We were significantly late due to a traffic jam, but the staff was super friendly and still saved our space for us. It's really cozy in the restaurant, but that doesn't really bother me. Everything is clean and nicely decorated. You order using the QR code that is placed on the table. It takes a little getting used to at first but at least there are no misunderstandings. The food was with us within 10 minutes and was really tasty and not as brutally spicy as it often is in Korean restaurants. The portions were also decent, so I had to take the rest with me. I would definitely come again.

The food is super fresh and of high quality. The service is super friendly and fulfills your every wish. A complete success and definitely not my last visit.

Shortly after opening a few years ago, Gangnamstyle was a really cool, stylish shop with delicious Korean dishes. Unfortunately, little by little the shop has developed more and more into a tourist shack for expensive food that you can grill yourself. In addition to fried chicken, the menu used to include various stir-fries and tteokbokki rosé. These unique and delicious dishes have become less and less on the menu, instead mainly offering table grill stuff. As a result, the store is extremely stuffy and warm, and the clothes smell accordingly after the visit. Unfortunately, the fried chicken has also declined. You can tell that it has already been prepared and is being heated again quickly. That's why the breading isn't really crispy but rather a bit chewy. In addition, there are drinks prices that I find really outrageous. 2.90 for a small Kölsch people... overall just not for a cozy evening with special cuisine but rather something for event fans who find it special to make their own food.

I ate here on Gamescom Friday and of course it was incredibly full. Unfortunately, I have to say that the restaurant team handled it incredibly badly. All decisions were made by a single person, which is why we had to wait half an hour before we were even allowed to "fight" for a place, despite booking via Google. I had reserved for 5 people, but there was supposedly only one place available for 4 people. After some discussion we were allowed to sit down and from then on everything actually went very smoothly. You can order the food using a QR code on your cell phone, which I found very convenient. Despite the many guests, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The food was also really incredibly tasty! All in all, it's actually a nice restaurant if you don't necessarily want to eat here during Gamescom. :)

Nicely decorated store, but unfortunately that's about it: The bulgogi is a tasteless broth that completely eats up the marinade (if it was there at all) - a shame! The only authentic thing was the Gochujang sauce, it really takes your shoes off! 🔥 The starter was overpriced, the same goes for the drinks. It only gets two stars because the fried chicken at the next table looked pretty good - but for everything else I would recommend other restaurants.

The food was great, the service was problematic at best. The waiter brought the table grill and managed to spill our drinks and the sauce with it. He just left and we had to clean it up ourselves.

It's the worst. Koreans, don't go. I went with my foreign friends, and after 10 minutes of bringing the food, they brought me chopsticks and only gave me pork belly, but they didn't give me a grill, so I brought it and grilled it myself. The taste was below expectations. The staff seemed to have a part-time job and didn't even know how to use the burner.

I was really looking forward to my first visit, but was extremely disappointed. The service was very bad. We ordered bulgogi and were served meat. Unfortunately we didn't get a table grill and it took quite a while until it was delivered when we asked. Except for the draft beer, all drinks were served warm, cola, iced tea, bottled beer - that's not possible! The bulgogi was good, the rest, well. No recommendation from me!

Super delicious food and great service!

Believe me, don't visit this restaurant if you even care about service. Several things were simply forgotten, waiters made us wait half an hour to bring forgotten orders, staff were completely overwhelmed and rude. Food is ok but a joke compared to other Korean restaurants.

On average, expect to pay around 20 to 35 EUR per person, though this can increase if you order premium cuts of meat or a lot of extras. The food was okay and it's nice that there are vegetarian alternatives. However, it is a mystery to me why you have to order extra rice given the prices. Unfortunately the service was a disaster. Food and drinks were brought to us in the most random order, some of which we hadn't ordered. An hour must have passed between the person who got their food first and the last person. Normal drinks like Cola or Fanta were no longer available. Maybe it was the evening itself that didn't go so well, but I can't share the exclusively positive reviews.

We are quite disappointed after our visit. The food was good - the service was terrible. In addition to the very loud and unpleasantly hectic atmosphere in the restaurant, you had to wait a long time for service. The buttons on the table were consistently ignored. The meat came before the grill and dishes were set. The food didn't come together - the neighboring table was missing individual drinks and dishes for almost an hour. When asked, it was also explained to him that there was no longer any rice with Ssam. You now have to order this for 2€/head - which is not authentic for a Korean BBQ. The use of the grill was not explained. While eating you were unpleasantly splashed by oil. We had to wait a long time for the bill despite ringing 5 times via the button and QR code on the ordering website. Likewise, no one ever asked if everything was ok or if something was missing. Wouldn't come again.

