Friend's Burger Saloon in Ludwigsburg

Unfortunately, GF doesn't work for people with celiac disease. So, CAUTION!!!! After my visit yesterday, I had severe stomach pain. Which unfortunately turned out to be my last visit. Despite the staff pointing out the importance of the GF assurance, including contamination – they have experience, know what they're doing, pay attention to contamination, and avoid it – it unfortunately didn't work. The friendly gentleman was wearing gloves while preparing the burgers, and he probably changes them, but... Was it the fries? Do they ONLY make GF fries in the fryer? It's quite crowded at the counter, and who knows how the crumbs are... Perhaps the buns are cut with the same knife as the gluten-containing ones? Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Bürger and Friends. 😥😥😥 Okay for normal eaters, but dear celiacs – keep your hands off. The restaurant itself is very nicely done and a great place to visit if you're in the mood for a burger. The price/performance ratio is good. Drinks from glass bottles - great! Only that way does Coke taste really good.

Prices are normal. There were food crumbs from previous customers on the table. It wasn't cleaned. The burgers were overcooked and dry. It's self-service.

I first noticed it through the Schlemmerblock restaurant. I've walked past it several times and thought, "Hey, that looks cool, always something going on." We were there on a Saturday evening and unfortunately had to wait an hour for our food. The place wasn't even completely full. 🙈 The ambiance/decor/style is rather extravagant, and it's not very big, which I personally prefer. It's a self-service restaurant. Service was good, but I had the impression the staff were a bit overwhelmed. The menus were messed up, and forks were only available upon request. The cutlery basket was empty. The food was very tasty, but I probably won't be going back.

I'm really sorry but I don't understand steak at all - it was a frayed thin piece and I doubt that it was 200g - cold and not medium but well done - but you can't get such a thin piece medium - fries were cold too - the shepherd's salad wasn't dressed and there was no vinegar, oil, salt, pepper - if you don't dress the salad you should put the ingredients on the table - here we have to say a waste of money - once and never again -

Friends Burger Saloon in Ludwigsburg – Very good burger at a fair price I ordered a large cheeseburger at Friends Burger Saloon today. I was pleasantly surprised by the value: getting a double cheeseburger of this size for around €10 isn't something you often experience. I also liked the lava rock grill on which the burgers are prepared – you can watch the entire process live. However, I didn't like the fact that the patties were left exposed and simply covered with foil instead of being refrigerated. I also noticed the very worn menus, which are in desperate need of replacement. The service was friendly but rather reserved. I had my burger after about 10 minutes, and as soon as I opened the packaging, I was greeted by a strong grilled aroma. This aroma was also clearly noticeable in the taste and gave the burger a pleasant flavor. Overall, a very good burger at a fair price. However, in my opinion, there are alternatives in Ludwigsburg that I would prefer. Don’t get me wrong – it was still a delicious and successful burger.

+++ Warning - Lack of hygiene +++ Unfortunately, both cooks didn't wash their hands after using the restroom. We saw them get straight to work with unwashed hands after using the restroom. Pee as a secret ingredient in a burger isn't really my cup of tea... We got up and left as a group.

The burger tasted okay, but the rest was unfortunately disappointing. Despite the lack of customers, we had to wait far too long – over 30 minutes for two burgers. One employee walked around at a snail's pace and seemed completely unmotivated. Additionally, the music is played via YouTube, resulting in frequent, minute-long ads. This makes the experience even more unpleasant. The whole place feels unprofessional and uninviting.

We had to wait 50 minutes for our food. It wasn't that busy, but it still took a long time, probably due to understaffing. The staff was friendly. The food was very tasty. The patties were freshly made.

They said it would take 40 minutes, but it turned out to be over an hour. Slow as snails. Pick-ups were more important.

The burgers tasted okay, and the fact that we had to wipe our table ourselves was something we could have tolerated. However, we had to wait about 1.5 hours for our food without any warning. You definitely don't expect such a long wait at a burger restaurant! A brief reminder or apology would have been the least we could have received. No burger can be so good that you'd subject yourself to it a second time.

