We had a lovely evening there yesterday with eight men! The food was excellent, and the hunter's sauce was amazing! Everything was great, and Maria was fantastic. We'll be back from Mönchengladbach! A classic. Brewery with tradition. Yes, as a foreigner you could sometimes misunderstand the sayings. But that's Cologne dialect. Here the heart is on the tongue. So if you're looking for a brewery with tradition and a Kölschem heart, you're in great hands here. Here you can also find the “locals” who come for a quick Kölsch after work and leave again, but also sociable groups who enjoy the evening and just have fun. You have to stop by here... Remember, the Köbes only stops delivering when the beer mat is on the glass. Water is only available for washing and sometimes not for drinking. Just kidding… that could still be an answer. So, immerse yourself in the tradition and let yourself be surprised ❤️😎

War mit einer größeren Gruppe im Früh Em Jan von Werth und da Montag war, gab es frische Reibekuchen mit verschiedenen Möglichkeiten, zum Beispiel selbstgemachtes Apfelkompott oder wie in meinem Fall frisches, selbstgemachtes Tartar. Kölsch von Früh ist lecker und die Bedienung manchmal etwas überfordert aber dafür freundlich, also sehr zu empfehlen.

We went to the quiz dinner at Früh Jan von Werth. A nice brewery with a rustic atmosphere and very friendly staff. The food could have been better. A menu was also put together for this evening. However, the menu offers delicious Cologne specialties. Always my pleasure!!!!

Service was super nice and accommodating, hence 5 stars for the service. Ambience is also typical brewery with good 80s/90s music in the background. But unfortunately the food was almost misleading. The menu includes goulash with homemade macaroni." The goulash is not beautifully prepared, the sauce is very thick, but still okay. The supposedly homemade macaroni is cheap pasta from a bag that was completely overcooked, so much so that it was already pale and completely falling apart, not salted and with pasta water dripping onto the plate. Selling this as homemade pasta borders on misleading. Therefore, I don't recommend any food

I had a wonderful time at Früh am Dom! The atmosphere was warm and lively, with beautiful views of the Cologne Cathedral. I tried the Schweinshaxe (roast pork knuckle), and it was delicious, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Of course, I had to pair it with a few glasses of their famous Kölsch beer, which was light and refreshing. The staff were friendly and service was quick despite how busy it was. Definitely a must visit for anyone wanting a classic Cologne experience!

We ate well, but the waiters seemed a bit rude to me. When they collected the glasses we had the impression that one of them drank the dregs of the beer. Plus there was a little mouse wandering around the tables, but no one seemed to mind

When I'm in Cologne on business, our colleagues really enjoy going here. There is always very tasty food here. This time I had Himmel und Ääd with a side salad. Absolutely recommended 😍 The waitresses are always funny and friendly. Unfortunately, refilling the Kölsch doesn't always work so well.

We had a great time on Carnival Sunday after taking part in the Veedelszöch! Kölsch is quickly and excellently tapped, the food is delicious and quickly at the table for us hungry people. Also highly recommended outside of the session: potato pancakes!!

Wir waren mit 10 Personen dort, alle zufrieden. Der Köbes war souverän und hat einen tollen Job gemacht. Das Essen ist eine sehr gute Grundlage für das Bier in den kleinen Gläsern. Zentrale Lage. Empfehlenswert.

Cordon Bleu ordered, very fried and dark on the outside, raw meat on the inside. Fries lukewarm. Sent back due to raw pork. Fair service since we didn't have to pay for the plate, but at least a disappointing experience. Kölsch ok

We actually had a nice evening. Now, at 3 a.m., I deeply regret eating there. Greetings from food poisoning with violent vomiting - you wouldn't wish it on anyone and I will never eat here again even if I can keep something down at some point...

Sorry, the food is below anything I've eaten so far, even by Cologne standards. The fries are so hard that you want to beat a drumroll on your plate and the Jägerschnitzel only has ready-made sauce. After ordering, the kitchen realizes that there aren't enough "Wiener Schnitzel" in stock. Only the cheapest ready-made dressing on the side salad. Pity about my hunger. The whole thing together for over 20 euros. No, we're not going there anymore.

Delicious Kölsch. The atmosphere is also very nice, although the counter system, i.e. the shelves, could be made more decorative. Then next time there will be 5 stars instead of just 4 now. 😏 The Köbes also have, as befits, a dry and friendly sense of humor. Keep it up.

Delicious meal and cosy atmosphere. Waitress was especially lovely with our children, bringing colouring in and a kinder menu. Food was great servings, tasty and well priced. We had a great time.

