Firstly, this restaurant has major food safety concerns. After dining here, some of us experienced stomach pain and diarrhea later that night and the next day. Secondly, the restaurant charged us unreasonably. We were charged for the rice for 40€ for 10 people, however, we were not told when we were ordering the food and it does not show on the menu as well. When we questioned the bill, the owner responded by shouting at us with extremely rude and harsh words, showing no respect for customers.

We were here for the first time today. The service staff was very friendly and the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. We'd love to come back :).

Tastes are different. Maybe it used to be good, but I've never eaten as bad as I did there. We paid €20.00 for 2 soups that were a joke in terms of the portions, plus 750ml of still water for €7.50.... The waitress (owner) was so unfriendly and constantly let her mood out to the waitress and literally shouted at her. I felt very sorry for the poor thing, she was so friendly but very intimidated. The owner, on the other hand, was also very friendly, but we still felt very uncomfortable and, to be honest, felt left out. And just wanted to leave. I don't recommend anyone to dine there. I can't understand how people are currently writing good reviews for this restaurant. I think service, food and value for money should be right.

We were there for the hot pot and we really had a lot of fun. The service was very friendly. The food is easily enough for 4 people, from meat to seafood, vegetables and pasta, everything is there. You can also mix the sauces yourself. We paid around €80 including two large drinks.

Beautiful and filling dishes from China in the middle of Stuttgart, that's what I needed. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was good too. I'll be back again!

I came to Stew from Belgium for a dinner with friends during the Dragon Boat Festival. I almost missed it after looking at the Google rating. In the end, I went in because my friend remembered that he had eaten there a long time ago and it seemed good. The result is beyond expectation~ The restaurants in the south have the same amount of food as the ones in the north. My friend is a vegetarian and ordered all vegetarian dishes, but the taste was beyond expectation. Two people get two hot and two cold dishes and a bowl of rice for RMB 50+, which is super satisfying! The store environment is also very bright ~ it would be more relaxing to sit outside if it wasn't raining. The service far exceeds (most) Chinese food in Belgium hhh

I just went today. The boss lady Fang is as enthusiastic as she was decades ago, which is touching🥹🌹. The food is still so delicious, authentic Chinese food, spicy as it should be, light as light as it should be, and there are also a variety of hot pot and other dishes! 🌹👍Highly recommended

I really can't understand the bad reviews. I've been eating here for years and now drive well over an hour just to eat here. Service, ambience and cleanliness were top. But the highlight is the food. Always very good. By far the best original Chinese food ever.

I have been coming here frequently since I came to Stu 20 years ago. The food tastes very good and the boss is very enthusiastic. You can also communicate with the boss about your personal taste needs. The location is good, right in the city center, but try not to drive there, parking is not easy. Public transportation is very convenient.

We come here regularly for lunch and are absolutely satisfied every time. You can taste that emphasis is placed on fresh cuisine here. My highlight is the soup that is served with the lunch menu - delicious! The warm nature of the owners completes the overall experience.

Delicious Chinese food, the taste of hometown.

