You feel at home here; the landlady is very welcoming, and you can casually drink three to fifteen half-liters, which are served perfectly chilled and lovingly tapped. The food is also a highlight, and special requests not listed on the menu are easily accommodated. Seasonings from the German company WELA round out the flavors wonderfully. The rooms are clean and quiet, and the breakfast is a dream. You can even pay for your intoxication with a card from the very first beer onwards – something that's not a given and deserves a mention in this review. From the first moment to the last sip, you can feel that this inn has been a family business for generations, and the warmth of the innkeepers is evident in every aspect of their hospitality. Last but not least, there's a slot machine and snuff for guests upon request. All in all, a traditional inn, and there should be many more of them!

Großweierer Str. 96We go to the Hirsch regularly and are always extremely satisfied. The food is always fresh and arrives promptly, even when it's a bit busier. The service is friendly, and the beer garden is a wonderful place to sit. Absolutely recommended for anyone who appreciates good, home-style cooking!

Rosenstraße 2I was there for the first time on All Saints' Day at 5:30 PM. I left the restaurant again at 5:55 PM. The interior has improved dramatically. Much cozier than under the previous owner. The staff is very friendly, no complaints there. However, what is completely unacceptable is that when you're told to come at 5:30 PM when you make a reservation, you find yourself in a completely booked and overcrowded restaurant. There was a line of about 25 people at the buffet. It felt like being in a large cafeteria. Totally unpleasant. The food was, of course, okay for €18.90. You can't expect more for that price. Obviously. But I highly doubt anyone would want to go back into those crowds only to stand in line forever at the buffet to eat mediocre cafeteria food. Perhaps they shouldn't allow so many guests in the restaurant at once; then it would be more comfortable and not as chaotic as it was on All Saints' Day. Too bad, we were a bit disappointed and left the restaurant after 25 minutes.