Everything that could possibly have gone wrong here has gone wrong. We were first brought to a table, which at first glance showed that it had been inadequately cleaned. Leftover food on the chairs and very greasy table surfaces. Serving and cutlery were not brought after repeated requests and we ultimately had to serve ourselves. Drinks came without glasses and were only brought upon request. The same also applied to the BBQ gas grill, the grill plate, food plates, sauces and grill tongs. Overall, you can say that the service staff have no idea about their job and have been inadequately trained. There is an extra star for the one nice service person who was visibly overwhelmed, but always tried to bring us the things upon request. The grilled meat is completely pure without any marinade. You can easily prepare something like this at home without spending so much money. A few months earlier I had eaten at a very good Korean BBQ restaurant in Düsseldorf. There is a world of difference in terms of service and taste. Not only were small appetizers included free of charge, the lettuce leaves were also brought to the BBQ after repeated helpings at no additional cost. Conclusion: Save yourself the food here and eat straight away in Düsseldorf.

I was bored with German food, but I'm glad I found such delicious Korean food! ! The Korean owner was very friendly and loved Japan lol It was a great place to feel the bonds of Asia 🥰

Korean cuisine? Sure, why not? The best thing first, the food is very well seasoned, sometimes spicy 🥵 and extremely tasty. If you like well-seasoned food, you have to go here. Now you can't order everything, but if you look over the other tables and keep your nose in the air, you'll quickly realize that one visit won't be enough. The prices for the food are absolutely acceptable. Almost outrageous for the drinks. Orders are placed via cell phone or electronic table bell. A bit unusual (for me anyway). There were two of us and we had a nice table by the window that I had reserved online the day before. Here too (like the Indian one), every inch of the store is used and the music and the overall background noise were quite, well, loud. There are also plenty of outdoor spaces in front of the restaurant. Tapping Kölsch wasn't their strong point and you don't get served very quickly either. If you like to enjoy a drink with your meal, you should take appropriate precautions 😉 Conclusion: If you fancy meat in a different way and have a patient nature, you shouldn't miss it. Thumbs up 👍🏼 Addendum from 08/10/24 My rating remains. Unfortunately the WiFi was down that day and the service was a bit overwhelmed, but I'll chalk that up to a multi-moment recording. Hopefully not the rule. The boss was aware of this and made up for it with prices on the drinks that evening, thank you for that ❤️

Probably the worst restaurant in all of Germany. The furnishings may be modern, but they don't remind you at all of Korea. Some of the lettering has been hung upside down. The staff is not trained. The food is acceptable but has nothing to do with Korean. The processes are a joke, I get better advice from Burger King. After a certain time only cash was accepted. When we refused, we were allowed to pay by card... run as fast as you can otherwise you will be forced to give a 5 star rating on Google. Do us all a favor and close the store

The food looked and tasted good, but price-wise it was mid-range. The service was catastrophic, things were forgotten several times and you can forget about calling service via the app because they don't respond. Drinks were delivered warm and the BBQ had to wait for a long time because the service staff had forgotten the platter and plates that came with it. The ambience was so-so, right on the street and without a view of the Rhine, which couldn't explain the price of the food.

Unfortunately service was catastrophic. Unfortunately one of the waiters was very rude and unfriendly. The other waiter tried his best in moderation. There were five of us there for my birthday dinner and we had already expected that within 3 hours of plenty of food and drink we would be served at least once and not have to constantly get up and refill the water for the “hotpot” ourselves. So you didn't get to eat in a relaxed manner. It's certainly good for just something to eat if you have a dish and a drink. Food tastes good too. Not recommended for anything else. Unfortunately, despite reservations (confirmed online and by phone), no table was reserved….

I did not much enjoy my diner here. The waiters were inattentive, the food choice was limited and not worth the money in my opinion. The dishes were exceptionally greasy and the extra side portion of kimchy for 4€ wasn't more than a spoonful. I will not come back.

Food is actually very tasty. Service not good. Waited 1 hour for food only to hear that the WiFi wasn't working and you hadn't received your order. None of the waiters knew how to order correctly, who the boss was or what was in the food.

First of all, the food was good so I can't say anything negative. Unfortunately, the service was terribly unprofessional, slow and overall just bad. Furthermore, in the end we could only pay in cash because the “equipment was broken”. This can happen but should at least be mentioned before ordering. Overall, the restaurant would not be recommended.

Dont use their electronic menu! It does not have the correct information and they got angry because I ordered "wrong". Then they give me side dishes I didnt order (it wasnt obvious to me) and later take them away and get angry because I made them throw it (which I didnt). In the end I payed for one unordered item, not a big deal but with the rest of the service...

