Excellent food and very friendly service.

I was only familiar with the previous management. The atmosphere in the newly renovated restaurant has deteriorated. Unfortunately, the cozy ambiance is gone. The service was attentive and friendly. The tarte flambée was delicious. However, the main course (corn-fed chicken) was not tasty. It lacked seasoning; the mashed potatoes were missing butter and salt, and there was no hint of nutmeg. The jus tasted industrially produced. The Maggi seasoning was definitely noticeable. Overall, it was a disappointing experience, and in my opinion, the food didn't have much to do with French cuisine. The price and quality were disproportionate. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Anyone who knows the "old" Garcon knows that it's no longer what it used to be, like "our second living room." When we still lived on Leon-Jessel-Platz, we were there several times a week. Now we were in the area and stopped by. The ambiance is drab, the food was bad (cold quiche, uninspired salad, a miserable croque monsieur with spoiled sauce, as we discovered later that night), and the prices were exorbitant. French flair—well, that's a stretch. We look back wistfully and won't be returning.

Excellent breakfast in a lovely atmosphere! The service is very attentive and the chef creates a wonderfully relaxed vibe with his dishes. All in all, highly recommended; I'll definitely be having dinner there soon.

I recently went there for breakfast. On my way to the restroom, I saw a rat running around in the kitchen. My appetite vanished immediately. The authorities have already been informed. I don't usually leave reviews, but this one was a must.

Beautifully located café-restaurant. In summer, it's wonderful to sit outside in the traffic-calmed square with a fountain. Service is extremely friendly. We often go there for breakfast; the food is always delicious.

After several changes of management, the food has deteriorated noticeably, and prices have risen significantly. The outdoor seating is still very pleasant, and the service is attentive and friendly.

So, we had nothing to complain about today. A very tasty salad with lentils, beets, and feta cheese, along with caramelized walnuts and tarte flambée. Service was also friendly and quick. We'd love to go again!

The food was lukewarm, the tarte flambée was burnt, and the coq au vin was overcooked. I had to ask three times for a glass of red wine. Unfortunately, it was a bad experience, but the place is very pleasant.

This is not at all in keeping with French cuisine. The service is terrible. The presentation of the dishes is terrible. If you can't cook French dishes, don't cook them. I don't recommend it.

The restaurant is very nice, rustic French. You can feel the charm and flair. The terrace is great in the square with a fountain. But why is the food so bad? It doesn't taste French at all. Don't eat there, but drink and enjoy. Hopefully, the food will improve again, like it did back when the restaurant was run by the French. - Dommage!!

Even with the new staff, it's not a culinary highlight—it's actually gotten worse. Watery onion soup and unseasoned tartar. Not recommended for eating. It's nice to sit outside for a drink, and the unprofessional service isn't so annoying.

I was at this restaurant yesterday, May 29th, and it was simply fantastic! The food was consistently delicious, fresh, and perfectly balanced in flavor. But what really made the evening special was the excellent service – especially Orçun. Orçun rounded off the evening perfectly with his polite, friendly, and highly professional manner. He was attentive, always had a smile on his face, and really took the time to respond to our requests. Hosts like him are rare – you simply feel welcome and in good hands with him. Kudos to the entire team.

Since the new catering, things are no longer going as well as they used to. The food has become tasteless, the staff is inattentive and sloppy. The atmosphere was still okay. It's a shame because the food really wasn't cheap.

The best tarte flambée outside of France that I have ever eaten. My girlfriend is allergic. Her wishes were taken into account and she received competent advice. The salad was freshly prepared and was very tasty. We were served very friendly.

Today we had a big birthday breakfast at Garçon, a group of 19 adults and 4 children, in a separate room. Everything was beautifully laid out, a small buffet on the side, very tasty breakfast with everything you could want. The service was very friendly and attentive. Everything was a success, my guests felt very comfortable! Many thanks to you kitchen and the service!

Since the new catering, the Garcon can finally be recommended again. Delicious food and very friendly attentive service. The meatballs in particular are great. The salads are not as run-of-the-mill as usual.

We had onion soup, snails, coq au vin and a bouillabaisse that finally didn't come across as a thin broth, but was what you want it to be: a strong, creamy soup made from seafood with lots of tomatoes and saffron, with the addition of Mediterranean fish, vegetables and shrimp. Lavish, almost a main course. The other dishes were also delicious and traditionally prepared. Super tender chicken braised in red wine. Everything on the menu is classic French cuisine. Good, suitable wine selection. The service is very friendly, fast, competent and attentive. All of this is available in the casual atmosphere of a French restaurant/bistro. People sit relaxed at wooden tables. We had a great evening. In summer you sit outside for breakfast, or in a café and patisserie. The kitchen is also open at lunchtime. The Garcon has probably been around for a long time, but we didn't know about it until now. The operator has changed. For us, it's a real new tip for fans of traditional French gastronomy and we'll be happy to come back.

Very nice restaurant with nice attentive staff. Lunch was really good. I had a vegetarian gratin. Family friendly even with babies and there is even a changing table. We will definitely come here again.

