As always, it was wonderful. The quality of the food, the staff, and the very pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant deserve high praise. I'd gladly come again.

Perfect atmosphere, delicious menu.

We were a group of ten for dinner there. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal, and everything was served promptly. The meat was cooked to perfection, and the duck was excellent. Dessert is also highly recommended. The staff assigned to our table provided impeccable service; they were attentive and friendly. We liked the atmosphere; we were seated on the lower level. There were other groups there as well. The noise level was acceptable, and conversation was easily possible. We would gladly return if possible.

Not cheap, but very good! Very friendly and fast service. Wine can also be ordered in 0.25l bottles. The dishes leave nothing to be desired. The ambiance is a matter of taste. Highly recommended.

I had probably the worst mulled wine of my life. The children's punch was even worse; it was just pure sugar and tasted like Tri Top with too little water, just hot. The temperature was fine. I'm only commenting on the mulled wine sold at street stalls, but it was truly awful 🙈

Absolutely locely place. Authentic, fine Frankonian, yet down to earth kitchen. The Schäufele was an absolute delight. The Silvaner of the hpuse acvompanied it, dusty dry completly frmented thtough, clesn and straight fresh, and long! Lovely! Great pumpkin soup! I loved it, anytime again. The service was wonderful.

The food was tasty, although the service was occasionally a bit slow or forgot orders. However, the most unpleasant aspect was the extremely cold temperature in the restaurant, and even after repeated assurances from the staff, there was no improvement in sight.

We had schnitzel with potato salad and salad with fried potatoes. The schnitzels were quite thin, and the breading came off the meat when we cut into them. The potato salad had a tingling/prickling sensation on the tongue. In my opinion, it had gone bad and was already fermenting. The waitress said there was probably just too much vinegar in it… The salad was okay, but nothing special. The fried potatoes were a bit too greasy and were more lightly deep-fried than fried, both visually and in terms of texture. Because of the location, the prices are correspondingly high, which is perfectly fine, but unfortunately, we won't be coming back since we weren't satisfied at all. However, the waitresses were very friendly.

The behavior of one of the managers was so rude that it completely ruined our appetites. At the next table, a nice couple wanted to join another couple already seated, explicitly at their request, when the supposed manager rushed over and reprimanded the woman in an extremely aggressive manner. He declared that one was not allowed to join other guests. This behavior was completely unprofessional and greatly upset not only those directly affected, but also us and other guests nearby. I hope something like this doesn't happen again. A desirable location alone doesn't justify such behavior; otherwise, we will seriously reconsider whether we will ever visit this restaurant again.

They have a perfect hospitality service. Everyone was very patient with us. One of us couldn't eat gluten, and that was no problem for the water or the staf in general.

It's a place with a lovely atmosphere. You can buy your wine and drink it on the bridge or inside. It's a very clean and high-quality place. We tried the local Dunkel beer, which was delicious and the glasses were fantastic.

A shard of glass (larger than 1 cm²) in the food (tartare) is unacceptable. Therefore, no further evaluation of the otherwise perfectly acceptable product.

We were offered a round of wine to enjoy outside just before closing time. That was very kind, and we enjoyed the wine on the bridge with a view of the castle.

Not exactly cheap (pork shoulder with dumplings and sauerkraut €26.80), but the quality is absolutely worth it! It was the best meal I've had in a long time. I can recommend the Kellerbier (cellar beer), and the crème brûlée was heavenly. The server was also incredibly friendly and even crawled under the bench to plug in my phone's charger because it was dead, and later again to get it back out (I can't really do it myself due to a disability, but it didn't matter; she didn't even ask and helped me right away). So, a great place, highly recommended if the prices don't put you off.

Was ideal for a champagne reception after a registry office wedding.

A good bratwurst plate for €15.90. The Brückenschoppen (bridge beer) for €6.90 was very tasty and went well with the meal. We got a table right away, and the service was very friendly. We sat inside and therefore didn't have a view, but you can also get a glass of wine to take away and enjoy on the bridge.

