Gasthaus am Sonnenufer in Neuruppin

We ate there yesterday. The staff was friendly and the food was good, but I've always been taught that tables aren't cleared if everyone hasn't finished eating. This puts pressure on slower eaters. Furthermore, the restrooms need improvement. How is a wheelchair user supposed to use the restroom when there are so many stairs? Our society is aging and becoming more frail.

Something isn't quite right here, despite a lot being right. Great bread and olives, kind service, good cookery in general. There's a few hiccups. Old, torn hand written signs on the toilet doors. No toilet paper in the ladies. Clumsy, ugly ways to keep a door open. A salty schnitzel sauce. Overcooked salmon. No meal check in an empty restaurant. But the pizza dough had some stretch, which is rare enough (could have used more sugo). The recooked schnitzel was really good, as was the potato mash. I'd return quite happily.

We went to the Italian restaurant Gasthaus Neuruppin with friends yesterday, and it was simply wonderful! 🤍 The host was very nice and friendly, and the food was absolutely perfect – fresh, delicious, and lovingly prepared. At the end, the host even surprised us with a delicious dessert. 🍰✨ A truly lovely evening – we'd love to come back!

As always, it was really nice, cozy, and delicious! And at the end, a fantastic surprise, hmmm!

I ate here with friends and was very disappointed with the service and the quality of the pizza I ordered. When I politely asked the waiter for a sharper knife, he said it wasn't the knife's fault, but my handling of the pizza! "To cut pizza, you have to be rough with it!" He then took my cutlery from my hands and started cutting my pizza from the center! He cut and cut and only stopped after he had cut three triangles. "See, that's how it's done!" I found his behavior inappropriate, rude, and insulting. And embarrassing me in front of my friends is not acceptable. He could have been much more professional and simply given me a different, sharper knife. Up until that moment, I was happy and calm. If he had said or done anything else, I would have gotten up and left. His behavior is unacceptable. After that, we were only served by a nice, younger colleague. I love pizza and know when it's poorly prepared. The pizza I ordered was a disaster... it tasted bland, lacked seasoning, and was no better than a cheap frozen pizza from the supermarket. But to avoid causing a scene, I ate as much as I could. Luckily, my guests' other dishes were fine. But because of the episode with the blunt knives... I don't think I'll come back here with friends. PS: It's easy to claim you're lying. Just be mature enough and apologize for your or your staff's misconduct. That would put you in a better light than claiming that everyone who has experienced something negative with you is a liar. What did we learn in school... you should treat your guests and older people with respect!

One drink (a bottle of Coke) was slightly past its best-before date. We praised the (really very good) food and pointed this (actually minor) detail out to the waiter. Until then, everything would have been worth 4-5 points. But instead of an apology, we first got excuses ("...it's the supplier's fault," later: "...it was just that one bottle..."). After we pointed out that he was still responsible, he became vulgar ("...can't check every damn bottle..."), and then - we were thrown out. What a shame. P.S. Yes, as a restaurateur, you and only you are responsible for the freshness of your items. And: a small apology can sometimes work wonders...

We were there for a quick stopover and received a warm welcome. The appetizers were plentiful and delicious. Definitely recommended.

I ate here for the first time today. I actually wanted to order pasta, but then decided on a burger, and it was definitely the best decision! It was by far one of the best burgers I've ever had. The 76-kilometer drive was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was also very pleasant and quiet, which I especially liked. The service was also excellent!

The food was absolutely delicious. We went there with a group of six women, all of whom had made reservations in advance. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather and the view of the water (somewhat obscured by bushes and trees). The food was consistently delicious. We ordered tiagliatelle, pizza, burgers, and salad, and everyone was extremely satisfied. I have to deduct two points for using the restroom. It smelled bad, was a bit out of the way (as a woman, you feel a bit unsafe), and the soap wasn't refilled. And the choice of parking spaces was quite difficult. We had to drive around a residential area a few times. At least we didn't notice any suitable guest parking spaces. Otherwise, everyone was nice and attentive, and we would eat there again.

The food was very tasty. There were no foreigners there, so it was a chilled atmosphere and a very nice setting. However, one star deducted because the food would have been absolutely perfect if the fries had less salt. All in all, a very nice visit.

