Stopped in here for a meal on New Year’s Day and the food did not disappoint. We ordered two soups (Russian borscht) and the pork skewers with French fries and rice. The borscht, skewers, and fries were excellent; the rice was a little hard but still flavorful. Docking one star because we were charged 3.50 euros each for hot water with a lemon wedge, which is just… come on… 7 euros for two lemon wedges? Nonetheless, the food was delicious for the most part, and we appreciate that the restaurant was open today.

The Galija has been one of our regular restaurants for years. We already knew the previous owner. The menu is generous and extensive, and typical German dishes are also offered. Hardly any changes and always friendly staff, which speaks for the restaurant management. A restaurant where everything is right and you always enjoy visiting.

Traditional decor. Nice and clean. Lots of details to discover for a relatively short waiting time.

I'm 57 years old and I could say I grew up with it...the price is still reasonable and the service is also very good...it's good that you're still there at this time...

The food is still delicious, there is also a small salad beforehand, which unfortunately had a lot of sauce on it. What we noticed, however, was that when we entered the restaurant, neither the boss (standing at the counter) nor the boss (sitting at the round table, busy with her cell phone, as always) didn't look at you ‼️ Very unprofessional ‼️ Are we disturbing the guests❓️ Let's see if and when we will try it again here. After all, there are sooooo many other very good Yugos in Berlin (see my other reviews 😉)

Impression:/ Wheelchairs not welcome. The shop was (almost) empty. We wanted to eat and drink there after the Christmas market. At first we were welcome, but when the wheelchair access lanes appeared, everything was suddenly reserved, without any effort. The live occupancy at 3:30 p.m. said "hardly attended" - well - bad luck.

Great restaurant! Delicious food, great atmosphere, super friendly and attentive staff, who sometimes crack a joke and seem to really enjoy their work :) The boss is also super nice. We always feel warmly welcome there and a bit like at home ;) in summer you can also sit outside. Can highly recommend this restaurant!!

Price performance good. Nice service and clean shop. We like to come here for family celebrations. Update today October 3rd, 2024. We were there again and I have to say it was even better than usual. The food was great and there was no extra charge for small changes such as fried potatoes instead of boiled potatoes etc. I know this differently from other restaurants. We were all very satisfied and will be back soon.

Every year my aunt celebrates her birthday with you. Large family celebration for 40 people. It's always delicious and even when the store is completely full, your service is top notch, thank you very much

We waited over half an hour for a table. So we had already ordered drinks. When we wanted to leave because of the very long waiting time, the boss said the drinks were on the house. Suddenly a table became available and was offered to us. When I paid the bill after dinner, the free drinks promised by the boss were still on the bill. The boss justified this with “they stayed, so it doesn’t count anymore”. The food was okay, but I would advise everyone to spend their money elsewhere.

Am I a folk medallion? I ate it and it was very delicious. Among the top 3 things I ate in Berlin over the past few days~ There is also outdoor seating, and the cool breeze was blowing and the atmosphere was great!

Old and friendly family company with high quality products. It has the feel of an old fishing village restaurant. The owners always have a smile on their face. A shop with a feel-good factor, highly recommended.

Grosses Restaurant mit diversen Außenplätzen, sind allerdings durch den Straßenverkehr teilweise recht laut. Das Essen ist durchaus zu empfehlen, Qualität und Quantität sind ok. Der Service ist aufmerksam, die Preise durchschnittlich.

The food is really great, the pork chops in particular were very juicy because they were cut thicker. In every other Croatian restaurant they were usually like the soles of a shoe because they were cut very thin. The portions are enough to fill you up. Replacing some components wasn't a problem either. The service was friendly and attentive. There are also plenty of seats outside. We'll definitely be back!

Oh, we were so hungry when we found this amazing place. First of all, our waiter was incredibly nice and helped us with the menu. Secondly, the portions were huge and, most importantly, very delicious. I totally recommend it!

