Cozy restaurant, good home-style restaurant. The rump steak tasted excellent, as did the Kölsch. Friendly service, relaxed “feel-good atmosphere”!!! No overpriced prices, everything is great :-)))

Delicious meal and cosy atmosphere. Waitress was especially lovely with our children, bringing colouring in and a kinder menu. Food was great servings, tasty and well priced. We had a great time.

Really quaint Cologne pub. Delicious food. I found my sauerbraten a bit too little. But that was just lying on me. My companion found the portion sufficient. The service was top. Friendly and tidy. The selection of food was good. There was something for every taste. We would love to go there again and again.

Typisch kölsche Spezialitäten im Brauhaus-Stil. Küche haben wir schon besser in anderen Brauhäusern erlebt. Aber war auch nicht schlecht - eher Durchschnittlich.

The woman at reception today approx. 5:07 p.m. was very unfriendly and that's why we were gone in 2 seconds! You can never accept something like that again!!!! Not recommended!!!!!!!!

Everything OK. But unfortunately it had no charm. No comparison to Früh am Dom or Früh im Veedel. But it is also a bit cheaper.

The positive first. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere, it's very nice to sit there. However, I found the food disappointing. I had roast pork. This comes served with two dumplings and sauce. No side salad, no red cabbage or other vegetables. I found that disappointing. In addition, the roast was simply very, very dry and the sauce was very thin and watery. The price is really okay at 15.90 euros. But I'm happy to pay euros more for better quality and vegetables for the dish. So unfortunately the food was nothing :-((

After we were spoken to rudely and really not in a hospitable manner in a very large and renowned restaurant at the cathedral, the three of us went looking for a restaurant where we could still eat. It was all supposed to be that way, because we met you, a wonderfully cozy, rustic restaurant, with a rustic pub atmosphere and such a warm staff that we could no longer expect in Cologne. Even your guests are warm and approachable. We ate deliciously and felt very comfortable, almost at home. Keep your lovely and absolutely hospitable nature... Your three Lüneburgers

Just as you would imagine a Cologne restaurant/brewery to be. Service very friendly. There is a bowling alley in the basement that you can rent. Another plus for a sociable group activity.

Top brewery. Köbbese everything as it should and no pseudo-unfriendly Köbbese. Always a slightly cheeky but funny saying on his lips. Food and drinks arrive promptly. Food really good. Beer is just Kölsch. If you like it, it's really good.

The establishment is all new inside & out, but is in the style of an traditional Kölsch lokal (bar). But there's little authentic atmosphere, it's not likely that locals hang out here, and the food was average. The .2l stange (glasses) of kölsch were fun.

Fantástico lugar, la comida era increíble, tuve el schnitzel Weiner, absolutamente delicioso! El servicio también fue muy rápido, los precios son muy razonables y el personal es muy amable. Estuve allí un lunes por la noche y no tuve problemas para conseguir una mesa, he leído comentarios que dicen que se pone ocupado y vale la pena reservar una reserva, pero esto no era necesario anoche, me imagino que está más ocupado hacia el fin de semana. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar! Especialmente si buscas algún lugar lejos del centro, pero lo suficientemente cerca como para no estar en medio de la nada 😊

I wanted to show my English boss something authentically Cologne-style and that's what we got here. Cologne caviar as a starter and ribs as a main course accompanied by a few breakfast dishes. He really liked it 😉

Great place if you want to feel like a local. The food is really good, we went three days in a row. The waiters were attentive and friendly.

We were looking for a good local restaurant near our hotel and we weren't disappointed. Service was super friendly and with relaxed sayings. Food was good. Personally, fried potatoes were a bit too greasy for me BUT that's really a matter of taste. Ambiance was cozy and rustic. Will definitely stop by here again next time we visit Cologne.

The food was very tasty, but also very greasy. It was super entertaining and very drinkable at the same time ;) Great service! The only real shame was the constant smell of manure in the restaurant, which appeared every few minutes.