The olives and fish tasted really strange and the thickened fish soup had little to do with its name “bouillabaisse”. The seat was worn out. Although the service staff were nice and attentive, I cannot currently recommend the restaurant.

We come here very often and are always very impressed. Today Salade Maison with the delicious house vinaigrette, a very good bouillabaisse and a perfectly medium fried steak with delicious fries. Always happy again!

Always ambivalent: the menu somehow becomes more and more expensive, not even "real" French cuisine, it always seems somehow faked, drinks become more and more expensive, toilets become more and more dirty. There's still room for improvement, but the people of Wilmersdorf don't seem to care that much Definitely positive: you can just sit outside and just drink a beer or wine

Starter (salmon on avocado with creme fraiche) OK, although tasteless, drinks only after the starter, goat cheese with gnocchi, alternatively the salad with goat cheese zero eight fifteen, I'm guessing ready-made salad from the metro, steak unfortunately not medium , complained, came back, cut it crosswise and put it on the grill again, unfortunately the fries and sauce weren't really tasty either. All in all, unfortunately: irrelevant! You can do it once, you don't have to do it twice. A pity!

The whole family was thrilled. The merguez were great and fresh, my girlfriend's mix grill was very tasty with a herb truffle butter. My daughter liked the salad with shrimps. My granddaughter had a vegetable casserole gratinated with raclette cheese. The street is so quiet, children are playing around a water mushrooms. Very idyllic.

We ordered the lunch menu and croque madame. The portions were more than meager and the meat was fried completely dry. The sandwich was two pieces of toast carelessly folded together. The price for the quantity borders on outrageous

Drinks and service absolutely good. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. Everything was very tasteless. Otherwise, of course, the store scores points for its brilliant location in this wonderful square. Also very nice inside to sit comfortably with a glass of wine.

Nice atmosphere, you can sit comfortably outside. Unfortunately the food was very bad. Cheap ingredients and the quiche and gratinated toast not fresh. Visible from at least the day before, you can't serve something like that, couldn't eat some of it and went back. It's a shame, the kitchen seems to have been better on other days according to reviews. Unfortunately there was no reaction from the staff to our feedback.

We had an onion soup and a broccoli soup. Both tasted really bad and not fresh. The onion soup was bitter and the broccoli soup was very sour. I hope I don't get food poisoning.

The atmosphere outside is great, it's very comfortable to sit in. Unfortunately the food wasn't good! For more than 20 euros you can get a bowl of beef in a red wine sauce on a plate in about 4-5 minutes (which is really very quick) with two whole mushrooms and thumb-sized carrots. Another bowl of salad. Next to it on the large plate is a potato gratin made of probably 1-2 potatoes. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for food!

Sanitary facilities are anything but appropriate for the price of the restaurant. Half of the powder room is covered by the sink, so you have to sit at an angle. The toilet seat in the disabled toilet was once broken in the middle, the flush was broken and the water was running through, and the fittings were calcified. So I would be ok if the meal cost €5, but not €25. Food is quite ok (pizza from the shop next door, which is part of the restaurant, but a bit too salty), drink prices are moderate.

We had a wonderful evening with delicious food and a very nice team who looked after us very well. Overall successful, also suitable for larger groups.

This is the second time I've eaten in this restaurant. I was here on vacation for a week and wanted to choose a French restaurant. The older waitress behaved a bit arrogantly and it was difficult to understand each other because they didn't seem to speak any German. But at least the younger lady was very polite and helpful. The lunch offering was impeccable.

A small, French restaurant in the local neighborhood. Small but cozy, service was good, wine and food were delicious. However, the prices are quite high. Unfortunately, I have to note that it wasn't immediately announced that the kitchen was closing - it wasn't even possible to get anything cold and people were asked to "leave" much earlier than an hour later, which is a shame. Otherwise I had a nice evening there.

Super leckere Mittagsgericht mit viel Wahlmöglichkeiten in wahlweise zwei oder drei Gängen. 0,2l Softdrink nach Wahl inklusive. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Schnelle Zubereitung.

Beautiful French restaurant by Wasserpilz. Nice authentic French menu with lots of choices even from other parts of Europe and all reasonably priced for Berlin. I had the Moules Mariniere and my wife had the Liver and we were both very impressed indeed. Service was great and any complaints about the toilet that I read on some reviews are groundless as they were perfectly fine. Highly recommended especially if you fancy something French.

Einer meiner ersten Anlaufpunkte wenn ich in meinem alten Kiez bin . Sehr gute Küche, toller Service etwas mehr Atmosphäre, Leute wo warst ihr vor 30 Jahren als ich noch jung war, ich hätte bei euch bestimmt eine Flatrate ausgehandelt. Danke und bis zum nächsten Mal!!

Hier konnte man mal ganz gut essen. Konnte. Der IST-Zustand ist so, dass ich meine Rechnung mit Freude zahlte, um das Gericht NICHT zu essen.... Ungenießbar und definitiv geschmacksneutral. Hätte ich mehr als die zwei leicht gefüllten Gabeln gegessen, wäre das schmerzensgeldwürdig geworden. Zahlen und nix wie weg. Hier kann man nur noch etwas Trinken - aber nie mehr essen. Gutes Investment für diese Erkenntnis.