Situado cerca de Schloss Charlottenburg, Galija resultó ser un muy buen lugar para disfrutar de un almuerzo tardío. Tuve espárragos con huevos revueltos y Rote Gruetze de postre: muy sabroso.

Very good food never been disappointed with service or food. Was there the first time in 1996 and since then I take a trip every time/year I'm here. Croatian restaurant

First, the fries! French fries? Yes, fries, in many restaurants side dishes are often included. These fries alone are a reason to eat there. I had the baby calamari, which was almost juicy compared to other restaurants. The spinach was delicious and I mentioned the fries. The 0.2 wine glass was well filled above the calibration mark and at the end there was a coffee or schnapps on the house.

I was there for the first time. I was surprised by the great ambience, my mouth was watering just from studying the menu. Since there were four of us, we decided on a mixed platter for three people 🤭 And, it was tasty and sufficient. There was even something left… I'll go there again!!!

Essen eher mittelmäßig - wir hatten Tintenfisch und Grillteller - beim Tintenfisch wollten wir mediterranes Gemüse statt Blattspinat - gekommen ist Tk Gemüse mit Brokkoli , Blumenkohl und Zuckerschoten — Das Tk Gemüse war innen kalt - auf Nachfrage beim Kellner das , das Gemüse nichts mit mediterranen Gemüse zu tun hat - gab es als Antwort — was sei hier nicht Tk -der Kellner fungiert für seinen Chef eher als Konkursbeschleuniger mit solchen Aussagen - Auf dem Grillteller war das gleiche Tk Gemüse und das Fleisch war lauwarm - Der Kellner der als Konkursbeschleuniger für seinen Chef fungiert fühlte sich auch noch auf den Schlips getreten weil wir uns darüber beschwert haben - und teilte das in seiner Sprache der Barfrau mit - nur dumm das wir das verstehen . Das kann ich keinem empfehlen aus Mann steht auf Tiefkühlkost.

The food was rather mediocre - we had squid and a grilled plate - with the squid we wanted Mediterranean vegetables instead of leaf spinach - what arrived was frozen vegetables with broccoli, cauliflower and snow peas - the frozen vegetables were cold inside - when we asked the waiter that, the vegetables had nothing to do with Mediterranean vegetables has to do - was the answer - what isn't Tk here - the waiter acts more like a bankruptcy accelerator for his boss with such statements - There were the same frozen vegetables on the grill plate and the meat was lukewarm - The waiter, who acts as a bankruptcy accelerator for his boss, also felt offended because we complained about it - and told his barmaid about it - when we left the restaurant - without saying anything.

An amazing restaurant equipped with great staff and yummy food. The restaurant had a very pleasant vibe that was enhanced by the cordial and hospitable nature of all the staff. The food was delicious and surely something you must try. Since it was Christmas eve , though full, every effort was made to accommodate us as well as check on us, time to time, to ensure we were ok. We were also offered shots on the house due to the festive atmosphere which was a nice initiative. Overall very pleased and will surely be visiting again.

Es ist hier wie vor 30 Jahren, als ich das letzte mal dort war. Das Essen ist super gut und die Portionen sind mehr als großzügig. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam und professionell. Ich bleibe jetzt Stammgast 😃

Gemütliches rustikales, Ambiente, sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service. Große Auswahl an Fleischgerichen sehr lecker, große Fischauswahl. Preis Leistung stimmt