Second time here. Again the same Köbes as the first time about 4 weeks ago. Here today with my parents in their 80s, who were at the Kölschen Brauhaus for the first time. The food was again very tasty and recommended. We sat in a niche as requested (due to sensitivity to noise). As usual, Kölsch is quickly served to the guest. Very courteous and caring, always with a nice, quick saying on his lips. We felt extremely comfortable. Thank you for this great evening. D., you can be sure of our vote in the election for “Köbes of the Year”. Again thank you very much! And as I said... expect the worst: we'll be back! :-)

The food was unbeatably good. I had the Jan von Werth record. Very well cooked. I'm always thrilled when restaurants serve mashed potatoes, especially when they're good. It was a little loud, but nothing that you would find annoying. It definitely had a tavern character. The food came quickly and our glasses were rarely empty. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. A really great place. It was quaint, bright and very inviting at the same time. We felt very comfortable!

Hello Team Früh Jan v. Werth. The entry here is long overdue. I'm not from Cologne myself, but I've been there several times a month for years. I always really enjoy being at F.J.v.W. I was there again last night and would like to leave a really positive review. The employees are always really nice, equipped with “rough Cologne charm”! Just like it should be in a brewery. The delicious Kölsch comes really quickly, perfectly. Yesterday it became clear once again that even simple dishes, when done well, are absolutely great. Here it was a minced steak with savoy cabbage and sauce. It couldn't be better...an absolute highlight in terms of quality. A celery soup in advance and both for well under €20 00. I can recommend EVERYONE to stop by there. I will definitely continue to do so and would like to express my gratitude to the nice staff there.

Yesterday we had dinner with 6 people. We ordered well, starter, dessert. One of us ordered a portion of butter with his salad and roll during the meal. This came 20 minutes after we finished eating. When the bill came, 90 euros were too much. When we pointed this out, Köbes reacted incredibly arrogantly instead of recognizing his mistake. When we told him that we couldn't charge for the butter, his answer was that it wasn't his fault that the kitchen took so long, but he would give us the butter. All in all, a very disappointing experience, especially since there are enough other locations in Cologne. We're not going there anymore. And according to our description, neither does our relatively large community!

What can I say, a very large restaurant with the typical dishes, nothing special. The service was good and nice. The prices are not really cheap.

After 33 years in Cologne, we moved to the far north in 2017. During our regular visits to Cologne, we always like to visit Jan von Werth in the morning. Great ambience, super nice staff and hearty food. The Kölsch tastes good and the Köbes is always attentive. I can recommend it at any time. On our last visit we were also allowed to bring our small dog with us.

Wir waren nicht zum ersten Mal dort, aber diesmal war die Schlussrechnung um ca. 99,-€ zu hoch!!! Der Köbes hat uns anstatt 3 einzelne Schnäpse 3 Flaschen Schnaps in Rechnung gestell und war beim Berichtigen der Rechnung sehr unfreundlich. Damit hatte sich sein Trinkgeld und jeder weitere Besuch unsererseits im Früh"Jan von Werth" erledigt.

The staff was very unfriendly and very rude to us, he even questioned us why we didn’t give him any tips. Also, during the meal, we have to wait for 15 mins for a dish and we could not find him to get assistance. Besides the food was soso with unreasonable price.

Schönes traditionelles Brauhaus, aber als wir da waren hatten wir Pech mit dem Essen. Alles eher ok oder mäßig als gut. Wir kommen beide aus Köln und kennen einige Brauhäuser mit erheblich besserer Qualität

Wrong drinks bill, food from the menu for this event (3 different ones were offered) but 1 was suddenly not available even though it was on the normal menu. Booked crime dinner was changed at short notice, replacement event was the biggest joke. Only the staff was friendly and quick. Unfortunately not recommended.

The real experience of a Cologne Brauhaus

Classic brewery atmosphere. In terms of ambience, one of the best in Cologne. The food, especially the knuckle, is recommended here. Unfortunately, during our visit the service was very slow. We will be back.