We always enjoy coming back to Würzburg, and a visit to the mill is a MUST. Very cozy, great food, friendly service, and excellent wines!

Wow, it was really, really nice, incredibly delicious, and very entertaining. Starting with a pumpkin cream soup with delicious, soft bread, continuing with the Wiener Schnitzel and finishing with the pumpkin cheesecake, everything was consistently delicious and beautifully presented. Many thanks to the very friendly staff, with whom we also had a great laugh. Thank you for the lovely Friday afternoon!

There's a deposit on the wine glasses. The atmosphere is great, and the wine is on the dry side, but worth a try!

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical before our visit. For a restaurant right on the old Main Bridge, with a glass of wine outside on the bridge (which I consider a very good establishment) and a very nice view, I wasn't sure how much emphasis was placed on good food and good service. These concerns were quickly dispelled during our dinner visit. We sat inside (so we weren't there for the view) and felt very comfortable. The service was very good (very professional and very friendly), and the food was very good. We received good advice on the perfect wine. We loved the venison saddle, as well as the pumpkin cheesecake. It was an all-round lovely evening. Highly recommended!

The food was excellent, but the waitress, Mr. Samir, was fantastic. Very friendly, very funny, and had good suggestions, which made it a wonderful evening. We'd love to come back.

The food was fantastic and the view was beautiful. During the meal the waitress was attentive, pleasant and interested in us. We moved to the indoor restaurant because of the wasps, after the meal we felt no interest from the staff. We wanted to order coffee and desserts, but we waited up to 40 minutes for the desserts, while it seemed that they were not even ready yet. In the end we had to cancel them and pay for them, without any compensation offered. I am sorry that in such a nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere and higher prices the staff seemed inattentive. We would have liked to have more drinks, but instead we sat at an empty table and waited. We visit the restaurant more often, but this time it was unfortunately the worst attitude we have experienced. Similarly, half a year ago, when we were a larger group of 13 people - we ordered bottles of wine, but there was no one to refill our glasses.

A perfect place for food and drinks. The service is exceptionally excellent. The food was incredibly delicious. In addition to the savory dishes, the sorbet is particularly recommended 🥰, as is the super friendly and attentive service.

I wanted to sit by the bridge as I wanted to get a seat with the view. I would like to document it. My kids didn’t want to be outside so they were sitting inside- I asked for a separate bill - but they didn’t accommodate - and they wanted me to sit with my family as they said some people might want my seat. In the end, we walked out. I wonder if I’m by myself just as I requested.. would they ask me to move? I guess not. The place was quite empty - but because I came in with my kids- they needed me to just sit with my family. Food - not sure if it’s good coz we left

Gasthaus Alte Mainmühle – Würzburg I had the pleasure of enjoying the late summer menu – a true highlight in terms of flavor! Each course was finely balanced and of high quality, making the meal a complete culinary experience. The only minor drawback was the timing: the first break between courses dragged on forever, while dessert followed almost seamlessly. A little more consistency would have enhanced the experience even further. The location itself is fantastic: perfectly situated on the Main River, overlooking the old Main Bridge and – if you're lucky with the weather – a breathtaking view up to the fortress from the terrace. It's no surprise that this location is reflected in the price – but you get very good food in a special atmosphere. The service was very friendly and visibly attentive, which pleasantly compensated for the minor inconsistencies in the menu. All in all: a worthwhile visit, especially on the terrace in the sunshine – a place where food, view, and atmosphere come together to create a special experience.

We ordered three Schäufele and the meal was a disaster, or rather the best was the Wirsching. I would not have expected that given the price range or from this restaurant, we paid 107€.