Portion was a bit small, I was even more hungry but otherwise very tasty and really good. Looks very nice, fun to look around. Courteous staff, fast service I wanted to take a photo of my food but it was eaten too quickly 🙂🙃

Very nice location and super nice service. Unfortunately we didn't eat anything there. The ambience is missing some music. That might be another high for the mood. But otherwise great.

Really quaint Cologne pub. Delicious food. I found my sauerbraten a bit too little. But that was just lying on me. My companion found the portion sufficient. The service was top. Friendly and tidy. The selection of food was good. There was something for every taste. We would love to go there again and again.

Typisch kölsche Spezialitäten im Brauhaus-Stil. Küche haben wir schon besser in anderen Brauhäusern erlebt. Aber war auch nicht schlecht - eher Durchschnittlich.

Everything OK. But unfortunately it had no charm. No comparison to Früh am Dom or Früh im Veedel. But it is also a bit cheaper.

The positive first. Super friendly staff, nice atmosphere, it's very nice to sit there. However, I found the food disappointing. I had roast pork. This comes served with two dumplings and sauce. No side salad, no red cabbage or other vegetables. I found that disappointing. In addition, the roast was simply very, very dry and the sauce was very thin and watery. The price is really okay at 15.90 euros. But I'm happy to pay euros more for better quality and vegetables for the dish. So unfortunately the food was nothing :-((

After we were spoken to rudely and really not in a hospitable manner in a very large and renowned restaurant at the cathedral, the three of us went looking for a restaurant where we could still eat. It was all supposed to be that way, because we met you, a wonderfully cozy, rustic restaurant, with a rustic pub atmosphere and such a warm staff that we could no longer expect in Cologne. Even your guests are warm and approachable. We ate deliciously and felt very comfortable, almost at home. Keep your lovely and absolutely hospitable nature... Your three Lüneburgers

Just as you would imagine a Cologne restaurant/brewery to be. Service very friendly. There is a bowling alley in the basement that you can rent. Another plus for a sociable group activity.

Top brewery. Köbbese everything as it should and no pseudo-unfriendly Köbbese. Always a slightly cheeky but funny saying on his lips. Food and drinks arrive promptly. Food really good. Beer is just Kölsch. If you like it, it's really good.

The establishment is all new inside & out, but is in the style of an traditional Kölsch lokal (bar). But there's little authentic atmosphere, it's not likely that locals hang out here, and the food was average. The .2l stange (glasses) of kölsch were fun.

Fantástico lugar, la comida era increíble, tuve el schnitzel Weiner, absolutamente delicioso! El servicio también fue muy rápido, los precios son muy razonables y el personal es muy amable. Estuve allí un lunes por la noche y no tuve problemas para conseguir una mesa, he leído comentarios que dicen que se pone ocupado y vale la pena reservar una reserva, pero esto no era necesario anoche, me imagino que está más ocupado hacia el fin de semana. Recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar! Especialmente si buscas algún lugar lejos del centro, pero lo suficientemente cerca como para no estar en medio de la nada 😊

I wanted to show my English boss something authentically Cologne-style and that's what we got here. Cologne caviar as a starter and ribs as a main course accompanied by a few breakfast dishes. He really liked it 😉

We were looking for a good local restaurant near our hotel and we weren't disappointed. Service was super friendly and with relaxed sayings. Food was good. Personally, fried potatoes were a bit too greasy for me BUT that's really a matter of taste. Ambiance was cozy and rustic. Will definitely stop by here again next time we visit Cologne.

The food was very tasty, but also very greasy. It was super entertaining and very drinkable at the same time ;) Great service! The only real shame was the constant smell of manure in the restaurant, which appeared every few minutes.

Second time here. Again the same Köbes as the first time about 4 weeks ago. Here today with my parents in their 80s, who were at the Kölschen Brauhaus for the first time. The food was again very tasty and recommended. We sat in a niche as requested (due to sensitivity to noise). As usual, Kölsch is quickly served to the guest. Very courteous and caring, always with a nice, quick saying on his lips. We felt extremely comfortable. Thank you for this great evening. D., you can be sure of our vote in the election for “Köbes of the Year”. Again thank you very much! And as I said... expect the worst: we'll be back! :-)

Early Kölsch pub with Cologne flair. Carpenters will be pleased with the wooden structures to visually separate the tables. The menu has something traditional and surprising to offer.

A disaster of a place. Bad service. Poor quality of dishes. Poorly cooked. We are a traveled group and something like this has never happened to us.