I really don’t understand how this place has good reviews. I am asking myself if these people have been to the same place I have been to. We were a group of 6 people, our food arrived 20 minutes apart from each other, they took long to bring the grill and the meat was left raw at the table. Not only this, we ordered drinks immediately when we arrived which took 40 minutes. The grill has a bad quality and we were splashed with hot oil the whole time. The grill needs water to be added to the sides almost every 20 minutes, and we have to wait for the staff to add water, who definitely did not stick to the time. The food was also average compared to the price. It was a very bad experience. Would never go there again.

Absolutely not recommended for us! The whole concept of ordering with a cell phone doesn't work at all. The waitresses didn't know the table numbers and wandered around "confused" and asked at virtually every table who had ordered the drink. Some drinks didn't arrive at all, or only some. Starters were also brought to the table one at a time so that not everyone could eat at the same time. A starter was forgotten. One glass was dirty and had to be replaced. Then the meat was put on the table when the outside temperature was 27 degrees, even though the grill wasn't even on the table. After 20 minutes we asked whether it was wanted for the meat to sit there unrefrigerated for a longer period of time and not be prepared. They said they would bring us the grill straight away and brought the meat back with them. Then came the grill and the rice and for a long time nothing at all. We then decided to leave the restaurant with the 7 people and only pay for the drinks and appetizers. It should also be noted that ALL 3 tables next to us also had something to complain about! So food/drinks were missing 4 times out of 4 tables. Making several major mistakes at 4 out of 4 tables when the catering is poor is really tough. The waitresses tried hard, but were completely overwhelmed by every situation. The boss came to the table and wanted to clarify it, but as already mentioned, nothing happened. In the price range in which this restaurant is located, you should definitely be able to expect a lot more!

Honestly very meh... The food portions were relatively small and considering the price I expected more.

Very bad experience. The service can hardly speak any German, everything is super impersonal. We were given rice and about 15 minutes later another portion of food arrived. It took over 20 minutes for the table grill (which they had to replace) to arrive. Of course the rice became cold and inedible. The service was super unfriendly and there was no explanation about the food (salt, oil and whatever was served). The second table grill went out and no one came to help us. After a few minutes the meat became inedible and we gave up eating. When asked what it was like, I responded negatively and there was no response.

On nice days you can sit outside, although the traffic on the busy street is sometimes very loud. The food is OK. Some dishes are brought on a stove and only finish cooking at the table. The waitresses are quite taciturn and only partially friendly. You order via your own phone and the food and drinks are then brought to you. Sometimes things are turned off without comment and without any communication. After paying, the waiter simply turned around without a word and walked away (without saying goodbye or thanking you for the tip, etc.). Good gastronomy definitely works differently.

I don't understand how this restaurant can have such a good rating. We received plates that were still wet from the wash, and glasses covered in fingerprints. Within 10 minutes, the servers broke 3 glasses in 3 different areas of the restaurant and left a piece of glass behind us, never noticing they were stepping on it. They all seemed overwhelmed. The reception was disastrous. We had reserved a table for 5 and still had to wait outside in the rain for 10 minutes before they told us to come in and sit at a table that hadn't even been cleared yet. When we sat down, no one explained how to order or the concept of the restaurant. I should note that we were a group of tourists and did not speak German. However, the menus were translated into English (online) and we were able to choose our dishes via an app. Now, let's talk about the dishes: Main ingredient: sugar. I hope you like sugar fries, sugary rice, and sugary chicken. Second ingredient: huge amounts of food. I felt like a pig being fattened before slaughter. Everything was greasy and heavy on the stomach. They didn't skimp on breadcrumbs or oil. The most paradoxical thing is that they market the restaurant as an excellent Korean BBQ place. However, the prices for 200 grams of meat were all at 23 euros. Meat you have to cook yourself on a hot plate (so not even the excuse of labor costs). Finally, and this wasn't mentioned outside the restaurant: To access these miserable 200 grams, a minimum of two people had to choose this barbecue option. Horrible experience, horrible service, greasy food that will give you diabetes. Portions are OK. But quantity does not equal quality.

Unfortunately the visit disappointed us. From a wobbly table (when we asked if we could put something under it, we were told that we could sit at another table 🤔 But since we wanted to sit there, a few beer mats were misplaced), to Much too sweet fried chicken, there were a few factors that kept us from coming back. Among other things, we were able to observe how a waiter cleaned a table by scraping leftover food from former guests onto one of the plates in the middle of the restaurant. This is something you do in the kitchen and not in front of the guests. We didn't ask if it tasted good and even when we asked for the bill, there was no question. Unfortunately, friendliness was missing. We were also surprised that the napkins were labeled with a different restaurant. All in all, the food was ok, but the rest doesn't make you want to linger.