Leider hat uns das Restaurant sehr enttäuscht. Wir hatten für eine größere Gruppe reserviert und sogar das Essen vorbestellt. Wir saßen leider alle an unterschiedlichen Tischen und nicht zusammen (obwohl dies möglich gewesen wäre). Und dann kam auch noch an den gleichen Tischen das essen nicht gleichzeit sondern ziemlich unterschiedlich an (obwohl wir ja vorbestellt hatten). Darüber hätte man hinweg sehen können aber der Kellner war absolut unfreundlich. Als er fragte was wir trinken wollen fragten wir nach der Karte; für 10 leute bekamen wir 2 Karten. Er war sehr unfreundlich und ungeduldig. Höflichkeit schien ihm auch fremd. Einzig die junge Kollegin bemühte sich um guten Service. Auch über das essen selbst kann ich leider nicht viel gutes sagen. Das Hähnchen mit Salat war eine kleine Portion mit nichts mehr außer Huhn, Gurke Tomate und Eisbergsalat. Geschmacklich in Ordnung aber hatte eher die Qualität eines Beilagensalates statt eines Hauptgerichts. Die Gemüsepfanne war Gemüse in viel Tomatensoße und der einzige Geschmack kam vom Käse, Gewürze fehlten und ein Stück Brot wäre schön gewesen. Das Essen hatte wenig Restaurant Qualität was ich sehr schade fand. Und zum Abschluss noch die Überraschung, dass man hier nur Bar zahlen kann. Es tut mir sehr leid aber wir hatten hier keine gute Erfahrung und werden dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen.

Ich komme schon seit über 20 Jahren regelmäßig in dieses Restaurant. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr gut. Ich kann dieses Lokal wärmstens empfehlen. Hier stimmt noch das Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis.

Essen ist sehr lecker, Portionen sind sehr großzügig. Personal ist auch sehr nett. Ambiente ist ganz schön, wenn man draußen sitzt merkt man nun mal das eine Straße daran vorbei geht. Beeinträchtigt aber meiner Meinung nach den Restaurantbesuch nicht. Würde jederzeit wieder kommen.

Gut aber auch nicht überragend. Ist halt auch kein Sterne-Restaurant.

Einer der ältesten Kroaten in Berlin. Nach wie vor super.

Veoma prijatno osoblje, hrana ukusna, prijatna atmosfera u restoranu.

Es ist eigentlich eine erste Adresse der kroatischen Restaurants in Berlin und auch relativ gut besucht, dennoch sind die Speisen nicht das was ich erwartet habe. Nehmen wir die kroatischen Spezialitäten einmal beiseite, die ganz ordentlich produziert werden, wenn auch mediteran überwürzt, dann bleiben z.B. Schnitzel, die keine sind, sondern aufgeklappte Schweinerückenlachse, wie fast überall, und viel zu dick und zu schwach gewürzt. Die Currywürste sind gebratene Bockwürste mit Ketschup und ohne Currygewürz (so etwas habe ich noch nirgends vorgesetzt bekommen). Das ist schon sehr traurig, neben den faden Pommes Frites, zu denen man Majo extra bestellen muss. Dann ist die Bedienung viel zu selten am Tisch bei den Gästen, wenn auch nett, aber im Thresenbereich mehr mit sich selbst und dem Handy beschäftigt. Der sehr mufflige Chef ist nur mit sich selbst beschäftigt und maßlos überlaut bestimmend. Getränkebestellungen dauern auch viel zu lange und Essenbestellungen noch länger. Auch sehr komisch, das eingedeckte Tische an den man Platz nimmt vom Kellner wieder abgedeckt werden (Besteck und Servietten), denn hier will ja bestimmt keiner was essen, ohne gefragt zu haben. Das ist schon ein dolles Ding und geht gar nicht. Die Kultur des Servierens leidet zunehmend an Fachkompetenz. Was soll's, wem's gefällt!? Mir in dem Falle nicht!

Schöne Räumlichkeiten sauber mit dunkler maritimer Dekoration elegant und einladend. Dazu ausgezeichnetes Essen und sehr höfliche seviceorientierte Bedienung. Geheimtip sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Ein klassisches Spezialitätenrestaurant der guten alten Art. Essen top, Service top, Ambiente wie man es von früher kennt. Hier ist die Zeit stehen geblieben - auf eine positive Art. Unbedingt einen Besuch wert.

Von aussen eher unscheinbares Restaurant, das sich im Innenraum seit vielen Jahrzehnten nicht verändert zu haben scheint. Die Bedienung ist schnell und freundlich, das Angebot der günstigen Speisekarte ist unerwartet groß, die Speisen werden heiß serviert und schmecken sehr gut.
