I would have liked to give it 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. The food was good, the service was the absolute worst! We waited over an hour, and everyone else who came after us and ordered the same thing was served first. They skimped on ingredients in the salad that were actually on the menu. Definitely not recommended!!!

Yes - 5 stars 🌟 in each category may seem fake or “bought” at first. BUT NO !!! Totally deserved; We ate pork fillet with spaetzle: Sensational!!! And a very generous portion - homemade spaetzle & meat 🥩 to the point; Service: With Josef & Jan you feel “right at home” (translator: right at home 😅) Beer: 🍺 Try it - then you'll taste the 5 stars 🌟 Put it together and enjoy it!!!

Very good food, friendly service

It couldn't be more traditional. Good, friendly service, great and quick, tasty food. Fine salad. In the beer garden you sit a little crooked, but very sunny, a little shady in the afternoon, close to the restaurant... I've been there a few times - never been disappointed! But good things have their price, not cheap!

Unfortunately, the visit to the Hasen inn was a total failure. We were there with several people and had to wait a long time before the order was taken, even though the restaurant was only moderately busy. Food was taken incorrectly, not served at the same time and then partly served cold (onion roast) After we complained, the waiter didn't even look at us. So dessert is also done. Never again!

We had reserved. There was hardly anything going on, but we were ignored for a long time. When the order was taken, a guest was forgotten. After a long wait the food came. A dish was recorded incorrectly, but could only be claimed later until someone came again. In general the food was just cold. The sauce from the onion roast was so thick and cold that it already had a skin on it. The spaetzle were definitely not homemade and the meat was not seared and was anything but medium. A disgrace for almost €30. The salad didn't taste like anything and was very dry. You can only eat the bruschetta if you don't want to have any teeth left afterwards, it was just rock hard and really tasteless. The palate was then really open and injured. The pizza was neither crispy nor warm, but had burnt remains on it. Out of 8 people, 8 were dissatisfied. Once and never again.

Food was terrible. It doesn't work at all! Onion roast was cold, English (medium), sauce had a skin on it, it was so cold, käßspatzen were cold and already stuck to the plate. Starter Bruscetta was rock hard, tasted okay. The service accepts the wrong food, after eating and reporting back to the kitchen you are no longer served very well and are rather ignored. Feedback is ignored. Once and never again.

What a really good meal! Decent portion, very good price-performance ratio, wonderfully drinkable house beer and very good service. What more do you need? Right, nothing. I've been there a few times and have never been disappointed. Spelled variants in pizza, spaetzle and burger buns go even further. Many thanks to the bunny team and keep it up!

Large portion, many vegetarian dishes. Offers reduced prices on selected dishes at lunchtime. Dogs and child friendly. Nice beer garden in summer Service is quick and careful.

If you value Allgäu ambiance and frozen food, this is the place for you. I suspect the restaurant thrives on the reputation of its former owners and its location.

We finally managed to be there during opening hours. The view is simply GIGANTIC. The journey is also quite fascinating. When the weather is perfect, the great thing is coffee and delicious apple pie with the view.

We're here every two months and love this quaint inn! The concept goes well with the many spelled flour products because we are gluten intolerant and our son has neurotermitis and cannot tolerate wheat. The food tastes very good and the beer is very tasty, I think they make it themselves. The beer liqueur is recommended and addictive! Always my pleasure!!!

Great food very friendly staff. A rustic restaurant where you can get almost everything from burgers to pizza to Allgäu specialties. The home-brewed beer is also very good and the iced tea is also excellent. Conclusion: Always worth a visit. The prices have increased a bit since our last visit, which is now the case almost everywhere in Germany.

Very tasty food, very nice, would love to come back

We went out to eat with family and were served very nicely. The food was very good and the portions were really big. Even the dog was brought water without asking and given a crawl session. Can recommend well. If we go on vacation here again, we'll be happy to come back.

Christmas Day total chaos... We went there for lunch with the whole family and kids… or was that the plan… after our meal after 2!! We hadn't been there for hours, so we left the restaurant hungry at 3 p.m. Even the fries for the children couldn't be brought to us after at least an hour when we asked. Not to mention that the staff themselves offered us some gesture to shorten the waiting time (salad, drink, ...). I understand a certain wait at Christmas, but not that long. Our mood and that of the small children were at their lowest point. So definitely not recommended on public holidays.

