Too expensive for the quality. The service could be friendlier.

The food was delicious. The only problem seems to be that the waiters start clearing the table while someone is still eating. That's absolutely unacceptable. That's why I'm deducting two stars.

This restaurant makes you feel like you're in Italy. The restaurant is located on a quiet street corner, so sitting outside is also nice. The staff is friendly, and I love the blackboard with the current menu. Our friend had octopus on salad, and we had pasta and pizza, which were also very good.

A brilliant Italian performance here in Britz! There was linguine with chanterelle mushrooms, a pizza with scampi, a grilled sea bream, salads, and a great wine – absolutely everything was excellent, skillfully prepared, both classic and modern, like the pizzas in that large, flat stone-baked format. There was also plenty of flavor, just as you'd expect. We'll gladly come back here for birthday parties and more upscale occasions, but also for a great meal in between. One thing I would like to see improved: although we're not big eaters, we find the portions of pasta dishes to be significantly too small. Otherwise, it's always very nice here.

Overall tasty, I found the portion of "noodles with salmon" to be rather small for the money. If you put that in relation to how big the pizzas are, for example... There was a lot of salmon in it but overall I wasn't actually full. Cute shop otherwise. A bit tight for large groups, unfortunately.

The food is authentic and very tasty. With changing daily menu. Danger of bullet belly. 😉 The waiters sometimes chat up the regulars, so new guests have to fight for their attention. But since it's worth a repeat visit, it's done quickly.

Vaya, hemos comido aquí 3 o 4 veces en el pasado y fue excelente. Nuestra última visita fue mediocre en el mejor de los casos. Sacaron nuestras cenas antes de nuestros aperitivos y la carne de mi hija estaba CRUDA en el medio! Mi lasaña era sopa y pequeña. Les daré una cosa, hacen las mejores caponatas fuera de Sicilia. Los camareros no estaban interesados. Vamos chicos que pueden hacerlo mejor.

The food was very tasty, would be happy to come again at any time. The service was very questionable at times, orders were not served properly and requests were ignored. Either it was because the waiter wanted to remember everything or simply because of the massive volume in the store.

Pizza wasn't good in my opinion. Passata was middle class, dough not fluffy and dry. In connection with sharp cutlery, several people at our table fought with the pizza rather than enjoying it. Overall, the price level did not correspond to the taste level.

Hey! Dear guests and dear readers! Went to this nice restaurant as usual. All well and good, service has been good so far. Visited very often, but never again after this supper! A warm summer evening in June, few guests and a table for two. Ordered a pizza with buffalo mozzarella and a pasta with shrimp. The service, which usually brought bread and olives without being asked, had to be asked about five times that evening. There was stale bread in the basket and “mushy” olives. This was a total surprise to me, as everything else was always good. We'll skip the appetizer for now, as the baby calamari would rather live on than be so poorly prepared. The pasta was very strongly seasoned, had a bad fishy smell and the shrimp were not deveined. The pizza sauce was very over salted and the dough was so soggy that you couldn't even cut the pizza. We looked for the waiter in vain, whereupon the cook appeared. When asked about the problems, he came to our table. The chef should take a look at the pizza that my companion had lying in front of him, which was over-salted. He then took his persistent sausage finger straight through the pizza with the sauce on his finger into his mouth and said that this pizza wasn't oversalted at all. The chef made sure that the pizza sauce wasn't too salty. The sight made me sick. It was unbearable. I was then also asked to take my finger to try the sauce, but I was suspicious of seeing my finger in another pizza. I said no and pointed out to the chef that he should take the slice of pizza with him because he had insisted on having his sausage finger in it. (I hope) misunderstood by me, he said: “No, no, you can eat the piece.” We asked him several times that he should take the slice of pizza with him because it was inedible. The waiter came over and asked what the problem was, whereupon we explained it to him. He took the food and charged us for everything and we left the restaurant with thin wallets and empty stomachs. There are good days in this restaurant, but the disappointment was so great that the bad outweighed the good. The customer is definitely not the first priority here, but rather the last.

