The owner explained to us that it will be closing permanently soon. Therefore, there was no more food.

Very friendly, the prices are fair, the staff is helpful and welcoming and we had a great meal. It was excellent. The food is very good quality.

Delicious lunch and incredibly friendly hosts. Great!

What can I say? A friendly old landlord in an old inn with his wife as cook. The food takes its time. The schnitzel was average, the fries were tasty, but the sauce was not very creamy, thin, and obviously cheaply packaged. €20.50 with a beer is okay for lunch, but nothing that will keep you coming back.

I'm sorry, but I haven't eaten this badly in years. The owner was friendly, but that was it. The creamed schnitzel wasn't even a centimeter thick, was hard and tiny, and the sauce was topped with whipped cream, tasteless. The worst part was that the owner/cook coughed in the kitchen the whole time. Absolutely unacceptable - never again.

The food was delicious and the host was very friendly. Traditional dishes were on the menu; we had the schnitzels. Good portions and a tasty salad to start.

We had the Swabian pot, which was very filling, flavorful, and served at the perfect temperature. The service was excellent. The price was absolutely reasonable. I highly recommend the Gasthof Adler.

Another restaurant with good cuisine. Here the innkeeper serves himself and the lady of the house cooks. Everything seems like it's from days gone by. The food itself tastes good and the portions are reasonable. The toilets are in the basement. You still have to be good on foot. Parking spaces are on site.

Jäger cut, Wiener cut, veal cut and cordon blue. All tasty and good portions. In advance you received a simple but tasty salad. All in all, a good meal.

Perfect welcome, very good cuisine, excellent value for money

Can't understand the good reviews. I ate cream schnitzel with spaetzle. Schnitzels were hard, thin, of very poor quality. (more like a 5 minute schnitzel from the discounter), the spaetzle were cheap bagged goods, tasteless and cold. Served on a tea light plate. The sauce was a packet sauce...just inedible. I've never eaten so badly. Actually worth zero points.

A very nice restaurant to recommend, the host was super friendly and always up for a little chat. As far as the food was concerned, it was super tasty and the price was very reasonable. Would definitely come again, unfortunately no photos of the food were taken

Sehr leckere Speisen mit sehr nettem Gastgeber

Eine Hand voll Wurstsalat für 10€, dazu eine kleine Scheibe Brot. Service ist verbesserungswürdig

Das Essen ist nicht gut auch keine besonders gute Auswahl. Die Preise sind fuer das gebotene weit uebertrieben. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Visited in the middle of summer. A very nice (Serbian) host with a lovely place in the main Street of Zell am Harmersbach. He knows a lot of stories about what he serves while his wife cooks very delicious dinner. Do note he serves primarily meat and sometimes does not have everything on menu anymore. Portions are good and taste great as well! Would defenitely visit again.

Perfektes Essen und der Wirt ein Alter Freund. Durch Zufall wieder getroffen

Von außen unscheinbar und innen eher nüchtern. Dafür ist der Gastwirt ein durchaus witziger Mann. Freundlich und sehr gesprächig. Das Essen war gut und kam recht schnell.

Das Essen war nur teilweise gut, das Steak zu dünn und die Spätzle aus der Packung. Zu Hause hätze man besser gekocht. Aber einen Versuch war es wert.

Gut Bürgerliches Essen es hat für jeden Geschmack was auf der Karte. Wenn man draußen Sitzt, Sitz man an einer sehr stark befahrene Straße.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Man sitzt recht gut, aber das Essen ist gar nicht gut. Bier trinken gerne wieder, aber nicht nochmal zum Essen.

Nichts aussergewöhnliches aber mehr als nur Zufriedenheit kannst du bei diesen Preisen nicht erwarten.

Tolle Lokalität Sehr freundlicher Mitarbeiter mit Sinn für Humor. Wehrmutstropfen: Verkehr. Ein solches Lokal ist Dank des Verkehrs dem Untergang geweiht. Unser Essen hätte weitaus besser ohne, ich hab sie gezählt 21 Lkw's ,und 87 PKW's geschmeckt. Auch waren wir beim Griechen an der Ecke. Auch hier sehr freundlich und gute Bedienung. Da sind die hin und herfahrer nicht dabei. Fazit: Wir waren auf dem Womostandplatz,die Idee mit dem Automaten für die Standgebühr , fand ich super und unkompliziert , freundliche Gastro sehr schlechte Verkehrsführung. Eigentlich Schade für einen so schönen Ort.

Sehr einseitige Speisekarte wo Fleisch und Schnitzel den Hauptteil ausmachen. Sehr starker Fettgeruch im Gastraum.
