Das Essen ist in Ordnung. Nichts Besonderes, keine großen Überraschungen.

Ich hatte den Braukutscherteller, die Portion war mehr als Großzügig, die Frequenz der Kölschversorgung mehr als angemessen und die Preise vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir haben draußen in einem gemütliche Biergarten gesessen. Ich komme wieder!

Eines der besten Wirtshaus/Brauhaus Essen, dazu große Auswahl an Bier vom Fass,ein sehr freundlicher Service und ein schöner Biergarten. Definitiv einen Besuch wert, wir kommen wieder!

15 Minuten bis man bedient wird Eine Stunde aufs Essen gewartet während der Laden fast leer war. Qualität des essen sehr schlecht. Schlechte Fleisch Qualität und Bernaise Sauce aus dem Tetra Pack. Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Keine Entschuldigung für die Wartezeit. Dafür hohe Preise

Es ist ein herzlicher und einladender Ort. Das Personal ist hervorragend. Das Essen ist hausgemacht und wird mit hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet. Ich kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen, besonders das Schweinekotelett – es ist riesig und köstlich. 😍

The location is very beautiful, not far from the Rhine, about a 7-minute walk. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was fantastic.

We were there with a group. It was really lovely. We were especially able to have good conversations. It wasn't too loud. We were all thrilled.

We were there as a group. The service was very quick, friendly, and efficient. The drinks and food arrived promptly. The schnitzel with mushroom sauce and fries that I chose was very tasty, and the portion was just right. As soon as my glass was empty, the server was there to bring a fresh beer from their extensive selection. All in all, a great evening with good food and delicious drinks. I'm deducting one point for the parking situation and the missing side salad, which is usually included, during a special anniversary celebration.

Hungry, we went there and back again. The prices were listed without the additional VAT. We've never experienced anything like it.

A lovely pub with a wonderful, cozy beer garden. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The beer is fresh, and the food is down-to-earth and extremely delicious.

We ate at the Alt Poller Wirtshaus and were unfortunately very disappointed. The schnitzel was soggy, the breading was greasy, and not at all crispy – my companion couldn't eat any more after a few bites. After the visit, we both also experienced severe gastrointestinal discomfort, which is very unusual for us and was directly related to the time of the meal. I would like to highlight one positive point: The server was very friendly and polite. We find the restaurant's subsequent handling of our complaint all the more incomprehensible. Instead of seriously considering the criticism, our descriptions were dismissed as "unlikely" and "inaccurate." In some cases, we were even accused of things that were simply not true. In our opinion, this is a very unprofessional approach to paying guests. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the restaurant.

Very friendly, attentive staff. Freshly prepared, tasty food. Many beers on tap. In summer, the beer garden is a great place to relax.

The food didn't arrive for 45 minutes. Unfortunately, the service staff was unfriendly and preferred to gossip about the guests. It was our first and last visit.

Reservations can be made by phone via an answering machine, but apparently no one answers the phone. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. The food, large salads, was mediocre.

The food is great! (The burger, the bratwurst, and the schnitzel are all great). The dining room is a bit small, but nicely and comfortably furnished. The furniture and decor are spot on. Service (Mike) is courteous and friendly. Unfortunately, there's no parking on site, but that doesn't bother us. Highlight: real guest towels in the restroom!!!👍👍👍. Highly recommended!

Actually 4.5 out of 5 stars. A very nice restaurant with friendly and very nice staff. We felt very comfortable here. The food was very tasty and the staff was always attentive. There are lots of beers on tap here. I highly recommend this restaurant. We'd love to come back

Wonderful, unpretentious, and a little undiscovered spot on Schäl Sick. The food was excellent all around, and the selection of draft beers was really good. A lovely Sunday lunch - thank you!

Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't right for us, as we weren't expecting to pay almost €35 for an asparagus dish, which unfortunately included rather hard asparagus. Dessert, a chocolate tart, was around €10. Service was very friendly, but the wait for the food was quite long.

We stopped by with a large group on a Saturday evening, and they found us a good spot. Unfortunately, people smoke everywhere outside. We found this very unpleasant and even strange. Unfortunately, it always took a while for the waiter to arrive at our table, for us to order something, or for us to pay. The food was good overall, but nothing special. The fries were very good! Unfortunately, the fish had little flavor and only tasted mildly smoked. The prices are rather high. The Spritz drink with the Schwesterherz liqueur was overly sweet. We preferred other drinks.

An all-round successful visit The Alt Poller Wirtshaus impresses with excellent cuisine, attentive service, and a very pleasant atmosphere. The dishes were superbly prepared and tasted of a high standard. Particularly noteworthy is the idyllic beer garden, which invites you to linger and enjoy – a small green oasis in the heart of Cologne. The friendly and attentive service rounds off the positive overall experience. A clear recommendation!

A nice beer garden with great service. Very popular in summer. Then it is often impossible to get a seat without a reservation. Or with waiting time. Simple brewery food, but very tasty. It's best to come by bike. There are not enough parking spaces.

Nettes Ambiente, freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, diverse Biere frisch vom Fass. Gute Getränkeauswahl. Ansprechende Speisekarte. Beim nächsten Besuch werden wir hier zum Essen einkehren.