Whenever we're in Neuruppin, whether by boat or car, the Gasthaus Am Sonnenufer is a must. The food, service, and ambiance are second to none. We came here a second time because we really enjoyed our first dinner and were unfortunately a bit disappointed. The service left a lot to be desired, unfortunately the nice, very young waiter wasn't there and the waiters present were very inattentive (no oil, etc. was served, no question was asked if we would like anything else, no wine was poured...), and the food wasn't quite as perfectly prepared and therefore didn't taste quite as good as we got to know it (the creamy balsamic vinegar + honey was missing on the bacon-wrapped goat cheese)... We'll see when we go to your restaurant again and then hopefully be able to convince us of the usual service and your very good cuisine

It was great here. We were invited .

We went to the restaurant for dinner and chose two shandy drinks. These were pleasantly mixed and tasted convincing. For the main courses we chose the grilled fjord salmon with vegetables and the Wiener schnitzel with steakhouse fries. The salmon was okay, as were the vegetables served with it. However, the portion was rather small, even for my companion. The Viennese schnitzel was average in quality and preparation, while the fries were positive - well prepared and tasty. Overall, the restaurant left a solid but not outstanding impression. Given the prices, we believe that a better culinary standard can be experienced elsewhere in Neuruppin. What is particularly unfortunate is that, in our opinion, the quality of the food has noticeably deteriorated compared to a previous visit. Another aspect to consider: There was a clear presence of mosquitoes while eating on the terrace. Even if this is outside the hotel's control, a corresponding notice or simple protective measures such as mosquito spray or candles would have been desirable.

Was invited here for a birthday 🎂. And I quickly discovered that due to the restaurant's great location, there are almost no parking spaces here. The restaurant is located right on the water in the middle of a residential area. Parking nearby is only possible if you are lucky. Despite this, the first impression of the service was very good because after admiring the owner's Audi, I was promptly offered the key for a test drive 😅. The restaurant is slightly elevated so you have a nice view of the water. The ambience of the restaurant is modern and very well presented. In summer there are also opportunities to sit outside in the green and enjoy the view even better. Unfortunately I have to say the food simply lacked taste, the wow effect simply fell by the wayside for me. Love pork medallions with pepper sauce and compared to other restaurants there is simply no spice here. It's a shame, considering that everything else was good in terms of service and ambience, the kitchen really needs to be improved a lot.

We had excellent food at the Gasthast am Sonnenufer! Absolute insider tip, idyllically located on Lake Ruppiner with very nice hosts.

The fact that the tables are so close together is a bit unpleasant. But the food and service were good so far. It's a shame that no terrace is open yet given the weather of the last few days.

We ate there for the first time today and it tasted great... and at a moderate price too... We can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience... Simply top... 👍

Very friendly staff, fast and attentive. The food is also delicious, though a few more vegetarian dishes would be nice. You have a wonderful view of the lake... unfortunately, it's a bit on the outskirts of Neuruppin, so you have to drive there specifically.

Super tasty pizza eaten in a very nice atmosphere. We were there for lunch and were the only guests at the time, which didn't bother us, we were just surprised because the food was really good.

After a nice walk along the shore, we stopped into this nice restaurant and ate one of the best pizzas 🍕 ever. The staff was also very friendly!

The food (Wiener Schnitzel and Scampi Pizza) was really excellent. The desserts (tiramisu and crème brûlée) were also top notch. Only the service was mediocre. Nobody was unfriendly, but neither was they particularly warm or attentive. But we would definitely come back.

We celebrated our wedding there and were completely satisfied. Everyone put in a lot of effort and every wish was fulfilled. It was a wonderful day we spent there. The food is great. Each of our guests raved about the food and also about the beautiful lake view we had there. Price-performance ratio is also great. We were here as a family as a stopover on a bike tour. Really very classy and delicious. Clear recommendation. In the evening you definitely have to make a reservation.

Ate spaghetti outside in the nicest weather, tomato soup and tiramisu, highly recommended.

