Very tasty tapas in a family atmosphere. During a short trip to Aachen we came across Garcia Latin Fusion & Tapas. We ate very tasty tapas in a nice atmosphere (including Spanish small talk). We would love to come back on our next trip to Aachen.

We were the first guests on a Thursday. The service and friendliness were outstanding. The quality of the food was very good. It was our first visit and we will definitely come back with friends because we don't want to withhold it from you... And the main reason is the owner, Melaquiel!!! Most friendly restaurant in the neighborhood.

We went to Garcia for the first time yesterday. The welcome and support from the host were very warm, the atmosphere was very cozy and informal and the food was very tasty. We had Tostades Garcia and several tapas and were able to choose from a wide range even as vegetarians. There are a few niche seats in the restaurant, so you can sit quietly but still get a bit of what's going on - we love this mix. We really had a lovely evening here!

The food is freshly prepared. Therefore it takes a corresponding amount of time, which is completely fine. However, I miss a little more service. With a 45 minute wait, I think it would be nice to get a greeting from the kitchen. Olives, some bread… Anything. The really tasty cocktail for €8.50 also consisted of 50% ice cubes. The table decoration made of plastic flowers looks careless in an otherwise very beautiful, old restaurant with a stem. When tapas with guacamole are offered, but the amount is one teaspoon, I find the measurement irritating. There is still room for improvement here.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. We chose this restaurant for our company Christmas party based on Google reviews. The taste of the food was okay, everything else was a big disaster. It started with the waiter who, instead of taking our order, put a piece of paper and a pen on the table and asked us to write down who ordered what. Nevertheless, the order didn't come as we ordered it. As the meal progressed we discovered that some side dishes were not available, even though a table for 12 people had been reserved for 2 months so they had time to prepare everything. This is unacceptable in a restaurant of this level. The waiter argued with us that the things we ordered didn't come as they should have and claimed it was our fault. The owner just looked into the whole situation, but unfortunately he didn't show up once and apologize for the inconvenience.

We celebrated our anniversary there today and found the tapas really tasty. We shared 5 of them, all of which were super good. Great selection for vegetarians too and the homemade lemonade...highly recommended!

These were by far the worst tapas I have ever eaten in my life! The price-performance ratio is definitely out of proportion! Absolute disappointment!

Good and tasty tapa selection, especially croquettes with cheese, yuca, etc..., very tasty ceviche de pulpo. Service quite good, except for the current weakness below. Very tasty Latin American dishes, such as yuca (mahnioc) croquettes, but you miss a bit of the typical Latin American spicy pep, some of us also liked this, just a matter of taste. Current weakness: When you come in you are served quickly, but the busier it gets, this quickly decreases because, in my opinion, the staff is a bit understaffed. For this I allow myself to deduct 1 star. Despite everything, I really liked it, especially the ambience and of course the food. I would like to try a few more things.

One evening in November, as often, a little getaway to Aachen and what a disappointment, slow service...staff who forgot us and then 1 hour of waiting for the dishes and bottles of water never served...the nice barmaid came excuse me (well we believe because we ONLY speak German, apart from my husband is Spanish and could have helped himself… supposedly we offer 2 cokes and we pay 6€ for the said coke and small padrõn peppers displayed less expensive than the bill… in short…never again!

Very nice South American restaurant/bar. Run by South Americans, therefore very authentic. - Food: Excellent, simple, authentic South American dishes. (If you expect Michelin standards from a small South American restaurant, it's your own fault.) It also fills you up well if you're hungry. I thought it was great! - Drinks: great cocktails! Also South American wines and the usual drinks. - Prices: good - Furnishings and atmosphere: beautiful classic building with real wooden walls, mirrors, etc. Very relaxed, personal feel-good atmosphere. (- Tip: the smell of the kitchen is a bit strong right next to the kitchen door; It's better to sit a little further away from the kitchen door.) - Music: very nice mix of Latino classics, very pleasant volume - Service: Very warm, friendly and personal, you immediately feel at home. (A little chaotic, perhaps, but if you can't handle that, you shouldn't go to South America.) The boss is also happy to have a long conversation with the guests in Spanish or German if you wish. You can't get this anywhere else and it's really something special. - Overall: a wonderful experience. Recommendation.