Das Essen und der Service waren prima. Sehr freundliche und flexible Kellner:innen. Einziges Manko: die Damentoilette! Die Toilettentür echt unappetittlich. Hoffentlich sieht es nicht so in der Küche aus. Ist mir unverständlich, dass das dort niemandem auffällt.

Der Terrasse ist sehr lauschig und auch bei Hitze schön schattig. Die Portionen sind im Verhältnis zum Preis teilweise klein. Ca. 10 Gnocchi mit Rote Beete Sauce 17,50 €. Der offene Weißwein hat nicht geschmeckt. Dessert war eine große Portion. Der Service war nicht sehr aufmerksam und mangels Sprachkenntnissen sehr einsilbig. Statt einer Rechnung wurde uns nur eine Summe genannt. Die kam aber nach Gefühl hin.

Charmants Bistro mit französischem Flair. Preise üblich für die Gegend. Portionsgröße vom Omelette passt zur Preis-Leistung, war aber sehr lecker.

Eigentlich eine wunderschöne Location, hier wäre so viel Potential. Aber das Essen ist teuer und nicht mal gut.

Das beste ist die Lage, einer der schönsten Plätze in Wilmersdorf. Das Essen höchstens mittelmäßig, dafür kleine Portionen und überteuert.

Gibt lecker Mittagstisch unter der Woche für einen Zehner. Gibt Innen- und Aussenbereich. Kommen sicher immer mal wieder.

Ich treffe den albanischen Besitzer immer bei Lidl wenn er dort seine Spezialitäten für sein französisches Restaurant kauft :) Der nette Besitzer der niemals sein Personal vor den Gästen maßregelt boabchtet immer alles aus der Ferne. Übrigens, nebenan macht der nette albanischen Mensch, einen auf Italiener :) Diagonal gegenüber vertreibt er Kaffeemaschinen :) Sehr Geschäftstüchtig der gute nette Mann

Nettes französisches Restaurant mit Charme. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Unaufgefordert bot man uns an die Vorspeisen, Knoblauchbaquette und Zwiebelsuppe zu teilen und jeweils auf zwei Tellern zu servieren. Das stimmte uns schon positiv auf den Hauptgang ein. Das Coq au vin war sehr reichhaltig und kam mit Baquette und Kartoffelgratin und dazu noch mit wohlschmeckendem Salat. Meine Partnerin zog eine kalte Räucherfichplatze vor, die sie auch fast zufrieden stellte. Ein kleinerer Wermutstropfen war der nicht ganz aufgetaute Heilbutt. Da aber alles andere stimmig war, könnte man darüber hinweg sehen. Ein schöner Merlot rundete das Essen ab. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Es ist eine ungezwungene Atmosphäre mit guter französischer Küche und freundlichem Personal. Speziell im Sommer mit seiner Terrasse ist es auf dem Jesselplatz mit Brunnen ein guter Ort zum Speisen & Verweilen.

Die Gegend ist sehr schön und das Essen in diesem Restaurant könnte ein Erlebnis sein (kleiner Platz mit Brunnen), ist es aber nicht. Noch vor drei Jahren war alles hier viel besser. Keine Ahnung, was passiert ist, jetzt leider nur noch mittelmäßig - schade! Das Schlimmste hier ist aber die Bedienung. Die Kellner sind unaufmerksam, es wird ständig geraucht statt zu bedienen, sie wirken sogar beinahe gelangweilt. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass sie auffallend lange auf Trinkgeld warten. Man fragt sich als Gast, für welche Leistung denn? Alles in Allem finde ich das sehr schade.

Inhaber ist Albaner dem zufällig auch der Italiener nebenan gehört. Schräg gegenüber gehört im rein zufällig auch der Reparaturdienst für Kaffeemaschinen der immer geschlossen ist. Also wer hier denkt er bekomme Qualität, sollte mal zu Lidl gehen. Da sehe ich ihn nämlich immer seine "Spezialitäten" für seine Läden einkaufen. Früher wo der Laden von Jean Paul gehörte, war das wenigstens noch ehrliche französische Küche usw.

Tolles französisches Restaurant an einem wunderschönen Platz unter Bäumen mitten in der Stadt.

Dieses Restaurant ist ein sehr gemütlicher Ort und man kann auch sehr angenehm draußen auf der Terrasse in der Sonne sitzen. Ich kenne hauptsächlich die gute Tageskarte wo man preisgünstig ein Mittagessen, eine Vorspeise, ein Dessert und ein Getränk bekommt.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, tolle Speisekarte, super Lage und ein kleinwenig hat das Möbel über die Jahre gelitten. War eine tolle Entdeckung und wird uns zukünftig öfter begrüßen.

Hyggeligt indrettet og god atmosfære, flink betjening, acceptablet prisniveau som harmonerer med både smagen og størrelse på portion. Kommer gerne igen. Endvidere er restauranten tro mod det franske køkken, og menukortet er simpelt men godt.