Unfortunately, this was the worst lasagne I have ever eaten. My husband also didn't think his sliced ​​beef was worth the price. The pizza was OK. It's very nice to sit outside. The food was served and then we didn't see any more waiters, no questions asked if we would like something more to drink. We also had to ask for the bill first. We weren't offered a small schnapps either, but at the neighboring tables they were.

It's right in our neighborhood and is therefore within walking distance for us. The atmosphere is always great and Italian. I like this very much. But I was disappointed last time, everything tasted a bit bland and unseasoned. Some pizzas have dried oregano? sprinkled over it. None of us liked it that much, it didn't taste any better, and my daughter didn't like it at all. My son's pizza was pretty black underneath. It is quite expensive for that. We paid an average of €13-15 for a pizza, and 2 slices of bruscetta for €4.50 isn't cheap either. We were a larger group and paid around €300, but everything had to fit, unfortunately it didn't this time.

Enjoyed lunch there for the first time. Sat outside on the terrace. Food (bruschetta, Pizza & calzone) and wine were delicious. Friendly and attentive staff. Lovely spot to spend an afternoon, quiet and pretty. Looking forward to visiting again with friends.

The Gallo Nero restaurant is an Italian restaurant. There is a nice terrace where you can sit outside. The food is very tasty. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, yet discreetly in the background. I was there with a friend. We had a lot to tell each other. We were only asked if we had any further wishes when we looked at the staff. We will come back there again. The prices are moderate.

Unfortunately no longer recommended. Overall, the food tastes pretty good as long as you don't order pizza. However, the service is extremely unfriendly and makes you feel unwelcome. The service is neither courteous nor interested in good service. I used to enjoy visiting the restaurant often, but I will avoid it in the future.

Full 5* for the food, the service and the ambience. Certainly not cheap, but absolutely justified. We had beef fillet with chanterelles and baby turbot in sage butter. Both are a culinary delight. We found our new favorite Italian here today 👍👍

Good Italian food a little on top of standard. (Saltimbocca ok, but without love for the really good taste) ... see photo. Service slow and not aware. (Even after politely reminding and directly walking to the bar, raising "we are really thirsty and we wait >20mins" When do you take the order? Indoor ambiente: Tables too close. Not inviting nor cosy. Music too loud.

I would recommend it to anyone who likes Italian cuisine. excellent restaurant with excellent food. I ate gnocchi with truffles and I really got truffles and no truffles. Gnocchi are filled with cheese. excellent combination. Thanks!

Edit: This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Berlin, but the quality has gone down significantly for the price of the food. The same seafood pasta now has much smaller shrimp (baby shrimp vs. the prawns they used to serve) with a smaller portion, for a higher price. Service is also not the same as it was. What a shame. This place is seriously amazing. One of the top two restaurants in Berlin with a beautiful patio and sociable staff. Although this place used to be my neighbor, now I travel 4,000 miles just to eat here ❤️

Driven past often, finally stopped there and was more than satisfied. Great welcome and very attentive service. The menu leaves nothing to be desired and you are spoiled for choice. In the end I decided on a simple lasagna that was delicious. Octopus, pizza and various other dishes were also ordered and everyone expressed satisfied words of appreciation. In short, a successful evening. Really recommended, even if the prices are a little higher. I'll definitely come back

However, the potatoes were cold - almost raw inside - and the meat was noticeably beyond the "medium" status ordered. The taste and tailoring experience also suffered as a result. I also missed little "gimmicks" like rosemary on the potatoes or a little spice on the vegetables. So the dish seemed very monotonous and mediocre and well thought out. + + + General + + + Volume - 4/5 Split - 3/5 Service - 3/5 Friendliness - 3/5 Note: The restaurant is nicely decorated, with pasta bags and lots of wine bottles on wall shelves. All in all the visit was fine. It wasn't a complete disappointment, but it doesn't stand out either.