Bei der Auswahl der Speisen haben wir auf die Bedienung gehört und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Es war unglaublich lecker und auf Nachfrage wurde uns sogar eine Cava Sangria serviert. Auf der Karte stand diese nicht. Sangria auch spitze 👍🏻

The restaurant was an Instagram recommendation, which unfortunately proves that you can't believe everything on social media. We were hoping to find a good tapas bar and were disappointed. First about the ambience: I found the decor comfortable. Very rustic, lots of dark wood, spiced up with Spanish/Colombian decorative elements. The reason I only give it 2 stars is partly because the tables are very small and very close together. We overheard every conversation from the neighboring tables. Two other guests had to change tables when the tapas arrived because not everything fit on the first table. We also sat facing the passage towards the kitchen. We always knew when the service could pick up the food because a table bell was used. The only difference was that they didn't even ring the bell, they just rang the bell very impatiently for a whole minute, which was really annoying. This is not an atmosphere to feel comfortable in. Next point: service. It was good at the beginning, we were given a menu straight away, drinks were taken and served and the boss personally took the food order (I'll come back to this, not everything was in stock). The more guests came, the more you could see that the service staff were not well organized. There wasn't a table that didn't have to repeatedly point out orders that hadn't yet been received. We also had to ask for the invoice more often; it was handwritten. Many guests then went straight to the counter to pay. That evening there was also a notice that only cash payments were possible, which forced some guests to go to an ATM. We also noticed this because many guests at the counter asked several times to get a subtotal so that they could get the appropriate money. Our bill came quickly, but no one came to collect it. So I went to the counter and had to help with the change because the waitress couldn't distinguish between the coins (he only spoke English). What was positive about the service was that they were consistently friendly and apologized several times. Now about the food: as already mentioned above, when we ordered, it started with the fact that not all the tapas were in stock (shrimp croquettes were there, he expected the fresh shrimp to be delivered from 7 p.m. - we were there at 5:30 p.m.; patas bravas He couldn't serve either, but papas arrugadas were possible). We chose 5 different tapas, some warm, some cold. We waited almost 1.5 hours for the order. And then it didn't even taste good or fresh. The bread with aioli (€6.50) were whole ciabatta rolls from the supermarket (I buy the brand myself) and the aioli was so firm and sticky that it didn't seem like it was homemade. The potatoes tasted like they had been warmed up the day before, the squid rings were so dark and dry, the breading crumbled when touched. Either they were fried for too long or they were from the day before and fried again. And for two people with a soft drink each and the 5 tapas I was out 50€. This is disproportionate to the quality, far too expensive. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Quite pleasant surroundings. Very pleasant staff giving excellent service. The night we were there, however, they were VERY busy, hampered by billing being done by hand and not electronically, which leads (can) to possibility of errors. Suggestion to Chef Garcia, croquettes should be served with dipping sauce and not served dry. Very good selection of wines and my partner said the Margarita he had was the best, prepared by our young lady waitress. She had a fantastic personality. The Chef knows how to pick great staff!

i can only say.bad food from entree over tapas until main course and cold bread with mayo ) bad service although the owner tries to feel u best friend with a lot of blablabla. that's in total contrast last year. thr garden was full of guests, today, same nice weather , same day, 6 guests of 50 places. at this standard its not a loss,if the restaurant has to close,sorry ,dont visite this restaurant no more,although im living nearby

Simplemente fue terrible. El servicio joven y amable fue saboteado por la mala organización y la cocina mal administrada. Los entrantes simples como el pan y las aceitunas no llegaron durante 90 minutos. Los huéspedes tienen que esperar mucho tiempo desagradable para cualquier cosa, por no mencionar las facturas. Las mesas y la cocina necesitan una brigada de limpieza.