Nicely located by the lake and the outside benches looked very inviting to enjoy a drink and the weather. Unfortunately, no one took any care of us and preferred to constantly chat with guests who seemed to visit more often. We would have liked to order a second drink and enjoy the weather, but it was just too stupid for us. When we were about to put the money on the table to finally leave, the waiter came and kept the remaining money without asking. I like to give a tip, but it wasn't deserved. I can't say anything about the food, but I'll never try it.

Seeeehr gut....das Essen hervorragend, schönes Ambiente,nettes Personal....es gibt nichts zu meckern..... Wartezeit ja,aber es ist alles frisch

Uns begrüßten äußerst freundliche Gastgeber. Wir fühlen uns sehr wohl. Auch ein Kinderstuhl wurde sofort bereitgestellt. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und mit einer tollen Aussicht.Nur mit dem Essen hatte ich leider nicht so viel Glück an diesem Tag. Ich bestellte Kalbsmedaillons mit Gorgonzola, Kartoffelpüree und Möhren sowie Brokkoli und einem kleinem Salat. Das Püree, die Gorgonzolasauce waren sehr lecker, das Gemüse leider fad und lauwarm, der Salat für fünf Euro etwas mau. Der Hauptbestandteil für mich, die Kalbsmedaillons waren eine Vollkatastrophe. 5mm dünne Scheiben vom Kalbsrücken die so unglaublich zäh waren das ich das Gefühl bekam an meinem freien Tag doch zu arbeiten, und zwar beim kauen des "Steaks". Ich denke das lag teilweise an der Qualität aber auch an das völlige Übergaren. Schade, aber kann passieren.

Sehr leckeres Essen, absolut frisch zubereitet und heiß aus der Pfanne, sauberes Restaurant und sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen! Für einen Abstecher von der Autobahn eine willkommene Pause in ruhiger Lage am See!

Wir hatten beide die Leber bestellt, diese war jedoch sehr salzig. Waren dementsprechend nicht so glücklich darüber. Wir haben uns draußen hingesetzt, es war schon dunkel gewesen und haben dann Kerzen hingestellt bekommen... mehr Licht gab es dann nicht, auch wenn Lichterketten unter den Schirmen vorhanden waren. Die Schirme waren zusätzlich von sehr vielen Spinnen besiedelt, was natürlich verständlich ist am Wasser, jedoch für das Ambiente eher weniger vom Vorteil ist. Die Bedienung war trotz allem ziemlich nett, jedoch kann Ich nicht mehr als 3 Sterne geben :/ schade

Ich war jetzt ein paar Mal im Gasthaus am Sonnenufer und wurde bisher nie enttäuscht. Das Essen schmeckte jedes Mal ausgezeichnet, das Service-Personal ist durchweg freundlich und zuvorkommend und die Einrichtung modern und neu. Vor allem die Fleischgerichte haben mich bisher überzeugt. Beim nächsten Mal teste ich die Pizza. Überfüllt habe ich das Restaurant bisher auch nicht erlebt, was an der etwas abgeschiedenen Lage liegen könnte. Wer es also eher ruhig mag, ist hier genau richtig, so scheint es. Ich komme auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Trotz großer Hitze gestern super freundliche Bedienung / toller Service und lecker frisches Essen! Der kleine Abstecher auf dem Weg von der Ostsee nach Berlin hat sich 100 % gelohnt ! Wir kommen wieder!

Wir hatten hier einen mega schönen Abschluss eines tollen Sommertages. Das Essen war unglaublich lecker und besonders der individuelle Nachtisch :-) Der Service ist ausgesprochen freundlich und wir sind sicher wieder mal zu Gast... Sehr zu empfehlen:-)

Das Restaurant,das Ambiente und die Lage sind sehr schön. Auch das Essen war gut. Was uns sehr geärgert hat, war der Service. Das Servicepersonal hatte mehr mit dem eigenen Handy zu tun, als sich um die Gäste zu kümmern. Wir mussten uns die Bestellannahme jedes Mal einfordern, das gesamte Geschirr blieb bis zum Schluß stehen und wurde erst abgeräumt, als das Personal Feierabend machen wollte. Das war gegen 21.30 Uhr, obwohl bis 23.00 Uhr geöffnet sein sollte. Wir wurden vorher weder informiert, noch befragt ,ob wir noch einen Wunsch haben. Auf Befragen, erhielten wir die Antwort, das die Bar jetzt geschlossen wird.Als abschließende Krönung musste jeder einzeln an den Tresen gehen um dort zu zahlen. Es ist sehr schade, dass so schönes Lokal solch einen schlechten Service bietet und hoffen, dass das Personal nach unserer Rezension aufwacht und die künftigen Gäste respektvoller und angemessener bedient werden.