What we ordered today: pickled radish, spicy skewers of pork neck crispy roasted, scallop in the shell with garlic and glass noodles, twice cooked Sichuan style pork belly, spinach cooked in a sauce with garlic and fermented eggs and deep fried pigeon. I recommend the pickled radish to anyone eating there for the first time, it's pickled in a sweet and sour vinegar-soy sauce, so at least that's what it tastes like, a great appetizer. The skewers of pork neck are roasted until crispy and lie in an almost frightening pile of roasted chillies. But these are not particularly spicy, which is why the whole thing is very delicate. Then the scallop - you MUST try it!!!!! This mussel is a gift of nature in itself, but the way the chef prepares it is truly poetry. If you don't like garlic, then you should leave it alone, but otherwise the combo mussel on a bed of glass noodles in its own juice, soy sauce and garlic is a taste sensation. At this point I have to ask myself what all the people who wrote here that the food wasn't seasoned were missing - I have no idea. But on with the food - the twice-cooked Sichuan-style pork belly, with black spice beans, lots of dry chillies and prepared with lots of coarsely chopped onions and green mild peppers. The meat is AWESOME! The pork belly slices are perhaps 3mm thick - just right, cooked / braised so that you can easily eat the rind, but the whole thing still has a certain crunchiness, this dish is not too spicy either, not for chilliheads, but this is a fine restaurant and not the venue for a chili eating contest. And then the pigeon - so fried that you can actually eat many of the little bones, they just crunch up like chips. Served with salt and Sichuan pepper, presumably heated and flavored with the tingling pepper. The meat of a fried pigeon is tender but slightly dry, but that's completely normal and when you order this dish you're looking for a crunchy sensation. The skin is the real delicacy - and that's what you get, it was a great choice, you don't expect pigeon at a Chinese restaurant, but that's because the average German unfortunately reduces the poor Chinese to chicken in batter and duck Canton style. But that is a big mistake. The last dish I want to tell you about is the boiled spinach with fermented eggs. If you have never tried fermented eggs (also called millennial eggs) - please try them! 3 out of 4 people I sold them to like them, including my 70 year old mother. But back to the dish. Admittedly, I was expecting something different here because the menu mentions "fried" spinach, so I was surprised that it came cooked in a lot of sauce, almost soup. And at first I found the dish to be very mildly spiced, but that was probably due to the other very hearty dishes; it tastes of spinach, egg and garlic. The taste was foreign to me, but that's exactly why I go to a restaurant like this - to experience flavors that are foreign to me. A few spoonfuls later I really liked it. Conclusion: Still, after being away for three years, my FAVORITE CHINESE! The service was courteous and friendly, the atmosphere was familiar and pleasant. And no, the food isn't bad, not too expensive, not unseasoned, not unauthentic, but not adapted either - it's the way it should be, and that's why I'll go there again at any time. Oh yes, schnapps recommendation: Gaoliang - great Chinese schnapps, I think made from millet, very strong, a taste experience!

Good authentic cuisine. Here you can get real Chinese food that is otherwise only available in China. I ate delicious pork intestine with pepperoni and pig's ear salad as a starter. The latter was a bit gristly. But that's just the way it is. The interior is comfortably furnished. I deducted one point because there is also frog and sea cucumber on the menu. I don't think this is good for animal welfare reasons. The outdoor area is on Schulstrasse. On the upper floor. A very special street!!!

I was in the restaurant 3 times. The food is expensive but very tasty. All three times we ate very quickly because the first time the old Kunesian woman shouted at the man and moved the tables next to us and we didn't feel comfortable at all. She was very loud and loudly cursed the muse in Chinese. The second time we went there, the old Chinese lady was very loud again and shouted at the people in the kitchen in Chinese, she was very rude. Yesterday we were with the family again and she was talking on the phone in Chinese so loudly that our brains stopped and we couldn't think because of the noise she was making with her voice. She was rude, loud and rude to the waitress who works there and again she was next to us while we ate, dragging and moving tables. Where should I start… For €22.90, a few tasteless sprouts and 3 pieces of meat? Incredible. The ambience is terrible, the waitress is shouted at by the owner and in front of the customers! My appetite was gone immediately and I wanted to get up and go. Terrible. While we were eating, she yelled at her husband and started rearranging the tables. So please, is it still okay? Overall, our day was terrible after that. The McDonald’s next door is better (and cheaper). Never come back.

If you want to eat original Chinese, this is the place for you. Boss gives great advice

The food tastes really good, so good that I had to order twice, but the portions are not small, the staff is very friendly and are completely happy. The restaurant is also very clean and is very modern/old-fashioned as well.

Haben zu dritt Hot Pot bestellt der Hammer kam so schnell an. Super Auswahl für jeden was dabei man kann alles nachbestellen und der Preis bleibt bei 29,90 Hammer.

Das Ambiente hat uns leider nicht sehr zugesagt, siehe Bilder. Es fühlte sich alles etwas kühl und steril an. Es wurden zwar reichlich Beilagen und Speißen für den Kochtopf gereicht, geschmacklich waren wir jedoch nicht begeistert. Für den Preis leider kein besonderes Erlebnis.

Comida estava deliciosa. Embora eu estivesse sozinha, no restaurante. Mas comida muito saborosa.

Waren zum Hot Pot (Feuertopf) essen da. Die Vielfalt des Menüs war super. Neben Meeresfrüchten und Fleisch gab es auch eine große Auswahl an Gemüse. Serviert wird das ganze auf einem großen Tablett, sodass man die Reihenfolge und das Tempo für sich selber entscheiden kann.