We were at the Mane Mühle last Saturday evening. We wanted to swap seats because it was very cold on the balcony. Unfortunately, the manager told us this wasn't possible because everything was reserved. However, this wasn't the case, and during our entire stay, three tables remained empty, which we would have gladly moved to. So, the employee responsible for reserving and assigning tables was out of place and has no business being in that position. Everything else: top-notch!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. The service was terrible. The DINNING ROOM MANAGER who greets customers at the door seated us at an interior table with no view. Since there was a free table overlooking the river, I asked THIS PERSON to change us, but HE said it was impossible since that table was for more people, so we remained seated at the same table. At the table next to us, a couple who arrived much later than we had sat down. To our surprise, they asked to change their table and were moved without any problem. It was outrageous. I stood up and politely expressed my dissatisfaction to THIS PERSON, but HE simply ignored me. Later, we noticed that when another waiter asked him about what had happened, THIS PERSON gesticulated and made contemptuous gestures toward us. Honestly, we would have left if we hadn't already ordered our food and our politeness prevented us from doing so. It is incredible... We have travelled to lots of countries and we have never received this unpleasant and contemptuous treatment, and especially from a waiter, given that you are the one paying for the service. You don't go to a restaurant to suffer this lack of respect. It says very little about this place. To top it all off, the food was mediocre and very expensive, so the service was terrible and the relationship quality/ prize was very bad. Not at all recommended.... 0

We were there on a Friday evening. The location was fantastic, right by the bridge. Our service was also excellent, very friendly, and joined in the fun. And the food was even more amazing. For a special occasion, we ordered the summer menu each. It was very tasty and creative. It was great value for money. We'll be back next time.

Stick to the wine! Get a glass of wine from the window and enjoy the views from the bridge. We tried three appetizers that sounded great but fell flat. First, the camembert cheese was actually a pimento cheese. The ice cream with char sounded very intriguing but overall, the dish lacked flavor. It could only be described as bland. The burrata with peach and mint pesto, the wine, and the view saved the meal. But for the 85 € tab, even taking into account the elevated prices due to location/view, we say skip the restaurant and enjoy an excellent glass of wine on the bridge.

A very nice restaurant with a fantastic view of Marienberg Fortress from the terrace. The food is fresh and delicious. Whether fish, meat, or vegetarian, everyone was very satisfied. The service was very friendly despite the large number of guests.

Highly recommended. We just enjoyed the well-chilled wines and the great views and atmosphere, like almost everyone else.

The evening began with excellent wines on the bridge. Even without a reservation, we were seated on the balcony overlooking the water and the bridge. We've rarely eaten food of such high quality. Even seemingly simple dishes were beautifully presented and wonderfully prepared. The high prices are absolutely justified. Don't let the crowds of tourists put you off!

Watch out!!! Don't order on a stool inside near the entrance if you plan to have a drink outside, because you'll pay an extra €9 for two drinks. If you tell them you don't want this and you want to consume your drinks outside, you're out of luck. No refund, no matter what you say. Not customer-friendly, and it's our last time.

Dinner in perfect weather and a great atmosphere. The food was delicious, but unfortunately, the service was abysmal. After dinner, the waitress came over without asking with four glasses of schnapps and told us they were on the house. Unfortunately, he was subsequently charged for three glasses, and he told us he meant only his schnapps was not charged. We weren't reimbursed for these either, but we were fobbed off with an undrinkable soft drink. I won't go there again...

Wonderfully fresh, I especially liked the vegetables. I don't mean to diminish the fish, though. The service here doesn't have an easy time with some of the guests. That's probably the 1-star reviews, definitely not the fault of the restaurant and/or the service. Keep it up and don't let it get to you – keep it up.

The view of the river and the bridge is truly beautiful. Unfortunately, the service is completely off-key. He hangs his butt on our plates at the waitress next door and is so rude, it's a real bummer...

Paying €150 for three schnitzels, a beer, and a glass of wine was truly shocking—especially when the tables were so close together. I wasn't satisfied at all.

The food was good, but I had to add more seasoning to the goulash. I'd never tried that before. The service, though, was excellent! The atmosphere, right on the Main, was fantastic. The delicious beer drove the price up a bit...^^

We came as a family to relax, but unfortunately, despite the good food, we experienced terrible service and rude treatment from the waiter, even though we were friendly to him from the start. I think this kind of service shouldn't be expected in a restaurant like this. We are very disappointed, and our mood has unfortunately been spoiled.