Yesterday the three of us were at the inn. The food was again very tasty. The Schnitzel Waldemar was perfect and fresh from the pan and not (as is unfortunately often the case in other breweries) from the deep fryer. The fries were delicious, crispy and golden. The sauce was also very tasty with fresh mushrooms. The side salad was a bit bland and uncluttered but definitely fresh. The beer coach cutlet was also perfect and juicy. The side dishes of fried potatoes, onions and fried eggs were consistently delicious. Both portions were large and could only be achieved if you were very hungry. In addition to the Frühkölsch, the large selection of seasonal beers, for example from the Eifel and other regions, is also positive. In terms of price, the level is in the upper range. But quite appropriate for the very good quality offered yesterday and comparable to the prices in the breweries in the old town. Some breweries in the old town offer much poorer quality food. We have been enjoying going to the Poller Wirtshaus for years and are mostly satisfied. However, it has been noted, especially since Corona, that the quality of the food fluctuates, which we have already experienced ourselves. We suspect it's due to changing chefs. This is probably where the sometimes negative recessions come from. That's why I only give 4 stars in the food category and not 5. We hope that yesterday's very good quality of food continues and we look forward to a beautiful spring and summer in the beer garden there!

Friendly staff and the food was really good :) Extra requests such as extra fried eggs on the Cordon Bleu were accommodated without any problems :)

A very nice brewery that you always enjoy coming back to.

We were there for the umpteenth time and the men had the (300 gr.) Bierkutscher cutlet. Another poem, okay. Waited a little longer (approx. 45 minutes from ordering) but it was worth it. The chef knows how to prepare hearty dishes called “Öllisch un Brootäppel”. Plus delicious Kölsch and good-humoured guests from Veedel. Better jeiht et nit mieh!!!

A pub as it should be. We spontaneously returned on Sunday afternoon to a very cozy atmosphere. The place looks relaxed - rustic, everything is in its place, there is also real candlelight. The service is quick and friendly, there is a large weekly menu and an additional fixed menu. The food was outstanding! Very tasty prepared and also plentiful. What I particularly like is the balanced selection of both food and drinks. We'd love to come back.

Good home cooking. Both waitresses were very friendly and they both kept asking if we needed anything else or if everything was OK. That's how it has to be.

Delicious food, portions a bit too small for good eaters, looking back the price was too high for the size of the portion for us. Everything is becoming more expensive. That's why we also know that restaurateurs are also suffering from rising prices.

We have the inn Visited on Boxing Day and were able to enjoy our own ambience in the upper room for a large group of us (around 30 people). Two people delivered the service to us. I thought it was very nice, my food was very good, the drinks came very quickly. In this form it was a lot of fun.

It's really nice to sit outside. The food is average and sometimes overpriced. The interior is missing that last something, I can't describe it. Maybe real brewery tables would help. Small flies were buzzing everywhere and sticking to the ceiling and lamps. It smelled like rancid fat. The counter/bar is bland and uninviting. The staff took some getting used to for us. Even though it was quite busy, we probably won't be back anytime soon.

Five men and we had dinner at the Alt Poller Wirtshaus and we were all thrilled with the food. For example, I had the cutlet with fried potatoes "and two more too" and I have to say, I haven't eaten such an "awesome" cutlet for a long time. The ambience and the service were also just really great, so all in all, and you can hear that in my rating, we were more than satisfied and can only recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Phenomenal! The head waiter is a young Cologne native. Really refreshing to chat with him. The dishes are classic, but prepared with love. The service is fast, you can't really say anything about it. Sure, the selection of food isn't the largest, but you get quality food here! The portions are quite large for the price, everyone will be full here, guaranteed!

Waiters were unfriendly, food was very spicy. We were reprimanded for sitting at a table that wasn't cleared so we wouldn't be left out in the rain. Then the waiters didn't want to clear away all of our cutlery. Then our portions were very small even though the dish was expensive. Food very salty. We didn't feel welcome. too bad. Other people around us also had similar experiences and advised us not to go there. But to be fair, I have to say that this hasn't been the case on other visits of ours. Maybe there were different staff working there today like the last few times.

Beautiful neighborhood pub with a beer garden under the trees, friendly service and cozy outdoor seating. But: The food was barely worth one star. Loveless mini salad, lukewarm fries and crumbled schnitzel at a hearty price does not result in a better rating.

It's not 1940...Arrogant waiter, only regular customers are served. A group of 6 people waited 20 minutes until we were served. Only over 60 Germans seem welcome, nothing more needs to be said about this place.

Good inn with one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Cologne. Especially recommended outside in good weather. You sit comfortably and the trees offer shade. The food – whether seasonal offerings or a menu – is really recommended. The price and performance are right. What should be highlighted is the selection of different beers, on the one hand those that are always offered, as well as special features. In addition, there is good service, motivated and always friendly staff. The offer is rounded off by regular events. These could be announced more prominently from time to time.

Yesterday, shortly before 3 p.m., we spontaneously decided to finally stop at the Alt Poller Wirtshaus on our bike tour. We parked our bikes outside and saw people sitting at a table in the beer garden and a waiter wiping tables. As we reached the open garden gate, the waiter wordlessly slammed the door in our faces. We then refrained from waiting the 10 minutes until it opened (we then read it on a sign next to the gate). Polite behavior doesn't seem to be on the menu at this place.🤷‍♀️

A very appealing pub in every respect: menu, dishes, service, ambience - I felt very comfortable! I do have one small, but certainly easy to implement request: Salads - regardless of whether they are large or small - should be served on FLAT plates. That would make eating it much easier 😉

We sat in the cozy beer garden in the nice weather. The food was delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. Small but fine selection of dishes and a changing daily menu. If we weren't just passing through, we would stop there more often.