Waiting over 2:30 hours for food is unacceptable, even on Christmas. And apart from a regretful comment from the staff (“chaos in the kitchen”, when asked: no, staff were not absent) we heard nothing, let alone received an apology (e.g. a coffee or a glass of schnapps).

2 hours and 45 minutes waiting time Today we went to the Hasen for our traditional Christmas dinner with the extended family (approx. 20 people), like we did many years before. After waiting for over an hour in the completely overcrowded and extremely loud room, the waitress informed us that there was "chaos in the kitchen" and that she couldn't take any orders at the moment. At our request, at least the small children got something to eat after about 1 hour and 30 minutes (i.e. around half past two). The first adults finally got their orders after a 2h15min wait, the last ones after 2 hours and 45 minutes, i.e. at a quarter past four (yes, lunch...). Some of the side dishes were ice cold, the overall quality was very mixed and disproportionate to the price. One of the waitresses apologized in monosyllables for the wait as she left. But she wasn't to blame. The innkeeper himself didn't show up the entire time. We didn't get a cent discount, no free drinks (even though we were there twice as long as usual and therefore made more sales - but we also had to wait forever for drinks), not even a schnapps or any attempt at compensation. None of us have ever experienced anything like this. For the children (the smallest 4 years old) it was a real disgrace to spend the afternoon in the overbooked room while it would have been wonderful weather outside. Our plans for the afternoon were ruined and appointments fell through. Conclusion: An absolute failure and a real disgrace for the “tavern tradition since 1367”. For us, some of whom have been regular and long-standing guests, this was the last visit to the Hasen - at least until a completely different wind blows there again, where the focus is on the well-being of the guest and not on maximizing profits.

Unfortunately a total Christmas failure :( Have reserved a table on Christmas Day at 1:00 p.m. Were there with 6 adults and 4 children. We left the restaurant at 3:00 p.m. because the food we had ordered was still not in sight after 2 hours... when we asked after 1 hour whether the children could at least get their fries, the answer was a clear "No." “, as it is only processed table by table… So we sat with the children for 2 hours just drinking drinks until we got tired of it. It's sad that you really don't get anything offered (not even the children) and we understand that you sometimes have to wait longer at Christmas - but with all the love, no 2! Hours and no end in sight!! Our neighboring table left the restaurant with us without food :( Sorry, but that's not possible!!

Nice local and traditional restaurant with good home cooking. Attentive service, prices are reasonable. When something was left on the plate, the service was clearly interested in the reasons.

We were very disappointed with the food. Burger mediocre. Wienerschnitzel of veal was inedible because the breading was too greasy and overall it didn't taste good at all. The venison goulash was also served with fatty pieces and the red cabbage was from a can (see color and cut). A disappointing lunch. In this form, I do not recommend this inn. We passed this criticism on to the service staff specifically because of the schnitzel. I hope the chef makes an effort next time or they take this menu off the menu.

5 stars – Our new favorite restaurant in Waltenhofen! We recently discovered Zum Hasen in Waltenhofen and it will definitely be our new regular restaurant! The staff are extremely attentive, friendly and make you feel welcome straight away. Despite the large menu, the focus here is on freshness and quality - and it shows! We were there with 10 people and tried everything from the menu: pizza, burgers, salads and regional classics. Everything was excellent: freshly prepared, tasted great and arrived at the table incredibly quickly. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is convincing across the board - we were so impressed that we made a reservation for Easter. If you are looking for a restaurant in Waltenhofen with great service, fresh cuisine and a diverse selection, Zum Hasen is the right place for you! Absolute recommendation!

Very disappointed on my last visit to the restaurant. The food was good, but an additional €1.50 was charged for the cranberries with the schnitzel and the ketchup, which was previously in a bottle at the table, is now brought in a small bowl and charged extra. This is a great way to scare away customers because this is a rip-off. I won't visit the restaurant again.

I had the pork neck steak with pepper sauce and spaetzle and ordered a side salad with it. The food was very tasty and filling. Since back steak was served instead of neck steak and there was also a side dish mix-up for my son (mixed salad instead of potato salad), I deducted one star. The others were also impressed by the food.