Very good food, both pizza and pasta. A starter for one person is also enough for two if you want to eat a main course. The desserts are also very good, the tiramisu was a bit too creamy for me. Prices are a bit high for Berlin. Still a total of 5 points. Gladly again...😊

I ordered a pizza funghi with extra spicy salami to take away. I reheated the pizza briefly because my wife didn't get home from work until later. This salami was horrible, it tasted rancid (i.e. old), after calling the restaurant they suddenly couldn't understand me anymore. I said at least they should try them to keep other guests away from the experience. So that was the last time, at these prices I also demand quality.

A very nice place in a good area. Portions large and tasty. The owner was very nice. You can pay by credit card. A person in a wheelchair could enter the restaurant, which was also a plus. Free parking nearby.

Einer der besten Italiener im Süden von Berlin. Hier gibt es sehr leckeres sizilianisches Essen und italienisches Moretti Bier.

Ein Berlin-Besuch ohne ein Abendessen hier….undenkbar. War auch gestern Abend wieder ein Genuss.

Authentische italienische Küche zu fairen Preisen!

Süßes Lokal mit gutem Essen. Die Zutaten waren frisch und die Speisen waren super abgeschmeckt. Leider wurde uns im Gegensatz zu dem Nachbartisch kein Espresso/Schnaps nach der Abrechnung angeboten (trotz angemessen Trinkgeldes). Vielleicht ist das auch nur ein Stammgast-Bonus, es kam allerdings dennoch nicht gut an.

Innerhalb 1 Woche haben wir das Lokal 2x besucht. Jedes Mal war die Bedienung ungeduldig und unfreundlich, es fehlte an Empathie für ältere Gäste. Sehr enttäuschend, zumal wir das Lokal empfohlen bekommen haben.

INSALATA STRACCETTI - leider nicht das, was in der Karte steht. Statt "Streifen" vom argentinischen Rind zwei große Minutensteaks, völlig durchgebraten und trocken, ungewürzt, bedeckt von großen Parmesanscheiben auf einem Berg von schlecht angemachtem Salat, vermutlich irgendeine Fertigvinegrette. Pinienkerne ungeröstet. So schlechte Küche, der Koch muss frei gehabt haben. Die Deko fiel dem Kellner schon vorher von dem Berg runter. Für ein falsch serviertes Essen kein Wort der Entschuldigung. Das war früher viel besser. Schade.

Die Preise sind gepfeffert aber alles schmeckt sehr lecker.

Einfach ein sehr gutes Restaurant. Es gibt rundwegs nichts zu meckern. Man sitzt hier schön, der Service klappt gut, das Essen ist gut, der Wein ist gut. Und die Preise sind für das Angebot sehr angemessen.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Leider sind die Kellern nicht sehr freundlich. Das Girschirr hat schon bessere Tage gesehen. An allen Tellern sind mehrere abgeplatzte Stellen. Mit den Messer lassen sind die Pizzen sehr schlecht schneiden.

Der Italiener ist nicht mehr. Es handelt sich um ein tolles vietnamesische Restaurant.

Nicht wirklich der willkommenste Empfang aber auch nicht sonderlich schlecht. Essen hat gut geschmeckt und waren super Portionen! Es ist wirklich schön dort bei warmem Wetter zu sitzen und sein Essen mit der Familie zu genießen. Allerdings war das Essen auch nicht sonderlich herrausragend für den Preis. Ein normal gutes Restaurant :)

Super Pizza, guter Aperol, der Tartuffo könnte etwas gefrorener sein aber sonst alles sehr sehr lecker. Authentisch italienische Bedienung. Ich mag sowas :))

Had a lovely dinner with five family members at an outside table. A nephew joined us about an hour later for our long and leisurely meal. We enjoyed some digestives before walking home. Gallo Nero was a halfway point (10 minute walk) between our hotel and my nephew. The food was enjoyed by all of us and the staff were charming. Highly recommend.