Delicious burgers, reasonable prices, great atmosphere inside. I recommend it!

The Baba Junior was amazing! It was my first time here and I was immediately impressed. Super juicy meat, everything freshly prepared and perfectly balanced. You can tell the quality is what they do here. The staff was also incredibly friendly, and the place is incredibly clean. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

We arrived hungry and when I looked at the menu it was immediately clear what I was eating, “the Baba Burger”. It's important that you say that you want chili, because here chili really means "chilli" 🌶️. Sweet potato fries are also great, the coleslaw is sugary like most things these days, but still ok. My companion had the Friend's Western Burger and was very happy with it. But honestly, just treat yourself to a Baba Burger 🍔. You have to know.

Delicious food and solid prices. However, the waiting time is brutal. We waited almost half an hour for two burgers at 2 p.m. And that even though there were only two guests in front of us. The ambience is great, but I don't even want to know what the waiting times are like when the restaurant is full.

The food is “normally” good and on par with other burger shops. The service is a disaster. Today there were 4 of us there. The gentleman was overwhelmed and didn't really listen when taking the order. In the end a burger was missing after 55 minutes of waiting! When I said the burger was called and ordered, all I got was "I can still make it, but there's a wait" and then I said "another hour?" and the answer was "We're not at McDonalds!" Maybe you're not McDonald's but sorry, even McDonald's does a better job of taking orders and doesn't behave like that! Conclusion, sorry to you, never again! Burger ok, nothing special but behavior arrogant and rude!

Overall, very tasty burgers. My companion had the Baba Junior Burger and was thrilled. I had the Chicken Classic Burger. This one was fine, the chicken was very tender. It's a shame that all burgers have so many additives in them. However, they are well signposted. But if you want to do without something like that, you won't find it here. Unfortunately it was very, very cold in the store. Everyone had started putting on their jackets. However, I understand that the staff are warm by the fire and are happy about fresh air. The temperature felt like it was below zero in the toilet. The cabins are so small that your knees hit the door. But that's complaining at a high level. Self-service, the atmosphere is quite nice, the saddles on the chairs are pretty cool. Overall a rather small shop.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and expected to get a quick burger and fries. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, after ordering we waited an hour until the food was ready. For a restaurant that's somewhere between McDonald's and self-service, that's a really long time. It was also noticeable that everyone had to wait so long, but it wasn't even too crowded. It was also annoying that after the long wait, my vegan burger didn't come, but one with a meat patty, so we returned it and waited again. The vegan burger came with the wrong sauce, but we overlooked that. The food itself was delicious, but you can't go wrong with burgers either. Overall, due to the extremely long waiting time, the prices being too high for the circumstances and the somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere due to the music being way too loud, it's not necessarily recommended. If you want to eat something quickly, it's better to keep walking. But you have to give it credit for the fact that we got drinks on the house for the long waiting time, otherwise everyone was quite friendly and the furnishings are almost overly wooden, but definitely charming.

Unfortunately it didn't convince us. Bacon was chewy, rolls and fries were cold.

According to the internet and the information on the shop window, the opening times are from 12 p.m. We went in just after 12pm and were told they wouldn't open until 1pm. We are totally disappointed and had to quickly look for an alternative. On our way back we saw that at 12:47 p.m. several guests were already sitting at the tables with food. Nice shop, centrally located. I can only provide information about the veggie burgers: They were available in 4 different types. Well topped and tasty. The “beyond burger” was a bit misleading because it wasn’t made with beyond meat; unfortunately it wasn’t specified which patty was on it. Fries with cheese and side dishes very tasty. I ordered a hamburger with extra bacon which I guess I forgot about. Can happen. But when it came to light, simply putting a piece of raw bacon on the burger that was lying around open the whole time is, first of all, not cool and really not hygienic. Would give a zero start if possible. Absolutely terrible service. There is no sign on the door about dogs not allowed. Walked in and some random cook yelled from behind the grill no dogs. Their outdoor seating was closed, for no reason due to it being a weekend and nice weather. If you aren’t going to allow dogs have a sign on the door. Also have some decency to have a host explain that and not just wave people out from behind the griddle.

