (mind you, you didn't even receive a card)

Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt! Das Essen und auch der Wein waren sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und zugewandt. Das Hotel sowie das Restaurant besuchen wir gerne wieder!

Wir hatten einen sehr netten Abend im Gasthaus Martinshof. Alle Servicemitarbeiter waren krankheitsbedingt ausgefallen, weshalb wir außerordentlich charmant von Küchenchef Tino Zimmermann bedient wurden. Durch den direkten Austausch, hatte man das Gefühl, als hätte den „Chef’s Table“ in der Küche gebucht. Handwerklich wurde sehr gut gekocht: eine sehr feine Waldpilz-Consommé, perfekt gebratene, rosa Entenbrust, und zum Abschluss ein leckerer und saftiger Mandelkuchen mit fein abgeschmeckten gerösteten Pflaumen.

The food is delicious, and the service is attentive. They meet all the requirements for a good restaurant. Most importantly, on a rainy Monday night in late autumn when the other restaurants were closed, we received warm hospitality here. Of course, a five-star praise is well-deserved.

Beef with mash was fantastic. Almond sponge was great also. My colleague had the meatball and it was amazing, I've never tasted one like it before. Would recommend for sure.

Super Restaurant, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Bodenständige Gerichte hochwertig zubereitet und Service auf dem Punkt - nicht aufdringlich, trotzdem aufmerksam. 5 Sterne nur deshalb nicht, weil das letzte Quäntchen Gourmet fehlt und weil es für eine 5 Sterne-Kritik einen Drink aufs Haus gegeben hätte. Kritiken sind aber nur so lange gut, wie sie nicht manipuliert werden. Deshalb traue ich keiner der 5 Sterne Rezensionen hier.