This was a fantastic place to have dinner while staying in Würzburg. We sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed watching the river pass by and the people walking across the bridge. The food was excellent and I was very happy to have the salad with burrata cheese on it!

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at the Mainmühle today. Since we need an accessible restaurant due to a wheelchair, we made a reservation shortly in advance. They assured us over the phone that everything, including the restrooms, was wheelchair accessible. We immediately received a text message with confirmation. When we arrived, the staff initially ignored us until they told us the elevator was broken. We therefore had to quickly find an alternative restaurant. We are truly disappointed and will not be returning.

Dinner with THE view of Fortress Marienberg and the iconic Main Bridge, but also with incredibly slow and rather inattentive service. After being warmly welcomed (only table inside on a slower Sunday evening) and seated by a gentleman, our early arriving party was not offered drinks/served until the missing two joined way later: our waitress wasn’t busy, but just didn’t seem to care. Food was freshly prepared, well presented and tasty, but missing the wow factor given the hefty price tag. Appetizer portions are on the small side. Biggest reason for just four star was however the barebones service and often empty glasses. If your waitress rather chats with her colleagues than…

We stopped here and had a fantastic meal. Our server recommended a nice riesling which was not only reasonably priced, but a nice pour as well. We then told him we were tired of sausages and kraut and wanted a recommendation on a lunch. He recommended either the pork shoulder or the boiled veal with horseradish sauce. We ordered one of each and they were fantastic! The pork and veal were so tender and the sauces were wonderful. Unfortunately there was more than we could eat, but we finished the meats. We later came back for a glass of wine to drink on the Wine Bridge. Fantastic place to visit, but skip breakfast if you're having lunch there!

A very expensive menu. Wiener schnitzel for €33, rump steak for €33, each plus €7 for fried potatoes for a truly mediocre meal is pretty bold. The schnitzel was okay, but the rump steak, which was ordered rare, was medium at best and very fatty. The fried potatoes were a mess. For that price, I'd happily eat elsewhere. Unfortunately, this level of quality is now pervasive in many restaurants in Würzburg. The quality is considerably better at the Bürgerspital and various Italian restaurants.

We went there as a group for dinner last night. We had made a reservation. The service was very good and attentive. I had the burrata as a starter and the shoulder of pork for the main course. It was truly a treat. I've rarely eaten so well. I would give the food six stars if that were possible.

The staff member initially told us we should have waited up front, and he did so in a very arrogant and unfriendly manner. After we told him we only wanted a drink, he grudgingly told us we couldn't sit on the upper balcony, as it was reserved only for guests who wanted something to eat. The lady who served us was extremely friendly and accommodating, although she was also reprimanded before us.

Booked a table on the balcony with a view of the Maine and the old Main Bridge. A little cramped between the tables but we were able to order quickly and the food and drinks came very quickly. Nice staff who made various recommendations. Large portions.

The vegetarian pointed peppers weren't worth the visit. The portion was very small, expensive, and not particularly tasty.

We waited about 15 minutes for a table. The table was on the terrace, and the view was beautiful. The service was terrible. The waitress very rudely told me to put the water bottle in my bag. I only had a small clutch bag with me. A water bottle doesn't really fit in there. It was 35 degrees outside, and I can't imagine how anyone could go outside without water in that heat. We waited until someone came and took our order. After 20 minutes, we still couldn't order anything. No drinks, and no food. After spending a total of 40 minutes in the restaurant, we left without ordering anything. Unbelievable. The prices for the dishes are very high, and the arrogance of the waiters is completely out of keeping with the restaurant's standards.