Ich muß mal eine Lanze brechen für dieses Restaurant- für mich eines der besten Chinalokale in Stuttgart. Die Stuttgarter haben ein wenig die Begabung, ihre guten Restaurants durch Nicht-Achtung zur Aufgabe zu bringen. Ich habe hier schon beinah ungezählte Male das vorzügliche Essen genossen - authentischer wie viele sogenannte "originale" chinesische Küchen. 3 Beispiele: 1. Schweinerippchen, kurz mariniert, mal ohne Soja! in Ei und Stärkemehl gewendet und frittiert, mit viel leicht angebräuntem Knoblauch gewürzt, knusprig und köstlich, so daß ich einen ganzen Teller davon alleine aufgegessen habe. 2. Vor 2 Wochen gegessen, einen Eintopf aus Lamm, Tofuhaut und Rettich mit einer so leckeren braunen Sauce, weit entfernt nur aus Sojasauce und anderen Fertigsaucen zu bestehen, so daß der schwäbische Bratensaucenliebhaber kein Tröpfen überlassen konnte. 3. Schon oft gegessen: Schweinebauch in einer zweitägigen Prozedur geschmort, gebraten, gedämpft; ungemein geschmackreich, ein Rezept der Chefin und von ihr gekocht. Serviert auf gesalzenem und getrocknetem Senfkohl. Bitte folgen Sie mir, und besuchen Sie dieses Restaurant. Übrigens: wurde immer sehr freundlich behandelt, immer Zeit für ein Gespräch.

Nice tables and terasse but food is nothing special and the prises are very high... White haus wein one glass is 6.30€, sake cold schnaps i 4.90€ (cold in Johnny Walker glass!?!?)... And from 7/8 table it was only one and me outside...

Authentische Küche super!!!!! Preise sind etwas hoch, allerdings ist die Qualität und der Geschmack vielversprechend! Ich kann die 3,3 Sterne nicht verstehen, vermutlich haben einige Deutsche die Authentisch Chinesischen Speisen probiert und "mögen" es nicht. Das hat aber nichts mit dem Restaurant zu tun sondern mit der Person.

Never again! Visited here and wish we hadn't. Service was extremely slow, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Food was awful. Pancake roll was flat and tasteless. The chop suey was appalling. also, to be charged €7.90 for a .75l bottle of water was a pure rip off! Staff were miserable and unhelpful. Please walk by and eat elsewhere!

Wir waren gestern am frühen Abend hier. Das Essen schmeckte in Ordnung Gemüse und Bambus mit Fisch. Die Servicekräfte waren freundlich und die Zeit bis man das Essen bekommt ist vertretbar. Das Ambiente ist angemessen eben typisch asiatisch. Allerdings etwas teuer für die Qualität der Speisen. Hygienische Mängel wie von anderen Gästen beschrieben konnte ich nicht feststellen.

Das schlechteste Restaurant, das ich je erlebt habe. Das Essen war sehr geschmacklos und von schlechter Qualität. Offensichtlich ist es das Geld nicht wert. Die Kellnerin war sehr unhöflich.

bei manchen Portionen ist zu wenig Fleisch im Essen!! Für 17,90€ sollte man ein bißchen mehr Fleisch (z.B. Hänchestücke! viel zu viel Bambus und 5 stück Hänchenfleisch! Viel zu wenig!!) rein tun. Ansonsten ok.

Wer Hot Pot authentisch essen möchte, genau hier bekommt Ihr das. Es gibt auch immer mal wieder neue Chinesische Schnäpse zum probieren. Es lohnt sich wirklich! Preise sind angemessen und die Qualität spricht für sich.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, wenn man den Hot Pot bestellt. A la Carte finde ich manchmal etwas zu salzig. Die Kellnerin ist sehr nett und versucht einen die Wünsche zu erfüllen, auch wenn man am Anfang denkt wie kann sie nur so sein, aber dann bemerkt man, daß das einfach ihre Art ist. Daher sich nicht davon abschrecken lassen.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal hier und sind sehr zufrieden, die Belegschaft ist sehr freundlich gewesen, ein sauberes Restaurant und das Essen ist sehr, sehr lecker und vielfältig. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder 👍🏼

Nähe Königstraße, Essen war schnell da. Fisch Gericht waren panierte Mini Stückchen. (war nicht als Wolfsbarsch zu erkennen!) Ente mit 4erlei Fleisch und Gemüse war gut, nur fast etwas zu scharf. Leider war das Ambiente nicht sehr einladend, der Hunger war wohl zu heftig... erster Eindruck kam verspätet, beim genauen Hinsehen. Tische, obwohl oberflächlich sauber, waren leicht klebrig (ölig), ebenso das Geschirr, aber das kann man ja mit einer Serviette abwischen.