Rundum 4 Sterne weil es an sich ein guter laden ist den man empfehlen kann. Kellner sind nett und auch wirklich alles Italiener 👍 Thunfisch Salat war sehr lecker und groß sodass man auch satt wird. Außerdem hatten wir eine Salami Pizza die auch gut war nur die Salami war nicht mein Fall was aber Geschmackssache ist.

Kurzentschlossen eingekehrt und wegen der Sonne draußen Platz genommen. Zum Service kamen an dem Spätnachmittag/Abend nacheinander 4 unterschiedliche Kellner an unseren Tisch....Die bestellten Spaghetti mit Trüffel aus dem Parmesanlaib wurden in der Küche gefertigt- aber leider dort nicht im Parmesanlaib bereitet- (mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass man draußen nicht im Parmesanlaib zubereitet, ich erwartete dennoch, dass es dann eben drinnen und nicht in der Küche ohne Parmesanlaib zubereitet werden würde ). Vor dem Servieren wurde sicherlich noch warmgestellt, denn die Pasta klebte komplett zusammen und war nicht so locker, wie ich sie kenne...Ich wunderte mich auch über die helle Soße, die eher untypisch für dieses Gericht ist. Ambiente drinnen sehr schön. Speisekarte bietet viel und liest sich gut, recht hochpreisig.

Super leckere Pizza, toller Antipasti Teller, sehr guter und immer freundlicher Service! Zwar durchaus etwas teurer, aber das wirklich gute und frische Essen ist es auch wert. Außerdem kann man entspannt auf der Terrasse sitzen.

Un buon locale dove si gusta una buona pizza è una buona cucina sia italiana che non. Come locale italiano uno dei migliori in cui abbiamo cenato. Menù vario e prodotti di buona qualità con pizza sia a pranzo che a cena, qualche proposta a base di pesce, ottima varietà e disponibilità di vini anche di ottima qualità. Possibilità smodi poter approfittare di una giornata di sole per gustare il pranzo anche all’ esterno grazie alla presenza di un buona disponibilità di tavoli all’esterno per un bella veranda esterna. Buon caffe, ottima scelta di grappe. Un po’ caro nel rapporto qualità prezzo ma sai quando ti alzi soddisfatto tutto passa in secondo piano. Non sto dicendo che mangerete in un ristorante stellato ma mangerete e, sicuramente, non per riempire lo stomaco. Queste sono le sensazioni che ho avuto tutte le volte che ho mangiato in questo locale.

Bedienung ok, Ambiente auch. Pizzen nur Durchschnitt .Die ' Kalbsleber vom Grill' für 28€ war unterirdisch.. Fast nur Sehnengezadder; auf unsere Beschwerde nur ein schmales:"Schade" des Kellners. Weitere Besuche nicht geplant. Enttäuschender Abend, schade.

Waren heute kurzentschlossen da. Wurden freundlich begrüßt. Keiner Tipp am Wochenende ab 18h reservieren. Tolles Essen, toller Wein, einfach ein toller Italiener!!!! Danke

Es gibt sie noch, die italienischen Restaurants die auf die Qualität ihrer Speisen setzten, einen guten Wein haben, eine abwechslungsreiche Tageskarte, einen netten Service. Im Sommer mit Platz draußen, innen im gepflegten Ambiente. Gerne wieder dahin.

Man muss es mögen, netter bemühter Service, persönliche Atmosphäre..... irgendwie etwas von intim.....

Wir hatten kurzfristig reserviert und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, schönes Ambiente und sehr angenehme Atmosphäre, die Kellner waren alle sehr nett ,freundlich und auch sehr gut gelaunt, das Essen war hervorragend und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, sind dann am nächsten Abend wieder zum Essen gewesen und werden beim nächsten Berlin Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall wiederkommen