Das Essen schmeckt, die Aussicht im Restaurant toll ABER: Der junge Kellner unerfahren, nicht aufmerksam! Wir bestellten 1 Flasche Weißwein, ich sagte sie fragen nicht nach der Sorte.....er: " das müssen Sie doch sagen " okay? Dann brachte er 2 Gläser...Nein, wir bestellten 1 Flasche. Im Endeffekt stand auf der Rechnung 1 Flasche und 2 Gläser, obwohl diese zurückgeben wurden. Einfach nur traurig!

Sitze hier ...und schaue auf den See... Das Essen mundet hervorragend und der Service ist sehr liebenswürdig. Ich fühle mich so richtig wohlig hier. Vielen Dank

Eine angenehme Mischung aus schick und relaxed. Im Thekenraum hätten wir nicht gern gegessen, aber wir konnten uns den Platz aussuchen und so hatten wir einen Blick auf den See. Der Service war gut. Das Essen auch. Wir hatten Kalbsleber bzw. Kalbsmedallions. Leider waren die Bratkartoffeln kaum gebraten und kamen mit zu viel Öl vom Braten auf den Teller (sonst wäre das Essen wohl ‚sehr gut‘ gewesen). Wir haben nicht reklamiert, daher gab es auch keine Chance zum Nachbessern. Aber wir kommen wieder und freuen uns darauf.

Hamburger Schnitzel auf Raststättenniveau. Geschmacklich ok. Der Rest naja... siehe Foto. Service war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Das Restaurant mit anliegenden Hafen und kleiner Pension liegt in einer Einfamilienhaussiedlung. Wer den herrlichen Ausblick auf den See ungehindert genießen möchte, sollte seinen Fensterplatz vorab reservieren. Wir wurden herzlich im Restaurant begrüßt - zu finden ist hier eine deutsch/italienische Küche. Die Vorspeisenplatte ist wirklich sehr zu empfehlen und hat uns sehr gut abgeholt, auch unsere Extrawünsche wurden hierbei berücksichtigt. Anschließend kam die Hauptspeise, hierbei können Sie u.a. aus verschiedenen Kalbsvariationen (vom Medaillion bis zum Schnitzel) wählen oder sich von der Fischkarte etwas aussuchen - geschmacklich sollte hier jeder etwas finden. Preislich liegen Sie bei ca. 15-25€ pro Hauptspeise. Die sehr großen Hauptspeisen konnten dann aber leider nicht das Niveau der Vorspeise halten, das soll nicht heißen das diese nicht geschmeckt haben! Sondern es fehlte "der letzte kleine Pfiff", "das I-Tüpfelchen" um die ganze Sache abzurunden. Alles in allem finden Sie hier ein sehr schönes, sauberes und leckeres Restaurant mit toller Aussicht auf den See, wo Sie vom Service freundlich bedient werden. Einen Restaurantbesuch hier, ist kein Fehler :)

Für mich das beste Restaurant in Neuruppin! Super Service: sehr netter Chef, freundliche und kompetente Bedienung. Der Fijordlachs war phantastisch zubereitet. Die Kalbsschnitzel ( nur 19,50€) extrem gut gemacht und die Kalbsmedaillons (sehr gutes Fleisch) mit Pfeffersosse und Bratkartoffeln ebenso. Es stimmte wirklich Alles: Service, Qualität, Quantität und sehr faire Preise. Das Angebot der offenen Weine exzellent. 2 perfekte Abende in sehr schönem und gepflegtem (Weiße Tischdecken, Stoffservietten, Kerze) Restaurant. Das Ganze ruhig direkt am See gelegen. Fazit: Sehr empfehlenswert!
