Unfriendly staff Bad food Not recommended.

We were here in the restaurant today on December 23rd, 2024 at around 2:15 p.m. We were next in line, but the older gentleman at the service served the man who was clearly behind us. I don't know if that was because of our origins or something else. When we were the only ones left in line, neither the gentleman nor the woman at the waitress asked for our order. Instead we would be left standing there, that's not possible at all.

Today I tried the curry sausage with fries and coleslaw. I couldn't get anything off the plate and threw it away entirely, which is something I never normally do, especially not with meat. But that was inedible. Price performance was not given! I also noticed that the bratwurst with sauerkraut was left on many plates. Should be something to think about!

It's a shame we didn't read the review before eating Curywurst with fries! No, let it stand! Sausage = lukewarm fries .. for 3 portions a handful were freshly fried in the deep fryer mixed with the old lukewarm/cold ones and served like that .. sauce?? Tasteless red something... looked and tasted to me like cheap ketchup diluted with water and then kept warm over a water bath! Coleslaw - so bitter that you'll want to leave it on your plate! THE ONLY POSITIVE THING IS THE SIZE OF THE SAUSAGE but not justified for the price!

Here you get good food at reasonable prices. Clean restaurant and pleasant employees. Patio with a great view!

WOW what happened to the good breakfast offer? We went there for breakfast today and it was shockingly bad :( The breakfast offering has shrunk from 100% to what feels like 10%. In other words, hardly any choice of spreads etc… The sausages and chicken wings were totally dry… That wouldn't be so bad if it hadn't been for the completely rock-hard rolls. Kind of disappointing because you could have had a great breakfast there a few years ago…

The restaurant itself is a typical, outdated department store cafeteria with the usual range of ready-made and frozen goods. I thought you can't go wrong with currywurst and fries - wrong. The sausage was briefly rolled back and forth in the grill pan and had the appropriate temperature and consistency. The fries consisted of more fat than potatoes, and the potato parts had plenty of black spots. The whole thing was crowned with a ladle of coleslaw from the bucket, served on a small plate, so that at least the eye eating with you thinks that it is full. I definitely won't allow myself this pleasure a second time.

Unfortunately I have to give an extremely bad rating for the food. Today I ordered and ate the Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes. The meat was definitely an industrial "pressed product" and the sauce from the "bag" had a terrible aftertaste that lasted a long time. Charging €13.95 for such a dish is more than presumptuous. Thanks, but I will never go there again.

You can go out to eat very well after a shopping trip or eat/drink coffee and cake.

The crispy fried fish with colorful potato salad only exists on advertising media in department stores. Normal fried fish is served with normal potato salad for the same price. Such bait-and-switch offers are out of date!

Opens at 10 a.m. and at 10.30 a.m. already no rolls, scrambled eggs Mett hardly any selection of sausages and cheeses. When asked, the answer was bluntly that the rolls needed another 10 minutes .... and they hadn't made enough rolls because there wasn't much going on the day before .... Please, what kind of statement is that? We definitely won't be coming back! !

Overall rating. I would love to go there again and again. Pretty good for a department store restaurant.

I had a very good meal with friends today. The dishes were very tasty, unfortunately a bit too cold, this is actually NOT ALLOWED. WHERE IS THE COMMERCIAL SUPERVISION?

Ein Restaurant über den Dächern von Kiel, gehobene Preise, Service und Qualität normaler durchschnitt. Der Blick Richtung Hafen und Stadt ist Top.

Absolut tolles hausgemachtes Essen

Hühnerfrikassee war zu teuer für die Portion und geschmeckt hat es auch nicht

Ein Restaurant was Erinnerungen von früher bis heute für mich persönlich erzählt und ein meiner Lieblings Orte in Kiel ist und hoffentlich noch viele Jahre weiter

Hatte ein leckeres Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes für 13;90€. Vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung.

Wie immer war der Service sehr freundlich und nett. Das allein finde ich toll. Die Sache mit dem Service Roboter ist witzig.

Großes barrierefreies Selbstbedienungs-Restaurant im EKZ Holstentörn in der Kieler Innenstadt. Bekannt, beliebt und daher gerne besucht. Einrichtung ordentlich und sauber. Bei gutem Wetter kann man auch draußen sitzen. Begehrt sind die Sitzplätze im Wintergarten mit toller Aussicht über Kiel. Gute Auswahl für Frühstück, Mittagessen, sowie Kaffee und Kuchen. Wir haben Spargel und Currywurst gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Gute Portionen, prima Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal: An der Kasse bekommt man eine Karte, die man auf dem Tisch liegen läßt. So weiss die fleissige Reinigungskraft, welche Tische nach dem Besuch gereinigt werden müssen.

Wir waren vor einigen Jahren schon mal hier… die Aussicht ist toll, das Essen ist ok und nicht zu teuer…

Ich bin schon seid Jahrzehnten Gast hier,schon damals Am Alten Markt war ich gerne im Restaurant und komme immerwieder gerne hierher zurück. Warum? Weil es soetwas gut wie garnicht mehr gibt,das Restaurant hat gut bürgerlichen Charme, das Personal ist nett , freundlich,hilfsbereit und das Essen ist gut! Komme immer wieder gerne hier her!!!!!