The ambience is, of course, the highlight. Both the location and the interior are truly beautiful. The service during our visit was very friendly and attentive. We found it slightly confusing that, although there seemed to be many waiters, only one seemed to be taking our order at any one time. Drinks took correspondingly longer to arrive when there's only one waiter for a group of 30 people. The food itself tasted really good, but the quantity could have been a bit larger, especially given the hefty prices. It was also annoying that the side salad didn't arrive until after the main course. It can happen, but it shouldn't in an upscale restaurant. I would give the restaurant another chance, though. Regarding the outside sales: During busy times on the bridge, the wine sales at the outside counter are clearly undersized; you have to wait forever for your turn. And at least in our case, a poor saleswoman had to handle the orders, filling the glasses, and returning the deposit all by herself. I felt really sorry for her

Dry Aged Beef Tenderloin! The Best...!

A wonderful evening at the Alte Meinmühle Inn with a stunning view of the river. The cream of asparagus soup with cress was delicately seasoned and very creamy. The marinated Bavarian heifer fillet and tartare were tender and flavorful. The sorbet trilogy with mango, rhubarb, and raspberry was fruity and fresh and perfect. The friendly service and harmonious ambiance rounded off the visit wonderfully.

There is a restaurant inside, and the bar outside sells wine by the glass. The food was average, but I liked the view of the bridge. The service was friendly. I came out and had a glass of wine, and the wine was really good. You have to pay a deposit of 5 euros per glass, and you get 5 euros back when you return it. I had the Silvaine at the top of the menu, and the Rosé below that.

We picked up some Franconian wine here for our bridge shopping trip. The selection was okay.

We've never been inside; so far, we've only ever made it to the sidewalk stall, where we've bought ourselves a glass of wine to sip on the Old Main Bridge, if you can even describe it as being among dozens of like-minded people. Regarding "dozens," it was manageable this time 😊

Reserved a table for four at lunchtime. We had a beautiful view. The food was very good, and the drinks were delicious and well chilled. The service was friendly and attentive.

The inn is located directly at the bridgehead of the old Main Bridge and is a perfect place to stop for a bite to eat. Due to its popularity as a tourist destination, however, it's quite cramped and noisy inside, as they understandably try to accommodate as many guests as possible. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, the prices and portion sizes didn't always meet our expectations. There was nothing particularly wrong with the taste, but some of the prices were a bit too high for us (e.g., a salad - just leaf lettuce and some carrot for €15). The dishes on the daily specials menu are an exception. These were really good, plentiful, and reasonably priced.

We went there for lunch yesterday. I had the three-course menu, and everything was very good. Fine, modern cuisine, good, homemade sauces. The service was very friendly and quick, and the seating was lovely with a view of the Main River and the bridge. Everything was great!

My girlfriend and I went to the Alte Mainmühle today. We ordered beer, a latte macchiato, and two portions of meatballs. After the meal, we were severely poisoned and had long-term health problems. The food was obviously spoiled. In addition, the staff was very unfriendly and rude, with no willingness to help or apologize. We are very disappointed and cannot recommend this place.

After our wedding ceremony in the Grafeneckartturm with over 60 guests, we held a champagne reception at the Alte Mainmühle via the famous sales window – and it was simply fantastic! The communication beforehand was reliable and friendly, and everything went smoothly on site. The team was superbly organized and welcoming. For us, it was the perfect start to our wedding celebration – in a venue with a unique atmosphere. We absolutely recommend it!

We had reserved a table outside so we could enjoy the beautiful view. When we arrived, we were ignored for 10 minutes apart from a brief comment that someone would be there soon. A man came and showed us our table inside in the corner. When I asked whether we had reserved an outside table, I received a very unfriendly reply: "Yes, but I saw it's wet." This was correct. It had rained an hour earlier, but by then everything had cleared up. In this kind of high-priced restaurant, I expect the tables to be dried out, or at least a friendlier greeting. The food was delicious and our service was very friendly.

I was visiting the beautiful city of Würzburg with a friend, and we both wanted to eat typical Franconian food! We found it here! Great location, super friendly staff, and what can I say, outstanding food! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

We didn't have a reservation and were assigned a very nice place. Unfortunately, the so-called "wedding dinner" wasn't warm. The noodles were cold and the beef was only lukewarm. So there's still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to eating... also when it comes to the choice of food, there wasn't much that you would have liked to order.