I've been with you for the third time and I'm very satisfied. Please put the Ttok bokki rose back in! That is fine. Many thanks to the kitchen for preparing it for us even though it's no longer on the menu! A note if I may: the tables for two people are too small. This gets very tight quickly. I had a disappointing evening at this restaurant. I had actually planned a nice evening with friends and was really looking forward to it, but in the end I was really disappointed. We made it clear that we had never had Korean BBQ before and didn't know what to consider. I actually wanted a short explanation, which didn't come. The staff repeatedly emphasized that we should just order everything online using the QR code because they didn't seem to want to interact with guests. We had a snail in the salad, the meat was tough and very mixed and we had to keep pointing it out to the staff ourselves when the water at the grill was empty instead of the waiters themselves being attentive. The music was way too loud and the waiters were unfriendly. Overall it was an expensive and bad experience, would never go there again.

My first visit to a Korean restaurant. The ambience was harmonious and initially made a good impression. Unfortunately, it took a while until people noticed us at the entrance. The menu had a good selection of different dishes. The drink selection wasn't quite as diverse. I ordered a Coco Palm for €3.40 and was handed a 0.25 liter can, which was hard to understand. Disappointing because that's not what I go to a restaurant for. Not even freshly prepared and served. A no go. Food came unusually quickly a few minutes after the drinks. For two guests, the food was actually left out quite carelessly without asking who had what. The quality was okay and not objectionable. However, the dish wasn't really hot. The salads we ordered (seaweed and fern-stewed cabbage) were okay. The service overall was not good and inattentive, almost disinterested. A pity. So we left straight after the meal, €53 poorer. We didn't want to have a second drink there. Overall, we were more disappointed and can therefore not recommend the restaurant. A pity.

The food came relatively early, but the teriyaki chicken was so sweet from the honey that I didn't finish more than half of it. The glasses were also dirty and you had to ask for cutlery to get something.

Very good food and great ambience. The dishes are fresh and the portions are excellent for the price. The salmon teriyaki was delicious. You will be warmly welcomed and looked after by the staff. We recommend.

Worst service I've ever seen. Everyone stands around and does anything but provide service. In my opinion, the dishes were way too spicy and difficult to enjoy. After dinner, no one came to clear up, so we sat in front of our dirty dishes for 40 minutes. Music was so loud that it was difficult to have a relaxed conversation. Clearly NOT recommended to eat here. Go anywhere else but here.

Nice atmosphere, the food was very tasty, the service was a bit behind, some things, such as plates, rice🤦, only came upon request. And that even though the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. But it didn't spoil the evening.

Service is a total disgrace as a Korean restaurant. Didn't bring any cutlery, the chicken was overly sweet. Never going back there again, and will not recommend it. The Korean traditional house picture on the wall is posted upside down. Might have asked someone who knows nothing about Korean Hanok. Speaks a lot about the professionalism.

This is Gangnam Style that I always believe in! Everything is delicious!!

We recently went to Gangnamstyle again - the food is fantastic and the prices are appropriate for the quality. Unfortunately, the service was not suitable for the price structure. I completely understand when new employees don't do everything right on the first day. But we really tried several times to get the waitress's attention - by waving, by pressing a button at the table... nothing happened. So drinks remained unordered - the water in the grill evaporated twice and was not refilled. We ordered a drink, it was out and couldn't be provided...then it showed up again on the bill. The music was set very loudly at times, so it was only possible to have a limited conversation during that time slot. Nothing wrong, maybe just a bad day for the restaurant. We will try this again in the next few months...in the hope that it will return to the usual quality.

The oil stains on the table are clearly visible. The insect carcasses wrapped in dust in the cutlery box will be your first appetizer. A plate of frozen meat of less than 200 grams will charge you more than 40 euros. You will be taken advantage of and get out of here.

The food was not authentic Korean at all and had nothing to do with Korea. The reviews are misleading. The rice was borderline! Muddy! If the rice was not completely soft, it was almost liquid and the shape of the rice grain was no longer visible. Service seemed very unfriendly. The waitress wasn't interested in whether you really liked the food and just asked routinely. When the food was served the receipt was ON the food and the food was just left on the table, disorganized and disinterested. Anyone who loves and knows Korean food has come to the wrong place. We only ate 1/4 of the food. That's really a pity!!!