Although the burgers look very good and the establishment seems to specialize in just that with a limited selection, unfortunately my burger came burnt. You not only tasted it, but also saw it and even smelled it. Apart from the fact that consumption can have harmful health consequences, something like this shouldn't happen to any "burger saloon". So the burger smelled burnt, tasted bitter (despite sauce, cheese, etc.) and looked that way too. How can you serve something like that to customers? With a menu price (with small fries, which were the only tasty thing, and a sugary coleslaw that tasted like a ready-made product) of over 17 euros, it's really not a bargain. The only positive thing was that the burger griller didn't argue, but directly offered to grill a new one. Something like this should work quickly and not take about 15 minutes, like it did for me. The friends had already eaten by then and you lost your appetite due to the bitter aftertaste of the burnt minced meat. The next burger finally arrived. But it wasn't really tasty either. Not burnt, but dry. Otherwise, you can't speak of any service worth mentioning because "self-service" saves as much effort as possible. All in all, unfortunately not recommended.

Website down. No way to reserve a table. Walker to this place and all tables were reserved but empty. Had to find somewhere else to eat. Small place and looked like it is a converted Turkish doner shop.

Self-service burger restaurant with an almost over-the-top rustic wooden interior. Some seats at the "bar" draped with horse saddles. There is also seating in front of the restaurant on the street. Burgers were served on wooden discs with a paper layer and were okay in terms of taste and price. The predominantly young staff were cool and friendly. Paid parking on the street or in the nearby parking garage.

Friend’s Burger Saloon in Ludwigsburg serves some of the best burgers we have ever eaten, and they are fairly priced. You can choose between two patty sizes: 100g and 200g. The fries were also very delicious. The relatively small restaurant is decorated in a cowboy theme. It is a self-service restaurant where you order at the counter and receive a buzzer that vibrates when your food is ready for pickup at the counter. Drinks are also self-service, taken from a fridge after payment. We will definitely be coming back again.

The burger itself tasted good, but the BBQ sauce was a bit too strong and masked the actual taste of the burger. In addition, the meat was overcooked in some places, which somewhat detracted from the enjoyment. The sweet potato fries were okay, solid but nothing special. Service: The service was disappointing. The service was not friendly and seemed unmotivated. The entire atmosphere in the restaurant gave the impression that the employees didn't like working there. Good burger in the upper middle range. The desired cooking level was not quite achieved. The bun was good, not dry, toppings were quite tasty, sauces maybe a little too bland. Unfortunately, the bacon on the BBQ burger wasn't crispy but rather soft. If you offer bacon, you should also serve it crispy to customers. The meat is fresh and has a good taste. Fries are a special feature. These are not normal fries but thinly sliced ​​potato slices, which were really delicious!

Eat delicious gluten-free burgers. Rolls taste really great. Good extensive offer. Every burger is possible as a gluten-free version. The staff knows their stuff very well. Gf buns are treated absolutely separately. Cole slaw not gluten free. But as an alternative there is a delicious sour cream with the fries. I have been there many times as an allergy sufferer and have never had any problems with the food afterwards.

Both burger patties were well cooked but still very dry and bland. The rolls were very crispy at the beginning but then became dry relatively quickly. There wasn't much to taste of the sauces. The Chilli Cheese Fries had a lot of cheese but unfortunately tasted extremely like old fat and were therefore bitter and not edible. The prices are actually perfectly fine if the quality were appropriate. It's a shame actually.

I've never eaten something so delicious! Alisia and Mesut do it just great. I am always very happy to eat there and I go there very often, about 2-3 times a week. The other employees are also very friendly and accommodating.
