Gasthaus Eichelburg in Roth

The food is, as some of the reviews have stated, only mediocre. I wouldn't give it more than 2.5 stars. Nothing special. Not good enough for the price. The roast pork, both the sauce and the roast, were barely flavorful; it tasted of nothing, unfortunately bland. The cordon bleu was okay, nothing more, nothing less, but not good enough for just under €17. The price/performance ratio isn't right. The beer garden has a lovely view.

The food here is really very good. I had a Cordon Bleu, which was very tasty and the breading was nice and crispy. The others had a Schäufale, which was really good. And the classic currywurst was also good. The prices are more than fair... The service was all very friendly and quick. A definite compliment for that. The beer garden is located on a meadow and is quiet in itself. I'm deducting one star because the road is right there, and you have to cross it to get to the restaurant itself. However, it should also be noted that there is very little traffic there. All in all, the beer garden and restaurant are highly recommended. I will definitely go here again.

Very good Franconian cuisine at fair prices. When the weather is nice, you can sit in the beer garden. Very friendly service. We had shoulder of pork with dumplings, fresh bratwurst with sauerkraut and potato salad, and shashlik with fries, and everything was delicious.

Top-notch cleanliness and friendliness! Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good, but it was quite expensive! The Cordon Bleu was unfortunately not tender and definitely from a deep fryer. The shoulder of pork was still too firm on the bone, the crust was flabby, and the sauce was from a packet. Also, the seasoning was lacking. The dumplings were much too dense, and everything was unfortunately cold. There was a nice long hair in the salad, which can happen, but shouldn't be!

The three of us ate in the beer garden on a warm Saturday. The service and drinks were very good, but unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the food: The sausages were strangely dry, with only a few thin skins remaining. The potato salad was quite tasteless. The roast pork gravy and dumplings weren't convincing. The herring was also not very tasty. The strong smell of urine wafting over from the bushes or the hut on the east side of the beer garden was particularly disturbing. We might come back for coffee, but probably not for dinner, or if there was an east wind.

Nice beer garden, with lots of space, delicious food and homemade cakes.

In our opinion, the quality of the dishes has deteriorated significantly! We used to enjoy going there often, but have now changed our orientation, also because when we made a complaint there was only a brief shrug of guilt from the landlord. Unfortunately, he wasn't at all interested in what his guests didn't like! What a shame!

Price/performance completely ok. Nice staff who deal with a group of 50 people and around 50 additional guests inside and in the beautiful beer garden in a friendly, confident and quick manner. Likewise, the waiting times for food were “short” to “appropriate for the food”. In my opinion, absolutely recommended. Only the dining room is a little old-fashioned.

Food was good at reasonable prices, also vegetarian and vegan. Great and friendly service that managed to accommodate a huge group.

Wir sind mit dem Rad unterwegs gewesen. Super nette Kellnerin und das Essen war Tip Top. Schöner grosser Biergarten. Nächsten mal gern wieder.

Wunderschön gelegener Biergarten mit schattenspendenden Bäumen, sehr aufmerksame und nette Bedienung. Leckere fränkische Gerichte und Kuchen. Sehr gut geeignet als Kaffeestopp auf einer Rennradtour.

Ich bin sehr begeistert. Es ist ein Fest hier zu sein.

Bestes Cordon bleu ever - wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Da spürt man die Liebe zum Produkt und auch, dass es ein Familienbetrieb ist. Kartoffelsalat frisch!!! Wer macht das denn noch :) - genau deshalb sehr gerne zu empfehlen :)