Seems to have been a great place according to the overall rating, which encouraged us to have dinner there last Saturday. To no avail. We found a wood heavy and sloppily cleaned place with a staff of five in kitchen and service who were completely overchallenged by a tiny attendance of 5 tables. Order processing to invoicing seems to be a major obstacle, not to mention preparing food. We ordered starters at 7.45pm which did not arrive when we left upset by 9.20pm. To be avoided.

Nach einem anstrengenden Ausflugstag wollten wir hungrig zum Abschluss etwas gutes essen - und wir wurden völlig enttäuscht. Über die Qualität der Speisen ist nichts zu sagen, weil wir über eine Stunde nach der Bestellung trotz mehrfacher Nachfrage nicht einmal eine einfache Vorspeise (Oliven mit Brot) bekommen hatten. Da auch der Getränkenachschub schlecht funktionierte und die beiden Kellner einen völlig überforderten Eindruck machten haben wir knapp 1,5 Stunden nach Ankunft den Laden unverrichteter Dinge wieder verlassen. Übrigens gab es am Nebentisch die Aufforderung ans Personal, doch bitte den soeben mit Beschlag gelegten Tisch abzuwischen - auch kein Hinweis auf professionelles Verhalten der dort Arbeitenden. Nie wieder! In einem anderen Lokal gab es dann ein Happy End...

It's really a great experience. I haven't had this much fun eating in a long time. The boss but also the employees are sweet as sugar. The atmosphere is also great and it really feels like you are free of all problems and worries for the time being. Went there with friends to spend a nice evening with tapas, paella and a good mood...Eating should be fun! Service completely incompetent in sweatpants and sneakers. The simplest requests for cutlery, drinks or ashtrays are only granted after repeated inquiries. First drinks after 35 minutes of waiting. Unfortunately, the one drink remained for two hours due to the incompetence of the waitresses. Plates dirty, table mats with grease stains and the dishes absolutely not worth the price given for the quality. Tapas like paella with dried out mussels and scampi, other cheap ingredients, tasteless. We skipped the dessert and obligatory cafe con leche there and preferred to change locations. Not recommended

Service: Asked underground 5 times for an ashtray. We also had to ask for cutlery. Food was way too expensive for paella. Tasted like German cuisine with some seafood. The mussels didn't taste like anything. I was very disappointed. Too bad

We had an incredibly great evening at Garcia. The owner and conditions are very attentive and friendly. The food is great. Especially the tapas, for example the prawns, great chef!! It was our first time there but we'll definitely be back. The Garcia is a clear recommendation and very cozy.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here. It was a Monday but the place was still full of couples out for a date. The food was great. We loved the steak and gamba. Highly recommend checking it out.

Badly. The shrimp in the sauce were not peeled, you had to reach into the dish with your hands to remove the skin and clean out their insides... The prices are very high. Paella came with very little seafood??? The workers didn't ask if we liked the dishes. Unfortunately, it was not possible for two people to eat for 70 euros.

Went for a business celebration and we absolutely loved the place. Food is fantastic and it’s also super easy for people with gluten allergy, both the owner and the cooker were super careful and even prepared some special things for me to substitute the ones I could not eat ☺️. We bezochten recent 3 goede (volgens Google) restaurants met Spaanse paella. Gracia werd een goede nr. 2, de beste is Casa Espagna in Herzogenrath, en Barcelonetta in Gronsveld viel tegen. De zaak, in een mooie villa, ligt aan de drukke Ludwigsallee. Maakt dus parkeren moeilijk. Ergens in de woonwijk erachter wat zoeken. Restaurant is mooi, met een aparte uitstraling. Wordt gerund door een gezin, dus bij drukte duurt het ietsje langer. Zeer attente bediening. De vispaella was redelijk voorzien van vis, en smaakte voortreffelijk. Grote porties, we hadden een 3 persoonspan, en die kostte 62 euro. Heel redelijk, en genoeg voor nog een keertje genieten.

We haven't eaten tapas this well in a long time. Everything was just right here. The quality of the food is really good, the atmosphere is very nice and the service is just as great. Gladly again soon.