March 26, 2023. I went to this restaurant with my friend. We had late lunch. We ordered crispy duck, water spinach, and sizzling tofu. When i get home, i feel my body is itchy. But i still can deal with it. And then at 2/3 am, i felt all over my body very itchy and then i see i have alot red rash on my body. 4 am, it was very hard to breath. I feel my throat swollen. Today March 27, 2023 at 6am I'm in the hospital.

- Essen vom Geschmack eher durchschnittlich - Preise für das Essen sind gerade noch in Ordnung - Bei den Getränken wird man abgezockt. Für ein chinesisches Bier 5,50 Euro zu verlangen, ist mehr als unverschämt. Das lässt sich auch mit der derzeitigen Inflation nicht rechtfertigen.

Sehr netter Service. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Kein Buffet sondern nach Karte. Ambiente völlig in Ordnung, wie fast jedes Chinarestaurant.

Приветливый персонал, больше ничего хорошего. Потрёпаный дизайн, грязные полы, пластиковые скатерти. Посуда так же давно просится поменяться. Цены очень высокие, но это было бы ничего, если было бы вкусно. Я заказывала утку под соусом земляного ореха. Сама утка хороша, а соус как с пакетика магги. И вместо овощей были дешёвые маринованные шпросы, это вообще вместе не сочиталось. Утка на них быстро остыла и доедала я её уже холодной. Нет соотношения цена-качество.

Sehr guter Feuertopf / Hotpot :) Das Essen war super lecker. Weiss gar nicht, was die anderen Rezenten haben. Bedienung war super freundlich! Preis Leistung war mehr als fair. Konnten uns immer eine neue Platte z. B. Fleisch dazu bestellen :). Sossen waren super lecker! Konnten uns die selber zusammenstellen. Also fuer ein sehr gutes Feuertopf Erlebnis nur zu empfehlen!!

Wer richtig authentisch chinesisch essen möchte ist hier richtig. Ich bin Deutscher, der auf vielen Chinareisen das authentische chinesische Essen lieben gelernt hat. Auf der Suche nach einem vergleichbaren Erlebnis im Raum Stuttgart bin ich schließlich im Fu Gui Fang fündig geworden. Seither war ich schon sehr, sehr oft mit Familie und Freunden hier und bin vom Essen nie enttäuscht worden. Wer authentisch essen möchte fragt am besten nach der Karte mit "original chinesischem Essen" und lässt sich von der Chefin beraten. Unter meinen Favoriten sind die knusprig frittierten Tongku Pilze, Auberginen mit Schweinefleisch nach Yuxiang Art (yu xiang qie zi) und Shanghai Senfkohl / Pak CHoi (xiao bai zai) Zugegeben, die Atmosphäre wirkt etwas kühl - aber in China ist das meist ebenso. Die vielen schlechten Bewertungen kann ich mir nur dadurch erklären, dass die direkte Art der eigentlich herzensguten Chefin nicht bei allen Besuchern gut ankommt.

leider war das Essen nicht der Hit, es war geschmacklich nicht wirklich überzeugend, leider war die Suppe zur Vorspeise auch nicht der hit, zwei Sterne gibt es noch für den bemühten Service, ich werde dieses lokal keine zweites mal besuchen.

Glück gehabt, dass wir dann doch nicht dort waren. Und schade, dass so unhygienische Zustände anscheinend nicht erst seit gestern herrschen.

gutes chinesisches Restaurant, Hot-Pot kann man empfehlen. Pro Person knapp 30 Euro bei der gebotenen Menge und Qualität in Ordnung. Klar könnte es immer noch besser sein, aber bei der Stadtlage insgesamt ein faires Angebot. Die Auswahl für den Hot-Pot ist auf jeden Fall gut. Inneneinrichtung moderat, aber typisch chinesische Restauranttische. Personal sehr freundlich gegenüber dem Gast, intern wird aber laut geschrien. Erreichbarkeit natürlich aufgrund sehr zentraler Lage super. Innenbereich in 2 Räume geteilt.