In my opinion, the prices are disproportionate to the quality of the dishes, not to mention the size of the portions. That borders on impertinent. We went to Garcia for the first time today. We were greeted very warmly and felt welcome straight away. The tapas we ordered were all delicious. Highlight: a mini paella The desserts and cocktails are also highly recommended. The owner is really friendly and even took the time to chat. You really feel comfortable here. We can only recommend the Garcia and will definitely come back.

Was there for the first time today, location furnishings were probably taken over from the previous owner, I didn't find it very "Latin American", service was friendly and attentive, but a bit uncoordinated, food... I had a main course that was kind of like a rice pan, it tasted good . But there was no South American flair. However, in my opinion the price is completely excessive for this dish, and not all of the ingredients were fresh either, canned mushrooms are absolutely not acceptable in this price range.

Great restaurant! Definitely one of the best in Aachen. Or maybe just the best. Excellent food, especially the steak, one of the best I've ever tasted, and a unique selection of fine wines. Das Restaurant pflegt selber einen hohen Anspruch („Fusion-Küche“). Die Trinkgläser waren sauber poliert. Die Mühlen für Pfeffer und Salz waren auch sehr sauber. Das Ambiente stammt noch vom Vorgänger (Restaurant Limeri) und wurde von uns als lebendig und angenehm empfunden. Der Oktopus-Salat war ausgewogen mit einer guten selbstgemachten Dressing. Die Oktopusstücke waren zart und saftig. Lediglich die großen Stücke vom ganzen Maiskolben stellen einen vor die Wahl, sie mit den Händen zu essen oder liegen zu lassen. Kleine Holzsticks, mit denen man Maiskolben aufspießen könnte, wurden nicht angeboten. Die kleine Paella war geschmacklich ausgewogen. Die Gamba war seitlich aufgeschlitzt und sauber ausgenommen. Sieht man nicht alle Tage. Die Datteln im Speckmantel waren geschmacklich sehr gut. Aber sie waren nur von einer Seite angebraten. Die gegenüberliegende Seite bot rohen Speck. Dies gibt einen Punkt Abzug in der Bewertung. Das Personal empfanden wir als freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind ausgesprochen hoch. Eine Flasche Gerolsteiner Mineralwasser für über 7,— Euro zeigt das Preisniveau. Dafür gibt es einen weiteren Punktabzug.

I think that the prices are disproportionate to good tapas restaurants in Düsseldorf, for example. 6€ for white bread with aioli? The food is okay, but not a highlight either. Not particularly well seasoned or anything like that, everything a bit dry. The service made us wait a few times.

Starting from appetizers: ceviche de pulpo, tapas: dateln con bacon, croquetta de gambas & queso fritto, and for the main course: steak and filette bachata. and I was very surprised because everything was really good ❤️ first Ceviche de Pulpo in Aaachen and really perfect! 1000/1000 🌟 All their seafood is really fresh. The steak are good, nothing very special but you have to try their Bachata! MUST! Their service is really friendly and the boss is so humble too! highly recommended 🥰

Went to Garcia for the first time today. We once ordered a dozen tapas dishes. A compliment to the kitchen. The only small point of criticism. I paid by card. However, you only find out how much the bill is after paying with the card. No problem. Anyone who likes Spanish cuisine is in good hands there. I'm conflicted about the price-performance ratio. Still recommended if you're not concerned about money.

We were in beautiful Aachen over New Year's Eve and since I haven't been to the Spaniard in a while, I reserved a table at Garcia. As soon as we arrived at the premises, we were impressed by the atmosphere. The welcome was very friendly and we were allowed to choose the table almost freely. The boss personally came to greet us and served the red wine for tasting. The food (tapas) was absolutely fantastic :) we were thrilled. Finally good food and drink the way I love it again, thank you for that!!!! Above all, an extra “thanks” to the boss for the insights into his life and the extra “treats” :) We will remember this brilliant New Year's Eve for a long time. ...if possible we would like to come again!
